I'm jealous of people who didn't experience frame drops. On the series S the grass render is SO bad. Needs more side quest and NPC's...
Honestly that is all the bad. Everything else is perfect to a T. Ranni is so cool! The other NPC's are all cool too. They definitely did a Dark Souls open world the right way. Plenty of stuff to keep you looking around, exploring. Sad the DLC took so long

I took my sweet time and conquered the Lands Between in every square meter, undigging all its secrets and stepping into every cave I could find. I got hooked on the loss of direction forcing me to explore every nook and cranny. Only Breath of the Wild could give me that sense of freedom before. Never will I experience anything like this again, which makes me kinda sad, but the feeling after beating the final boss brought true tears of joy to my eyes. Expand

I finally bought this game and why did I wait so long!? It might be the best game I've ever played. It is true magic, over and over again. This game is literally up there with Zelda, BOTW and Witcher 3.
And the biggest compliment I can give to this game is: I have beaten this game 3 times.
PONS: • Great story (but not the best) • Addicting combat • HUGE open-world • Full of content • Amazing Boss-Design • Breathtaking visuals • So much replay value • Vast variety of weapons and builds CONS: • The bosses Post-Game feel a lot

This game is a complete and utter disaster, failure, stinky **** of a game. If one of my friends says that his favourite game is this i would hire a hitman to kill them because they don’t deserve to live anymore.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I honestly thought Elden Ring was going to be just another Dark Souls game that ties in with the whole franchise. However, what we got was entirely different. We got an immersive, cinematic, lore-depth RPG with amazing graphics, story-telling, combat, community support, and lore. This is not Dark Souls. This is Elden Ring! This game is a must play and is differently worth 60$, if not more. I want to take a time machine back in time just to play this masterpiece of a game again.

The difficulty scaling is kind of high, but you get time to learn and adapt. There isn’t some impossible fighting mechanic that makes the combat system bad. The weapons system and the status build up mechanics are absolutely perfect and the characters are rememberable. The only problem I have is with the final boss, The Elden Beast, but even with this tiny, insignificant little flaw, this game is a perfect 10.

A worthy new title to follow up the sublime Dark Souls series. Fixed and improved upon almost every issue I had with Dark Souls III, and the Ash of War system is a worthy successor to the Weapon Art system. The open world is admirable and is up there with the greats of open world games.

Elden ring is a very good game to start in the souls saga since it has the difficulty of a souls and it is also open world, a very good game if you have not played any souls game postdata: the soundtrack is very good what a masterpiece, but I rate it with an 8 because if you are a casual gamer Elden ring could be quite difficult for you and that is somewhat frustrating at least for me

Revolutionary in open world game design. Takes the dark souls formula and builds on it masterfully. The lore that can be found around the world really adds to the game as well. Despite the great game design in most of the legacy dungeons, for every lyendell capital there is also a caelid or a mountaintops of the giants. First game in a long time where you get exactly what you payed for and exactly what was advertised, no micro transactions, no battle pass, just a massive playground where the only one limiting your enjoyment and progression is you. My advice, explore the world when you get stuck on a boss, go off the beaten path, strike first, strike hard, No mercy.

Amazing game. However, due to how long it is, repeated boss fights are annoying. The game is long enough they could have just omitted these. (And I'd recommend just skipping them when possible)
This is the only thing stopping it from getting a 10/10 from me.
It would have been nice if it had more true challenges late game, past Radahn (pre nerf) the game definitely goes straight into easy

Subsequent playthroughs were also a little disappointing as Radahn's nerf really made him a joke. Glad I got to do the fight in its original form.

Despite some annoying performance issues, Elden Ring is a masterpiece. The combat, enemy variety, exploration, music, and open world are top notch. I’ve been playing it daily across all platforms alongside other games all month, and look forward to doing that all year as I try new builds, help friends, and try to do everything I want in this triumph of a video game.

Elden Ring rewards your curiosity in many ways, be it items, runes or a pathway to another area, but mostly it’s a story to tell your friends when you are sharing tales around the bonfire. It does not force feed tutorials down your throat, but instead it leans far the opposite way by not telling you much at all and lets you explore and find things out on your own. There is no true quest log, no points of interest on a map or no arrows pointing you in the right direction, so there is a good chance you’ll miss some of the best caves and areas of the game. Because of all of this, Elden Ring is forcing me to find all of that out on my own and it is one of the most rewarding games I have ever played. I will continue to explore the Land Between for many hours to come. I’m just not in a hurry.

Elden Ring manages to draw the player into a fascinating world for many hours, with refined gameplay that fits perfectly with the freedom granted to the player. A sumptuous but imperfect work, which fails to completely overcome some of the historical flaws of Hidetaka Miyazaki's productions. Flaws that, however, can't diminish the scope of a masterpiece destined to leave an indelible mark on the videogame world and to set new standards for the souls-like and open-world genres.
