If you are ready for an epic, third person action adventure, then look no further than Atlas Fallen.

Atlas Fallen offers a lot of interesting things that many players will like. Although it does not innovate too much, it is convincing and fun to play.

Atlas Fallen does not invent the wheel, but it has a good level in almost all its sections, and bets on a charismatic fictional universe (with potential for a sequel). If you like hack and slash, action-RPGs or the rarities of the PS3 and Xbox 360 generation, here is one of the surprises of the year.

Atlas Fallen continues Focus Entertainment's run of publishing enjoyable new IPs and features the type of fast-paced action-RPG experience you'd expect to see from Deck13 Interactive. While it seems to lack much in the way of exciting story-based side content, which ultimately upsets the pacing of the main story, there is no doubt that Atlas Fallen is a feast for the eyes and a sand-surfing ride filled with plenty of high-octane combat encounters.

Atlas Fallen is close to being damned good. It is let down by a lack of variety in enemy encounters, poor side quests, and dreadful writing. Still, the combat quickly becomes damned fun and with the option of co-op, it’s well worth checking out if you want some God of Crackdown-style action platforming adventures.

Atlas Fallen is an interesting twist to the soulslike formula Deck 13 embraced in the past. Its open world system works well and the combat it's dynamic and fun, but it turns repetitive. The story lacks attractive and is has some technical issues.

Atlas Fallen has some ambitious ideas for a game of its scale, but its poor presentation holds back a promising combat system.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Playing this game on performance mode on the xbox series x is a huge surprise how good the game looks. The only thing I can think of is that is made using the unreal engine 5. It looks better then games in the unreal engine 4 running at 4k. Also its been so long since we have had a real good third person action rpg. It's far from perfect. But it is even further from being a bad game. I personally think releasing this game this close to Starfield was a wrong decision. I will say the game feels finished and not a mess that needs consistent updates. I've not run into 1 bug after 40hrs gameplay. That there shows the power of the unreal engine 5. I can't wait to see what games will be like when a large team dose a large game. Ignore some of the corny writing and tbe spirit in your glove and you will feel powerful Expand

It’s gotReally glad I got this one day one, but then I really like euro-jank. That said, this is a hard one to classify as euro-jank. It’s got surprisingly fluid and fun controls, and doesn’t feel blocky or stiff, like lots of other games from the publisher can feel.

Combat does take getting used to, and has a bit of a learning curve. Past that it’s rewarding and breaks up surfing across the very beautifully rendered world. Pop in is bad, but that has hardly been a male or break factor for me. So far just one crash about 5 hours in, none since then.

It’s a cool world to be in and I love the detail and care in so much of the populated areas. Though small it all feels deliberate. I say give it a chance I’d you like single player RPGs, there’s a lot to be enjoyed here. It does deserve a more epic score, I’ll say that.

The action part fulfills its mission well, but it should have been better used by the developers. The empty world of Atlas leaves something to be desired, although it presents beautiful visuals in many moments – but that is not enough to sustain a game. It's the kind of game that's worth spending time with and having a little fun with. It's not bad, but it's not good either.

The positive point is the unbridled action at various times and the possibility of playing in cooperative mode from the beginning. The soundtrack is sub-par, having no epic or rousing moments. Even in the big battles against giant bosses, the trails are just ordinary. I believe in the potential of Atlas Fallen, but the studio really needs to correct certain mechanics and improve some parts of it so that a possible continuation comes out well rounded.

The combat is okay. The rest of the game is horrid. This game competes with gollum for worst game of the year.

Finished it on hard as recommended by the developers and really disappointed.

You basically fight against a handful of minibosses over and over again throughout the whole game, all coming with excessive mob support to make the fights as chaotic and stressful as possible.

Tedious gameplay loop, terrible enemy art design and tons of boring npc dialogue to click through.

Surge was a cool gory soulslike but this is a stupid button masher lacking any style.
