Rating the game a 10 to balance out the 0's. In reality this game is probably a 7/10, but what do you expect from a $20 game? It's hard, it's fun, it's challenging and it looks pretty good.

Maybe all the 0's are coming from users who are use to having their hand held during a game and now they're frustrated that it actually takes several level play throughs to beat a boss at the end of

It's a really fun game.....it's not perfect. It is obvious it was made by the creator of Mega Man, and the plays similar enough you can tell it's a spiritual successor. It's not Mega Man 2, but it's far from the stink pile that was Mega Man X7. I'm giving it a 10, because it deserves a 7, but with all the negative reviews I feel it needs to be higher to pull up the score.

At first i was unsure about this because of the mixed and negative reviews. I played the demo and enjoyed it so i thought Id take a risk and get the full game. First of all there are no problems with the frame rate, graphics or sound. It all runs so smooth and the controls are perfect. If you dont like default set up, you can change them. Megaman is one of my favourite games and Mighty no 9 is Megaman. The way the levels are set out, the bosses, the characters and yes even the controls. If like me you are a Megaman fan then please ignore the low scores and negative reviews and go buy it. The story is ok, just what you'd expect. But if you follow it closely you'll soon pick up that it kinda follows on from Megaman 6 on the NES. You'd be forgiven for assuming this could be Megaman 7 how it was intended. Like my DOOM review I'll emphisise how old skool this game is and the negative reviews have most prob come from the youth of today. Even the 'profetional' critic reviews. If you love Megaman then youll love Mighty no 9. Expand

Its a great game, i dont know why all the critics doesnt like the game, a lot of people judge it even without having play it. The grafics are bad, ok, but there its a lot of good games with bad grafics, like shovel knight. Mighty its not perfect and its not the best game of the world, thats its clear, but i had a lot of fun playing. Visually not current gen, but has the feeling of a great PS2 generation AAA title. Gameplay is well thought and unique. I feel it is a good start if they ever make another.

The game certainly isn't perfect, but it's incredibly fun. It feels like a true successor to Megaman 8 and Megaman X, simultaneously. The game plays fast, fun, and furious.

I was not a backer and I didn't get caught up in the hype. People giving it less than a seven need to see a shrink about their narcissistic, self-entitled ways.

Great game! Not a fan of the childish design but the gameplay is excellent. Wish you could buy life and energy recovery like in megaman but still its a nice game with a lot of challenge and difficulty levels.

Is it the greatest game in the world? No. But I've been having fun with it and it's probably the closest we're going to get to a new Mega Man game for a while.

FYI- A game pad is mandatory if you don't want cramped fingers and rage fits.

What could of been a perfect successor to the megaman series turned out to be short to the expectations we had, this is correct the textures in this game are horrible , the fire don't get me started , I saw the IGN review before playing the game and they said "I barely used the powers I collected " this is a lie all the powers are useful if you're a skilled player, I found myself playingWhat could of been a perfect successor to the megaman series turned out to be short to the expectations we had, this is correct the textures in this game are horrible , the fire don't get me started , I saw the IGN review before playing the game and they said "I barely used the powers I collected " this is a lie all the powers are useful if you're a skilled player, I found myself playing with the skills quite often to add some variety to the gameplay.

Anyways as a megaman fan I recommend this because it's a fun game after all if you want a good platform with smooth 60fps then just buy it, it's cheap and challenging at some points.

I bought the game having low expectations, but with the hope that the game would be patched up sooner or later. To my surprise the game is a lot of fun!! Not only that, the game runs smooth!! The controls are tight!! IGN claimed there was noticible frame rate rate drops but I have not noticed it, maybe there was a day one patch? I don't know, but what I do know is that after finishing 70% of the game I have not noticed anything. Some have claimed the controls feel sloppy, Wrong!!! I play mostly twitch type games, so I can tell pretty quickly if some games have sloppy controls, and I guarantee you this game has good controls! In fact the only thing I can think of is the Jump button, when you lightly touch the jump button Beck will barely jump off the floor, But when you press it longer he will max out his jump, so I have died a few cheap deaths when I lightly jumped, when I should have maxed it out, sure I got upset!! But that was my fault, I'm not some clown that will blame the game!! So its funny to me how so many people that havent even played the game are judging it based on other peoples opinions! If you like Mega_man Buy it! Its a great game, its tough so most people will not like it, I think that's what has upset so many people. At least people that have played, which apperantly not many have. Expand

You wanted Mega Man and got it. The only issue? YOU forgot that Mega Man can have, and is mostly made of, **** entries. This happened to be the case this time.

... Or so keep saying, most likely because it isn't what's familiar to them. However, I agree that the game did some things quite right! Dashing was fun, absorption was not. Some of the powers were useful instead of 1 or none

Some of the powers were useful instead of 1 or none throughout the game so don't believe the myth that only 3 were useful because there was so many more, weapon energy has recovery and isn't hard to lose to encourage actually using it. Enemies are decently varied and entertaining to go up against, spawning directly on top of MN9 was not. Ducking is automatic in hazardous areas, except one? A mixed bag, but absolutely leaning on positive!

A frustrating, joyless platformer that buries its few good ideas under apathetic nostalgia. [Sept 2016, p.77]

Mighty No. 9 is largely not fun, and irritating in many ways: controls, voice acting, repetitive music. It is a hollow and empty experience. This is pretty much the kind of game you'll buy when it's on sale dirt cheap to see what all the fuss was about.

Mighty No. 9 fails to fill the shiny blue, metallic, oversized boots of its predecessor. The game manages to capture the essentials of the previous titles without capturing the essence.
