    the multiplayer is broken- you can't see your friends online, you can't join games, i can't even get into a multiplayer game by myself. so unless you want to play the campaign why buy the game until they fix it?

    I wish I could give it a 9.9/10. Everything about it is absolutely glorious, with the exception of some of the remastered sounds in the Halo 2A campaign. I just miss the old sounds of things like the SMG, Sniper, Ghost and some stuff like that. Its only a tiny detail, but options in the menu for that would be awesome (even if they might be unnecessary)

    One can't ignore how outdated these games feel, even with the graphical polish. I'm looking at you Halo 1 and 2. It's still the classic games we loved 10 years ago, but now the controls feels so clunky and the environments fell barren and lonely. Master Chief moves so slow!     It is the best pack of the year !!! Not only have 4 games is one, you have two fully renovated graphically and all in HD and 60 fps.
    There is little to say about how awesome these games are, they not only changed the way we see the shooters, their story and plot are striking, besides containing all the best online (speaking of consoles).

    Halo: MCC is an excellent game. You get hours upon hours of content for such a small price, not only that you get access to the upcoming Halo 5 beta which is a prize in itself. If you love Halo then purchase this, you will not be disappointed.

    I was overjoyed at the fact that the Halo Collection was coming out. I could finally have all of the remastered games in one place. I went to the midnight release and got back around 12:30 I couldn't wait to play. I inserted the game and waited three hours for the massive 88 gigabyte download to install. It allows you to go into the game until its fully downloaded only to get your hopes upI was overjoyed at the fact that the Halo Collection was coming out. I could finally have all of the remastered games in one place. I went to the midnight release and got back around 12:30 I couldn't wait to play. I inserted the game and waited three hours for the massive 88 gigabyte download to install. It allows you to go into the game until its fully downloaded only to get your hopes up of playing. The next day after 8 hours of downloading I was finally able to play. I tried to invite my friends to a party and it didn't work. So I tried again. And again. We ended up playing only 2 games in 2 hours. Do the difficult math and that is one matchmaking game an hour. I had more fun just using the xbox as a cell phone to chat with my friends and make jokes while we endlessly tried to get the game to work. I miss the good old days where 16 people could connect with ease. Now all I do is accept an invite to connect and not connect. What is the point of inviting someone if it doesn't even work? I would rather play solo Sunset Overdrive than try to play multiplayer Halo. You should never hear anyone say that in your life. If you don't believe me then go see for yourself. Go try to connect to a game of team swat, after 45 minutes of waiting come back on and post for yourself. If you can prove that you played 3 games in 45 minutes then contact me and I will personally give you 100 dollars via Paypal. That is how confident I am. The only reason I rated this game a 3 is because of the legacy. Back to Call of Duty and Destiny whose makers actually do things right.… Expand

    This is easily worth it's cost, and those who have not yet got to know this particular piece of console gaming history can get easily introduced.

    Best value in gaming right here. I've always enjoyed Halo. As someone who likes science fiction games, Halo is a series that holds a place in my heart. All 4 games included in this collection are my favorite games from the series made to look prettier and generally run better than before. Also included are all of the original multiplayer modes for all 4 games, all of the maps for all 4Best value in gaming right here. I've always enjoyed Halo.     This is by far the best game/gift on any console to date..... I never thought I would see the day when they remastered the greatest games of my time. Im 34 and Halo CE came out when i was 21. All the LAN parties that took place were amazing! Halo 2 brought xbox live and I played online so much I never got to play the campaign before some moron stole my disc...

    Halo 2 on this disc looks amazing! The lighting, graphics and character movement look stellar!!! I havent even seen Halo 3 or 4 yet so thats for later.
    343 did a great job organizing this game. One may get overwhelmed if they didnt do it right but they did it perfect! Nothing has changed in these games and back when they were originally released, I think the lowest score they got was a 9 or 9.5 and thats why I am giving it a 10. Its got the same great game play we have all grown to love with Halo, it looks 10x better, its smooth and now every game is online... Perfect 10 for me.    … Expand

    I've been playing Halo since Combat Evolved, and this is the best package to get me up-to-date again, just in time for Halo 5 next year. I love the graphic improvements, and gameplay-wise they didn't change anything, good job 343i.

    9 points because it is great game cll for nostalgia and guys like me , who want to feel what does it means. But as game of 2014 it is not great.     A halo dream, everything is perfect, It has every map and the Halo 5 beta. This brings home all the classics we know and love and really shows how much the FPS market has sucked compared to what it is today

    This is an excellent game, the graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is fantastic and the story is great ( for all 4 games) and I only needed to pay 60$. This is a must have for xbox one owners and in my opinion is the best game on it. Not talking about the campaign, the multiplayer is nothing short of excellence; it is balanced, competitive and a lot of fun.     The master chief collection is good for any one who has played halo not so much for people who have not i feel if people who never play Halo 1 or 2 are not going to play the classic online which is a big part of the collection and Halo 1 Anniversary graphics are not impressive.     Last of Us Remastered was an ass of a remake mainly because it was a "REMASTERED" version of a game that came out less than a year ago. Master Chief Collection however, is a great game for the amount of content it has and the just the replay ability alone can hold anyone over.

I know that there are 6 or 8 years old kids playing this game, but i have always enjoyed the story, the gameplay and the world design.     Anyone who gives this game a 0,1, whatever is just being stupid. There is too much good in this game to add up to a zero. Basically, look at the critic score if you want a sincere review (as always with Metacritic) because the user review is riddled with fanboys and people who probably haven't even played it.

    Halo MCC pretty much one of the best games to start out with if anyone was to get a Xbox one, the collection of 4 great games running on there own engines is a nice touch but it does have a few minor problems from launch that will most likely be fixed soon enough.

    Even tho the first two were on original Xbox they shine fairly nicely due to the treatment they have received, specially Halo 2 with there new cut scenes and updated graphics. The feeling of each game still shows but even then that wont stop you from enjoying them. Personal note, as much as I love the first three the fourth I find not as great but still a fairly fun ride none the less.

    With the single player each game has returned with there own multiplayer and that even means Halo 1's multiplayer tho if I'm not mistaken is actually the PC version thanks to the new weapons that was only on the PC release. As much fun I had playing them already I will admit, the servers on day one lack greatly, taking plenty of time to get you into a game if you can even get in one that is. Patches will fix this but as of now it's kind of a bummer not being able to hop into what ever game you wish as quick as you want.

    With all of that said it is great to replay all four games once again, looking back from where it started to where it last ended really does put a smile on your face.    … Expand

True the graphics for the first two games may be a bit dated, but man they look good considering, and at 60fps they run buttery smooth!     Its Halo a collection of quality games that comes in quantity as well. We get the best of both world's. Definitely the best remaster set to ever come out. Best part is the game is older then 1 year and isn't a flat out money grab like TLOU.

    Don't see how this is anything less then a 10, it's exactly what they promised it would be and more. 4 games all remastered, Halo 2 and 4 are by far the stand outs, they look like true next gen games especially 2, and switching between the old and new graphics is hopelessly fun. The combat from 1 and 2 still hold up surprisingly well.     One of the clear games that deserves a ten..anything less than an 8 is from a trolling sony fanboy disregard it..this is truly a gem! If you own an xbox1 its a must own, and if you don't own an xbox one this game just made it a must own. Get on it!

    Three incredible Halo games and one okay game (*Cough* Halo 4 *Cough*) all in one package with all of each games content thrown in to the mix. Halo 2 Anniversary is clearly the star of the show here, and it is amazing to play my favorite Halo game in glorious HD.

    10/10, superb value for your money!

    I can now see why TLOU: Remastered received a much higher score than the Halo: Master Chief Collection on Metacritic.

    Quality over quantity. Then again, TLOU has plenty of content as well. Halo is just too outdated in this day and age. Let Halo 5 be the sand to cover up the grave that is Halo.

    There is just one Word for this: Amazing. The greatest and most polished HD Collection so far. 4 Games that made Game History, Halo 5 Beta and Halo Nightfall. Sure, who dont like Halo wont so after this, but thats for all Games. Everyone who likes Halo or Shooters, just HAVE TO BUY!

    Halo 1-3 is an amazing Franchise and instantly makes this worth $60, espically in the future, BUT, the launch is a wash with problems, and many MANY things will need to be patched in the future. In a span of 4 hours the game has crashed 4 times, locked up my Xbox twice, it takes 10 to 30 minutes to find a single match. In a 4 hour period i only found 6 games. The game often studders inHalo 1-3 is an amazing Franchise and instantly makes this worth $60, espically in the future, BUT, the launch is a wash with problems, and many MANY things will need to be patched in the future.     At Launch, this will be constant frustration for mutiplayer, but i would assume they will work quickly to fix these issues, still a Launch of a game is the most important time and to have microsoft backing you with server support and to still have these issues...Its a bit of a disgrace.    … Expand

    You really gotta laugh at the kids giving this 0. This is the definitive halo experience so tastefully done that I almost can't believe it. I'm in love all over again. Hours of well packed content ahead of me... I am as giddy as I was when I first played halo. thankyou 343i, for treating my favorite franchise with such respect.

    I just played 2 hours or so of Halo 2 and...how can you not love this collection? This is how remakes should be done, there are 4 full great games and multiplayer content for life. This is a must have for any gamer!

    This collection is a love-letter to these astonishing games. The mere amount of content blew my mind.     The redone Halo 2 cutscenes look beautiful and it was a pleasure to play through the campaign again. For that alone and the multiplayer (which features more then a hundred maps!) halo-veterans probably would enjoy this collection.
    I also recommend this collection to anyone who has not yet played any Halo game and is looking for a way to change that.    … Expand

    4 legendary games, 1 beta for halo 5, 100 multiplayer maps and halo nightfall series, this is just too much for only 60 bucks.
    freaking 10 out of 10 because of the value for the money.

    I never played halo on the xbox 360, but sometimes i wish i did.
    So now i have the chance and i've played now for 6 hours in one row.

    i love it it's like mass effect but with less story more action. halo 1 feels old but that doesn't matter.
    i can't wait to play halo 2 tomorrow.

    The MasterChief Collection was all I wanted. Replay old memories with new graphics and sound effects. The new cinematics really adds up to the game. Plus, you have all 3 other games with it. It's a very good deal overall for only 60$. It's a must have for your game collection on your xbox one.

    The only thing negative things are maybe loading that are too long, sometimes some FPS drop    The MasterChief Collection was all I wanted. Replay old memories with new graphics and sound effects. The new cinematics really adds up to the game. Plus, you have all 3 other games with it. It's a very good deal overall for only 60$. It's a must have for your game collection on your xbox one.

    The only thing negative things are maybe loading that are too long, sometimes some FPS drop on campaign. Also, matchmaking are broken right now since it takes an eternity to find players. I hope it will get fix soon enough :)    … Expand

If you've played Halo and enjoyed it, this is the easiest recommendation anyone could ever make. If you've never played Halo or were too young to have gone back and played the first couple of games, you owe it to yourself to see what made this franchise what it is today. It's Halo 2 that gets the "anniversary treatment", so you'll notice the biggest jump in visuals there.     Halo is on a decline and the master chief collection shows that. Halo 1 and 2 as good games show the how forlorn halo 3 and 4 are. Still halo 2 doesn't even run at native 1080p.

    A bit of a disaster...Why? It's a half-assed, crudely cobbled-together product prone to crashing, lockups (and as of press time) absolutely non-functional multiplayer.

    The problems with the multiplayer modes of the game are still there, but you can't overlook the greatness of the 4 games this package offers.
