    AWESOME GAME! Thumbs up... The only thing I miss are the Spartan Ops Missions, but Halostory and MP is quite enough. The Remake of Halo 2 is wonderful. The Sequences are beautiful and they show the possibilities of the New Age Rendergraphics.

    Don't listen to all the trolls rating the game with 0's and 1's. Yes, there are issues with matchmaking at this time, however, I have still managed to play multiple matchmaking games. My only issue in Campaign is that once in a while when I pause the game, it will take me to the campaign menus. Outside of that, its been incredible. It's everything a Halo fan could want.     The moment that the main menu fires up and you hear the classic Halo theme, nostalgia kicks in. i love Halo and the fact that I can replay all four Halo games for $60 is a deal I could never pass up.

Its still an awesome experience to play single player, and there are 10s of hours of content there alone! Then you have the multiplayer, which is revamped and what not! Don't get me wrong its sad I can't play the multiplayer, but the campaign is just as fun!     The focus of gameplay for me was jumping back into split screen campaign mode for the remastered Halo CE and Halo 2. This did not disappoint in this area. Would I purchase a remastered HALO CE and Halo 2 for single player probably not, if you missed the 360 releases getting Halo 3 / 4 is a good. Experienced crashing even after massive updates approximately 1 per play through the campaigns.

    4 games for the price of 1! Remastered Halo and Halo 2. These are the games that fully got me into the Xbox in the first place. Falling in love with the games all over again is amazing. Once the multiplayer issues are ironed out this will get 10/10

    Halo the master chief collection is a great package containing 4 of the greatest games of all time. What more is there to ask. Also coming with forge for three of the games,custom games for all the games, the halo 5 beta, 4 campaigns, a movie, and dedicated multiplayer for all 4 games this is the ultimate package.     This is a great deal for the price, every single game in the collection are very good & worthy of a play through & the remastered graphics make it that much better but the multi-player was a little disappointing so I couldn't give it a perfect score but when they patch the multi-player the game will definitely be a 10

    The story of a pack as Halo. Four complete games in one. The first, third and fourth part is actually only received minor updates. The second part, however, has been fully customized. New graphics and videos are included. The more players there are 100 routes or segments. However, in the beginning it was very bad for the multiplayer part, because we had to wait a long time for a game.

    The Master Chief collections is a great Deal, but it suffers from one thing, and that is the Server Bugs. Right now most of it is gone but there is still a great majority of bugs. There is not many game bugs, mostly server issues.

    The Campaign was fun to go through, the terminals gave up a lot of story, the Cutscenes were great though they are pre rendered. I got so much nostalgia playing through the game, Halo 1 multiplayer was the best thing.

    Does it deserve a 10/10? Until the multiplayer is fixed no.

    A huge amount of content and fun for the price. Most buyers have likely played through the entire campaign of all the games included, but it is fun to relive and play them again. Playing the early games again is a bit off-putting at first because of the odd and floaty controls but once you get them down again it's amazing to relive the game from the beginning, and having them remastered.A huge amount of content and fun for the price. With everything included from all 4 of the games (including online capabilities added to Halo 1 and 2, as well as all the Spartan Ops missions from Halo 4) this game is easily a no-brainer investment for Halo fans or anyone that doesn't still own and original Xbox with the entire series of games. The only reason I'm not giving this game a higher rating is because there are a few bugs (included from the first 2 games) that were included in the remaster that are yet to be fixed at the time of this review. There was also an issue with matchmaking early in the launch (causing players to sit in the lobby for upwards to 30 minutes waiting for a game) but it seems to have been corrected.… Expand

    Gorgeous game! The remastered maps are done beautifully. One of the best values in Xbox one gaming. As a fan of sci fi gaming Halo is one of the leaders of the genre. Re-playing my favorite games has been a treat. Everything has been smooth except a few hiccups in multiplayer. Do yourself a favor and pick this up!

    Four great campaigns, fun forge mode. Each game looks significantly better, especially the completely remastered halo 2. However, it's unfortunate the multiplayer servers have not been working right. Overall very good value with four fun games and many multiplayer maps.

    The second shortcoming is that FPS drops once in a while, in co-op even below 30 so it really is noticeable. Then again I don't mind it that much when the game works like a charm. I like it. I love it. I can't wait for Halo 5. Even with these problems this is, for me personally, the best Xbox One exclusive out now and one of the best considering all platforms (at least for last year).    … Expand

    Uma das sagas mais incríveis que joguei, a história é impressionante, uma das maiores ja vista em um jogo, o gameplay é legal e divertido, as vezes fica um pouco enjoativo, mas as qualidades são tantas que apagam isso. Trilha sonora é magnífica, e por ai vai. Quem tem um xbox one e nunca jogou halo esta perdendo um jogão, recomendo demais.

    If you are a fan of Halo, there is no doubt you'll love this game, because it is the same good old 360 games, but remastered and playable with the XONE online community. Great game, brings back good memories, it is actually very enjoyable to revisit these games on a next-gen console. Really worth the purchase.

    Halo 2 Anniversary was the main selling point of the MC collection and I wasn't disappointed like Halo CE it looks gorgeous, sounds brilliant and plays like a wet dream (sorry for that) it was buggy from time to time though with enemies spazing out from time to time. (8/10)
    Halo 3 also got the remastered treatment, not as much as Halo 2 as the graphics already looked good for its time but what they did was change the lighting to better bring out the colours, it was weird that the sequel looked worse than the previous instalment graphically but it doesn't bother me much, Halo 3 still remains the crown jewel of the MC collection. (10/10)
    Halo 3: ODST was a bit of a hit and miss, some people enjoyed it (like me) and some people hated it, the graphics got the same treatment as Halo 3 with improved lighting and stuff so it feels smooth and familiar, the gameplay is just plain awesome and the city looked so great in the first place but now it looks awesome. (9/10)
    Halo 4 is the bad egg in this saga because I personally hated Halo 4 due to the fact that the story is B.S and the armour looks too detailed, the armour in Halo: Reach was big and bulky and looked like it could stop a bullet while the armour in Halo 4 looks weak and pathetic. The whole SPOILER ALERT chosen by the Forerunners thing was a joke and I hated the sound of Cortana's voice by the end of it I was glad she's dead. SPOILER END and to top it off the multiplayer was AWFUL back on the 360 with killstreak rewards or 'supply drops' as they call it and the ability to choose a load-out just killed the halo feel of it and made it feel like COD, screw you 343, if it ain't broke don't fix it. And by that I mean Halo: Reach was the pinnacle of multiplayer and you decided to stick your hand in a blender and complain about how much it hurts. (6/10)

    All in all Halo MC is worth a buy and worth a play despite the monumental cock-up with the multiplayer at launch because like everything else, it gets fixed.

    Halo: CE retained its nostalgia with updated graphics, and is the same Anniversary edition that was released for the Xbox 360. Halos 3, 4 and ODST are all essentially the same games with some new user interfacing in the menus to tie the games together.

    But the real trophy here is Halo 2. Before the Master Chief Collection, Halo 2 was mostly inaccessible due to it being quite an old game for the original Xbox and widespread compatibility issues for the PC. Halo 2 was like watching the Special Edition of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in the late '90s: just as compelling as the first time, and somehow better. The graphics are better than Halo 4, the cutscenes are easier to watch, and all the old secrets are still in place.

    I am not a huge fan of multiplayer games. If you play Halo for the multiplayer, then for the first 6 months you may have been disappointed. The system needed more work than 343 had done before the release, and they should have waited to release. The multiplayer seems to be working now, but the wait on multiplayer is the reason for a 9 instead of a 10.

    Overall, $60 gets you 5 FPS games with over 1000 hours of play time and 50 hours of (legendary difficulty) campaign. There are few arguments against how good of a deal this is, and the games are incredible.    … Expand

    It is a great game, I started playing it must be three months ago so I don't saw all the multiplayer problems the people said it has, but anyway great game or almost 6 games including ODST and Spartan Ops, it is incredible how the remastered the old games, so I knew all the Master Chief history on one game.

    Taking for given that I have not experienced the initial broken state of the Multiplayer, I've come to love this collection for what it is, a nostalgia trip through my childhood, master chief's adventure is one of the greatest stories ever told in a videogame, it has grown on me, and even after a decade or so after its first release, it still delivers an enjoyable gameplay (    AMAZING

    Of course it is not perfect, I have encountered a few bugs here and there and the multiplayer could've been more enjoyable if more populated, but I got what I came for, the campaigns ( which include HALO CE, HALO 2, HALO 3 and 4, with a separate DLC for HALO 3 ODST). The only thing that's keeping me from giving this game a 10 is the fact of the extra pay-to-play DLC whichI would've really liked for it to be included.    … Expand

    I only really bought this so I could play Halo 2 online. I really enjoyed the original Halo 2 graphics more for multiplayer. But c'mon, halo 1-4 for 60$, count me in.

    Two years ago, i thought i will never own xbox. I thought i will never play halo. If i only could know... Collection of the best games in history of xbox. You must buy this if you own that console. 9/10 - only cuz launch multiplayer problems. Otherwise it would be ten.

I bought this game so I could play halo twos campaign. I enjoyed it very much. With its amazing cutscences, great graphics, and 60fps, I enjoyed it. I do admit there are some area's too dark, but besides that, they areHalo the master chief collection is a amazing remaster. However, I was never able to experience Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3. I was able to play Halo 4, but only because it was on the 360. So when this was released, I got it, and I loved it. I'm not discussing the multiplayerI've been a fan of Halo for a while now. Ever since Halo Reach, I played every Halo game after that. I'm not a fanatic, but I still love the franchise. However, I was never able to experience Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3. I was able to play Halo 4, but only because it was on the 360. So when this was released, I got it, and I loved it. I think Bungie's Halo saga really speaks for its self in terms of greatness being the reason why many got an Xbox in the first place. At its standing price it is about $30 which a steal for Halo Combat Evolved remastered, Halo 2 remastered and Halo 3 remastered.     Well, Halo Mater Chief Collection did not have the best launch in the game history but it offered so many great things that it was worth picking it up. When i first bought the game i brought it home, installed the game on my Xbox one and from the menu i had a good feeling about the game. i replayed Halo Trilogy in a month, first i encountered some minor bugs in Halo Combat EvolvedWell, Halo Mater Chief Collection did not have the best launch in the game history but it offered so many great things that it was worth picking it up. When i first bought the game i brought it home, installed the game on my Xbox one and from the menu i had a good feeling about the game. i replayed Halo Trilogy in a month, first i encountered some minor bugs in Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary and Remastered Graphics were...i don't know i never related to the remastered graphics so i changed the graphics to classic combat evolved but there was another problem...i could not change the audio to the classic combat evolved! it really pissed me off cause i had some great memories with the original combat evolved audio. Halo 2 Anniversary was a big surprise, remake cut scenes, improved audio, better lightning...i was not disappointed with halo 2 anniversary and i think 343 did a way better job with halo 2 anniversary than halo Combat evolved anniversary. Halo 3 played the same and i enjoyed it just like when it was released on 360 but halo 3 felt a little bit dated i mean the game was 8 years old at that time, i don't say halo 3 needed or still needs an anniversary just saying that they can improve it on some parts. Halo 4 on the other hand was a big surprise, i did not enjoy Halo 4 when i first played it but when i replayed it on master chief collection i thought it was a pretty good game, not as good as Bungie's Halo Trilogy but a nice addition that could have started a Better trilogy! (which did not happen cause of Halo 5) it was a little bit disappointing that reach wasn't included in the Mater chief collection but i was okay with it, then i went for the multiplayer and that's where the real problems happened, i was so excited to play halo 2's multiplayer or halo 3's multiplayer again but when i went for matchmaking, out of the ten matches i ended up playing three of them. Multiplayer was so flawed in the master chief collection that caused the developers to apologize for it! but you know it's 2020 and i replayed the master chief collection. it had been 6 years since i played Halo Combat Evolved and near 5 years since i played halo 2 and i enjoyed my time 100%. the bugs and everything were patched in the latest update and now in 2020 i can say that the master chief collection is kinda the definitive way to approach the halo games before halo infinite. i am really excited to replay Halo 3 and Halo 4 and Halo Reach (yes they finally added reach and ODST ) with the master chief collection on Xbox Series X with 120fps and 4k resolution!… Expand

    Halo MCC in 2019 is a goldmine of superb shooters with great stories and ground-breaking multiplayer from Halo Combat Evolved to Halo 4 and the soon released Halo Reach on the MCC. The game runs so well on the XBOX ONE X and even on base XBOX One! If you own a XBOX ONE or Xbox Game Pass this is essential.

    Although admittedly quite broken in the past, the game has undergone a recent stream of updates in the last two year. Without a doubt, this is currently one of the Xbox One's best games. And with the introduction of a remastered Halo: Reach now apart of the collection, it has made the game reach a new height of popularity.

    all the haloes in a single game, remastered to 4k ... it's just amazing and almost all the haloes are great! The only thing I don't like is that it has no crossplay or cross gen. you cannot play with people from pc with xbox (or vice versa) or with those from X360. great.

    The game has bad flashbacks to 2014 but other than that it is now astonishing, I love how they came back and fixed it and gave the game another shot! Halo 2 Anniversary runs in damn 4k and the Forge in Halo 3 is more expansive than ever!

    While at launch, the game was a buggy mess almost as bad as a Bethesda game, but now it has become an amazing experience with hundreds of hours of content and 700 achievements. It simple: if you own an Xbox One or Series X, you need MCC.

They even went as far to improve Firefight, by adding Flood Firefight for Halo 3 ODST.     This game had an extremely rough start, but it is now in a very enjoyable state, and even after H5 drops, I will continue to play MCC for a long time. I can only hope that 343 doesn't forget about it and continues to improve it, and begins supporting community forge creations as well. H2a is BEAUTIFUL, and is honestly worth the 60$ by itself.

Without them, I would easily rank "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" with a 9 or even higher.     I'll be honest, I wasn't exactly sure how I was gonna properly dissect this collection. When I first got my Xbox One back in 2015, it came with a download code for this collection and, having not played the "Halo" games at the time, I was admittedly pretty excited to see what I had been missing. And while the collection didn't turn me into the biggest, most hardcore "Halo" fan on the planet, I do very much enjoy the series based on what I've played. But the collection itself is a bit hard for me to dissect: as great as it's been getting to experience what I've been missing and play the campaigns of these four great games, I feel like the excitement for the collection itself was bogged down by the hideous, bug-riddled launch and the fact that there still seems to be some problems with it. Bearing that in mind, would I still recommend "Halo: The Master Chief Collection?" Well, yeah, I would!
    For the sheer fact that this collection bundles four great to excellent titles, "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" is already an enticing product. Adding the fact that the "Halo 2" featured on this collection is an improved "Anniversary" edition of the game, and that only adds to the excitement. Each game still plays extremely well and hold up excellently on the Xbox One, and being able to play them all at a smooth 60 FPS with improved visuals just makes them that much nicer. The collection is also loaded to the brim with content, and with the fact that you'll be able to add "Halo 3: ODST" and "Halo Reach" to the collection as well just adds even more to what's an already gigantic package.
    On the downside, though, I don't know if I can say in good conscience that the collection is absolute perfection given that the game still appear to have several bugs and glitches rearing their ugly head every once in a while, and while I appreciate that 343's continued to support and improve the collection, it feels a bit confusing that they've been supporting it this long and it still has issues. Also, I'm still a bit unsure of whether I feel the collection does enough for players who already own the "Halo" games. Yes, it has "Halo 2 Anniversary" exclusive to it, but I feel like it doesn't quite scream "essential" unless you never experienced the series before this (like I did).
    Even so, flaws and all, "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" is a massive collection of some pretty great games, and it's definitely impressive to see how far it's come since the ugly launch back in 2014. Sure, there's still some issues, and it may not be the best for people that have already played the hell out of the games back in the day, but if you're looking to get into the "Halo" series, there's no better place to start than right here.

Never the less, 343 made up for their follies and even sweetened the deal with a free release of the remastered ODST as an add on. After a weekend of storming around New Mombasa, I am happy to say, I amHalo: MCC kicked off with a turbulent release based off an assortment of issues involving show stopping bugs in the remastered Halo 2 and ridiculously faulty server / match making issues. Never the less, 343 made up for their follies and even sweetened the deal with a free release of the remastered ODST as an add on. After a weekend of storming around New Mombasa, I am happy to say, I am no longer butt hurt.

    With that said, Halo:MCC has shaped up to truly worthy of the title. 1080p, 60fps adds new spice to game play and the digitally remastered Halo 2 is spectacular.     This is 4 games in 1 so it's already a better deal than the Orange Box. The installing takes days but when that painfull process is done you can enjoy all the games as you remembered them. And the remastery of halo 2 is far greater than what they did with halo 1. Epic in scale

Sometimes matches disconnect for no reason or will start with uneven players on each team. Still, the Customs offer for much MP satisfaction if teaming up with friends. Forge mode and Theater of course make their return.

    The game also comes with a mini-tv series of Halo:Nightfall, a live action story bridging Halo 4 to Halo 5 when it releases next year. And finally, the game comes with Beta access to Halo 5 online MP.

    The game is packed with content and delivers is many ways. It's a must own for most as the story and MP offer so much. However it has troubles with online MP and it hurts the score from the perfect "10".     My favorite game on Xbone so far (DAI doesn't come out for another 4 days), the best frame rate I've ever seen on a shooter and the transition between old and remastered graphics is so smooth, just one thing that's a huge let down, the multiplayer bug, please fix matchmaking soon, 343.

If you want a game where you can sit back and unload mountains of bulletts into random creatures and have a laugh doing so then this is a game for you.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This was my first game ever on the original Xbox console. Loved it to bits. The second HALO was good but I was losing interest in games. When I got my xbox360 I never realy bothered with HALO 3 and by the time HALO 4 came out I had lost interest again in gaming. I never playedthe multiplayer parts of any of these games.

    I couldn't resist a complete collectors eddition of all 4 games and I must say I am having a blast! These are really good games and next to forza and GTA5 the best right now on XBOX one. Still haven't played the online mode, so it never concerned me that that part of the game was (apparently) broken at first.

    The package is wel presented and just feels like a treasure trove. It's amazing how consistent the games all feek together in terms of gameplay yet each one is a fresh experience. All games are really worth playing although HALO CE does feel a bit dated and the cut scenes stutter really badly. That should not happen, they are not taxing for the system, just badly ported. For me that knocks off a point from a perfect 10.

    The point is knocked off because however good I think it is, I don't believe this is a game for everyone no matter what. The story isn't good enough to justify that statement. To me, a game with a 9 or higher should be no-brainer must buy. Sadly many professional critics use a 9 too easily.

    However, if you for a really tight shooter (at least for what I can attest toi in campaign mode) with some great level design (love the great set pieces with the vehicles) the I can highly recommend this game.    … Expand

The problems are that the multiplayer ist still a bit broken and you cant play split screen halo 2 aniversary. you cant, the framerate goes below 20 and am not talking about 4 player split screen, am talking about 2 player split creen. thats **** m8. but if you play alone you will have no trouble

    A fun remaster of the previous halos, TMCC is a good time to play through the remastered and improved old halos (press left center button). The multiplayer is great too.

    Para mi fue perfecta esta coleccion, ya que era nuevo en el mundo de halo. el 1 y 2 son larguisimos. Ya el 3 y 4 mejoran graficos pero acortan campaña. Aunque con el 2 hicieron un trabajo espectacular con las cinematicas.

Unfortunately, it does not feature the Firefight mode found in the 360 release. But the multiplayer maps are now in their original graphics engine form. They had been previously updated for the 2011 remaster. Also included in this collection is Halo 2: Anniversary Edition. This update adds CGI cutscenes, new graphical and sound effects. Additionally, six of its multiplayer maps have been remade with the new graphics engine.

    Halo 3 is the least visually impressive of the four games on this disc. It was simply upscaled to display in 1080p and 60 FPS. Halo 4 was also just ported and not revamped, but its graphics still impress. Overall, The Master Chief Collection is essential for any Halo fan.     It took them way way waaaaaaaaaaaaay to long to fix the multiplayer to this game. But now that it is fixed, it is an absolute blast to play alone and with friends. It's a great way to recapture the magic of everything we loved about Halo so dearly.

    늙었어도 역시 한번 명작은 영원한 명작...1,2편이 리마스터가 잘되서 3편이 찰흙으로 보이는 기현상까지 일어난다..역시 ODST와 4편부터 슬슬 질리기 시작하는건 어쩔수없는듯

    I just got Xbox Game Pass for only a dollar and I had never played Halo in my whole entire life. I had always wanted to play Halo, as soon as the game was done downloading, I played Halo Reach the first mission was decent but by the end of the game I was amazed by how good the campaign was, I will soon play Halo CE. I hope this doesn’t discredit the rest of my reviews here but I didn’t like this game.. the story is good & the soundtrack holds up but that’s where the positives end for me.. for the Master Chief collection it would’ve been nice if they fully remastered this game too cuz it seriously needs some fine tuning after all these years, even with an enhanced version I still can’t get past a lot of the flaws here. This is a issue I have with the series as a whole but I’m not a fan of the physics. Yeah, jumping 10 feet in the air, having Moon gravity for vehicles or when you get melee’d by an enemy is funny sometimes but.. when it’s the cause of deaths is when I have an issue.. nothing will ever be worse than the vehicle sections in the first Mafia game but DAMN do the Warthog sections come in a close second for worst driving in a game ever. Especially the last one, I nearly tore my hair out. Not a fan of the control scheme either. I beat the game in about 5 1/2 hours even with the amount of times i got lost in the empty environments. Were they going for open world but gave up halfway through? Ugh. Don’t let your nostalgia cloud your mind on this one, I can see this getting a full remake in the near future & I think it would be much better for it. 4/10, maybe a 5 if I’m feeling generous some days. Halo 2: Anniversary Edition -
    Halo 2 was the only game I never got to play from the original series since I never owned an original Xbox. I played the remastered version why wouldn’t I? The game looks STUNNING in its updated glory too, on par with some games coming out today. I love the feature they implemented for Combat Evolved & 2 that lets you switch between the OG visuals & the updated ones with the click of a button, it’s a cool little feature I wish more remasters would take on. The story is more fleshed out this time, as is the gameplay. They improved upon everything from the 1st game, the mark of a good sequel. I really enjoyed how we get to see the Covenant’s side too, it’s always fun to play as the bad guys, especially when they’re aliens! The physics still aren’t my thing but from game to game they seem to be toned down a little more. It’s been talked about to death but the ending leaves a lot to be desired, the painful part of being the middle chapter in a trilogy. If I had to wait 3 years for Halo 3 like I’m sure many of you did back then, I’d be mad too. Still, it’s a 5 hour campaign that’s a ton of fun! 8/10.

    Halo 3 -
    Both Reach & Halo 3 made up a lot of my childhood. I sunk HOURS into the multiplayer modes with my little brother over the years & I have the fondest memories of 3 more than any other, so did the nostalgia hold up over 10 years later? YUP. This is still my fave in the series. The story never stops which can be exhausting in other games, but I finished the campaign in a little over 4 hours (shocked myself on that one tbh) & it’s consistently engaging with obviously massive stakes that I can finally appreciate as an adult. Somehow they improved everything even more since Halo 2. The linearity might be an issue for some but i appreciate Bungie making these games less open over the years. The short story might be an issue, I would’ve loved to play hours more of it but if it can cause such a good reaction in me in a short amount of time, I’m glad I experienced it. I would’ve loved to see this entry get as much love the other remasters got (despite it still looking great for a game from 2007, wow I’m old) so maybe someday we’ll get a remake of this one too. 9/10!

    Halo 4 -
    So I never actually played this one, I watched my lil bro play it when it came out &.. we both hated it. Now almost 10 years have passed & I’m playing it for the first time, I definitely don’t hate it anymore. However, it’s still flawed. The visuals are still stunning to look at, despite being a late 360 title. The soundtrack stands out a lot too, but all Halo games have bangers. They did change the gameplay a bit though, Chief can run now & they seem to have played with the physics again, not for the better imo. The story is more cinematic which is both good & weird to me. Some parts just kinda made the game feel more generic, something Halo never was in my mind. Seems like 343 had a lot of big ideas but only paid off a few of them here. The enemies are more bullet spongey than in other entries, & it definitely got on my nerves. Overall, it’s not bad, I’m glad I finally experienced it first hand. Visuals & soundtrack are solid, gameplay is good with some annoying as hell parts & enemies, & the story had so much more potential even with a decent pay off. Campaign took me a lil over 5 hours. 6/10.    … Expand
