The multiplayer is still incredibly addictive and now with the level cap at 80, either 10 or 15 prestiges (im not sure) and another prestige like feature that starts you all the way over at level 1 prestige 0. makes endless hours of playtime. The weapons are ok, in my opinion none seem to stand out, the new kill streaks are good with the new support and specialist killstreaks, each with their own perks and system. Overall, yes its the same game, but its still the same good game we played back in the day, Expand

Copy, paste and repeat. MW3 is the EXACT same game structure as previous call of duty titles. I have no problem with games using things from their predecessor, but this is ridiculous. Its sad that this will be one of the highest grossing games of all-time just because of the name sake. The campaign has some bright spots, but we have done it all before in past games and clocking in at 5 hours is pathetic. I had to force myself to play through some levels because its just the SAME thing over and over. I know FPS games have a tall order with single player because by nature the core game play is repetitive, but for heaven sake PLEASE do something different with story mode. I must give this game a one because though its game play is for the most part solid (though i haven't touched on the wretched spawning in online mode) it takes a one on effort to do what i did for papers in school: copy paste Expand

Call of duty modern warfare 3 is clearly showing IW's and sledgehammers work effort. It still however is a fun addition to the franchise with a singleplayer that is constant explosions (literally) a multiplayer that constantly dangles a carrot in front of your nose begging for you to play just one more game and a surprisingly great cooperative spec ops survival and mission mode. Just don't be surprised if you see recycled titles, emblems and even buildings. As a fan of the series I was disappointed with mw3 because the game feels so recycled the next call of duty needs to bring new and fresh ideas to the franchise or this will be my last call of duty. I really liked this game, finally wrapped up the story, sure it went over the top sometimes, but that is what this game was shooting for, a Michael Bay video game. Multiplayer has several improvements over Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer. No longer are there ridiculously over powered kill streaks with no way to stop them. Also, choosing a reward for prestiging is an awesome idea. My thoughts on how they run this game and banning: It's a good game and I was 8th prestige lv 67 tearing it up in multiplayer. Until I got banned for doing the prestige token glitch. Until I got banned for doing the prestige token glitch. I know it might be considered cheating in some peoples eyes but I only used it to get my 10 custom classes wich you didn't have to buy in blackops! Back to the matter at hand: I did get banned like I was saying but I also got deranked aswell I went from almost 9th prestige down to nothing or level 1 and 0 prestige! I lost all of my titles and embels that I had ganned and I also was stuck with 0 kills but 10000 deaths! I also was stuck after I got derancked with 0 wins but 1000 losses! I think this is way to horrible as a punishment for only using this glitch to get 10 custom classes! Not unlimited xp or unlocked everything, only to get 10 custom classes! Plus, if there banning me for doing this than everybody else that did is probably about to get screwed over aswell! About 50% of the people that I have ran into playing this game have done the glitch! 50% of the people that play this game! It might not be true but that is about what I have came up with for what I have seen so far. If they want to ban "about" 50% of the people that play this game, than thats there problem. Also, all the people that I have ran into that said they did this glitch have gone way overboard than me. Notice how I'm also saying GLITCH! Not a mod or a hack! I'm not boosting! Here's the definitions of a glitch: 1.A sudden, usually temporary malfunction or irregularity of equipment: "a computer glitch". 2.An unexpected setback in a plan; a hitch, a snag.

Notice how in the second definition it sais clearly," An UNEXPECTED setback." This glitch was unexpected! It was looked over when they were making this game! It's not my fault that Infinity Ward was probably slacking off when they were creating this part and they looked over it. I took advantage of their mistake! I didn't even use it that much either! I only used it to get 10 custom classes. Not double xp or the hardened or veteran package. I also didn't unlock any gear either! I only used 5 prestige tokens. I knew that if I over did it than I would probably have a chance of getting banned by these retards! I also kept my mouth shut about it aswell. They also could have patched the glitch aswell if they are getting this worried about it but no! Just ban and derank about 50% of the game or everyone that did it! Completely just lost a customer and I hope you loose every single person that plays this game! I hope you get such a crappy rating as what MW2 got and it looks like it already happend! The good thing about Treyarch is that instead of baning people they actualy put some work into the game and patch glitches! Worry about the booster and hackers before you worry about this crap! I was playing Free-for-All about 5 days before I got banned and I caught these three booster sitting in the back of the map with their tactical insersions just killing each other! The third person was guarding the cheesy booster not letting anyone get to them except for me who killed them onse! They still aren't banned! But they ban me for doing a simple glitch that I didn't even use that much of! Get your priorities straight before you get a bad rating! OH that's right , you already got a bad rating idiots! I will play blackops (a completely better game) and not touch your game once ever again! I hope people are with me and for all the haters! You have never got banned and don't know what it feels like to loose all your work that you just tried hard to get only because you did something small! If you read this whole message than I congradulate you for doing this. I shure wouldn't read this whole thing but I felt like it needed to get out there!

This game is by far the worst game that Call of Duty has created. Infinity Ward should be ashamed by how this game came out. Game play has not changed since CoD 4 and the campaign did not live up to expectations in the slightest. In my opinion Infinity Ward should take every copy of this game to a skeeter shooting range and take a few hours to put a shotgun shell into every copy.

First of all, during my time with the game I was unbiased as possible and tried to see it from a critic's perspective.
Does the game live up to the massive hype generated when the brand name is mentioned?
Did the quality of the game cause the sales to be what they are? Disappointingly, no to both. This is simply a mediocre game that feels unfinished and rushed, and, as to avoid beating

Does the game live up to the massive hype generated when the brand name is mentioned?
Did the quality of the game cause the sales to be what they are?
    Disappointingly, no to both.
This is simply a mediocre game that feels unfinished and rushed, and, as to avoid beating around the bush, just not very fun.
I am an optimist so I will start with the good first.
-Survival! It is decent, but once you hit that wave you can never get past you realize you won't ever pass it, so it isn't fun anymore after you unlock everything.
-Leveling up! You don't go 5 minutes without increasing your weapon level or getting promoted or completing some kind of challenge.
-Customization! My classes are unique to me, and that is a great feeling.
Now for what isn't the greatest.
-Visuals. For a blockbuster title, it falls way short of expectations, especially considering the developers' nearly unlimited budget. It isn't necessarily that the graphics were sub-par (but were beginning to show their age), but that the color palate and the lighting was atrocious. I could barely see anything, even after adjusting brightness because of the monochromatic nature of the included maps. Every map has the exact same "ruined city" theme, and they all seem far to similar to get a new experience all the time. That leads me into the next topic, maps.
-Maps. I have never played a game where the maps were this poorly made and dull since 2003. Not only are they too cramped for sniping, if that's your niche, they are also far too large for many CQB encounters, making shotguns and sniper rifles completely useless. Every building has a similar design to the next, and lack of effort is apparent. Each CoD had its own Nuketown, a community favorite map of some sort. Modern Warfare 3 lacks even that. Arkaden in particular was utterly terrible.
-Campaign. Other games do it better. The AI is dumb as bricks and aren't any sort of fun to fight. The only redeeming feature of the campaign may be its length, but I didn't even feel the will to play it to the end because it just wasn't fun.
-Sound. I have NEVER gotten a headache or gotten frustrated with sound in a game before, and to make matters worse, it was all directly imported from Modern Warfare 2 or was a generic noise only slightly tweaked. Sound effects were weak in general, and the guns all sounded like toys. Explosions were like firecrackers, which is even worse for a noise you will hear 24/7 in this game. -Recycled. At least I give credit to Treyarch for doing something different with their switch from World at War to Black Ops, giving the two games a different feel while the 3rd installment in the Modern Warfare series feels too much like the second, especially in multiplayer which is ridiculously broken.
-Multiplayer. The weapon leveling system is pretty nice, but besides that it gives me deja vu of the days of MW2. Heck, sometimes people weren't sure which one I was playing! The mechanics of multiplayer are simple and the same as always, not really any notable new gametypes. As if it couldn't get any less of a downer than that, the spawning system is atrocious, and don't even get me started on weapon balance. I have a 5.7 K/D, and that was because I found I could exploit the weapon unbalances to the extreme to get that insane ratio, not because I am a good player. If you owned MW2 and loved it, never got bored of it I'd wait another month or so until the huge price drop then you will probably enjoy it. If you are new to CoD, I would stay away as it isn't worth the money right now.
If you make your purchases only after a ton of research and are 100% sure you think it will be worth it, then it is in your best interest to avoid this altogether.
This game felt like a low-budget project, and the lack of effort from the dev team was obvious. Overall, 5.1 out of 10.

Campaign - About 5 hours long, but very exciting in every measure. There were some shocking moments in this campaign and it may be the best in the Modern Warfare series. The game takes place right after Modern Warfare 2 and it's a great conclusion to the trilogy. It's World War 3 and the job is to take out Makarov. 100/100(A+)

Graphics - Not one of the best first person shooter graphics I have seen, but it's still good to look at. The environments and character detail is good and I don't see a reason for a new graphics engine as of yet. It has the best graphics in the Call of Duty series. The graphics still could have been better and I don't see much difference compared to MW2's graphics. I felt that the developers came off kind of lazy. 90/100(A-)

Gameplay - AI is smart and dumb at times which is alright for catastrophe like World War 3, but playing on Hardened or Veteran difficulty is no joke. The game runs smoothly at 60 frames per second and it couldn't be any smoother. You have 4 modes to play within the game. There's Survival Mode which is in the Special Ops mode, Special Ops missions, Campaign and Multiplayer. The games has enough content to keep you going. 100/100(A+)

Multiplayer - The best multiplayer experience ever. It's good if your a team-oriented player or even a loner. It's for everyone because there's 3 different strike packages and one might be best for you. The perks are better, killstreaks are better and the gun selection is better. There's even theater mode to capture you match and you can upload 30 second clips to Facebook. I don't see why YouTube wasn't an option. I just wish there weren't so many modders and glitchers. I definitely wish there weren't so much campers. 90/100(A-)

Playing Time/Content: There's probably not a week that will go by when I won't play this game. Even if I have a really bad match with a very horrible score, I would still play again until I'm done prestiging. You have 4 modes to play within the game. To the people who think this is Modern Warfare 2.5 or the same thing over again, it's not. I bet the people complaining about it will still play it or be interested in it. It's part of a series, it's not suppose to change much.

After 2 days worth of gaming in the MP I can honestly say I don't know why I buy these games yearly, it's clear to me

For me, this has been the most disappointing of the series, and I couldn't wait to take the game back, Hopefully The developers will listen to the community and bring us a new package! My rating is based on a combination of the campaign and the multiplayer. CAMPAIGN: 4.5/5
The campaign is absolutely beautiful. Some graphic problems are present and that is essentially why it doesn't get a perfect score. The story is an excellent continuation of Price's story, and the missions are exciting and gripping. I played through on veteran difficulty and it was extremely challenging and felt realistic and accurate. There is very little I would change about this game up to this point.

    MULTIPLAYER: 2.5/5
Okay, this is where problems begin. Firstly, for Xbox 360 users paying for ELITE for me is just a money grabbing ploy. The map packs in Black Ops were ridiculously priced for the amount of content, and this is even worse. Considering we will be seeing Treyarch's newest addition within the next 6-8 months, this is not a prudent investment for me. Secondly, the game mechanics are unbelievably absurd; hardcore players will find their rockets and grenades useless against Ballistic vests; Shotguns can kill at greater than 30 meters; No recoil on high-level SMG's. Essentially, the multiplayer does not play to people who use strategy, it plays to random chaos. Kill confirmed is a nice addition, but the ricochet system results in your death for other people's stupidity. The hardcore system in Black Ops was much fairer as team-killing resulted in getting kicked after 2 offences. Once you drop a martyrdom grenade and your teammate runs over it you will know what I mean.

Overall, good to average. Brilliant campaign, bad multiplayer. That's it.

The multiplayer is also fun and goes back to some classic cod roots while still keeping the balancing that was put back in place in blops. A good shooter but nothing too special.

The one thing that pulls millions of people to MW3 is the multiplayer. Yes, it is innovative for the most part when considering the killstreaks, game modes, and small things here and there to keep that "Call of Duty multiplayer" pace going, but it's nothing new. When being developed it kept a "if it ain't broke don't fix it" idea to the max. If you wanted to be completely critical you can say it's simply Modern Warfare 2 with a fresh coat of paint on it. Fixing the small things here and there from the MW2 game, and chainging a few killstreaks doesn't make it entirely something new to embrace and delve into. All in all, it's a fair game for awhile but then it loses it's fun.

Survival mode is fun but would have been even more awesome if 4 people could play at the same time. The spec ops mission are loads of fun with a friend on veteran. Now lets talk about the multiplayer the true reason for why you bought this game, if you bought this game for the story then sorry but you're a **** idiot. The multiplayer started out really rough for me personally. I got this game on the launch date and expected to be one of the better players, that was not the case. It's funny how people will say that this is a copy paste game but when I, a veteran of the call of duty series started playing online i was overwhelmed by the architecture of the new maps and felt really vulnerable when killstreaks started raining fire down on me and my team-mates. This was before anybody was using blind eye and shooting down the buggers (now alot of people are battleing for the right to take them down). Anyway i started playing barebones to get familiar with the game and cursed the developers for having such overpowered stuff in the support class like the stealth bomber and emp. After a while though i got bored by barebones and decided to give other playlists a change, i was pleasantly surprised when i saw that my team-mates were actually playing the game instead of corner camping and generally acting a fool. So the multiplayer while not that appealing at first hooked me like all of the previous COD games had managed to do. I still dont like some of the multiplayer decisions they made like the strangely unbalanced and cheap supporting class which sounded like a great idea on paper and the incredibly long time that they have needed to get the true elite system in place like the clan challenges that were still not implemented 5 months after release(disgraceful) and here's a thing that really bothered me, when black ops came out the servers were overloaded they said that they had not exptected such activity, now i found this quite strange seeing how the last game in the series was modern warfare 2 and that game sold like hot cakes but i forgave and thought to myself maybe they thought that because it was a new ip in the COD canon but told myself that they would not be moronic enough to make the same excact mistake twice, enter sledgehammer and they pulled the excact same blunder on release, they appoligized and again said that they did not expect so many players and thats when i got a little angry. I know as well as them what license they are working on, black ops broke world records in sale and im not just tallking about in the video game industry im talking about the entertainment industry (movies, music and video games). They did alot of things that pissed me off but for most of the mistakes they did they made up for them and tried to get feedback from the MW3 community on how to better the game. MW3 is sledgehammer games first game and was made in co-operation with the remaining staff of Infinity Ward so please dont call it an Infinity Ward game because it isn't. That beeing said i actually like alot of decisions they made with this one. Specialist killstreaks were a nice addition, weapon levels was a good idea and proficiency also good, i actually dont mind the moab since it rarely happens in a match im playing in, having shotguns as primary weapons again was good the perks were really hit and miss and once again sleight of hand becomes one of the more overpowered perks in the game franchise.

They did not seem active enough in letting fans know when certain features were coming on the elite but this is one of the problems of having to release a new call of duty game every year and thats what fans are pissed about i guess, they dont want games to be released buggy or incomplete and then patched later and i feel like that is a problem that really needs to be adressed within activision, i dont think smart fans mind the wait at all.

Story: Modern Warfare 3 has a jumbled story but it gets better towards the end. You play as different soldiers who go on a large romp around the world to stop Vladmir Makarov. I won't give away anything else.

Graphics: They are a step up from previous games but it still feels out of place when you see an American soldier T-bagging a camper in multiplayer.

Gameplay: My favorite part of the Modern Warfare series returns. Qwikscoping still feels good and the pleasure of using an ACR to make people rage returns.

Multiplayer Online: My other favorite part of the series. It is very fun but tends to make you rage really hard when you get sniped when you need that one last kill for an AGM...
    *True Story*

Summary: A great overall game despite the lack of innovation. Infinity ward pulls a fair sequel to Modern Warfare 2 out of the box very nicely in my opinion.

Easily as good as the 2nd modern warfare game but with the addition of survival mode, and a far more accessible and broad multiplayer. Slight graphics upgrades and slightly more interactive storytelling.

I give this game a 10 largely because it is the only shooter which has entertained me enough to play through the campaign more than once, and in terms of survival and multiplayer I clocked more hours on this game than any other on the 360 generation (splitscreen survival is great fun with a friend beside you) I feel like that is as good a reason as any for a top review but even if you don't feel it is worth that just ignore the ridiculously low scores and play this game it is well worth your time.

The game offers nearly nothing new to the series apart from a campaign with different missions with the same run here and shoot him tactics. Multiplayer is... Well play MW2 or MW and you know absolutely everything you need to know. Only thing that kept me playing were some interesting action scenes that occurred.

-The singleplayer guns are crooked and unbalanced in the campaign, as always.

-It is the same game! Why do people by this garbage! Play Black Ops, or MW2, or the best one - CoD 4, you wanna why? Because they're nearly the same team!

Campaign is short, but well paced, reasonably fun, but not especially compelling or thought provoking, the issue being that the majority of the campaigns most impressive moments are essentially first person cut-scenes. The combat is solid, but has lost its edge, where call of duty was the example of flawless first person shooter mechanics, it now feels clunky and awkward, while 60 frames per second keeps everything on screen smooth, your movement as a player is not. Crouching, running and vaulting over obstacles feels clunky and slow, and weapons have an unnatural accuracy and lack of recoil that just doesn't feel right. Graphically the game also falls short, while the various studios that produce the game clearly put a lot of detail into many of the levels and character models, the games low muddy looking textures aren't worthy of the these efforts. Lighting also fails to impress, being almost entirely baked into the textures, with little to no dynamic lighting, with the only change in light being the shadows on your weapon. Weapons also look peculiar, a step back from previous titles, the guns are all held at strange angles, and are oddly proportioned. Survival mode is worth you time, but if you have ever played a call of duty game before, then multiplayer is useless. Only buy this game if you have to. Expand

I purchased 3 of the elite versions because 2 of my sons and I used to like playing multiplayer with each other. It's good for running and gunning but that gets boring on these maps. I also think that Activision's money grab is going to force future releases to require external activation like the elite to bypass XBOX Live. That was a complete disaster and ruined my experience. It was a real hardship to register and I couldn't for a month. What did Activision do? Give an extra 30 days, no consideration for the grief of their customers. MW3 does absolutely nothing to the FPS genre. Like what saltychipmunk said, sequels mean innovation. As far as innovation goes, this game is the pits. In fact, it is pretty much the same as MW2, (since I played it with a few buddies once), just with new guns and maps and perks. It would've been fine as DLC, but as a full-retail game, not so much.

The campaign is still lacking in many regards though. Enemy respawn is still a nuisance to the point where I saw enemies literally popping out of thin air if looking the right way. Throw in the occasional glitch and the game offers up some truly frustrating sequences. Not to mention that the campaign still doesn't crack the 8 hour mark, even on hardened, and Activision proves once again they are full of garbage when they say they focus on both campaign and multiplayer. On a side note, when confronted with rumors about pulling on people from other Activision development teams outside of Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward to finish the game on time and continue their "once a year" release schedule, they denied it all the way through and then in the credits, you see thanks to people from Neversoft, Raven, and Treyarch. After Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer was where the Call of Duty series was at. Following past Call of Duty titles, Modern Warfare 3 seems to try to push everything from the singleplayer campaign to the multiplayer in the form of killstreaks, which are as crazy as ever. The multiplayer mode was addictive and I found myself enjoying new modes like Kill Confirmed, but being a PC Battlefield player I found the fact that you don't know where the enemy is half the time and the constant sprinting annoying (I've never not known where the enemy is or needed to sprint for really long distances that much in Battlefield 3 on the PC). However, the multiplayer was a step up from Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops, though it failed to improve on Call of Duty 4 chiefly because of all the gimmicks that as well as being useless were sometimes discouraging. Whenever I got a deathstreak I always thought 'I must be going badly', and I started dying even more.
So to sum it all up, Modern Warfare 3 is worth a bit of your time, but if you have a decent PC then I'd go with Battlefield 3.

No flanking, no tactic, just rushing through endless enemy-waves, what constantly gets interrupted by the usual badass slow-mos. You have a hard time following the plot, but when you do, it's just a unreasonable story that could have been written by a class of 11-year olds. The kind of audience, that is obviously trying to be attracted here.
Multiplayer is very demotivating, because you feel just like prestige-ing in MW2. Most weapons, callsigns, killstreaks are in the same order, with the same way of achieving them. Maps as well as the weapons all "feel" the same. They seem to have tried too hard to balance everything, that now there is nothing special about either of them.
Spec-Ops is the best out of every playable mode, but that really isn't such a big compliment. It's fun to play, but once you are through, you are done with it. Survival-mode is unfair and complete randomly added.

The gameplay online is completely ruined in every, and we all have our reasons to justify this. However, the campaign is still good and spec ops/survival is still better than what Battlefield 3 has to offer. My biggest problem with spec ops and survival isn't the fact that they are exact copies of the campaign missions and survival is effectively combat training on multiplayer maps, but that you can't compete on the leaderboards for survival and spec ops missions if you don't have Xbox LIVE Gold. If you can find it for a decent price I would recommend it since it doesn't have online achievements so like the other CoD games it's an easy 1000G in the bank and the achievements are well designed. Because I can't credit the multiplayer, I can only recommend this based off campaign and spec ops. Obviously it's got nothing on CoD4 but in my opinion the campaign is on par if not better than Modern Warfare 2's, purely because it plays slightly more like Call of Duty 4 and is a bit more varied and has a better story. It also concludes the trilogy whereas MW2, while it was good, felt more like a filler. It is short and easy, but not astronomically aweful like the multiplayer. Since spec ops and survival aren't anything special either (but they are still decent) MW3 isn't very good value for money. So overall, bearing in mind that it's a sequel to one of the most critically acclaimed games and Sledgehammer/Infinity Ward only had a year to develop it; on balance it comes out as a 5 out of 10. However, it is perfectly acceptable to rate this game much lower based on expectations and its multiplayer. Certainly the graphics are not improved, but this is mainly due to the low resolution required to maintain 60 frames per second. I didn't buy this game on release and after reading reviews and watching gameplay I knew what to expect. I'm really struggling to give this game a 5 out of 10 because there has been so little creativity in virtually all areas, but if I ignore the title it's what I believe the game deserves on its own merits. My problem doesn't lie with the quality of the game, it lies with the price tag. This should have been sold as an expansion, or a DLC to MW2 for 30 bucks.***
A month down the road, we'll have frigging map packs that they'll have the audacity to charge 15 dollars for. Having previously been a PC gamer, the thought of paying anything for a map is off-putting, but 15 dollars is retarded.***
THIS IS NOT A NEW GAME!!!!!***
There is no way that this game deserves the glowing accolades it has received from the professional critics. Maybe they simply don't take cost into account, or are completely ok with buying the same game every year.***
I saw somewhere that this is being compared to the big sports game franchises...which I also refuse to waste my money on. Oh, the same game with slightly better graphics, and a new roster? No f'in thanks.

Well I am not a hardcore gamer.I haven't played previous COD releases, but I find this game really great. Its one hell of incredible shooter. If you are like me and dont consider your self some kind of a game guru and just want to have some great time,I really recommend it. I get an impression that people hate this game simply because it has a big following and critics like it. This game definetaly deserved more praise then it got, just because it didn't redefine the generation, didn't make it a zero. Solid gameplay mechanics, and a incredible campaign will keep you pushing to the end. The multiplayer is nothing really new, but it has great hit detection, and fast paced maps with new ones coming out all the time. Only a moron would rate this game a zero. The Modern Warfare series has finally wrapped up. So how good is the last installment. Well if you've played the previous Modern Warfare you'll have an exact picture of what the new one is like. Nothing much if not anything at all has changed in this game. The story is uninteresting and the spec ops mode still didn't meet its potential. Th. The story is uninteresting and the spec ops mode still didn't meet its potential. Th. Infinity Ward has added a new feature called survival mode. This is where I give them credit. Survival mode is addictive and fun but at times it seems impossible. All though Firefight and Horde mode from the Halo and Gears franchise are still much better survival mode is still a great game mode. The multiplayer is where Modern Warfare 3 shines. But the multiplayer doesn't shine at all. Like all other parts of the game the multiplayer is still "been there, done that". Same guns and same layout nothing new there. Overall I'll give the game a 5/10 because back in the day this would be considered an expansion pack. Expand

Ultimately, Modern Warfare 3 feels similar to it's brethren, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great game. The single player element is still exciting, and multiplayer has more options than ever – if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is a no brainer.

Modern Warfare 3, while still an excellent thrill ride in its own right, feels far too similar to MW2 or even Black Ops for my taste.
  3. I never expected Modern Warfare 3 to go toe-to-toe with EA's juggernaut this year, but it came out of the gates with a tour de force campaign and co-op mode. It loses points with a perhaps too-familiar multiplayer that caters to the juvenile on Xbox Live; though don't be mistaken, Modern Warfare 3 is one hell of a shooter and a highlight for a series that just won't die – no matter how much we wish it bloody would, at times.
