    This game took what breath of the wild did well and somehow made a game that was even better. I’ve never played an open world game that makes me want to explore ever nook and cranny quite like this. If you’re a gamer that actually wants to just play a fun game rather then shaking your head at everything that you deem unworthy, then this is 100% it.     Wonderful game, truly recommended, the crafting new mechanic add so much content. If his predecesor give us hundreds of hours of fun this one will give us even more, also like that is harder than BOTW. Definitely a strong competitor for GOTY this year!

    Sequel to the greatest game of all time. Not very far but the world feels very different and I love all the new mechanics. Minor visual issues mostly at fault of the switch.

    Desde que tengo 15 he jugado Zelda y de verdad que de todos los que he jugado este juego me ha llenado de tanta alegrías con su inmenso mapa, grandes y nuevas cosas por descubrir. Es un juego totalmente recomendable para aquellos que aman juegos de mundo abierto.

    Zelda è Zelda. Musica bellissima, ambientazioni favolose, gioco gigante. Solo la frustrazione di pochi detrattori può portare a offendere un lavoro del genere. Come alcune recensioni fatte senza finirlo e altre senza nemmeno giocarci.

    Tears of the kingdom is grand in scale, as I'm sure many have pointed out the vast sky islands and great depths add so much to the game in scale. This game is a massive improvement over breath of the wild, which for the longest time its flaws went unnoticed. But now, with the release of tears of the kingdom it is clear where BOTW lacked and where ToTK soared. I only have nitpicks of thisTears of the kingdom is grand in scale, as I'm sure many have pointed out the vast sky islands and great depths add so much to the game in scale.     Amazing game. Best of skyward sword and botw in one game. The beginning part is more challenging than botw, but it’s a lot more awarding. Dungeons are great, however not as good as others in the franchise, but the shrines make up for it

    Nintendo has just released their Magnum Opus with this beautiful game. BOTW was close to perfect, but the Zelda team nailed it with this gem. Anyone saying this game is less than an 8 should be real about it. I’ve been playing games for a real long time. I’ve played quite a few in that time. It don’t get much better than this.     The best open world game, new tools, powers and mechanics to have fun and be creative, this is what a sandbox game looks like. My favorite aspect of the game is the amount of story/cutscenes we get this time in comparison with BOTW.

    A fantastic sequel. I typically don’t like sequels but I bought this because I was sick and in bed the past few days. A lot of fun! It shows you that a video game is so much more than like how powerful picture perfect your graphics are or if you’ve incorporated ray tracing. It’s a beautiful vast game and I love playing on the Switch so much more than my xbox x. The switch needs more of theA fantastic sequel.     What they give you in BoTW they still give you in ToTK but even better. If you like BoTW I'm sure you will enjoy this game too. Nintendo really outdone their job one again. Game of the many years right here.

    With the desire of not spoiling the experience for anyone, traveling throughout the land of Hyrule I had grown to love in BotW was a magical experience; the newness of the additional areas had me grinning ear-to-ear.

    You PLAY IN THIS GAME.Every game mechanic has depth you can play with everything,story is epic,music is magnificent and every detail is thoroughly crafted by the game devs as if they predicted you would be there and would use that specific ability,I don't thinl i'll ever experience something like this in a long time,first time in my life I played a game completely open mouthed for 5 mins straight.

    THIS GAME IS FANTASTIC!!! I’m honestly disappointed in some of these reviews, this game is so vast I’ve barely scratched the surface it feels with about 15 hours! I love exploring with building cars, planes, boats, and whatever dumb things I come up with. There are THREE whole layers to the map, and with NO LOADING SCREEN it’s feels fresh and new while exploring hyrule once more. The storyTHIS GAME IS FANTASTIC!!! The story feels full of mystery that keeps you going to find out what happened, the music feels tense or wild at the right moments. I will admit some bosses are kind of easy, it you really want a challenge, face the underground enemies which provides a tough challenge. I don’t think I could get tired of the games, if I start to feel bored? Don’t worry I can do lots of quests and challenges or maybe I want to build some funny monstrosity, YOU CAN DO THAT IN THIS GAME! I don’t regret the $70 price tag AT ALL. It’s not a $70 dlc, you can’t change my mind. There is a ton of new content and story that captivates you and keeps you playing. Nintendo outdid themselves and I’m excited for new titles of the future. THIS HAS TO BE GAME OF THE YEAR, no, GAME OF THE DECADE! 11/10 fantastic! :)
    P.S. I super disappointed in those who gave terrible reviews, half them are crying about their 50 hour, tedious dungeons not being there, and the others think it’s a dlc because of reused assets. Some people are also complaining about frame drops or no 4k which is dumb, the game looks really good (especially on oled switch), you can expect frame drops on the first couple months of release. THERE IS A REASON FOR UPDATES! Just keep that in mind and enjoy this game to the fullest! :)    … Expand

    This game is truly phenomenal... the only reason I haven't rated it a 10 is because u haven't beaten it yet but I just wanted to put a quick review out there. I think the game is super fun with new innovative mechanics that fix some of the shortcomings of botw (not all but most) the story is alright so far, nothing crazy or as good as other zelda games. Now the other 5 percent is completely valid, some people just don't like the new botw gameplay and story telling, completely fair. Impressively, the developers has managed to make Hyrule unfamiliar and expand it to stupefying heights. This game is sooooooo huge!!!     About 30-40 hours of playtime, It was my best game i ever experience last decade. This game don’t let you follow the path. Playtime will be 100% on you. For who don’t like to hang around without any purpose, go follow the quests. For who likes to hang around, go ahead. It’s your own world. Do whatever you want. But still, it worth playing

    The sequel of one of the best games ever made not only matches the level of its predecessor but surpasses it. There is no reason to pass on this experience. Despite the reused assets and models this game is definitely not “dlc”. I never understood that argument anyways, isn’t dlc of one of the best games ever made good? Just play the game.

    Im 30 hours in, and this game has more content than any other game I have played since since Elden Ring. Sure it runs 30 fps and its a switch title. And with that I can still gladly say its my personal game of the year that I will happily sink hundreds of hours into and beat many times.     Wonderful game! They took BotW and somehow improved every aspect of it. It's the "same" map, but simultaneously every area feels fresh and new. I really don't know how they managed it.

    Increíble cada detalle de este juego, cada parte que recorres esta llena de cosas con la que puedes interactuar. Llevo 8 horas jugando y a válido cada minuto porque es increíble todo lo que puedes hacer mientras caminas por el mundo que ademas es gigante, las mazmorras son algo muy ingenioso porque no te enseña que hay que hacer y tú solo tienes que adivinar cómo completarlo que le da esaIncreíble cada detalle de este juego, cada parte que recorres esta llena de cosas con la que puedes interactuar. Llevo 8 horas jugando y a válido cada minuto porque es increíble todo lo que puedes hacer mientras caminas por el mundo que ademas es gigante, las mazmorras son algo muy ingenioso porque no te enseña que hay que hacer y tú solo tienes que adivinar cómo completarlo que le da esa pizca de dificultad que me encanta en los juegos.     Este juego es genial! Me ha encantado su historia, como exploran más el lore, e incluso wn pesa menos que el BOTW y mientras que el mapa es como... ¿El doble de grande? Lo único malo son los 70€ que cuestan, lo que es un poquito de mucho caro. Pero de todas formas yo lo emulé xd

    Essendo un grande fan della saga lo amato molto.
    L'aspetto delle caverne più grandi è davvero stata una decisione molto interessante che sinceramente mi è piaciuta molto.

    I thought nothing can top botw but just wow… the gameplay is fantastic and it’s just a wonder how a device like switch can handle such a huge open world game. After 20 hours of playing the game I am gonna say, the next 300 hours of my life are gonna be so zelda epic

A world in the sky. That's a quarter of the size of ground level. And a Underworld that's just as big as the surface level. Amazing dungeons and boss fights.     I don't understand the negative reviews, the game is quiet litterally perfect. If you think its a DLC, you clearly havent played the game. The 30fps aren't a problem and the artstyle makes up to the graphics. People that give this game less than an 8 are delusional. Possibly the best sequel ever made. 10/10

    A cornerstone of game design unfortunately held back by the Switch's hardware. The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom does gameplay beautifully. Mechanics have been deepened from Breath of the Wild replacing Links situational Sheikah runes with much more versatile alternatives    TL/DR: games good. Mechanics have been deepened from Breath of the Wild replacing Links situational Sheikah runes with much more versatile alternatives allowing for greater use of the environment and objects you would've overlooked as an obstacle in BOTW. TOTK also adds things you can't believe weren't in it's predecessor like being able to throw any item for a myriad of effects none of which are unviable or redundant. This rings especially true when paired with the new devices allowing you to create whatever contraption you want with your toolset. To signify the depth of this within a day of release players were already crucifying koroks and carpet bombing the fields of Hyrule and posting the clips on TikTok.

    Another thing I particularly noticed and enjoyed was the lack of a intended path set out by the game in shrine puzzles and exploration. Imagine BOTW as a Lego set and TOTK as a big box of random Lego pieces. The Shrines in BOTW have an intended sequence of instructions set out by Nintendo whereas this was not a problem for me in TOTK as it gives you a set of tools and lets you figure it out yourself and the feeling of being allowed this level of autonomy keeps the open world and shrines from ever feeling repetitive or like a chore to complete.

    TOTK also adds an in my opinion much needed shift in vibe and atmosphere from BOTW which was too light and friendly to fit the narrative and the state of the world. This difference may be best exemplified in a spoiler free way by comparing the music played when you complete a shrine although finding them may prove difficult. Compared to BOTW TOTK feels like a world in peril.

    Personally I cannot yet comment on the complete story given I haven't done more than the first few introductory and establishing quests; I got enraptured by the world as soon as it was opened to me. What I have seen was subversive and well written as someone who's played most of the previous Legend of Zelda games. One thing in particular annihilated any preconceptions I had.

    Onto the negatives there's the obvious limits set by the Switch's hardware that are very apparent in the modern gaming landscape. The draw distance for landscape details in one of TOTK new maps can be egregious leading to pop in that takes you out of the immersion. Frame rates usually hover around ~30fps with short frame drops while moving very large objects of fighting a crowd of monsters which may be hard to adjust to for someone who's used to playing on 60 or above. I've been gaming mainly on a gaming PC for a while now and when I first loaded up the game it felt like a slideshow, almost like I could count the time between frames but in the first half hour or so my eyes adjusted and this stopped being a problem for me. It may not be a problem at all if you're someone who games primarily on an 8th gen console. Textures can also be a bit ugly in cases which is mitigated by the cell shaded artstyle. It's apparent that the dev team did what they could with the aging tablet-console but it does harm the experience for me which is what's dropped my review score. Your usage of the new devices is also heavily limited early on capping the feeling of autonomy I praised the game for earlier in this review. You can upgrade your "battery capacity" while you progress but it is an arduous and lengthy process to do so.

    The fusion magic rune thing is spectacular. Haven't had this level of variation and adaptability ever god knows how Nintendo pulled it off every item you find, weapon you pick up, feature of the landscape even can be utilized. Need to smash down rubble blocking your path? Slap a boulder onto the end of a stick you found and annihilate that wall. Need to cross a river or lake? Slap a 4x4 on your greatsword and create gusts of wind. Your greatswords blade is damaged? Replace it with the horn of a **** lynel or even a lightning hydra if you feel like it. Need to reach a higher place? Rocket shield. Shield surf further? Rocket shield. It's obscene. Uncouth even and in the best ways imaginable.    … Expand

    This game has so many contents to offer and discover. It preforms decently enough and feels very polished. It doesn't even feel like you're playing Breath of The Wild anymore. Highly recommend to those who enjoyed Breath of The Wild and the Legend of Zelda series as a whole.

Dungeons, more music, new grand environments to explore, we can even take to the skies and depths. Speaking of depth, there's so much more use to majority of the materials this time too.     TOTK is even better than its predecessor. The only reason it did not get a 10 is because we live in a world of next generation systems that have games with no load times. Nintendo would have been smart to roll out this game along with a faster updated Switch.

    This game is so much better than many people would think. You hear the stories about how good it is, and even I was thinking it would be only similar to breath of the wild. As you continue, it just gets better throughout the entire game. This is a game that you truly cannot make a judgment on until you play it yourself.

    Amazing game. Don’t listen to the low scores from the jealous virgin losers who have nothing better to do than review bomb a great game. I would highly recommend this game to everyone. Definitely worth the $70 price tag.

    I have played the game for a little over 10 hours, and I am loving it! It took everything that made BotW great, and built on top of it. With what little I have played of the game, I can already tell there is SOOO much to do and a ton of content. It is definitely not just a "DLC" to BotW. Despite some performance problems, the gameplay is still very smooth. All in all, it is better than BotW so far, and that is a high bar. Definitely worth the $70!… Expand

    I can't believe the Switch can run such a game like this while looking beautiful! The only flaw I have isn't even with the gameplay, it's just the Soundtrack. I would love to hear more arrangements and remixes of songs from past Zelda games. Would definitely recommend for people who love's Open World games and for all the Nintendo/TLOZ Fans!!
