    I love Botw it is rn at least my 2nd most favorite Game of all Time. I was often thinking how Nintendo gonna make a even better Zelda when Zelda Botw seems perfect. I still have a lot of work to do. But let me tell you after playing many hours. It is completely the price and the time worth. It changes lot of problems in Botw. One small example is the Monsters Items. In Botw most of it where. pretty useless. But in Totk you can now glue your own weapons together. And the Monsters drop often pretty strong Items which are useful to create very strong weapons. I can at least say this gives you way much more motivation to kill the bosses. And dont be scared if the first hours of the games dont really appeal to you. When I started the Game I wasnt rly sure if it will even be honorable next to Botw. But no Bote is the small thing here. Totk gives you just way more. And very important: Please go blind into the game without spoilers. This will enhance your play-through because you'll get to see much much more surprises, because you dont expect it.    … Expand

The Dungeons levels design also are marvelous. Being a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild, it kept most of its creatures: monsters and animals, as well as repeating some of its melodies during exploration (on horseback is where it becomes most noticeable), however the newly incorporated songs of its masterful soundtrack and well-crafted level boss fights make it a total triumph.     10/10 imo most fun I had playing any game. The I am 125 hours in and I spent most tome exploring instead of following the main story.

    Tears of the Kingdom is the type game where you feel sad knowing that you will never get to play it again for the 1st time again. If you never “beat” the main storyline of this game, you would still have hundreds of hours of play time. The creativity that it allows in solving puzzles is incredible. So many scenarios where I said “I know I didn’t solve it the way they intended”. It’s aTears of the Kingdom is the type game where you feel sad knowing that you will never get to play it again for the 1st time again.     Creo que es el mejor Zelda que he jugado.
    Tiene muchísimo contenido y exelente jugabilidad
    La historia no es la mejor que se halla visto en la serie pero sigue siendo muy buena.

    My hope, even if it introduces some linearity again, is a more direct story next time, cause I wanna feel more involved than passive, I get that can be a pain for some, but I enjoy that story narratively driving me further (not like it stops you from B-Lining the final boss or ignoring it all, I just want more 'in the moment' story with Links involvement but thats a desire for the future, not a hindrance for TotK)

I think botw is better game overall but the ending is fantastic in this game(Not the demon dragon).Zonai devices are really well entagrated but zonai charges are hard to get.Phantom ganon is boring in chase but at the end with sages it is great too.Dungeons are better than botw but sage abilities and normal abilities are worse… Expand

    It was a great time to play this wonderful game. The sky and underground are a nice innovation. It was all the more astonishing at the big open world that the game didn't lag.

And it gets more noticeable when you play another game immediately after TOTK. I see trees loading and unloading into 2D sprites a lot, water not rendering properly from afar, and a lot of other stuff. Even though I thought this game was definitely worth my money after playing BOTW, it's pretty reasonable if you think otherwise.    … Expand

    This game brings me inner peace and a sense of calmness. It’s honestly therapeutic. The fact that you can have so much enjoyment from just exploring and gathering resources without ever feeling rushed to finish the story. But when you do get around to completing main quest lines, oh boy do they deliver on some intense backstory.     No other games even comes close to comparing. There's so much to do in this world around every corner and the mechanics are mind-blowing. The more you use them the more crazy uses you find and it's just fun to sit there and expirement. This is the greatest game of all time.

    It's harder than BotW, powers are made more or less for traveling vertical through the sky than they were horizontal through lakes/rivers like BotW, and now instead of picking up a new weapon you have to pick up monster parts & upgrade broken weapons with said parts because every weapon has been basically ruined by this thing called 'gloom' which also debuffs your HP unless you eat aIt's harder than BotW, powers are made more or less for traveling vertical through the sky than they were horizontal through lakes/rivers like BotW, and now instead of picking up a new weapon you have to pick up monster parts & upgrade broken weapons with said parts because every weapon has been basically ruined by this thing called 'gloom' which also debuffs your HP unless you eat a sundelion or have a strong light source nearby.

    Honestly, I think the way BotW was set up is better than TotK, tho. TotK really feels more like they just throwing a newborn in the woods while BotW they waited for you to become a toddler first. TotK likes to bombard you with new quests & take you away from exploring areas & if you don't do said quests you will be punished for it. BotW, quests were really optional & didn't require actually doing them at all. If you don't do quests in TotK you will not be able to even buy basic armor or upgrade said armor at fairy fountains. Heck, you can't even unlock fairy fountains without doing several quests before hand & trying to find those quests in such a large open world is a trial in of itself.

    Everything else is pretty much the same, except now there's shrines in the sky and underground. Also, there's now sky areas & underground areas. Caves have also been added & there's so many caves in the game, there's even caves in the sky islands there's so many. I think the devs might've gone cave crazy cause they put so many caves in the game, probably more caves than shrines.

    So yea, basically it's BotW again, but now there's way more in the world than there was before. More to explore, at least. Other than that, it's literally just BotW 2.0. They even reuse the same armors as the first game, but good luck finding them or trying to buy them from a shop. If you haven't played BotW, I'd highly suggest playing that game first, not because of the story but because it's easier & will help you adjust to TotK that much quicker. If you haven't played BotW, the game treats it like you haven't ever played it, which kinda sucks actually. Most NPC's you've met in the previous game don't recognize you except for the big mainstays like Impa, Paya & Robbie along with the Zora's who knew Link 100 years ago. People you've helped in BotW will still be in TotK, but they won't know who the heck you are. I guess 5 years later is a long time, but you'd think more people would recognize the guy who literally stopped the calamity almost single handed.    … Expand

    Yes, indeed the hype is real. This is one of the best games of all time. If you like action adventures, you should play this regardless if you are familiar with the Zelda series or not.

    Improves upon BotW in a variety of ways and has a simply staggering amount of content, the majority of which is very high quality. The story is also a bit of an improvement, though nothing groundbreaking. The new vehicle building mechanics are a great highlight. I do think there could've been a bit less reused music. It's the best Zelda game, and of course well worth playing.

    The FPS and resolution dips are too much for me. BotW, even with its occasional dips, wasn't having as much performance issues as TotK. I know that even when it was released, in 2017, the Switch's hardware was already quite outdated, but I feel like more optimization patches will be able to solve those dips. Either way, the Switch 2 is really more than welcome right now

    Ho tolto un punto solo per i cali di FPS, ma bisogna dire che far girare un gioco del genere su un scaldabagno come la Switch ce ne vuole parecchio! Un punto in meno solo per ricordare a Nintendo che forse è il caso di smettere di dire che la Switch è a metà del suo ciclo vitale. Nintendo, forse è il caso di fare una "Switch 2"!     This game is the perfect example of adventure and entertainment. Every Zelda game is a great game, but this one (+ Breath of the Wild) has probably the real and true spirit of this lovely saga.

    The story is more epic than ever, and the main characters are more complex and intense than BOtW.

    If you love videogames, nature, friendship and adventure, this is your game.

    Awesome open world. Every 10 minutes I encounter something new to do in the open world. Every single time I am travelling to a pinned location I end up very far away doing some other side quest or just doing dumb stuff with Ultrahand and the abilities I have. It is amazing the scale, and how seemingly every corner of this games has something to do. Either a side-quest, or a shrine, or newAwesome open world. Every 10 minutes I encounter something new to do in the open world.     Quando comecei a jogar não havia sentido muita diferença se comparado ao título anterior, mas após um tempo senti que estava jogando algo totalmente novo e refeito, evoluído se assim se pode dizer e isso por si só já dá uma noção do quanto esse jogo é bom. Se breath of the wild era ótimo esse novo título é um passo adiante.

    This game changed me i have played this for days the art style the graphics i loved the dungeons and even the combat style was perfect there are so many references to the older games and this game is the perfect game even if you have played a Zelda game or not.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I want to first address the ppl giving low scores or Average scores as well as negative reviews (7 or below). I read about 10-15 of them. I would say 12 of them didn't like the first game or at least saw BOTW as a 7 (based from there review). If u loved the first, you will love this one MORE.

    Now regarding the comments stating that the map is reused- the map IS brought back, however, it is revamped as well as the shrines are in different places and shrines themselves are completely Different puzzles and brand NEW. If anyone here has played Bloodborne - the old hunter DLC took an already played area but COMPLETLY revamped it- basically making it feel like a new area and fresh and almost unrecognizable. It's the same here in this game. You go to a familiar place and your not like "oh this is the same old place" - its more like "Oh i didint even know this was that place from b4".

    I want to say this as my final thoughts. Zelda BOTW was my first Zelda game ever and when i bought it i had no expectations and didint know what to expect, and was blown away which lead to be replaying it 4x over the years. When i got this game I told myself im sure this is the same thing as b4 there's no way they can change it up, AND for the first few hours i was like "yea this is just more BOTW" BUT when I continued i realized that i was so wrong and much better and more then BOTW2.    … Expand

    Gameplay is top notch. Graphics is acceptable but doesnt ruin the experience.

    TOTK is a constant reminder that when it comes to playing the important thing is the illusion and imagination. I wish more companies had the courage to face the effort it takes to make games like this. Nintendo definitely makes games for kids... and for adults who want to be kids again, at least for a few hours.

    I have only just started playing the game, but I can say it is so much bigger than BOTW and brilliant and a ten out of ten. I will update my review once more into the game. I think it is the years of development and the attention to detail and listening to the fans of the game as to why Nintendo nail the Zelda releases.

    A masterful storytelling, great dungeons, awesome soundtrack. Possibly the better than Breath of The Wild. One of my favorite Zelda since Twilight Princess. Nintendo did it again!

    This game is great. The reason I won't give it a full 10 is because of minor issues with framerate but other than that it's a great game imo. The ultrahand and fuse ability are top notch.

    Un jeu exceptionnel.
    Toutes les petites imperfections de Breath of the Wild ont disparu.
    Les nouveaux pouvoirs sont géniaux.
    Il n’y a plus aucune limite à la créativité .
    On peut facilement jouer 3 ou 4 heures en ayant le sentiment d’avoir joué 20 mn.

    I'm a PC, Xbox and Switch owner. In terms of gameplay, nothing comes close to TOTK. I love the puzzles and variety, it's a real step up from BOTW. The scope and scale of the world is mind blowing, and I can see this taking up a lot of my time in the coming weeks. However, I have one gripe. For the love of god can Nintendo please release a more powerful gaming system! I genuinely amI'm a PC, Xbox and Switch owner. In terms of gameplay, nothing comes close to TOTK.     llevo las primeras 6 hrs de juego y es totalmente una evolución del juego anterior todo mejora y gráficamente es superior al anterior. lo recomiendo al 100% ya dentro de unas semana actualizare el comentario pero dudo mucho cambiar de opinión con respecto al juego.

    1. Weapon crafting. This system allows you to make and customize weapons that you like using. I personally love using 1 handed weapons, I can take a sword, make a 1 handed club, one handed axe, one handed sword etc. I can take a heavy stick, make a 2 handed axe, make a club, make a rock club, really anything. 2. spoilers?     They took BotW and made it bigger and better in every way.

    Completely new gameplay mechanics, vastly improved enemy variety, the world is massive, crafting, building, cooking is through the roof.

    One of the best games of all time.

    Pure and simple. The best game of all time by far, replacing Brath of the Wild which held this position until now! Dungeons have been added, the crafting mechanics are just out of this world and people are going to keep creating and finding new things in this game for decades to come. Just buy it! No real gamer should miss it, as well as its predecessor!

    If you liked Breath of the Wild, you'll love Tears of the Kingdom. It takes the same world and engine and adds new places to explore and new ways to interact with the environment. On top of this the dungeon experience is improved as rather than divine beasts you explore temples that take inspiration from older games while still allowing you the freedom to tackle them as you see fit.

    They somehow managed to recreate the same feeling of exploration and discovery as in Breath of the Wild. It really is a perfect sequel to one of the best games of all time. It’s best to dive in without checking gameplays, reviews, guides, etc. I can’t recommend this game enough, especially now when most AAA games are either unfinished at launch or are unoriginal and repetitive.

    This is it. BOTW was a masterpiece already, but it had it's fair amount of issues, but this? It improved every single aspect of botw, looks better, map is at least twice as big, way more weapons, weapon durability is not an issue anymore, and the story is actually important now, and there's a lot more of it. Yes it has some fps drops, but it is already mindblowing that it runs at all inThis is it. BOTW was a masterpiece already, but it had it's fair amount of issues, but this? It improved every single aspect of botw, looks better, map is at least twice as big, way more weapons, weapon durability is not an issue anymore, and the story is actually important now, and there's a lot more of it. Yes it has some fps drops, but it is already mindblowing that it runs at all in the switch, and we will have to deal with until we get the switch pro. At the start you might get bored or confused because of the sheer amount of stuff you can do, but the longer you play and get used to your powers, the more you will enjoy it. The game gives you absolute freedom to do shrines in many ways, travel the world with selfmade vehicles, or flying, or even riding a dragon. You can basically do whatever you can think of, you just have to be very creative, and people are not used to that in modern gaming because almost every AAA game is a linear "go there by doing" this, but not here, here it is more of a "go there in any way you can think of, just do it". And then there's the music. Botw's soundtrack was a masterpiece, and this does not fall behind at all, with some old songs from botw and a lot of new songs that are just perfect, they really went all out on that aspect.
    Basically, play it. If you rate this game a 0 you have 100% not played it and are just a blind hater that doesn't like the fact that this is as good as it is and not the "Dlc" you all said it was going to be.    … Expand

    The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
