    This game is the essence of a beautiful, day Words cannot describe how perfect is the game feels. the story, the art style, even the FPS rate!
    If you have a switch and played breath of the wild or not it’s still a beautiful game in deserves an easy 10/10

    A perfect game.... almost. If it wasn't for the aged switch hardware this game would be rated 100 or 101 overall but due to some stuttering when using abilities, it's taken a hit.

    Still it wipes the floor with every other game ever to come out.

    many great additions to the world to make it feel fresh with the new caves shrines dungeons koroks enemy encampments sky and underground portions of the map and side quests, story pulls u in with its mystery and grandiose feeling with it a very good sequel with some small issues not a 10/10 but a damm good game when u play for the type of sandboxy game like botw the new abilities wouldmany great additions to the world to make it feel fresh with the new caves shrines dungeons koroks enemy encampments sky and underground portions of the map and side quests, story pulls u in with its mystery and grandiose feeling with it a very good sequel with some small issues not a 10/10 but a damm good game when u play for the type of sandboxy game like botw the new abilities would make this game a 7/10 them selves very fun to play around with and can allow for almost any thing that u can think to be able to create… Expand

    There's so much to do in the game that could sink hours of gameplay and you're free to do a lot of stuff. Story is great, gameplay is awesome, npc interactions is great. Not really a fan of the low durability weapons but I get that it is what it's gameplay is.

    I never imagined that a game would be able to surpass Breath of the Wild which is the best game of all time in my opinion of over 27 years of playing video games. The new mechanics make the other developers look amateurish, and here are some moments that will surprise even a longtime The Legend of Zelda fan like myself.     It’s easy to say that Tears of the Kingdom grabs the same formula from Breath of the Wild and in many cases, it does. But, it takes that formula and improves upon in every single way possible. Bigger world, more options with combat, new toys to play with, new abilities to use and abuse. The world is your playground in Tears of the Kingdom and it’s one of the only idea games that everyIt’s easy to say that Tears of the Kingdom grabs the same formula from Breath of the Wild and in many cases, it does. But, it takes that formula and improves upon in every single way possible. Bigger world, more options with combat, new toys to play with, new abilities to use and abuse. The world is your playground in Tears of the Kingdom and it’s one of the only idea games that every grabbed that idea and went to town on its ambitions.

    Tears of the Kingdom sets a new benchmark in open world games, even more so than its predecessor. Tears also improves upon its story telling in which it tells one of the best Zelda stories to date, and may even rival Ocarina of Time’s wonderful storyline. While the game does look a bit dated, the gameplay and exploration potential more than makes up for it. Giving you verticality in sky or underground, all the adding new abilities like Fuse (which never gets old) and ascend to transverse in all new ways.

    This entry breaks new ground into the Zelda series and into gaming as a whole. It’s the new standard for open world games and any game I play in the future with this concept will be scrutinized with Tears of the Kingdom in mind. It’s a masterpiece through and through.     To all the complaints about the game charging $70. Don’t know what the issue is as Breath of the Wild was already $70 back in 2017.     Es übertrifft den Vorgänger, die Fähigkeiten, welche man im Spiel bekommt sind wirklich was außergewöhnliches, es ermöglichen sich einem so tolle Möglichkeiten mit der riesigen Spielwelt zu interagieren. Das Setting, die Story, die Umsetzung.. es fesselt einen und man möchte immer mehr und mehr.

    GOTY here we come!

    GOTY aside, this game is honestly one of the best video games of all time. Leading up to its release, I didn't think it was going to be as good as Botw. After playing Totk for 140 hours, i can confidently say that it absolutely blew my expectations. TOTK is the definition of a videogame masterpiece and (alongside Elden Ring) further proves that videogames are works of art.

    I can t stop playing, it just mean this is one of the best game ever created, gameplay is so fun, freedom is total, it is really hard to play to any other game after that. How an open world without loading was created on switch is a mystery, this game blow my find and deserve to be on the top of best game ever.

    Probably the greatest game of all time. It’s on the same level as Elden ring Rdr2, and Baldurs gate 3. Would recommend if you enjoy happiness.

    If you enjoyed BOTW even in the slightest, you must play this game. Just Hyrule itself has been revamped a ton, and now there's also Sky islands and the dark depths below Hyrule. So much content and an infinite amount of possibilities with the godhand / recall abilties / vehicle building. A master class open world

    Long Part:
    First off, I'd like to say- this game is amazing. A lot of the features of the game are subjective, such as the building and the way they game is. Others have commented that it's a "rehashed" or just another DLC don't really see some of the sights of the game, or have commented that this isn't a Zelda game. On top of the BOTW map, the new areas increases the map size by at least x2.5. As a result of this, it's easy to get sidetracked in the game, which makes it almost impossible to always stay on one path. The developers have been able to successfully add some new dungeon aspects to the game, which makes solving puzzles much more entertaining than tedious. The new abilities (especially building) allow for a lot more creativity, and whether it be a good or bad thing, you can almost always find an unintended way to finish something. The story, if you like that sort of thing, has more impact that BOTW's story (subjectively of course) which always is a good thing. One problem is the framerate drops every once in a while based on the location, but the best solution I've had if it happens often is to restart my switch. Based on the size of the game, I'm completely surprised that it can even run on the Switch, but the frame drops are sometimes very noticeable. Anyways, I hope this helps anyone who is considering buying the game.    … Expand

    Nintendo managed to do the impossible, and top Breath of the Wild. The new gameplay mechanics makes the experience fresh and new. They doubled the size of the world, made more than the 120 shrines the previous game had, and made tons of additions and alterations to the original Hyrule map. This game will entertain you for hundreds of hours.

Really surprised this game can even run on The Switch and many talk about lag but that will eventually be patched up. This game is their priority...anyways easily one of the best games ever made so I will keep this at that and spoiler free.

    1. The sage ability is comparable to the warriors but their AI that help you in battle is truly bad. They rarely attack, hindering your view and just get in your way in battle. The implementation of sage support is just way too rough or sluggish for now.

    2. The fuse material with arrow is a "wow" factor for me but could you please create a special load-out like we can customize just certain material for fusing with arrow or just for throwing with our hand. Yes, there's a sort function but come on, that should be an easy fix by just creating a load-out feature so we don't have to scroll for too long.

    3. I'm impress that Korok Forest is running at a stable frame rate but now the Ultrahand ability is the new virus for FPS drop in TOTK. Seriously, everytime Ultrahand got activated, the FPS just drop significantly.

    4. The focus or lock on function still sucks in my opinion and the range also way too short. The battle with Demon King feels rough because of this because you can switch target in lock-on mode.

    That's it, seems many but all of that point can't compare to how outstanding the game is. The story also far superior that BOTW, kind of confuse with some reviewer that rate the story as OK or bad but well, narrative is a subjective matter. The story makes me understand why it called "Tears of the Kingdom"

    The game was really good but I have to take some points off.
    There was no postgame after ganondorf! -This time I was definitely waiting for there to be postgame: some new side quests would have opened up and I could have explored the rest of the world and help rebuild whole Hyrule.     -This time I was definitely waiting for there to be postgame: some new side quests would have opened up and I could have explored the rest of the world and help rebuild whole Hyrule.

    MAP
    -Sky islands were fun and the underground world is huge!
    -But I expected to find slightly different biomes there, tough I won't take any points off from this.
    -Still.. With this game alone I wasn't quite able to fully achieve that same adventuring feeling than in Botw. Mostly because I already knew every major location on the ground, even tough there were a lot of caves and new enemies.
    -I would have liked that they expanded the hyrule ground map even little and add new cities (even one) and would have made the old cities bigger!

    RUNES
    -All the runes were good/great and somewhat surprisingly I liked the Ascend
    the most!

    WEAPONS
    -Weapons still break but fuse was ok/fun so no points off. Tough I still would prefer that you would be able to build/upgrade your own weapons with blacksmith/anvil and they wouldn't break

    SHRINES & DUNGEONS
    -the shrines were generally more fun than in Botw.
    -I liked these dungeons better than Divine beasts

    Summary
    -I would say it is as good as botw but for new players it's even better.
    But for those who already completed Botw and are really familiar with the old the map,
    you might not be able to get the same level of adventure feeling when exploring on ground, witch is a HUGE part of the game.

    But since this is direct sequel.. If you think Botw and Totk as one experience, then totk is pretty much a perfect postgame for Botw! ...well it's kinda overly large to be just postgame but if I think it this way then its 100/100!

    Next game should be on whole new world! third time would be way too much..    … Expand

    I don't even know where to begin! The only negative from me is that the can be very, i mean VERY grindy if you want to max out. But other than this this game is just perfect. It's the perfect sequel to breath of the wild. Bigger and better. A perfect satisfying adventure game and it's run extremely well on switch. I didn't met any bugs in the entire playtrough. The music is just theI don't even know where to begin! The only negative from me is that the can be very, i mean VERY grindy if you want to max out. But other than this this game is just perfect. It's the perfect sequel to breath of the wild. Bigger and better. A perfect satisfying adventure game and it's run extremely well on switch. I didn't met any bugs in the entire playtrough. The music is just the cherry on the cake. It's so good to see that a game finaly comes in a finished state at launch and has zero bugs.     UNA OBRA MAESTRA, el mejor juego de Switch y de la generación, así se puede resumir esta entrega, si por algo NO le puse el 10 a BOTW, este juego corrige todo lo malo de BOTW y nos da el Zelda definitivo, con mas de 200 horas de juego, Ganondorf esta de regreso y nos demuestra que es el mejor villano de Nintendo, la historia mejora mucho con su antecesor y regresan los templos clásicos,UNA OBRA MAESTRA, el mejor juego de Switch y de la generación, así se puede resumir esta entrega, si por algo NO le puse el 10 a BOTW, este juego corrige todo lo malo de BOTW y nos da el Zelda definitivo, con mas de 200 horas de juego, Ganondorf esta de regreso y nos demuestra que es el mejor villano de Nintendo, la historia mejora mucho con su antecesor y regresan los templos clásicos, simplemente es el mejor juego de Switch con un hermoso estilo grafico y mis respetos para los programadores, eso de caer del cielo y ver a Hyrule sin ningún problema es espectacular, tenemos 3 mapas que nos darán horas de juego y exploración, los jefes son increíbles y superan por mucho a los mediocres jefes de BOTH, de verdad este juego es UNA OBRA MAESTRA.… Expand

    Não há muito o que dizer a respeito de TOTK, apenas elogiar a mente brilhante da equipe de desenvolvimento. O jogo nos transporta para um game com 3 planos de exploração, um mundo vasto e cheio de surpresas e agora com companheiros que nos acompanham na jornada, as construções aos montes deixa a imaginação florar sem limites. 2023 surgiu o goty e pela segunda vez Zelda merece o tal, eNão há muito o que dizer a respeito de TOTK, apenas elogiar a mente brilhante da equipe de desenvolvimento.     A really good puzzle game. If you like crosswords, sudoku, rubik's cube, things of that nature, you will love TOTK. Its not a combat game, and rather than just tell you that, TOTK leaves you to just figure it out on your own. The weapons are made to simply fail ASAP making you want to avoid combat. If you like crosswords, sudoku, rubik's cube, things of that nature, you will love TOTK. Its not a combat game, and rather than just tell you that, TOTK leaves you to just figure it out on your own.     I have not played an open world game packed with so many things to in a very, very long time. Every single time I want to go somewhere I come across 2 or 3 random other things that catch my attention and want to go check out first, and just like the, before I know it, my initially small detour turned into me exploring a big chunk of the map for 2+ hours without ever getting to what II have not played an open world game packed with so many things to in a very, very long time.     I’m genuinely awestruck by how good a video game can be. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness blew me away. It exceeds everything that I could have hoped for from a BotW sequel. Even if you’re not a Zelda fan, give it a try and explore around. If you have any sense of curiosity and wonder, this game will blow your mind.

Metacritic figure out a way to stop people who don’t actually play the game from rating them cause if these ppl played this then they wouldn’t be giving it the bad scores with no real reasoning.     Even though I’ve just started the game it’s already looking to be as good or even better than BOTW, yes mechanics, graphics, and gameplay are pretty much the same, but the whole ambiance feels different, and the concept of sky islands, and underground depths is really entertaining. Loving it!

This game is not perfect, the main quest before each dungeon is not great in my opinion and the way botw handle the order of the main quest is also better but the shear amount of content this game have to offer is amazing, the side quests are great and there is a lot of side adventures as it's called in the game witch are long quest with interesting story.     I have played this game for about 20 hours, and have been absolutely blown away! I managed to stay spoiler free before the game launch, and am endlessly amazed by the story and gameplay. An amazing sequel all around!

    These sacrifices however, morph the gameplay experience into a slightly-less open one that continues to surprise you. You will be travelling more often to complete missions, but damn is the journey more fun than ever.

    Everything feels slightly faster for your convenience, even the teleportation transition and the shrines no longer prompt you with an introductory text each time. Even the "fade out" animation when you skip a skippable cutscene FEELS faster. The care put into this game is immense. And it shows.

    This one is not only going to be game of the year, but it will easily become a game to be remembered for generations to come. It puts other titles to shame with how brilliantly it implements creative mechanics, and I hope everyone can learn from its soul.    … Expand

He jugado los juegos de la saga desde la NESS y creo que este mejoro muchas cosas del juego anterior, amplia el mapa en tres horizontes (cielo, tierra y subsuelo), agrega mecanicas geniales con la construcción de vehículos para desplazarse y agrega un sin fin de combinaciones de armas. Solo creo que falto agregar mas sets para link y ojalá en algún momento de la saga,Es un tremendo juego. He jugado los juegos de la saga desde la NESS y creo que este mejoro muchas cosas del juego anterior, amplia el mapa en tres horizontes (cielo, tierra y subsuelo), agrega mecanicas geniales con la construcción de vehículos para desplazarse y agrega un sin fin de combinaciones de armas. Solo creo que falto agregar mas sets para link y ojalá en algún momento de la saga, implementen un sistema de niveles para link. La narrativa como siempre es espectacular y solo queda mejorar la jugabilidad en el mando (saltar con x del mando switch y pegar con Y a veces te deja muy a trasmano para hacer combinaciones como correr, saltar y pegar). Lo recomiendo completamente si te gusta explorar, resolver rompecabezas y desafios grandes, ya que las armas se rompen y los monstruos van subiendo su categoría mientras mas los vayas aniquilando. Ojalá también en un futuro DLC, amplien algo mas la obtención de rupias que en esta entrega son demasiado pocas y difíciles de obtener.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The time has come for a new Zelda game, and Nintendo hit it out of the park with this one. Breath of the Wild will always be the Wii U's Zelda, and now the switch has one to call it's own. I have only done one dungeon so far, (Wind Temple) and it was similar to a divine beast but it had more of the dungeon feel we were hoping for. The boss was also better than just another blight. To see how villages have changed and how people are rebuilding after the events of Breath of The Wild is pretty cool, and also how some have fallen into despair. The new abilities that replace the Shekia slate are all good, some allow you to build vehicles and weapons, one is similar to stasis, and one lets you travel upwards. The shrine system carries over, but there are less shrines than in Botw (I think)

    The story is great, and has me wanting to find more parts of it. I've been playing it constantly. My one complaint is that this game pushes the switch to it's max. I have a V2 switch and it can be a little laggy when you make a huge contraption with ultra hand. This has in no way affected how fun the game is though. And in conclusion, if you liked Breath of the Wild, you'll love this game. If you didn't like or didn't play Botw, it's probably not gonna be as fun for you. The dungeons are more traditional, but it's still a massive open world game that kinda relies on the player to know what they're doing.    … Expand

The underground & the sky islands are amazing as well, but I'm only talking about the ground portion of hyrule here! The story line is better as well. Breath of the wild never made me want to cry, but tears of the kingdomI absolutely love the game! The gameplay is amazing, there is so much more than in breath of the wild.     Zelda breath of the wild gives a sense of adventure that can get you lost for hours, But tears of the kingdom gives a real adventure where you can solve any problem, the way you want. When playing I constantly asked myself, "what if I use this" and I would always find a way to solve the problems using simple creativity

    After over 80 hours I have been proven by Nintendo and Team Zelda that this is the best open world videogame ever created. There is just nothing else like this out there, not even its prequel, Breath of the Wild, which ends up feeling like a beta for this game. To put it in few words: Tears of the Kingdom ends up being at least 3 times better than its predecessor.

    This game is pure fun. No frustration. Everything works. Multiple solutions to the puzzles.
