    Le jeu est un excellent jeu d'action-aventure, très beau avec des décors magnifique. La musiques ainsi que les dialogues sont très réussit ainsi que tout les **** clins d’œils. Cependant, les combats sont inutile, aucune récompenses avec un système intéressant pas pas assez exploité, excepté pour les combats de boss et ceux se passant de ce système.

    So far it's a pretty good game. Haven't played a Paper Mario game before but I feel like this has a lot of content. While it's probable that it'll become repetitive, I'm having a blast so far. I do wish they'd go back to where experience was a thing

    Another great installment for the saga. Also i think the game has lost a bit of it identity with the lack of RPG elements i think that everyone will enjoy it. Its also a bit short imo. And please, can we stop with the review bombings already? Console wars fanboys are the worst thing in the gaming community, that and microtransactions.

    El juego en sí es un buen paper mario moderno , no se asemeja nada a paper mario la puerta milenaria o a la entrega de nintendo 64 pero si toma de nuevo el uso de las acciones de martillo y botas , teniendo esto en cuenta la historia es la misma pero los diálogos en la localización latinoamericana son increíbles , recordemos que hay que hacer llegar a nintendo las cosas que nos diviertenEl juego en sí es un buen paper mario moderno , no se asemeja nada a paper mario la puerta milenaria o a la entrega de nintendo 64 pero si toma de nuevo el uso de las acciones de martillo y botas , teniendo esto en cuenta la historia es la misma pero los diálogos en la localización latinoamericana son increíbles , recordemos que hay que hacer llegar a nintendo las cosas que nos divierten con respeto y humildad.

    Visualmente asombroso , más que color splash y definitivamente la banda Sonora es increíble, se agradece que regrese las acciones al momento de pelear de l martillo , bota entre otras cosas útiles que son consumible o se desgastan , la mecánica de puzzles al momento de armar estrategias es interesante y de "Tiempo" Lo malo:

    It’s really fun! Not the return to ‘true’ paper Mario, but it’s definitely it’s own thing and I think it excels at it. Great game, had a huge smile ear to ear, and really enjoyed the new combat system. The settings, characters, exploration, music and so much more wowed me at almost every turn. Overall very solid, super excited to see what this team does next.

    Tras más de 15 horas jugadas, este juego me parece una bestialidad. Consigue que solo quiera jugar a él y no salir de su mundo. La diversidad de mecánicas conforme avanza la historia, la calidad de sus diálogos, su música, su cuidado aspecto gráfico y su increíble música lo hacen un tremendo juegazo.

Consigue que solo quiera jugar a él y no salir de su mundo.     Es cierto que el sistema de combate en algún momento puede pecar de necesitar de un sistema de experiencia para justificarse, pero creo que sus sistema de objetos y fase de puzzles lo convierten en algo realmente divertido.

    Creo que es mi segundo Paper Mario favorito, el primero no puede ser otro que La Puerta Milenaria.

I loved the game and the story when you talk about paper Mario games you cannot wait for a great story but this time the story accomplish it's goal just having fun the audience (isn't necessary wait for a deep RPG game).     Blind reviews just because this game isn’t exactly like every turned based rpg out there is just sad. This game is new and exciting to play. Just because it’s not to your liking gameplay wise does not mean it’s not worth a try. It’s a fun game, has a lot to love, and is very welcome in the Paper Mario series. I definitely recommend playing it

The coins are balanced well with how many you need to buy things and how many you get per battle.… Expand

    First of all, I'm justa couple hours into the game, I defeated the first streamer boss and just started the second ''chapter''. So far the game is really really good. There are a couple things I would change in term of the comabt system, but except that part of the game, I wouldn't change anything (except maybe the extreme amount of hand holding at the start of the game.)

    First of all, every artistic aspects of the game are great, the visual, the music, the writing, it all deserves a good 10/10 just by itself, I love how the world feels like an actual world and not just an art project like Color splash (how the sky, the horizona nd all were also, paper, now it is pretty much a normal sky). I am a huge collectathon fan, so finding each and every toads, fishing, filling up every empty spots with confeties is amazing.

    Basically, the game would get a good 10/10 from me if it wasn'T for a couple things with the combat. Don't get me wrong, this is one of if not THE best and most interesting combat system I have played yet, even the lack of experience points, I don'T particularly mind because pretty much every ''chapters'' have it's own progression. The thing with it lies in how easy it is and how redundant it is at some points. What do I mean by how easy it is? The moment you start the fight, the enemies are already positioned in the most optimal way and you just recreat it super easily, get a damage buff and 1 shot all of them, there are more enemies than usual? don'T worry, the system gave you a free extra action. The other part is how you pretty much only jump and smash with your hammer, it is redundant and I hope later in the game you get something more amazing than ''shiny boots'' or ''metal boots''. Boss fights are amazing, no problems with that.

    I give it a 9/10 despite it'S flawed combats because I bought it because I wanted to play an adventurous puzzle game and on that part, it more than delivered, the combat is mind numbingly easy and redundant, but I still like to do them and I love to see the coins pile up (thank you for removing the 9999 coins cap) and see it as a high score.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I've only gotten closed to being finished with TTYD when this game came out. I gotta say, while I enjoyed TTYD immensely, Origami King is my favorite Paper Mario game out of the ones that I've played.

    The battle system is great, although tricky at times. The witty humor and writing is great. The entire game graphically and aesthetically looks beautiful. The soundtracks are a banger. My only problems fall when 100% completing the game where there are a few collectibles that I struggled immensely in getting or just didn't enjoy doing, such as the Bossotronic rematches, getting all of the coins in Eddy's River, and getting a Perfect Game in Shy Guys Finish Last.

    Overall, I love this game even during my frustrations of how bad I am at video games. I highly recommend getting this game!    … Expand

    I liked my journey through the game. The story wasn't amazing but it did keep me hooked. The music is A M A Z I N G, and the combat was fun enough. The bosses were the best part of the combat because they were all so creative. What people don't get is that this is not a successor to The Thousand Year Door, it is it's own thing and deserves to stand alone.

    It's a great game if you don't go in expecting it to be an RPG. It's a very fun puzzle action/adventure game. Of course it would be better if you were better rewarded for completing battles, but this does not make the game bad. I would give this game an 8/10 or 8.5/10 if it were not for all of the troll reviews who probably didnt even play the game giving it 0's.

    The game is nice and pleseant. I've fun with it, the difficulty inscrease with time and the new ennemies. The music is pretty good and melodious, as for the general atmosphere. Also the humor is present, i smile several times ^_^
    I only disaprove the XP/RPG removing side, damage.

    In den ersten ein bis zwei Spielstunden erwartet man sich eigentlich noch nicht allzu viel von dem Titel, es wirkt schnell wie ein Color Splash 2 mit neuem Kampfsystem. Jedoch täuscht dieser Eindruck massiv, da sich im Laufe des Spiels das Ganze zu einer eierlegende Wollmilchsau für der Gamedesign-Entscheidungen entwickelt. Es gibt unheimlich viele gute Mini-Spiele, nett gestaltete Bosse, die einerseits aus Origami bestehen, andererseits als Boss einer Welt auch von einem Büroartikel dargestellt werden. Zudem kommen noch tolle Tempel im Stil von The Legend Of Zelda mit knackigen Rätseln und überall merkt man auch, wie vieles von der Zelda-Reihe inspiriert wurde. Zu sammeln gibt es auch mehr als genug und somit ist man echt lang genug beschäftigt. Auch das Kampfsystem ist echt innovativ und die Kämpfe aufgrund der Münzen eine Notwendigkeit. Die Bosskämpfe sind zum Teil richtig knackig, aber im Enedeffekt doch mega einfach. Es gibt einfach nichts schlechtes, was man über The Origami King sagen kann.    … Expand

Maybe not "160 IQ Brain" level, but enough sometimes to add a sense of tension and flavor to the already harmoniously beautiful moments within the game's bosses and in general. With The streamers, Origami king and Kingdom of enemies folded into origami. Also I like side quest of collection of all the Toads. For a Paper Mario game its colorful, nice graphfx. I also enjoyed the semi open world-ness about this game. If you can get around itPaper Mario Origami King!- 1st let me say this game is much more entertaining&better then I expected. The story is a homerun! With The streamers, Origami king and Kingdom of enemies folded into origami. Also I like side quest of collection of all the Toads. You only level up after Dungeons/Bosses are beaten like recent Paper Marios.

    I am over 20 hours into gameplay, and I genuinely think that most people are judging this game before playing very far and are taking their stubborn ideas that "paper mario has changed for the worst" into their gameplay and letting it bias their opinion without giving the game a fair chance. Examples of unfair judgements: People who complain about coins becoming too abundant have not played far enough in to realize the big ticket items you will be spending your coins on, or how to use coins in battle to make it less tedious and frustrating. No unique characters or sidekicks, again, did these people even play far enough to see where nintendo went with this? To be fair, I do think that nintendo took a huge risk making the battles basically puzzles, as I could see that being very hit or miss with people since it can be frustrating and unenjoyable for some. And I do wish there were more side quests, and they brought back the partner system. But overall, I am really enjoying this game, and I find all of the humor and dialogue funny and charming. Throw your bias aside and give this game a chance and stop comparing it to TTYD.… Expand

    Los graficos, historia y personajes son una maravilla jugarlo ha sido divertido y entrenido. Es diferente de otros "PAPER" pero de buena manera se nota que a sido creado con cariño y esmero, quienes gusten de los "PAPERS" se divertiran mucho!!!!!!!

    I m in chapter 3 of this game and holly it is amazing for now I would say its 9/10 but I just dont want people to see oh user score 5 bad game I just want people to try this masterpiece thats why I am giving 10/10 but I think its around 9-8 for now but gotta say please give a chance this game is amazing

    Great Game! This is NOT Sticker Star 3 as it has more story and atmosphere than that game ever had. The game is filled with gorgeous visuals. While it may not have the deepest of stories it is filled with both semi dark moments and humor. Rather than tossing humor left and right, there is some deeper moments, especially with the initial dark tone. At first I thought I would hate battles,Great Game!     Despite people not liking that it’s not an RPG, I found the game to be better then the last 2 paper Mario instalments. The world and humour gives this game a lot of charm. Also I found the battle system to be enjoyable.

    First don't listen to the negative reviews from the people who are just angry they didn't get the exact Paper Mario "remake" they wanted. I'm about 8 hours in and the gameplay and battle system are great. The story is very engaging and humorous. Even hunting the collectables is fun. As long as you don't expect this game to be a game it's not then you will love this game also.

I enjoy using my brain slightly to figure out the puzzles. The combat is a great alternative to the old, outdated and constantly used combat systems like in Pokemon. I have been playing Paper Mario since its very first release on N64 (I still remember my mom getting it for me at target) and I gotta say I had an absolute blast playing through this! I am doing my best to understand the complaints of other pessimistic reviewers but alas I think these people have succumbed to the horrible disease plaguing the human race known as "nostalgia". I think some of you other relics need to stop grasping onto a nearly 20 year old game known as TTYD and digging your puffed up expectation claws into every new Mario game. While I can't speak much on Color Splash and sticker star (haven't owned a Wii U until about 2 months ago/never bought sticker star) I would definitely say this game is equal to its "good" counterparts. I highly recommend buying this game!

    CONS (kinda):
    -Battle system: Yes, you guys are right, the battle system was a bit weird at the beginning of the game. If you only played through 5 seconds of this game then you would most definitely hate it. If you are like me and enjoy a slight puzzle then its really not all that bad. The boss battles got me a little irritated at first, BUT, I stuck with it and learned how to chain the spaces together thus making me a master at boss battles! I do miss the old battle system from Paper Mario 64, however, I stopped feeding into the nostalgia trend awhile ago so for the most part I enjoy the battles. As for some of you that complain about not getting rewards, you serious Clark?? Stepping on an enemy you can easily defeat, you only get 10 coins, but you can get anywhere from 30-60 times that amount for taking the time to engage in a normal battle. So yes you do get rewarded extra, just not rewarded with items every other battle like the old days.

    -Exploration: I did see a complaint in the reviews before I started playing about the world not having much to explore and I agree to an extent. There's still plenty to explore but just not as much as you would think playing through. For example places like outside the first temple, you would think there would be another area attached but nope, there's not. There is only a slight drop down to grab something, that was it. I was a little disappointed by this but once the temple was opened up my disappointment went away. Here is the counter argument to this exploration issue: Not many people want loooong drawn out areas. At times, a big area like that on a game like this can feel "overwhelming". I don't want to have to go through 50 areas just to get to the boss's door. I think they did a fairly good mixture in this game but I would have liked to see just a few more exploring areas, though not TOO many.

    -Character design: I can also somewhat agree with reviewers that the character design did lack a bit. While I do not think at all they should ever get rid of the classic Mario enemies, I do think that the boss's could have gotten a slight makeover. I understood why the boss's were the way they were, but they honestly could have been less bland at times. I just remember thinking "Oh it's a... hole puncher". Y 'all really couldn't make it into like a hole punch robot or something more original? I'm not gonna dock any stars for that though because I did have fun with boss battles.

    -No leveling system: I miss the leveling systems of past, I really do. All other games I play have leveling systems but this one does not. The leveling system is essentially finding a different type of "collectible". Another counter argument to this: Do any of you really miss grinding the same goombas over and over again for miniscule amounts of coins and EXP? I know I don't! This new system I think prevented grinding and wasting away your time/life on levels. I think at the end of the day I would honestly rather explore the landscape than sit in the same area for hours feeling like I barely accomplished anything.

    I am running out of characters so I will try to keep my Pros list to minimum.

    PROS:

    -Music: I think every paper Mario has had a few good tracks to nod your head to, but WOW the music in this game was pure gold!! Loved the vellumental boss music! sounded almost like Lindsey Stirling!

    -Scenery/Artwork: A+++ for the visuals!! almost breathtaking at times! Vivid colors and very creatively pieced together landscape!

    -Gameplay: I had so much fun working my way through different puzzles, scenarios, and levels! I think the creativity of the game is it what really kept me hooked! Rebuilding the world with bits of paper confetti, crumpled up toad hunting, unique boss battles, Shogun studios as a whole, Paper Macho enemies, etc. I could keep listing things but I will end it there!

    The game as a whole was amazing!! I could talk about this game for hours! Definitely one I will be replaying in the future!    … Expand

It's not a bad fighting system by any means, and the incentives, this being the coins, have become better over time, but it still lacks that revamped rpg feel that we have been yearning for. For the rest of the game, I cannot find too many flaws in it. The story is engaging and filled with comedy and emotions; its characters make said story shine brighter with the amazing scripting and dialogue. You'll definitely get an feels alive handful of laughs out of this game. The world building has been done to where each new location you visit feels alive and real. The people living in each section have their own little cultures and unique quirks that interact with their environment without it feeling unnatural. I will emphasize on the characters since i felt that they're one of, if not the strongest, most enjoyable part of the game. The rosks taken by Nintendo for each dialogue and each interaction with the characters was at sometimes shocking, but always welcomed with excitement and more laughter. This especially happened with the more brutal and creepy moments, as well as the more daring comedic writing. I had an absolute blast playing this game from start to finish, and even got that special feeling of not wanting the game to end so the characters within it would keep living within such an interesting world. Color Splash might've been a small step in the right direction, but Origami King is its own gem with it's own unique feel that reaches out to many old aspects that people missed about the series while keeping its own personality intact. This game is a classic i would've loved to grow up with.… Expand

    A masterpiece. True innovation, a fresh air to the saga paper mario. Soundtrack is absolute amazing with a lot catchy tunes of diferent genres, new combat style is so much fun and original, graphics are incredible beautiful and the best part its the dialogues, full of humor, you will laugh a lot!

    People are upset this isn't the thousand year door, and I wish it had exp, flower points and levels, but it doesn't, but despite not having those mechanics this is still a great game. Just because you want this to be another game doesn't mean it's bad. I recommend this as a long time paper Mario fan. (8/10 game at least, but I want to negate some of the unfair review bombing)

    Paper Mario is a game with incredible charisma and beautiful art, the combat system was a bit tedious at first but seeing how complex and entertaining it really became, I end up liking it and really, although I do not consider this Paper Mario to be the best I consider a very good game

    I really like this paper Mario game, Yeah the battle system is not the best but it was better than I expected, however, running away from enemies is so easy in this game.
    The games world design is amazing, the place actually feels like a home for certain species and the game humor is on good, it catches me off-guard every time overall I would recommend this game

    This is a great action adventure game with a lot of fixes from the last two games. The atmosphere and aesthetic is great along with the music. The battle can be tedious if you don't like puzzles. This game is very much the Mario version of a 2D Zelda. The music is great. I would give this a 10/10, but this game won't blow you out of the water, but it is a great game all around.

The battle system is so intuitive and clever. It's a puzzle which you gotta slide or rotate the rings. It might seem weird at first but you'll get the hang of it as its goes on. Coins are actually important, you'll spend them all the time. So the battle is much more important . The characters are so charming with their own story and passion. Bobby actually sacrificed himself to save Olivia. That really adds a lot of personality to him. And Olivia is just so cute and adorable. It might not be same as The Thousand Year Door or the original but if you give it a try you might really adore this game and the effort that is made to made this game.… Expand

    I enjoyed every part of this game, except the enemy battle ring. Maybe I’m just dumb, but at some point I ended paying Toads to do the job for me. I loved the humor, every single Toad you find has something funny to say.
    Secondary characters are charismatic too. Don’t judge this game just because it isn’t like the two first two ones, it has its own charm and it is a really good game.

    Made it halfway through the game, and that's where the game really started to shine. The ring battle is nice, and especially during the boss battles. Sidekicks look more like sidekicks at long last. So far the only Paper Mario game that made me come back to the series (since Super Paper Mario). Most recommended giving it a try!

    Paper Mario Origami King first let me say this game is much more entertaining and better then I expected. Whilst Paper Mario The Origami King is a massive deviation from the first two games, this game still brings great writing, presentation, and innovative battle system. This game is a gem among the recent Paper Mario games.

    This game is awesome, cute, lighthearted fun with some intense puzzle based battles. The boss battles are especially awesome and creative. The humor and story telling is spot on as is usually the case with the series as well!

    The Game is honestly amazing. And yes i played Paper Mario 2 and i still think that PM Origami king is one of the best paper marios so far. the only thing i miss are the unique character designs, but everything else is a 10/10. characters, humor, story, gameplay, everything. im really sad that the game geta so much hate just because its different from PM 1 and 2

    Paper Mario deserves better. The prestige of a Final Fantasy veteran appropriating his magic onto a handicraft world deserves better. The unforgettable wit and lovable cast expanding Mario lore deserves better. And we know that Intelligent Systems can do better than committing themselves to a misguided identity crisis.
