    What a fantastic game. Nintendo proves that after years of others making Metroid-like games, they are still the kings. The world is beautiful. The soundtrack is gorgeous. The boss fights are some of the funnest yet. Hope to see more Metroid. Buy this game!

    I was never too crazy about the 2D Metroid series even as a kid when the 1986 game came out , but after 35 years finally a 2d Metroid game that i love outside from the prime series!

    The game is gorgeous, the movement is fluid and the combat is satisfying. Definitely a Metroid game through and through, the new music fits the tone well, albeit not super memorable. Some of the tracks from previous games are back and remastered as well. The frame rate holds pretty steady at 60 FPS outside of the cutscenes when traveling between zones, which are noticeably choppy. My girlfriend, a casual gamer, wanted to play and was freaking out when she had her first real EMMI encounter in the game. I’ve beaten the game twice so far, first on normal 100% in about 13 hours then on hard any% in about 3.5 hours. New sequence breaks are being discovered everyday so I’m excited to see how low the times can be pushed.… Expand

    amazing game its great for old and new players while old players will feel reconected with what made the series great new players will be delited, metroid dread is trully an experience its background design its great and all cararcters design are on another level samus looks sick with her new suit, bosses are challenging and puzzle like which makes feel great when you beat them

Atmospheric, moody, riddled with secrets, deep 2D exploration, difficult but fair and overall so immersive and enjoyable. The industrial noises and futuristic sounds stick with me well after I haveAddictive Metroid title that feels unique but also familiar to a masterful series.     If you wanted classic Metroid, you got it and then some. Controls are smooth as silk and the atmosphere is oppressive and...well sorry but it's DREADFUL. The art style is gorgeous. The performance is top notch. It's just hard to ding this game for much. Maybe slightly (ehh I hate to use this word) linear? Only in the beginning though. I dont know what else to say!     Metroid Dread is my favorite game so far, it has exploration elements from Super Metroid, and as you go on it manages to seamlessly morph into metroid fusion getting more tense as you go on. The game is super hard, and that stands out especially since most Nintendo games are pushovers now. I can not recommend it enough!

    This game is fantastic! Great storyline, a thrilling and fast paced experience. I will say that this game IS HARD. This could be a positive or a negative depending on personal preferences, but personally I think it is great to have a challenge and a game that actually takes effort to beat.

    Really amazing game. The best Metroidvania of the decade! Emmi encounters are terrifying and bosses are difficult. I 100% recommended buying this game if you are a fan of adventure games, metroidvanianas or the like!

Hit me right in the nostalgia having played previous 2D Metroid games like Fusion and Zero Mission. Literally the only thing I would have liked to be included was a section with zero suit Samus. I’m sure that gameplay would have been super fun given how the game plays with the power suit. The gallery makes up for that a bit though easy 11/10, A++, will buy twice just to let Nintendo know I want another 2D Metroid.… Expand

    Jugabilidad: Siendo cortos, Metroid Dread es el mejor Metroide jugable hasta la fecha, el control de Samus es super preciso, con un acción muy dinámica que enriquece muchísimo más el gameplay gracias a una serie de power ups pero esta vez a lo Metroid que iremos recogiendo a lo largo de la aventura los cuales usaremos en mayor o mentor medida , aún así muchos forman un gran equilibrio.

    Sonido: A nivel sonoro la BSO de Dread es bestial, al nivel de las mejores de la saga, provocando una sensacion ambiental en las diversas zonas del planeta ZDR, así como tensión y miedo en las zonas E.M.M.I y epicidad ante los bosses, los cuales ya podemos considerar como de los más difíciles, divertidos y exigentes de toda la saga.

    Its just bonza! Wow they really made a special game here. Nostalgia is a powerful thing but truly this is on par or better than Super Metroid. The great quality of life improvements and balance of difficulty is just all the right ingredients. Watch out Metroidvania games, the Queen is back!

    I can’t believe I’m finally playing a new metroid game! The controls and movement are actually really fun. After you get used to the movement style and can start jumping and maneuvering quickly it becomes a lot more fun.

    This is the best 2D Metroid I have every played. If you liked Samus returns you will love this one. Movement is amazing and there is a lot of puzzles to solve that require you to use it.
    E.M.M.I always bring something fun and interesting as they all have a certain gimmick you need to understand and play around.
    But where this game truly shines is the Boss battles god they are fun,    This is the best 2D Metroid I have every played. If you liked Samus returns you will love this one. Movement is amazing and there is a lot of puzzles to solve that require you to use it.

    There are actually songs too, lots of, and they are sooo good. They are growing on me very fast and on the top list of Metroid songs

    -The map design it's perfect too. How can you fulfill super Metroid hardcore fans with it's ultra criptic map, and encourage newcomers to finish that kind of experience? Mind-blowing too. It didn't take much long for me to know the routes cuz I'm a ultra Metroid fanboy jaja but I understand the direction they went and I'm happy about it. Now in 2021 everyone can become a Metroid fan! And That's what Samus needs

    I am loving this game so far.
    This is the second metroid game I have played so far, the first being super metroid, and all I could say is that this game is so good. The bosses are some of the best bosses I have encountered in any 2d game and the music is very good designed and changes a lot more then in super metroid or other metroid venia's.     The game is just awesome! The game design we all know from metroid games is back with a fresh stealth touch that made it so much more fun! Visuals, movement, ambience everything is great! My only complain is with the soundtrack. Despite not being bad, it`s just not so epic as in previous entries. But nothing that change my opinion after all. Metroid dread is a must play!

    Ya tocaba un juego en nintendo switch de temática más seria, y que mejor forma que hacerlo con Metroid Dread. Un juego que conserva las mecánicas de los primeros y a su vez con mejoras jugables y visuales. Se siente totalmente Metroid no ha perdido un ápice de su esencia.

    Supera con facilidad las expectativas de quien lo juegue.

    Han sabido perfectamente captar la idea de cómo debe ser un juego 2D, como los de antaño, creando una sensación de nostalgia a la vez que de novedad, al haber sabido implantar novedades manteniendo esa sensación a “juego de los de antes”. Jugablemente se siente exquisito, con una movilidad y soltura envidiables, haciéndose frenético en su    Grandísimo juego de la mano de MercurySteam.

    Una obra maestra. Jugabilidad exquisita para el metroid más dinámico y fluido de todos. Posible candidato al goty, por méritos propios. Jugar este juego en la nueva switch oled es algo totalmente indescriptible. Sin duda, estás entregas de metroid en 2d deberían de quedarse en manos de Mercury Steam para siempre.

    Me encanta el juego y su profundidad, la atmósfera está conseguida como los títulos anteriores y los paisajes de fondos son muy animado llegando al punto de creer que se acercan los bichos.

    El brillo de la armadura es excelente y la trama de la historia de sobrevivir me gusta.

    Desde el primer momento que mueves a Samus sabrás que jugarlo será genial. Es un juego difícil , pero con cada boss superado, secreto descubierto, camino encontrado y retó superado te recompensa el esfuerzo. Y si hay un modos de dificultad. Difícil y Muy difícil, lol. Este juego me recordó todos los juegos anteriores, pero con mecánicas pulidas al extremo. Totalmente recomendable!!

    Me quedo sin palabras ante el regreso de mi caza recompensas favorita, Samus Aran. Excelente trabajo que han realizado Nintendo y Mercury Steam. Los movimientos de Samus son muy fluidos, controles adecuados. Desde el comienzo del juego te atrapa por la inmersión que te da y esto es muy importante, no deja de ser un Metroid. En muchos de los casos debes estar atento de como avanzar y eso esMe quedo sin palabras ante el regreso de mi caza recompensas favorita, Samus Aran.     Great game all around. Visuals, Frame rate and sound. Only complaint is that the controls are hard to get used to. Definitely up there with BOTW and some of the other greats specifically made for the the Switch.

    This was my first Metroid and it's so good that it immediately made me want to play more. The tough but fair difficulty, awesome story, top-notch level design and progression, and some of the best boss battles I've ever played, these were some of the best 13 hours that I've spent on a video game. if you own a Switch, buy this. 10/10

    This was the best Metroid game I've ever played, the story is amazing!!! The gameplay is fluid! And overall this game was the most fun I've ever had playing a video game! I can't wait to see what Nintendo has in-store going forward for the series!!

    Una absoluta obra maestra desde el gameplay, controles, gráficos y banda sonora de los mejores juegos que han salido en Nintendo Switch muy recomendable.     Mejor Metroid 2D hasta la fecha, MercurySteam lo ha dado todo para ofrecernos una de las mejores experiencias que la Switch tiene para ofrecer. Te hace usar todas tus habilidades en combate, y lo hace de forma satisfactoria. Está diseñado de manera que te premia por realizar "sequence breaking", algo que muchos fans de la saga valoran. La pelea final es una delicia.

    Im in love with this game, Mercury Steam didn't stutter making a game with a difficulty that not everyone can handle and at the same time, it doesn't feel over the top difficult. The world is complex, well design, love the backgrounds and environments, music and cutscenes, the final boss really is the Cherry on top!! 10/10 for Metroidvannia fans!

    Por no hablar de la cantidad de lore que hay.
    La dificultad está un poco desbalanceada pues morir fuera de los jefes y las zonas emmi es casi imposible. Y los propios jefes ,no son difíciles, pero si necesitan varios intentos,    Sin duda el mejor juego 2D de la saga.     ¿Qué puedo decir? El juego ha sido una sorpresa para mi. Mis expectativas eran altas, porque debía ser la continuación de Metroid Fusion, y aún así Nintendo pudo superarlas. Tengo que comenzar con la agilidad increíble de Samus, es tan veloz que recorrer los mundos es una experiencia que supera la de las anteriores entregas. Las animaciones son muy pulidas y el juego está bastante¿Qué puedo decir? El juego ha sido una sorpresa para mi. Mis expectativas eran altas, porque debía ser la continuación de Metroid Fusion, y aún así Nintendo pudo superarlas. Tengo que comenzar con la agilidad increíble de Samus, es tan veloz que recorrer los mundos es una experiencia que supera la de las anteriores entregas. Las animaciones son muy pulidas y el juego está bastante optimizado porque se mantiene en 60fps en todo momento, excepto en algunas cinemáticas, que son espectaculares. El diseño de niveles es una obra maestra, su forma laberíntica se une con la agilidad de Samus para ofrecer una jugabilidad pocas veces vista. En cuanto a los mundos, me sentía constantemente perdido en un mundo alienígena debido a su complejidad, pero creo que ha sido una sensación que me gustó bastante: aunque estaba extraviado, nunca quedé atrapado sin poder avanzar. El juego muy sutilmente te va abriendo los caminos para que la exploración nunca cese. El estilo artístico es fenomenal. En cuanto a los E.M.M.I., son una de las partes más interesantes de esta entrega, como su propio nombre lo dice: Terror. No es necesariamente horror, sino terror de ser asesinado instantáneamente, pero huir de ellos es muy emocionante; es como el SA-X pero con muchísima más importancia, no son un enemigo lejano, sino que constante en las zonas que controlan. Y no solo se trata de correr, sino de ser estratégico, porque hay que resolver acertijos al mismo tiempo que escapas por tu vida. Simplemente fascinante. En cuanto a los demás jefes, debo confesar que son bastante difíciles, a pesar de ser experimentado en el género, han sido un desafío, lo que hace al juego divertido y nada genérico. Por último, me ha gustado cómo Samus Aran es presentada en este juego: la mera jefa de todos (por no usar otra expresión). Han reconstruido su personalidad como siempre la habíamos imaginado, un personaje empoderado que no le tiene miedo a nada, ni duda dos veces antes de acabar con las amenazas. La historia tiene un fin satisfactorio, no digo más para que lo descubras tú mismo. Es una obra de arte, le doy 97… Expand

    Gran final para el arco argumental de Samus con los metroid, excelente jugabilidad y un diseño artístico a la altura, Mercury Steam hizo un gran trabajo con este juego mejorando lo logrado con Samus returns, totalmente recomiendo comprar el juego.

    This is basically my first metroid game and all I can say is WOW it's so fun, I was worried that this game would be very hard to new comers but I'm able to manage and make my way through the game the exploration is top notch and the upgrades are so satisfying so worth it

    Soy de Chile, no soy muy fan de Metroid, pero le tengo cariño desde que jugué al Super Metroid, esperaba con ansias poder sentir la experiencia del pasado y me apunté. Me sorprendió la jugabilidad y la atmosfera que brinda la Banda Sonora. Sinceramente me parece el juego un poco corto y la verdad nunca te puedes perder, pero se compensa con la tensión que generan las zonas E.M.M.I.

    The title is simply amazing. I raised playing Fusion and Zero Mission over and over again with 6 years old and, in Dread, I felt like I was enjoying those years again. The control is so satisfactory and the counter-attacks have a good reaction time. The narrative is at top level like the scenario designs. The only bad thing I could say it's that I finished the game and I only remember theThe title is simply amazing.     After almost 20 years we finally have a sequel to the 2D series of Metroid games! Considering that, Dread does a great job of combining the new modern combat with the old elements of research and advancement, and it doesn't hurt that we have some of the best boss fights in the series. A true gem and a must have for all Switch gamers.
