    O game não supera o Super Metroid e acredito que superar o Metroid no SNES é algo que nunca vai acontecer. Mas metroid dread é excelente em termos graficos, historia, jogabilidade e dificuldade. Meu ponto negativo fica em relação a sua trilha sonora que deixa a desejar.

    Primera vez que juego un Metroid y me he llevado una experiencia estupeda. Merece mas puntuacion y que sea muy recomendado para que mas gente le de oportunidad a este gran juego.

    Game of the year; plain and simple. Believe the hype if you are even a 1% fan of metroidvania's. What a game, an experience, with one of the best and satisfying epilogues I have ever played.

    Metroid Dread es uno de esos juegos que te enganchan desde el inicio, no quería que el juego se terminara. En comparación de otras sagas de Metroid en 2D, Dread dispone de múltiples mapas gigantes con muchos secretos escondidos entre sus paredes, unos jefes formidables y una historia que te sorprende a cada momento.

    I never was the biggest fan of the Metroid series, I only played Fusion and I liked it. I never actually finished Super Metroid, and had a long time without playing any Metroid game, but I'm really enjoying Dread a lot. I love Metroidvania games, and this is a must have, honestly it would seem like I'm exaggerating, but the gameplay, music and aesthetic makes this game a Goty contender, noI never was the biggest fan of the Metroid series, I only played Fusion and I liked it.     Great game from a great Studio.
    I loved "old" style metroids and this one allows me to remember old days while living a new and modern experience.

    Finally 2021 has a clear winner for Game of the Year, this is the best metroidvania ever made, yes even better than Hollow knight and Ori and the Will of Wisps; and in my opinion the best switch game ever made.

    This is definitely my goty, and maybe my new favorite metroid game.

    Dread is hard, the hardest in the franchise, but it never felt unfair. The controls felt a bit wonky at first, but after some time to get used to them, it feels so smooth to control samus.

    Must buy for all switch owners.

    This game is great. The controls are tight, the movement is smooth, and the music is great. The bosses will truly challenge you, and there's plenty of backtracking to do. I absolutely fell in love with this game, and I'm glad I got to enjoy it as a metroid fan. I did emulate this game, however, I bought the game just to show support for metroid. Having said that and putting over 45 hours into Metroid Dread and finishing it twice, it's safe to say that it is officially the best game in the series hands down. Yes it's better than Super Metroid and Fusion. Sorry not sorry but it is. It's fast, its fluid, the controls are perfect, the graphics are amazing, the story is the best it has ever been and has a great plot twist at the end. I wont give spoilers and ruin it for anyone but the complaints are just ridiculous and they either didn't play at all and give it a chance or they didn't take the time to get good at it. 100% this game is the hardest one in the series. YES it is challenging, yes you have to practice boss fights and get good as they say, but i can tell you with 100% certainty not one part of this game is unfair at any point. period. The game is amazing and i will continue to replay it several years from now whenever i get the itch to revisit it which will be a lot.… Expand

    Maybe the best Metroid ever! I’m a huge fan of the series, but this new iteration is something special. They truly nailed it! It’s not as much of a reinvention of the franchise as I had suspected it would be, for better or worse.

    Mechanics: the controls here are maybe the tightest I’ve seen in any game. Everything feels responsive and exact. I only really found myself fumbling with the    Maybe the best Metroid ever! I’m a huge fan of the series, but this new iteration is something special. They truly nailed it! It’s not as much of a reinvention of the franchise as I had suspected it would be, for better or worse.

    Mechanics: the controls here are maybe the tightest I’ve seen in any game. Everything feels responsive and exact. I only really found myself fumbling with the controls when during puzzles requiring very quick execution of the more advanced actions, which is fine because it’s intentional so. Overall, I was extremely pleased with how precisely and immediately Samus’ movements responds to input. The animations for Samus are fluid and much appreciated!

    Upgrades: We saw the return of the series’ staples, as well as some really nice new gear. There were a few upgrades that I found lackluster, but still a very strong set. I appreciated that the very last major upgrade was the item that it was, rather than stacking the coolest gear at the end (as Prime 3 did).

    Emmis: I really loved these things! They were genuinely thrilling to deal with, but didn’t feel totally unreasonable either. I did find on my second playthrough (switched to hard) that avoiding them had become too easy. It’s difficult to implement such an enemy, and still have them feel threatening, given how extremely maneuverable Samus is. So, given that, I don’t know how they could have improved them without compromising on making it cheap/unfair.

    Environments: This is truly a beautiful game; the lighting and aesthetics are splendid. The water effects in particular stand out. Overall the mood and atmosphere of the environments are well developed and full, which is common in Metroid games. I did find that I never wondered where to go/what to do next, which was a bit disappointing, but probably necessary to aid newcomers to the series. Music is also very fitting.

    Story: I quite liked it, although some of the choices made went against the grain for me as a long time fan.

    Overall an excellent entry in a series that has set a very high bar! I’ve honestly never played a more flawless game: they got everything just right! Highly recommend.    … Expand

    This game has to be one of the best if not the best 2D Metroid game to ever exist, from fluid gameplay, to story to amazing graphics this game deserves an even higher score than what's given, because of the sheer level of different ways players can play the game and beat certain levels before others and there's multiple ways to beat it and not just one mundane path to victory.     Metroid Dread was my first Metroid game, and without a doubt it has peaked my interest in the Metroid series. This game is fun, thrilling and action packed. However, this game is extremely hard, and I **** love it. Every death never felt like the games fault, and that’s extremely important. And with all that said I’m off to play the rest of the Metroid games

    Gran juego, definitivamente superó las expectativas. tiene una atmosfera envolvente que personalmente, me rememora mucho a mi infancia con los primeros juegos de la franquicia, con respecto al apartado sonoro y gráfico no hay mas que decir, no te llevarás ninguna decepción.     This is a long awaited game in the Metroid series and as a huge fan of the series this is amazing. The graphics and art style look great and the gameplay is fun and challenging. The game once again has you exploring for upgrades and abilities plus there is many secrets to find. I see the game is getting a lot of hate here but the main problem seems to be the difficulty for some people.     Metroid Dread is exactly what a Metroid fan is looking for but better. It's new mechanics keep Metroid relevant in the search action games. It's probably harder than previous releases but it doesn't feels unfair. Definitely a must play game if you are a fan of Metroid and search action game in general.

    This game is **** perfect. I played Zero Mission afterwards and I plan playing the Metroid Prime trilogy. This game made me a Metroid fan.
    It's not too easy and not too difficult and if you disagree, you can just switch to another difficulty.

    As a 47 year old, who played the original Metroid when I was 12, and has considered Super Metroid one of my all time favorite games, I can say this is better! Hands down a must play game for any true gamer… who can appreciate a very well balanced challenge. This is what gaming is about! No difficulty setting nonsense… just the perfect difficulty setting from the start.     I have played a lot of metroidvanias and this one is my new favorite. Definitely feels like a $60 game when compared to some indie metroidvanias. I really enjoyed the variety in abilities and enemies and the environment is interesting and dynamic too.

    This is among the best Metroid games. The game uses clever tricks to reduce your risk of getting lost, without hindering your exploration, Samus moves quickly and all of her moves are easier to pull off. The quality of life changes are contrasted with difficult boss fights, gorgeous environments, and a better story than you normally get with aetroid game. Aust play for fans of Metroidvanias

    Hace 8 años conocí Super Metroid. El juego que me haría conocer la saga, y desde entonces jugué el resto y espere pacientemente por una nueva entrega. La emoción que me ha hecho sentir este juego al tenerlo por fin en mis manos es indescriptible, no me imagino como se sentirán los fans más veteranos de la saga. El control y la respuesta del mismo, la movilidad y la fluidez, el sigiloHace 8 años conocí Super Metroid. El juego que me haría conocer la saga, y desde entonces jugué el resto y espere pacientemente por una nueva entrega. La emoción que me ha hecho sentir este juego al tenerlo por fin en mis manos es indescriptible, no me imagino como se sentirán los fans más veteranos de la saga. El control y la respuesta del mismo, la movilidad y la fluidez, el sigilo (quizá el único aspecto a mejorar, pero aun así, muy disfrutable). He llorado de la alegría con este juego, y no puedo hacer más que darle un 10 personalmente. Para quiénes no hayan jugado un metroid, quizá no os parezca tan bueno, pero de todas formas, objetivamente, es un juego muy pulido.… Expand

    It is a hard game, specially because of the E.M.M.I chases, because they are smart (I remember one coming from behind when I was aiming forward with the omega cannon to get rid of it), but the controls and agility of    One of the best Metroid ever.     I picked up Metroid Dread at GameStop and it’s an easy 10 out of 10. I played 3 hours of super Metroid but otherwise this was my first experience with any type of metroidvania and if you didn’t pick the game up. This is an easy recommendation.

    Metroid Dread makes great use of Samus's growing arsenal and moveset to fly through environment and fight a large host of creative and interesting bosses. Unlike most other titles in this line, there is a heavy emphasis on the changing environment of ZDR. Passaged will open or close, region ecologies will change in small and dramatic ways. It is not as expansive as Super Metroid, butMetroid Dread makes great use of Samus's growing arsenal and moveset to fly through environment and fight a large host of creative and interesting bosses. It is not as expansive as Super Metroid, but Dread makes much better use of everything Samus is capable of.

    It is also probably both the most challenging and accessible title of the series. The game wants you to learn it and do well. I look forward to replaying this as often as I do Super Metroid.

    A note on the story too: I never cared much about the plot of the series, but I always enjoyed the character designs. Dread does an excellent job of wrapping up the plot arc while also elevated the previous games by retroactively creating an amazing finale to build up to. It also helps make the thematic changes started in Fusion even more fantastic. Unlike it's inspiration, Alien, Metroids are part of a galactic ecosystem, and just like in real life, destroying a predator can dramatically change the environment in unpredictable ways. Dread certainly keeps up with that tradition while opening up some clever options for future games.    … Expand

    Le jeu mérite clairement un 10, c'est la renaissance de la franchise Metroid. Dread est juste parfait dans tout les sens du terme. Excellente durée de vie, nerveux, très bon gameplay,.... tout ce qu'on veut retrouver dans un Metroidvania digne de ce nom.
    Dommage cependant qu'il y ait des abrutis qui s'amusent à troll en mettant des notes basses qui ne sont, bien évidemment et clairement    Le jeu mérite clairement un 10, c'est la renaissance de la franchise Metroid.     This "game", is game of the year, I'm gonna keep this short and sweet, yes there are changes from traditional Metroid games, free movement, parry, E.M.M.I. encounters, and more elaborate cinematic moments. All these add to the games existing systems however. This game is massive, to get everything opened up for items and map, takes some time. But so do all metroidvania games. The onlyThis "game", is game of the year, I'm gonna keep this short and sweet, yes there are changes from traditional Metroid games, free movement, parry, E.M.M.I. encounters, and more elaborate cinematic moments. All these add to the games existing systems however. This game is massive, to get everything opened up for items and map, takes some time. But so do all metroidvania games. The only thing I would like to see added to this game is incentive to complete on the higher difficulty. Like in Metroid Samus Returns you get the Fusion suit. Would be nice if they would give a new suit for completing the game. Other than that this game is a 10/10 - Now can't wait for Metroid Prime 4.… Expand

    I want to first start of by saying that this is my very first Metroid game that I have completed and have wanted to complete. I played Super Metroid, but I never felt like actually wanting to beat the game and was super unfocused, so I never beat that game. Now with that out of the way, I want to say that this game is absolutely amazing! Seeing this game be revealed, I knew I wanted it. II want to first start of by saying that this is my very first Metroid game that I have completed and have wanted to complete. I played Super Metroid, but I never felt like actually wanting to beat the game and was super unfocused, so I never beat that game. Now with that out of the way, I want to say that this game is absolutely amazing! Seeing this game be revealed, I knew I wanted it. I was not a Metroid fan before I played the game, but now I feel like I should try to beat every game! It's an absolutely revolutionary title, having gameplay and level design similar to that of older Metroid games (so I have been told by my friends) while also adding in exciting new things to the table.

    First and foremost, the feel of the game is amazing! I cannot stress this enough! Every button feels perfectly mapped, Samus feels amazing to control, and the ease of using all her gadgets feels extremely natural! For those who may have heard a certain game developer say that the game must be played on a Pro Controller, please note that this is not the case and that I played both on gripped Joycons and handheld and the game works best on both. Gameplay consists of jumping and shooting projectiles and enemies while also trying to navigate on where you need to go. Although this can sound boring, it is indeed not, and the feeling of shooting every enemy in sight and focusing on your surroundings to navigate the world is exciting, and this is exactly what kept me hooked to the end.

    Graphically, this game is without a doubt the best looking game on the Switch. I have played this game both on my 4K TV and on handheld (on a launch day Nintendo Switch with 720p display), and they both look absolutely amazing. It's extremely polished, with some boss fights showing some of the best graphics in the game. These moments sometimes look like they rival graphics of games on PS4 Pro or even some PS5 games (although, this one is much more of a stretch).

    The story is very interesting, to say the least. This is my first Metroid game, but I did see a recap video which helped me catch up. For those who want to experience the complete story before playing this game, please note that this is the fifth game in the main timeline and that there are 7 other games that you should play if you really want to experience the complete story (I will link an image to the timeline at the bottom of this review). There are not many story cutscenes in the game, and yet the story is as engaging and action-packed as I anticipated.

    Finally, I want to say that this game is insanely difficult. I will not get into the details of what makes this game hard, but it is definitely the type of game that requires prior Metroidvania experience if you want to beat it with no sweat. That is the same type of experience that I didn't have, and yet I beat it. It took me a long 13 hours (as stated by my game file), but it was all worth it. The hard difficulty of the game is pretty basic for how most hard modes are (the usual take more damage, cause more damage), and yet it still felt a lot different from the normal difficulty. I constantly found myself being more careful around enemies when in hard mode.

    Overall, this game is one of the best games on the Switch, and one of the best games I have ever played. This is a crowning achievement of how a modern 2D platform-shooter should be made and how a game should be made.    … Expand

    I'm a player that enjoys story heavy games, but I had to try Metroid dread. I got the game 2 days early. Finished it just now. Robots chasing you were really good. Loved how good the movement and bosses were. Combate Is really rewarding. Some bosses were tough but felt great when I finally got them. Art Style Is cool. Enjoyed the genre.     I loved Metroid Fusion, so I had high expectation for Metroid Dread. This game did not disappoint. Best game I’ve player in a while, totally worth $60. It was also fairly difficult, which was great, as some Nintendo games are really really easy.

    Pretty darn cool, it's a great return to the Metroid main series and does just about everything you would want out of it. Very polished and looks great, with silky smooth gameplay. Biggest graphical issue is the cutscenes having half the framerate of the actual game, but that's just a nitpick.

    Metroid Dread is a game I have personally been interested in ever since I learned about its (then debated) existence ten years ago. I have always been a Metroid fan ever since I was seven years old playing "Zero Mission" and "Fusion". Those were the last two traditional games we would get for a very long time until 2017's "Samus Returns", and one of those two (Fusion) was the last originalMetroid Dread is a game I have personally been interested in ever since I learned about its (then debated) existence ten years ago. I have always been a Metroid fan ever since I was seven years old playing "Zero Mission" and "Fusion". Those were the last two traditional games we would get for a very long time until 2017's "Samus Returns", and one of those two (Fusion) was the last original 2d game to release. Fast forward ten years from that point, and I find myself at age 17, final year of high school, and finally a new, shiny, original 2d Metroid game, and even though much time has passed since I first played "Fusion" and "Zero Mission", Dread threw me back into the shoes of seven-year old me. I was over the moon just hearing about a new game, let alone Dread, would release in 2021, and the excitement has only grown after my play-through of the game. The graphics are stunning, the gameplay is refined and perfected, the level design is complex and intelligent. As an experienced Metroid player, I found myself amazed yet equally perplexed at the world around Samus as I tried to find my war around the rich caverns below ZDR's surface. The game is one of true open-ended fun, rarely holding your hand, and when it does, it is done so in such a subtle way I never even realized I was being guided. The bosses in the game can range from either complete pushovers in the beginning (except for some repeat bosses) to complete brick walls in which I found myself dying and repeating boss fights multiple times. The EMMI (killer robots) serve a satisfying purpose in keeping the player on their toes and DREADing (haha nailed that one) the next encounter the player may have with one of these EMMI. The story I will not go into, but seeing all the story-related events unfold sent so much joy into me and so many cheers out of my mouth. The story serves a great purpose but never gets in the way of progression or gameplay. Finally, the uprages the player can receive all have an important purpose and are used in very thought-out methods. One minor complaint I had was how some bosses were repetitive, but then I stopped to think why there were multiples of these bosses, and that's when things made sense. It's hard to make a review like this without spoiling major or even minor plot points of the story, so I will leave you with this: Be ready to retrace your steps MULTIPLE times, and be prepared to be surprised as well. In my opinion, Metroid Dread is the perfect Metroid game, the best game Nintendo has ever made, and, remember this just my opinion, the best game I have ever played. Metroid Dread was the long awaited and perfect follow up to Fusion as well as a fitting and wonderful conclusion to the Metroid Saga. Where will Samus go next and what else may step in her way? We don't know what the future holds, but for now, let us let out a sigh of relief in knowing that Metroid is back and better than ever. Metroid Dread gets a perfect 10/10 in my eyes.     The best 2d metroid since Super Metroid. This is an entry made with Metroid purists in mind, who didn't like the narrative heavy and linear elements of Fusion. The game drops you in the middle of the map, and, outside of some brief cutscenes, leaves you to your own devices to explore the way it should be.

    It's hard to top Super Metroid, but this is another classic Metroid game. In my opinion this is a hybrid of Super Metroid and Fusion. The exploration is great. Movement is fluid. The boss battles are challenging at first but fair. The final boss is my favorite in all of 2D Metroid. Metroid Dread was worth the wait.

    My first Metroid game. Beautiful, fluid, and I’ve never felt more badass playing a game before. It’s difficult but incredibly satisfying.

    A masterpiece indeed. From the first time you olay it until the credit rolls you will be attached to the screen. Definitely my favorite 2D Metroid yet.

    After almost 20 years we finally have a sequel to the 2D series of Metroid games! Considering that, Dread does a great job of combining the new modern combat with the old elements of research and advancement, and it doesn't hurt that we have some of the best boss fights in the series. A true gem and a must have for all Switch gamers.

    Taking up the torch of a series interrupted nineteen years ago is never an easy task, but the MercurySteam studio is doing it with honors! The developers have chosen the path of security while perfectly respecting the spirit of the previous episodes, to the detriment of true modernity.
