    Eu estou tão apaixonado com esse jogo. Já fazem 10 horas de um gameplay complexo, desafiador, inovador e divertido.
    O game está muito bem polido e acabado, estou muito satisfeito com o jogo, estou torcendo para durar muitas e muitas horas!!!

    Wow. As a life long metroid fan this game is the perfect culmination of the 2D series. The gameplay is fast and fluid with tight control. It feels better then any other metroid game. The game is hands off and lets you figure out where to go and how to get there. The environments are varied and interesting and its got classic metroid music. And oh yeah the ending is incredible.     I could not have hoped for a better experience with any Metroidvania, let alone an actual Metroid game. They got this so right. The movement is amazingly fluid, the controls are great, the level design is nothing short of genius, and the atmosphere holds its own when comparing to even the best entries in the series. Sleek and smooth controls, stylish and engaging visuals with many areas having so much going on in the background, challenging bosses that are a thrill to learn, and sheer panic and dread from having to face off sgainst the robotic EMMIs you've probably already heard about.

    If you are a Metroid fan, or have got    Masterpiece doesn't even begin to describe how fantastic of a game this is.     Even tough this is my first Metroid game, I absolutely cannot wait to play the other games if they're all of the same phenomenal quality as Metroid Dread, with it's amazing level design, Challenging but fun bosses and it's ability to convey a story in such few words.

    The controls are tight, plenty of moves and tools and ways to combine them, but also a high learning curve that goes with it. It feels very rewarding once you mastered your movement and learned the patterns of your enemies.     I loved the bosses, first they seems impossible, after a while you're dodging and parrying everything they can throw at you.

    Music, graphics and atmosphere are outstanding.

    Sequence breaking of course is a thing in this game.

    CONS:

    You're often locked in an area you're supposed to progress, when I thought I'd rather go back and get some items or explore somewhere else, before I want to progress.

    No button remapping, colorblind mode, or other accessibility options.

    If you struggle with complex controls and movements, or have trouble with staying orientated on a map, this game may not be for you.

    You also probably should know what a Metroidvania type of game is, judging from other reviews here. Also, don't buy it if you can't handle dying and learing from your mistakes.    … Expand

    This game is well made. I love how challenging the boss battles are, It makes you think strategy than shooting sporadically. A great way of making it challenging for people looking for something not overly easy or complicated. For those flagging this game with zero stars don't pay attention to them. They're paid trolls, who will stop at nothing to discredit the good works of the developers.

That sense of momentum is something previous games lacked - deliberately, I'd say, but they still lacked it.

    The way the game gently leads you to the 'right' path is absolutely expert. I only got properly lost once and that was because I did something that, looking back, was very clearly sequence breaking. Once I went back to where I was 'supposed' to be, I moved on soon after. This is one of the best areas of the game, but it's hard to explain quite how it does this so well. You have, of course, almost total freedom, and can revisit almost any area at almost any time. However, it's also almost always obvious roughly in which area the next continuation path is located. This aspect of the game is brilliantly done.

    The EMMI sections are well done. They're tense encounters and the satisfaction of beating each one is always very real. They border on getting repetitive but never quite cross the boundary into becoming a negative.

    The visuals are stunning. So many different environments that extend deep into the third dimension and are often filled with life and movement. Some of the wider vistas are incredibly impressive. The game usually has a tight and claustrophobic focus on Samus and her immediate surrounds so on the occasions when it pans out for some grand view, the sense of scale feels magnificent.

    Music adds to the atmosphere wonderfully, and the enemies, bosses and other creatures you encounter are varied both in appearance and in challenge, keeping you constantly on your toes in the best way possible.

    All in all, an incredible experience and one that I suspect will hold up just as well in ten years as it does now, at which point I'd be more confident calling it the literal best 2D Metroid ever.    … Expand

    Fantastic return to the beloved Metroid formula. A massive step up from Samus Returns, introducing a lot of new story elements, great music, atmosphere and fast-paced action which didn't starve me for challenge. Really happy about this one and suggest any Metroid or 2D action game fans to pick this up.

    I already beat it twice and this is my first time playing a metroid game, for me personally level design is soo good. there is element of discovering where u should go next. the elephant in the room is the boss fight, its challenging but still fair, you should use every arsenal you’ve got in order to beat them. Samus is fast fluid and so good to play.     Años sin jugar un Metroid en 2D, y la progresión ha sido estupenda de cara a la quinta entrega de esta saga (sin contar Prime). Dread incorpora una guía mínima como en Fusión, pero en la mayoría de las ocasiones sentirás esa sensación de exploración de las primeras entregas; aunque esto es un tanto ilusorio: pues, el diseño de niveles funciona de tal forma, que casi siempre se te sugiereAños sin jugar un Metroid en 2D, y la progresión ha sido estupenda de cara a la quinta entrega de esta saga (sin contar Prime). Dread incorpora una guía mínima como en Fusión, pero en la mayoría de las ocasiones sentirás esa sensación de exploración de las primeras entregas; aunque esto es un tanto ilusorio: pues, el diseño de niveles funciona de tal forma, que casi siempre se te sugiere el camino a seguir (aunque a lo metroidvania: esto quiere decir, siempre intercalando e interconectando distintos niveles de un gran mapa). Los EMMIS como dinámica jugable son un soplo de aire fresco, aunque su sensación de agobio se podría haber trasladado a cualquier lugar del mapa (y no sólo a las áreas centrales donde habitan estos seres). El resto de jefes y subjefes son variados y muy desafiantes; aunque un poco repetitivos después de unas horas de juego. Terminé el juego en poco menos de 20 hrs., pero ganas de rejugarlo no faltan (apetece mucho en este tipo de juegos). Los powers ups de Samus están muy bien implementados, obligándote a explorar cuando te quedas atrapado con tal de obtener un nuevo poder. A nivel gráfico es muy sobresaliente respecto al resto del catalogo de Switch, y tiene un excelente rendimiento (con algunos bajones de FPS en los combates contra jefes). Su historia es simplemente el broche de oro que necesitaba la saga para finalizar; y es un adorno perfecto para una jugabilidad exquisita y refinada con el pasar de las distintas entregas. Dread es la versión definitiva de Samus, y sin lugar a dudas el mejor Metroid en 2D.… Expand

Sin embargo presenta pequeños fallos que lo hacen en perspectiva, desmerecer si lo comparamos con un juego redondo    La espera mereció la pena...
    Metroid Dread (o "Metroid Mal Rollito", que deberia ser la autentica traducción al castellano) innova en múltiples aspectos, adquiriendo su particular personalidad que lo diferencia del resto de entregas de la saga sin dejar de pertenecer a ella. Sin embargo presenta pequeños fallos que lo hacen en perspectiva, desmerecer si lo comparamos con un juego redondo como super metroid.
    Parte de estos puntos débiles se notan sobre todo más al comienzo (donde se siente más un juego de 8-9), desapareciendo en su mayor parte acabando de manera apoteósica el juego con un merecido 10.
    Este es sin duda el juego más laberíntico de toda la saga (o de cualquier metroidvania creado), con escenarios orgánicos, que cambiaran conforme nuestras acciones o el avance del juego, contribuyendo más aun a la sensación de estar completamente perdido.
    Algo que hace muy bien el juego es transmitirnos sensación de impotencia y desorientación, desde la amnesia parcial de Samus que nos grita a la cara que algo no cuadra, a la desorientación en los escenarios, a los continuos encuentros letales con los EMMIS... bordando la atmósfera, que es lo principal que se espera de un metroid. De hecho creo que esta sensación de "mal rollito" esta mucho mejor conseguida que en muchos "survival horrors".
    Los controles son mucho más fluidos y ágiles, buscando atraer nuevas audiencias. Los jefes, de los más impresionantes de la saga, etc.
    Una cosa en la que falla, es en enseñarnos ciertas mecánicas a través del gameplay. Toda mecánica nueva de dread si que nos es enseñada de manera gradual e inteligente (por ejemplo el utilizar el entorno a la hora de enfrentarnos a los EMMIS), pero para las técnicas avanzadas que se heredan de super metroid... o bien jugaste a él y las conoces, o acabaras recurriendo a alguna guía que las explique (no son necesarias para completar el juego, pero si para alcanzar ciertos tanques de energía y misiles).
    También decir que el juego presenta al menos dos partes vagamente diferenciadas: una primera donde esa sensación de "dread" es mucho más acuciante, y una segunda parte donde nos sentiremos mucho más poderosos y capaces y tendremos mayor control sobre las situaciones y menores preocupaciones por las amenazas.
    Por último mencionar la historia. De gran importancia, nos mantendrá en vilo hasta el final, hasta descubrir la verdad... y dejémoslo ahí porque spoilear la experiencia no es algo agradable. Eso sí, decir que el juego da más de una sorpresa en repetidas ocasiones.
    Para los obsesos por la duración, una primera partida al 100% me llevo 12:22 horas. Ahora me quedara completar el juego en difícil e intentar superar los logros de tiempo para desbloquear todo). Los metroid nunca han sido juegos largos porque su punto fuerte es su rejugabilidad (y ser carne de cañón para speedruners), pero creo que este cumple de sobra con su duración básica.
    Incluso si solo tenéis pensado jugar una vez, creo que merece la pena solo por la experiencia probar "Metroid Mal Rollito".    … Expand

    What a great game, I don't usually give games a 10 but this is easily right behind super Metroid in my eyes and is better than fusion by a lot, my only grudge with the game is that its kind of linear but there is already a ton of sequence breaking you can do which makes up for it

Una cantidad de jefes mas que aceptable con una dificultad que se siente acorde a los tiempos actuales. Quizás el apartado mas flojo del juego es la música y aun así es bastante memorable.     This game became one of my top 3 Metroid games. It’s a return to who samus is, a return to exploration. You will have to think hard to figure out puzzles but you will feel excited when you find out what to do. I loved the bosses, the surprises, everything!!!!!

    La verdad es un juegaso tanto a mi como a mi hijo de 13 años nos encanto el juego esta genial, muy entretenido, muchas cosas por descubrir y una buena dificultad, con lo de los EMMI puff esta genial le da un buen punto de dificultad y tensión al juego la verdad se aventaron un gran juego los de Nintendo y MercurySteam

    Fluid controls, High difficulty curve after the halfway point, but it’s not impossible, making the experience much more satisfying after a challenge. My favorite Metroid to date is probably this one. Would recommend to spend the $60 on this.

    Metroid Dread provides a masterful expansion of the classic formula which has hasn't seen a new release in about 20 years. The game looks and runs great overall, the attention to detail in the environments is seriously impressive. The sound design and music is also very effective at creating the unsettling atmosphere that permeates throughout the duration of playtime. The exploration is very well designed, you never feel as though the game is holding your hand, as the level design itself subtly guides the player to the critical path. Difficulty balance is another strong point, the game is certainly challenging, but is never unfair; the addition of checkpoints directly before boss fights and E.M.M.I. encounters saves a lot of time in backtracking and is a great quality-of-life improvement. The storytelling is probably the best in the Metroid series so far, cutscenes and plot are placed very deliberately throughout, and never feel like they get in the way of gameplay. The length feels just about perfect, there's more than enough content here and it never feels as though Dread has any real bloat. The game does end a bit abruptly, but this is a well established series trope, so it's not really a big deal.     El juego es excelente. Tiene un diseño de niveles muy bueno y el control de Samus es fluido y gratificante. Es el Metroid más desafiante y a la vez el más adictivo. A nivel artístico me gusta mucho y se ve de lujo. Es muy inmersivo además de tener un framerate muy estable. Nintendo y Mercury Steam han hecho un grandísimo trabajo. Es un digno sucesor del legendario Super Metroid.

    Metroid Dread is, no doubt, one of the best metroidvania games. It's incredibly smooth and the main moveset has a great variety of abilities. It's also more challenging than other games in the series, but fair. It's scaling is designed as it should be. The map has an excellent design as well. I think it's a must play and one of the best Nintendo Games in general.

    Samus esta melhor que nunca, porém o jogo é muito difícil, mas compensador.

    It’s fantastic. Everything I wanted and more. Cudos to Mercury Steam. Amazing gameplay, terrific boss battles and suspenseful EMMI sequences make for a varied, atmospheric experience. The classic metroid elements shine anew in this gem of a game.

    Its an amazing Metroid entry that really opens up on lore and story while retaining the classic Metroid gameplay.

    Samus moves and controls like a dream and that's good considering this is a tough game.Not hollowknight hard but it is more difficult than other entries.

    You do get better and better and the repeatability is honestly pretty high and will have you moving the difficulty up.

    First time playing a metroid game and I just beat it. This game is amazing. It’s a little difficult and you will die a few times trying to figure out the boss patterns but it’s not unreasonable.

    This is actually my first metroid, but not my first "metroidvania", I just learned about the genre with hollow knight and ori. It is also my first 1st party game of the genre and I must say that the quality is notorious. I'm just getting to know the lore and it's incredible. It will definitely make me go back to the previous installments.     It is the original "Metroidvania" genre franchise. Great enviroments. It keeps you awake all the time. The mystery of the areas and EMMI's are beautifully well made. Boss sequences are amazings. The new mechanics are outstanding! Simply a masterpiece. The queen is back!!

    Honestly when I got the game I didn’t know what to expect. I played the Metroid Prime games and a bit of older Metroid 2d games. I knew it would be good but wow..it really is a GOTY contender.

    Me encanta todo sobre este juego, su ritmo rápido y ágil, la música atmosférica, las impresionantes imágenes y su historia nueva y ampliada. Todo va muy bien con la franquicia, y no esperaba amar este juego lo suficiente como para que se convirtiera en un de mis juegos favoritos de todos los tiempos. Pero así es !!!

    The world and exploration are top of the line. This is coming from someone who's played Hollow Knight, Ori, and most Metroids. It    I was not expecting this game to be a masterpiece. Having played Samus Returns and thinking it was okay, while I was very excited for Dread, I was a little wary. Everything took time to grow on me. But once it did, oh boy was it an incredible experience.

    The world and exploration are top of the line. This is coming from someone who's played Hollow Knight, Ori, and most Metroids. It almost beats Super Metroid in terms of pure exploration. For 99% of the game, you are alone and out in the open. You make your own way through the vast, huge world, with no markers or signs to guide you. You are very slightly guided by your computer, ADAM, but this only happens a couple of times in the game, and the hints he gives you are very vague. And the world of ZDR is fantastic itself. The way things link together with new paths opening left and right is genius. I especially want to shout out to the people who worked on the world, because it is so, so good.

    The movement in this game is phenomenal. Controlling Samus is a dream, and this game sports the best controls and movement out of any Metroid game prior. It takes what Super, Fusion, and Samus Returns built and expands it in a remarkable way. Plus with new additions like the slide and dash melee, it just adds up to a great control set.

    The presentation has been a bit of a divisive subject. Some people think the game looks fantastic, while others say it looks like a mobile game. You have to remember that this is running on an almost 5-year-old piece of hardware. It's not going to have the next-gen stuff that a lot of people have been getting used to seeing lately. Yes, this game would have paired great with some sort of Switch Pro, but MercurySteam had to work with what Nintendo gave them, and I think they pulled it off excellently. The lighting and character models are extremely impressive, and areas are filled with a ton of detail that really adds to the overall atmosphere. And don't even get me started on the animations. This is a bit of a hot take, but this may very well be the best-animated game ever, at least from a 2.5D perspective. The animations are just filled with so much fluidity and detail it's ridiculous. I don't think the movement would have been what it is without the animations, it adds so much. The performance was surprisingly good, too. This game kept a solid 60fps about 99% of the time. There were a few random hiccups in my playthrough, but it wasn't super distracting, and it was usually in areas where I didn't need every frame. It would have been nice if it would have been a locked 60 though, but this could be something that they patch later on. I'll update this review if that happens. So overall, I think the team did a great job with what they were given presentation-wise. I would have loved to see this on a more powerful system, though.

    I'm gonna go rapid-fire on the last few things I want to mention, so here we go.

    Bosses: Genuinely some of the best bosses Metroid has ever had. They're all very strategic, difficult, and look great. A lot of them are almost like a puzzle that you need to figure out, and once you do, it's very satisfying.

    EMMI: Overall I was impressed with the EMMI. They led to some extremely tense situations, especially early game when you are pretty underpowered. But the fear and tension go away after a while. They never become a drag or anything, but they're just not as impactful. All and all, though, they were very fun and super satisfying to parry might I add.

    Difficulty: This game is HARD. Like really hard. I was surprised by how difficult it was, especially from a Nintendo game. However, it wasn't too hard to the point where it was unfair or frustrating. They supply you with things like checkpoints to ease the sting a little bit if you die. This game never had me ragequit, which I will admit some games have in the past.

    Story: This will be brief since I don't want to spoil anything, but the story is surprisingly good. Metroid games are usually pretty light on the story, but I was pleased with how this one played out. It hooks you in pretty well and has a very satisfying ending that puts a neat little bow on things.

    Soundtrack: This will be the last thing I touch on. I am a huge soundtrack person. I love video game music, and I think it's a big part of what makes a game special. At first, I was pretty disappointed with Dread's soundtrack. It's a lot of atmospheric, laid-back tunes that I wasn't too keen on at first. But after a while, I could see why they made this decision. The quiet, creepy tunes really add to the atmosphere of this game, and I think they ended up pulling it off.

    Well, I'm running out of characters so I'll wrap this up. I hope I persuaded you to play this game if you were on the fence before. I think fans of the action/ exploration genres will really like it. It has its flaws here and there, but what game doesn't? With all that, I give Metroid Dread a 10/10.     I don't consider myself a Metroid fan by any means, but holy hell did I enjoy every moment of this game. I did NOT expect the difficulty of the bosses or how god damned smoothly you move as Samus. Mercury Steam absolutely nailed the atmosphere, movement, and combat of this game. I've already started my second playthrough and will probably play the game multiple times.

    After almost 20 years we finally have a sequel to the 2D series of Metroid games! Considering that, Dread does a great job of combining the new modern combat with the old elements of research and advancement, and it doesn't hurt that we have some of the best boss fights in the series. A true gem and a must have for all Switch gamers.
