    Stunningly stylish and with an irresistibly kinetic sense of motion, Kamiko is a true gem. It's a quick ride, to be sure, but gorgeous pixel-art visuals, a lush soundtrack and three very different characters with plenty of speedrunning potential make it well worth coming back to. A uniquely appealing, action-packed package for less than the price of a prayer plaque, this is an easy recommendation for any Switch owner.

    A charming little game that melds action and puzzle elements together quite nicely, Kamiko is a pleasure to play and experience. It doesn't last too long, and some of the enemies are rather easy to dispatch - but the different characters and their unique weapons make it a good game to replay, and the speedrun elements add to the fun. Overall it's a great way to spend a few hours, and that cheap launch price definitely doesn't hurt its value any.

    Kamiko is a fun pick-up and play experience, with great visuals, good gameplay, and makes for a fun retro-inspired experience. It’s worth exploring the game with each of the 3 characters just to see how different they actually play, which adds some replay value to the title. If you are looking for an inexpensive game for a weekend playthrough, Kamiko is a good pick.

    If you are looking for a quick game, KAMIKO will absolutely serve will you well. It has all the markings of a great game with entertaining gameplay, sharp visuals and a solid flow. I had fun replaying the four stages and seeing how I could improve over time. That being said, I can easily admit that the game is super short and the levels won't change on future playthroughs. If you have seen the content once, you will know the game inside out. That might a sticking point for some, but the various characters do make it worth your while.

    I absolutely love the colorful art style that makes up the set pieces that themselves tell a story of a forgotten post-apocalyptic world, and the soundtrack is composed of retro-inspired chiptunes.

    Kakimo is arguably a stunning game with its own personality and sense of joy, surprising with that pixel-art visuals. Easy to recommend for any Nintendo Switch owner as its prize is really fair, but we would have liked to have more difficulty and length in the whole adventure.

    Kamiko is a true hidden gem on the Nintendo Switch. With an eye-catching art style and superb soundtrack, it was instant purchase. TheKamiko is a true hidden gem on the Nintendo Switch. With an eye-catching art style and superb soundtrack, it was instant purchase. The gameplay consists of defeating enemies in each level so generate enough SP to successfully light up all Torii Gates. This is not a simple as it seems because there are many puzzles you must solve before getting access to your goal. The combat system is simple but serviceable, with hack and slash mechanics that give a sense of kinetic energy seen in few games. There are 3 different characters to choose from, each with different combat styles. This gives some extra value to the short run time on this game (a few hours) and even includes a speed run timer to add even greater replayability. This short session, speed running approach fits right at home on the Switch as it is a great system daily commuters. The price is only $4.99 in the US, so this eShop exclusive is worth checking out.… Full Review »

There are three characters with different play-styles but with only four levels- I found the enjoyment running out quickly. I completed it with the sword girl and only tried out the other two characters. I will go back and finish it with those two one day but it is just not my cup of tea.

    That being said, I would recommend you buy it if you enjoy this style of game ( it looks excellent by the way) as there is plenty potential for speed-running and plenty of fun to be had for a very low price.    … Full Review »
