Nice game, but very short. Like this reviews... To end Kamiko you need an 1-2 hours of play.
I hope this game will be extended in the future. One of the best indie game i ever played

This is not a simple as it seems because there are many puzzles you must solve before getting access to your goal. The combat system is simple but serviceable, with hack and slash mechanics that give a sense of kinetic energy seen in few games. There are 3 different characters to choose from, each with different combat styles. This gives some extra value to the short run time on this game (a few hours) and even includes a speed run timer to add even greater replayability. This short session, speed running approach fits right at home on the Switch as it is a great system daily commuters. The price is only $4.99 in the US, so this eShop exclusive is worth checking out. This game is fun, simple, and short.

The bright colors and pleasant music and cute enemies all make for a generally pleasant experience, but there's a limited number of mechanics, and you never unlock anything new or interesting -- it's simply a matter of applying the mechanics you have from the start of the game to solve a few puzzles and explore some cute maps. My first playthrough

My first playthrough took me 1 hour and 35 minutes, and I was taking my time. There are three characters, leaving a novel experience of about five hours, tops.

The replay value would be in speedrunning, if you're into that. If you're not, maybe you come back a few months later and play again. Up to you.

Overall: A beautiful game that ended too soon.

Imagine 2D Zelda with the polish of Shovel Knight, and you get a fun, magical game that is totally worth $5. Heck, I spent 1 hour on first level alone (which had a clever boss, might I add!)

Dont list to the person below who said it's not worth $5. I think it's worth $10, and, I hope the expand and offer us more great levels. If they do, Im buying!

Pretty cool game ... it took me just a little over an hour to finish it, which makes it an ideal a quick to play game. The OST is phenomenal in this game. The art style is also adorable. I will be very interested to see a long game with a similar game mechanic.

Such a fun little game for such a small amount of money, I can't imagine why you wouldn't buy it. It's pretty easy and short, but has some replay value with 3 characters. Don't regret this purchase at all.

$5 for about 3 hours of a slash and dash puzzle game? TAKE MY MONEY. each level is fleshed out and features a new mechanic and the game never felt like it was repeating itself. each boss is amazing, except for the final boss'es 2nd form, which was just okay. the game also adds a bit of replay value with the other characters.

This game took 1 hour to complete. However, in that hour, I was more driven, challenged, and enraptured by Kamiko then I recall being in any other $4.99 experience. The replay value is crushingly low, but the 'play value', if you will, is at a record high. Kamiko rewards the player for learning, solving problems, and ignoring the most boring story in video game history.

Great game practically made for speedrunning. I've beaten it 4 times (once with each character and again for fun) and enjoyed it very much. For only $4.99 it is a steal for speedrunners and fans of classic Zelda-esque games. Made me a bit sad to see it just 1 point under positive review feedback. I hope it sells well enough to see a sequel down the road.

Bon joc, amb la possibilitat de jugar els mateixos escenaris però amb fins a 3 personatges diferents amb habilitats diferents... No és el millor joc del món, però trobo que és una idea bastant interessant i amb un preu ultra correcte!!

Short, fast, cheap, beautiful, and with a wonderful music, Kamiko is puzzle adventure game divided in 4 stages. In each stage we have to activate 4 statues and we'll be able to go to the next stage. The first time, I completed it in about 1 or 2 hours. But don't worry, it's extremely re-playable, in fact in each stage we have a chronometer so our goal is to finish the game in the minimumShort, fast, cheap, beautiful, and with a wonderful music, Kamiko is puzzle adventure game divided in 4 stages. Definitely, it's a game focused on speedruns, but everyone might enjoy it. Very recommended.

Kamiko takes clear inspiration from the classic 2D Zelda games. Music and visual are amazing and will bring you back to 90's. I played all three character, because the games is very short. So much fun for a cheap game and boss stages are very cool.

Lost my damn review and can't be bothered writing it again. Great budget game with amazing music. **** colours but all the rest is great.

If you play games for story, then look elsewhere.

This game is highly polished, it feels great, and it’s fun. If that doesn’t earn it a 10, I don’t know what does.
It’s short, but it’s also *cheap*, so no problem there.

Kamiko's quaint, pick-up-and-play nature makes it a fantastic fit on Nintendo's versatile console.

    If you're looking for a traditional top-down action/puzzler to play in short bursts, Kamiko won't disappoint. [Issue #28 – July/August 2017, p. 22]

Kamiko is an accessible and well-designed experience that will put its players frantically trying new tactics in order to finish the game as quickly as possible. This might not sound very groundbreaking but Kamiko certainly provides incentives to its players to try to complete it in a shorter time and its challenging nature means that those who pick it up will have something they can spend some fun hours with.
