Apr 27, 2017Nice game, but very short. Like this reviews... To end Kamiko you need an 1-2 hours of play.
I hope this game will be extended in the future. One of the best indie game i ever played -

Apr 29, 2017Imagine 2D Zelda with the polish of Shovel Knight, and you get a fun, magical game that is totally worth $5. Heck, I spent 1 hour on first level alone (which had a clever boss, might I add!)
Dont list to the person below who said it's not worth $5. I think it's worth $10, and, I hope the expand and offer us more great levels. If they do, Im buying! -
May 3, 2017Pretty cool game ... it took me just a little over an hour to finish it, which makes it an ideal a quick to play game. The OST is phenomenal in this game. The art style is also adorable. I will be very interested to see a long game with a similar game mechanic.

Jun 8, 2017Such a fun little game for such a small amount of money, I can't imagine why you wouldn't buy it. It's pretty easy and short, but has some replay value with 3 characters. Don't regret this purchase at all.

Jun 16, 2017$5 for about 3 hours of a slash and dash puzzle game? TAKE MY MONEY. each level is fleshed out and features a new mechanic and the game never felt like it was repeating itself. each boss is amazing, except for the final boss'es 2nd form, which was just okay. the game also adds a bit of replay value with the other characters.

Aug 4, 2017This game took 1 hour to complete. However, in that hour, I was more driven, challenged, and enraptured by Kamiko then I recall being in any other $4.99 experience. The replay value is crushingly low, but the 'play value', if you will, is at a record high. Kamiko rewards the player for learning, solving problems, and ignoring the most boring story in video game history.

Aug 28, 2017Great game practically made for speedrunning. I've beaten it 4 times (once with each character and again for fun) and enjoyed it very much. For only $4.99 it is a steal for speedrunners and fans of classic Zelda-esque games. Made me a bit sad to see it just 1 point under positive review feedback. I hope it sells well enough to see a sequel down the road.

Jul 19, 2018Kamiko takes clear inspiration from the classic 2D Zelda games. Music and visual are amazing and will bring you back to 90's. I played all three character, because the games is very short. So much fun for a cheap game and boss stages are very cool.

Sep 18, 2021Lost my damn review and can't be bothered writing it again. Great budget game with amazing music. **** colours but all the rest is great.
If you play games for story, then look elsewhere. -
Sep 20, 2020This game is highly polished, it feels great, and it’s fun. If that doesn’t earn it a 10, I don’t know what does.
It’s short, but it’s also *cheap*, so no problem there.

Jul 21, 2017Kamiko's quaint, pick-up-and-play nature makes it a fantastic fit on Nintendo's versatile console.

Nintendo Force MagazineJun 23, 2017If you're looking for a traditional top-down action/puzzler to play in short bursts, Kamiko won't disappoint. [Issue #28 – July/August 2017, p. 22]

May 17, 2017Kamiko is an accessible and well-designed experience that will put its players frantically trying new tactics in order to finish the game as quickly as possible. This might not sound very groundbreaking but Kamiko certainly provides incentives to its players to try to complete it in a shorter time and its challenging nature means that those who pick it up will have something they can spend some fun hours with.
