    I’m confused by all the hate this is getting. I (blasphemously) played TLOU2 first as I didn’t have a PS when the original came out. I tried to play the reMASTER (caps for clarity, not yelling) after and couldn’t get into it because it was just such a significant step down in gameplay and visuals. I just picked up the reMAKE TLOU1 on sale and it’s excellent. It feels next gen and isI’m confused by all the hate this is getting. There are limitations, e.g. the gameplay is still a bit limited, but it doesn’t dominate the experience.

    I agree with most that the $70 is too much for a remake that has already been wildly successful, but this is a great game and these scores should be about the game, not social commentary. I bought it for 30% off and feel like it’s a fair price for what I’m getting. This game is a solid 8, with 2 points deducted for limited movement (compared to TLOU2).    … Expand

Para ganhar dinheiro no Hype da serie que está sendo produzida pela HBO, The Last of Us Part I é um Remake extremamente desnecessário, porem muito bem vindo. O jogo em si é a mesma coisa do jogo de 2013 que foi lançado pra PS3, porém, diferente de Demon's Souls que estava preso na geração do PS3 devido a falta de retrocompatibilidade do PS4 com o PS3, o The Last of Us original de PS3 teve um segundo lançamento intitulado The Last of Us Remastered que era basicamente o mesmo jogo rodando com uma resolução maior e com 60 fps. A principal diferença de The Last of Us Part I para o Remastered são claramente os gráficos, vegetações, animações e uma atenção especial para a bancada de upgrades do The Last of Us part II. Porem, embora para mim isso não faça diferença, deve ser mencionado também que o modo online presente em nos lançamentos para PS3 e PS4 não está presente nesse Remake para PS5. Portanto The Last of Us Part I é um jogo menor que seu original. Porem, levando em consideração apenas o modo história, é de fato uma versão definitiva, em bora não acrescente quase nada de novo e se vc possui qualquer uma das versões anteriores não vale a pena comprar pelo preço de R$ 350 que a Sony está pedindo.… Expand

    Some journeys are better the second time around, and The Last of Us Part 1 was certainly one of those for me. I thought the original game was good, maybe even great, but not amazing. The ending was jarring to me, I had mixed feelings, and my thoughts on the characters were questionable at best. Going back for a second round knowing the general outcome before it happened however brought a different level of excitement to me, and perhaps a bit of comfort going on a journey I already knew I had enjoyed. I was excited to experience the story again with the improved visuals and improved gameplay, which really looked fantastic on PS5. The lighting, the scenery, the characters and even the enemies all had a new life brought into them which made the experience feel more cinematic and even better. I got to really spend time focusing on what made the journey unique and great and not only wondering what would happen next, and it pushed the experience up for me even more as a result. Now I can say with full confidence that while The Last of Us may not be perfect, it is amazing. Part 1 is without a doubt the definitive version of this game and a must play for both existing fans and certainly anyone who hasn’t gone on this journey before, as I believe it’s an experience every gamer should have.… Expand

    Ok… as the last remastered: there is no need for this if we had real retro compatibility. For me is an 8 because the original was a 10 masterpiece, and remastered was a 9 for the same reason. This is unnecessary. Overall still a masterpiece

    In fact, in addition to the huge visual changes, the gameplay really feels different compared to the original, but this is not part 2 level. For those who are not familiar with the original, this will be a great purchase, the rest I recommend waiting for the discount.

    С удовольствием перепрошел на PS5 а те кто говорят что это ленивый Ремастер ничего кроме смеха не вызывают.

    Great game and series. TLOU part 1 on PS5 is the best way the play this game. I've played the PS3, PS4 and now the PS5. I do believe they took some assets from PS4 and just polished them. However with that said, TLOU part 1 is one of the best looking games ever.

    First things first, I'd give the game an 8,5/10 with a small points deduction for the price, but overall it's still a fanastic game and it looks better than ever in my opinion.
    That being said, I think everyone should tak a few things into consideration before you buy this game.
    If you: - Can spare the money - If you have a PS5 (obviously) - If you don't have the remastered version    First things first, I'd give the game an 8,5/10 with a small points deduction for the price, but overall it's still a fanastic game and it looks better than ever in my opinion.
    That being said, I think everyone should tak a few things into consideration before you buy this game.

    If you however already have the PS4 version and you're really only looking for an excuse to play it again I'd either go with the remastered version or wait for a sale.     the original and remaster are masterpieces, however this version is the worst remake of all time. literally just better graphics, but not even that much of a graphical jump cus the original and remaster aren't that old. graphics are the only change and it is criminally overpriced. so much for being a "remake"

The game is great as always, you can't expect anything other than this issue, but in my opinion, 70$ is too much, it is worth 50$, and I had two expectations: one, that more details would be worked on, and one, that the feature of the system for making space in version 2 would be added to it. And there are still a bunch of bugs, I wish they would have been fixed, otherwise they don't have any problems, this game is great as always.… Expand

    I guess the problem is the 70USD price and the "remake" product tag. If inserting the ps4 disc of the remastered version they would have given you like a 10USD option to upgrade into Ps5 digital version, I would have given the game a solid 10. It's too expensive for a graphic and creative upgrade that is comparable to fan made MODs and has nothing to do with a "remake".

    The game structure is intact, for those who completed the game several times, we can tell everything is exactly the same. I was waiting for a new DLC story based like left behind, the story about Marlene crossing the US after getting shot, her journey to St Marys hospital, or maybe a history about Joel & Tommy surviving during the 20-year period after that night at the game's intro. But no, nothing. Not a single thing is changed. That's why this game sparked the discussion about what is a remake and what is a remaster. I'm thinking about bluepoint games and demon souls, they kept the original essence while creating a whole new game, a complete overhaul of the game structure, that's the remake for me.

    I'm still giving it an 8 because I really enjoyed how the Ps5 underlines the tech to boost the storytelling and gameplay experience. There are slight changes, the way Joel expresses his pain in his facial features is amazing and is something new. The haptic feedback & the triggers were nice additions too for "feeling" the world and objects you interact with. It's hard to come to terms with the 70 USD package. I feel they took advantage of my love of this game and really profited from that. I bought the original, and then the remastered, and now a 70USD remake with no upgrade path for previous owners and no additional content. Likewise, I know nobody forced me into buying those games, I guess when you love something you are hooked on it. I love Naughty Dog.    … Expand

Everything from the characters to the enemies and the combat was done flawlessly; I can even imagine this being the best way to play The Last of Us Part 1 if you have never played it before. Graphics and gameplay have improved massively, better than TLOU II even, graphics wise. Yes the story is exactly the same, although there is a free DLC as well. Anyone who somehow hasn’t played the game definitely should check this out, and for the rest - it’sI played this game before but as a huge fan of The Last Of Us franchise I simply HAD to get the PS5 version.     I originally only finished it way back on PS3. After getting half way through the show my wife wanted to see the game, so picked the remake up from the library and she started watching me play through it. But she got bored during all the combat parts especially if I was doing it as stealth. So put it all the way down to easiest to speed it up. But after the show finished, which we bothI originally only finished it way back on PS3.     Very well made, hugely overpriced, and falsely marketed as remake, remaster of a great game, that no-one needed. If you played it in the past, move along as there nothing worthwhile here for you. If you didn't played tLoU before buy much cheaper PS4 version or wait for big sale (like -75% at minimum).

    First time I picked it up years ago on PS3 with Left Behind DLC. It was one of the system sellers back in the day, no other platform could offer anything like that.
    When PS4 became a thing, a remaster hit the shelves, and that purchase was clearly worth it as well - it showed how limited PS3 was in terms of graphics, and how the game reached its full    LoU is one of my favorite games.

It somehow looks the same or worse than a PS4 remaster, especially when it comes to the redesigned cast. I don't know why it exists when you can play a great remaster via backward compatibility for 10 dollars, not 70.    … Expand

    This is an awesome remake of the original last of us. They really went the extra mile with the graphics redesign to look phenomenal at 4K 60fps. Also the way they tied everything to be like part 2 was awesome. Gameplay was smooth the only cons I see are there’s no dodging melee attacks and no prone in the stealth. Other than that it’s a great game!

    It is only getting a low rating because of the $70 price tag for the remake. But for hardcore fans, like myself it is totally worth it. The cutscenes are gorgeous and 60fps performance mode is a god send. Absolutely THE way to play the original game and runs seamlessly into the second game.

Il migliore che abbia mai giocato su ps5. Dal mio punto di vista non so se è migliore di God of War e GOW Ragnarok e The Last of Us part II visto che non ho mai giocato a questi prodotti.     Soy fan de The last of Us, lo tengo en ps3, ps4 y ps5. Pero la version de pc es terrible, llena de fallos, bugs, errores de todo tipo, en 2 oportunidades tuve que reiniciar todo el juego porque se borro el archivo. le pongo 0, no merece nada mas. En sus otras versiones es de 9-10

    I've never played the original game so experiencing this on my PS5 made me realize the hype for this franchise is real. Such an awesome experience and an even bigger fan of Naughty Dog now than ever.

    I never played the older version of this game so this was the firs time I have ever played a game from this series, and it was incredible. Its the mix between movie and video game I had always dreamed about. The plot has some of the most realistic characters I have seen in anay medium, and the gameplay is immaculate. The graphics also just look better than real life.     Only bad thing people have to say is that it was full price but I didn't mind to spend that price tag on it, I love it. It looked amazing and felt even better than PS3/4, obviously. One of the best games ever made and a fantastic remake.

    Bewarned,    When Naughty Dog released The Last Of Us in 2013, it set a benchmark for storytelling in video games. The game was met with critical-acclaim and is considered by many to be one of the greatest games of all time. Now the developer has rebuilt the game from the ground up, with new character models, enhanced graphics, and gameplay enhancements – many of which we saw in Part II.

    Bewarned, this review may have spoilers for The Last Of Us Part I, Left Behind, and The Last Of Us Part II.

    STORY

    It’s 2033, and the world is seemingly at its end thanks to the Cordyceps fungal infection – an infection that infiltrates the brain and turns humans into cannibalistic creatures. We once again join Joel, a smuggler who has the dangerous task of escorting 14-year old Ellie across a ravaged and dishevelled United States. On their journey they encounter many hardships, hunters and of course – the infected.

    Endure and survive.

    GAMEPLAY

    While the gameplay stays loyal to the original, it has borrowed some elements from 2020’s The Last Of Us Part II – a welcome addition. The combat and gun-handling feels a lot more fluid than the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game, which accompanies the DualSense’s haptic feedback flawlessly.

    The updated AI is unparalleled. The enemies are a lot more aggressive than in the original release. They don’t just bob up and down behind cover any more, and you are a lot more susceptible to flanking (I died, alot!). In single-player games, it’s common for friendly AI to just get in the way all the time, but Ellie and other allies in your journey are always assisting with kills and yelling observations during an encounter.

    One of the major new features in the game is the accessibility settings found within the game. Naughty Dog became pioneers of inclusion in the video game industry when they released The Last Of Us Part II, which had the largest accessibility options I’ve ever seen in a video game. While I don’t use these features, I know a lot of people do, and for them to be present in Part I is fantastic.

    The Last Of Us Part I was built on the same engine as Part II, which makes the whole journey a lot more cohesive. A game set in a post-apocalyptic world is typically depicted with a very lackluster palette, but Part 1, just like the original, has such a beautiful palette even when half the game takes place in dreary subways and sewers. The environments crafted by Naughty Dog are so well thought out; every room has a story to tell, it’s not just a messy room, it’s a story of the survivors who came before Joel and Ellie.

    VISUALS AND PERFORMANCE

    There are two graphics options presented to you when you start playing: Fidelity and Performance. Fidelity favours resolution over frame rate and targets a minimum of 30 fps, whereas performance has a balanced resolution and framerate but targets 60 fps. As a personal preference, I chose to play the game on performance mode and I was very happy with how the game ran on it. I snuck a peak at Fidelity from time to time and while it is gorgeous, I did prefer the extra frames that the performance mode gives you.

    CONTERVERSY

    Now to address the most controversial part of this game – the price tag. I would have liked a little more incentive placed into the game to purchase this $129 remake, but I definitely do not regret experiencing this enhanced journey of one of my favourite video games of all time. Just by playing this game you can understand that the Devs at Naughty Dog truly put their heart into this game and just want players to experience the original game in the best form possible. That said, if you have played the PS4 version recently, I would probably hold off on playing this for a while but if you’re like me who hasn’t played the game since The Last Of Us Part II came out, I would definitely recommend playing it now.

    THE VERDICT

    Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part I is a legendary remake of a legendary game. Any new or returning players will find this game to be an emotional and action-packed journey which will continue to stand the test of time.

    A bit pricey for a remake. If you have played the remastered version, maybe you may skip this one. Visuals are INCREDIBLE (I'm playing part II currently and I can see the difference). AI is ver smart. Had a great time. 3D audio works amazing.

    Never played the original (PS3) or remaster (PS4), so glad i didnt, experiencing it first time with PS5 engine was a whole different experience fully utilising the PS5.

    Would've given it a 10/10 but that £70 price tage is not worth the 15 hour run i did. Thats me taking my time, looking for safes/collectible/looting etc.

    The negative reviews are mostly about the price, which I agree shouldn't be 70usd. But when talking about the game, it's the same as the original but better. Most of the animations now look super realistic as well as the environments, and the faces.
    If you are looking to replay this masterpiece this is the version that you should be playing.

    One of the best games in history! I understand the argument of this not needing a remake but it’s still amazing and leaps above the original. If you don’t think it’s worth a full $70 then just wait for a sale but I highly recommend this version for new and veteran fans of The Last of Us.

    2) Le système de visée est atrocement lent, j’ai dû désactiver l’aide à la visée et la dualsense pour que
    ça soit moins pénible et plus fluide.
    3) Le changement d’arme anarchique.
    4) Esquive, roulade et saut inexistant.
    5) La configuration des touches désastreuse.
    6) Les tirs d’ennemi qui vous figent sur place pour au final mourir sur place.
    7) Les armes ne sont pas fun à jouer, la sensation est très mauvaise surtout avec l’arc.
    8) Les bugs d’interaction avec la touche triangle.
    9) Certains bugs toujours présents malgré 3 rééditions du jeu.
    10) Les phases de déplacement d’échelles.

    Conclusion, j’attribue un 5/10 à ce jeu car pour moi le gameplay compte beaucoup et là c’est raté même si le reste est bon.    … Expand

    Man ist ständig auf der Suche nach Munition obwohl man gegen Horden von bewaffneten Gegnern kämpft. Hin und wieder kann man die Munition dann aufnehmen. Die Munition so künstlich zu verknappen ist absolut lächerlich. Das Selbe bei Nahkampfwaffen: Es gibt eine Sequenz wo man in einem Museum unterwegs ist mit Vitrinen voller Säbel aber man kann keine Nehmen. Dafür muss man dann lange wartenMan ist ständig auf der Suche nach Munition obwohl man gegen Horden von bewaffneten Gegnern kämpft. Hin und wieder kann man die Munition dann aufnehmen. Die Munition so künstlich zu verknappen ist absolut lächerlich. The chance to incorporate Part II’s stellar gameplay evolutions into the original heart-wrenching story was there; had Naughty Dog taken it, it could have been a game-changer. Instead, this feels like an obligatory reshoot. Yes, it’s visually stunning (one of PS5’s best), and yes, things have been changed. But the end result? Too familiar.     The original The Last of Us will always be my favourite PlayStation game. The narrative is amazing, the relationship between Joel and Ellie is wholesome and it all culminates into a satisfying story that will bring tears to your eyes. However, I do not recommend the remake. Even though there are extensive graphical enhancements, 60FPS support, DualSense support and a variety of accessibility options, none of this justifies the admission price. And, above all, there was really no need for this remake, the original is perfect as it is and available on PS Plus. Skip it and wait for a fat discount if you are keen to try it.
