    My problem is the price, why would anyone pay $74.95 for a remastered 2013 game because the graphics are better? You could buy the original for $10.00, you pay for the gameplay not the graphics, if this isn’t corporate greed I don’t know what is.

    Nothing has been changed but graphic, and charge us $70 full price. Might be worth to buy it later when the price is dropped to $20, I am sure it will happen soon.

    Do you like game? Did you like game 2.0? Then you're gonna love game 3.0. It's still game but now with more glitter! Multiplayer? Nah you don't need that anymore. Don't consider it cut content, consider it streamlining! Now give is $70. Of course it costs more, inflation ya big silly. Just look at our beautiful water textures if you doubt your purchase of the same product we sold you a decade ago.

    For those of us who skipped this back on the ps3/4. I'm very happy I got this, although I hated paying full price I had a blast playing this. It's absolutely beautiful as well.

    Players and buyers do need to be aware that this is more of a remaster than a remake. If this is your first time playing , or a fan of the series, it’s a no brainer.

    This should have been a day 1 PS Extra tier release. I made the switch to Sony after being an Xbox kid for the past 21 years....really starting to wonder what all the buzz was about...at least they finally perfected the Dualshock controller.

    I agree, it's not worth 70 dollars, but game itself is great. Can't wait for the PC version, because i think that's the main reason this remake exists. I have been playing original with PS3 emulator on PC and it's playable, but not perfect. Hopefully PC version of this remake comes soon, so i don't need to play with emulator anymore.

    Still top notch!! Almost 10 years after its initial release The Last of Us remains a masterpiece, a game so important and unique that has no match. And it got even better with its new "coat of paint". Hope we get to see part III someday!

    Awesome! The emotion I felt before was reborn with the best graphics of the current generation. Admire and respect the craftsmanship of Naughty Dog. The Last of Us Part 1 is the best game, along with The Last of Us Part 2, which has won over 300 "GOTYs". Hope you all enjoy it.

In 2013 Naughty Dog was limited by the technology of the time on PS3, but now with this PS5 remake they were able to fully reach their original vision for TLoU. The Last of Us Part I shows what The Last of Us would’ve been like if it released in 2022 instead of 2013, and it’s beautiful. The added accessibility options are incredible as they allow more players the ability to play this game, because some people might not have been able to play the original game due to the lack of accessibility options at the time, so this remake definitely justifies its existence for many reasons. This remake keeps the same amazing story, performances, and soundtrack as the original, while improving every other aspect of the game. The Last of Us Part I is the definitive way to experience The Last of Us, the graphics, attention to detail, sound design, gameplay, AI, UI, character models, accessibility options, and more are all way better than in the original and remastered versions of the game. Also the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are awesome, they definitely add more immersion to the game, same with the 3D audio. It’s funny how people are reviewing this remake without even experiencing the remake for themselves. And people who claim to be “fans” of the original are giving the best version of the game a 0/10 which makes no sense, if you think it’s too expensive that fine, but that doesn’t justify giving the game a 0, plus the Demon’s Souls remake was also full price so why wouldn’t TLoU remake also be full price? If you’re someone who’s thinking about getting this game please only listen to the reviews from people who have actually played and completed The Last of Us Part I remake, as someone who completed it I think it’s amazing and worth it. What fascinates me the most about this game is the immersion felt more enhanced in the remake than the original because of the new features that Naughty Dog implemented in part 1 that made my walkthrough very engaging in which I did not expect. Special modes like speedrun and the returning permadeath mode are a huge plus that makes Part I so much worth it and so are the additional goodies. For those that wanting to get back into multiplayer, don’t bother because it is not there since Naughty Dog is currently hard at work on crafting factions multiplayer for 2023. And now the hot topic, a lot of people are review-bombing The Last of Us Part I because of the hefty $75+ price tag that everyone is rambling about and to be honest, this game should only be worth at least $50-60 and I found it quite baffling despite this is a decade year old game remade for PS5 without multiplayer. As questionable the price tag can be for the remake, The Last of Us Part I succeeds on bringing back the soul we all know and love and there is no doubt that this game looks even more gorgeous on PS5 than it was on PS3 a decade ago as the series holds a special place in my heart.… Expand

    All the cutscenes hit harder now. Gameplay is modern now. Some levels were broken in the original. They all feel different now. Stalkers were broken in original. Now they are great. Shooting is better. But not as detailed as part II. AI is completely rebuilt but it's not in par with part II and it has some annoying issues. And Buddies still walk    From a outdated game. To a modern game

The gameplay is improved and feels completely different. the visual is incredible, you forget to blink. thank you for making TLOU 1 and TLOU 2 feel like one seamless story. these are the two best games in the industry. and only out ofI have infinite respect for the work of naughty dog. and the way they masterfully embodied a remake of their favorite game is worthy of applause.     It's The Last Of Us 1 alright, it's a very good remake, 1-1 on pretty much everything and they didn't change anything that would take away from the game's original identity, in fact, it enhances it.

    However, since this was built from the ground up, it could have used TLOU2 mechanics.

Судя по тому, что я видел, игра совершенно не изменилась - и это хорошо, потому что та игра, что вышла в 2013 была великолепна. Тем, кто не играл - определенно советую. Но вот лично я, поскольку уже прошел первую версию игры обновленный вариант покупать бы не стал. Но вот лично я, поскольку уже прошел первую версию игры обновленный вариант покупать бы не стал. Невозможно заново получить те же эмоции, раз уже всё это видел. Если бы версию 2022 года выдавали бы бесплатно или за какую то чисто символическую сумму - я бы поиграл - и то, больше чем на полчаса-час меня бы вряд ли хватило - чисто графику новую заценить. Проходить то же самое второй раз - нет. Лучше бы Сони сделали или полноценный ремейк с переосмыслением оригинальной игры, или пустили бы средства на что-то новое.… Expand

The cold truth is that people don’t remember how clunky the original feels compared to this one or how outdated the visuals are especially when you compare it to the PS3 release. People also don’t understand how big of a deal that the cutscenes are actually running in real time and is not a pre rendered video. Every environment has been remade carefully from top to bottom, the shooting mechanics overhauled and identical to Part II, the melee combat feels much more weightier and I did spot a few new animations. Joel feels like an absolute Tank compared to Ellie and I feel like that was by design. If you’re a BIG fan of this game you should buy it, whether on sale or now, you will have an incredible time replaying this masterpiece. If it’s your first time experiencing this game you should get this version no question. If however you played this game before, enjoyed it for what it is and not so much of a fan of it, this remake simply isn’t for you.… Expand

    This is not a REMAKE its a visually impressive REMASTER from gameplay it is the exact game launched in 2013 and relaunched in 2014 almost nothing gameplay-wise has changed but the combat is smoother to play. I will say tho this and demon's souls is what the game industry should now hold standards to for remasters with the visual quality side of things.… Expand

    Neil Druckmann is not comfortable with the idea of a new entry to the series he himself allowed to be destroyed, so he decided to make a LITERAL REMAKE of a game two generations older. Give me a **** break.

No gameplay changes, but has the same graphical style as Last Of Us 2, the fully redone cutscenes with motion capture really helps with the facial expressions of characters (as opposed to the computer animated facial animations from the original version), the haptic feedback and adaptiveDon't let the review bombers fool you.     Perhaps the most overrated game of all time is now getting the most overrated and overpriced remake of all time. This isn't a AAA remake like Resident Evil 2 this is just a blatant cash grab with pay 2 win for buying the more expensive editions. Naughty Dog needs to learn some humility and dignity from developers like Capcom who give high quality next gen upgrades for free.

    Performance: Resolution and Frame Rate Balance I've tried both of them
    If it's performance mode, it's like Laoer's part 2.

    TLOU Part 1 is an all-time masterpiece with a well-deserved graphics update. The game looks stunning.
    I agree that the price might be high, especially for the owners of previous game versions. But the enjoyment of playing my favorite game with such fantastic graphics justify the price for me.
    I just envy people who plays TLOU 1 for the first time with this new version.

    As much as we love the skeleton, the way it’s been built upon here feels like a missed opportunity. The chance to incorporate Part II’s stellar gameplay evolutions into the original heart-wrenching story was there; had Naughty Dog taken it, it could have been a game-changer. Instead, this feels like an obligatory reshoot. Yes, it’s visually stunning (one of PS5’s best), and yes, things have been changed. But the end result? Too familiar. Neat extras are here, like a speedrun mode, behind the scenes videos, and commentary tracks – but we’d hoped for something bolder. [Issue#19, p.74]

    The original The Last of Us will always be my favourite PlayStation game. The narrative is amazing, the relationship between Joel and Ellie is wholesome and it all culminates into a satisfying story that will bring tears to your eyes. However, I do not recommend the remake. Even though there are extensive graphical enhancements, 60FPS support, DualSense support and a variety of accessibility options, none of this justifies the admission price. And, above all, there was really no need for this remake, the original is perfect as it is and available on PS Plus. Skip it and wait for a fat discount if you are keen to try it.
