    For the price tag, this game brings nothing new to the table!! It was rebuilt from the ground up with no ray traced reflections or improved combat mechanics. I’m not sure what defines a remake but in 2022 I’m expecting RT as at least an option rather than the multiple 1440p game modes….. which still drop frames in certain areas of the game that were present in the original and the remasterFor the price tag, this game brings nothing new to the table!! I’m not going to call it a cash grab as Naughty Dog are not a charity and gamers like me bought the most expensive version of the game but….. at the end of the day it’s still that original PlayStation 3 game with some improved character animations rebuilt on those original PlayStation 3 gameplay mechanics!

    If you’ve never played TLOU, get the remaster as it’s the same game but much cheaper but if you need these accessibility features or prefer haptics in the controller….. wait for the sales!!

    I own the Firefly edition as I’m a games collector but for everybody else….. see above before purchasing    … Expand

    A lovely journey but with even more outstanding visuals. If you love this game, you're in for a treat. Although the price might be too much for you, so waiting for an off is not a bad decision.

    Performance: Resolution and Frame Rate Balance I've tried both of them
    If it's performance mode, it's like Laoer's part 2.

    Due to the mindless review bombs, I gave this game a 10. Metacritic should really have a verified purchases where you actually have to play the game to review it. This is THE definitive version to play the game, while the price is pretty steep, it beats the original in every single aspect. Anyone who says otherwise simply did not play it. The cold truth is that people don’t remember how clunky the original feels compared to this one or how outdated the visuals are especially when you compare it to the PS3 release. People also don’t understand how big of a deal that the cutscenes are actually running in real time and is not a pre rendered video. Every environment has been remade carefully from top to bottom, the shooting mechanics overhauled and identical to Part II, the melee combat feels much more weightier and I did spot a few new animations. Joel feels like an absolute Tank compared to Ellie and I feel like that was by design. If you’re a BIG fan of this game you should buy it, whether on sale or now, you will have an incredible time replaying this masterpiece. If it’s your first time experiencing this game you should get this version no question. If however you played this game before, enjoyed it for what it is and not so much of a fan of it, this remake simply isn’t for you.… Expand

    Having played the remaster many times over I knew what I was getting into story wise and content wise. That said, the extra work done with the accessibility features is phenomenal to allow others the chance to experience what is a phenomenal game. The biggest improvement for me is actually the audio. For the fans and the new ones, this game is worth to play, you can't say yourself as a gamer if you've don't touched it, so my advice is to try it and you'll love it, for several days after that you'll be shocked by this experience lived never before.     A lazy re-skin of an overrated game already, no gameplay improvements or any changes in the already outdated level design.the removal of the multiplayer mode is such a slap in the face of it's fans.if you want to re-experience the last of us.just play the remastered version for $10...this game is nothing but a cash grab.

    While I loved the last of us when it released for the PS3 and played the PS4 remaster where it still holds up to this day, The Remaster of the PS4 version for the PS5 is not worth the £70 price point!

    After playing TLOU2 that overtook the first one as my favourite game of all time. This re-make really improves on the visual and the gameplay of the first which had pulled it back into the top spot for me. The perfect story with near perfect gameplay and visuals. Couldn’t have asked for anything more

    TLOU Part 1 is an all-time masterpiece with a well-deserved graphics update. The game looks stunning.
    I agree that the price might be high, especially for the owners of previous game versions. But the enjoyment of playing my favorite game with such fantastic graphics justify the price for me.
    I just envy people who plays TLOU 1 for the first time with this new version.

    Look the game is great and the graphics are almost photo realistic. If you never played TLOU its a great buy. For €79,95 its a terrible package however. With less content than the (€59) PS3 and (€39) ps4 games this game is a blatant rip off on a very loyal fanbase, don't support it! My wife purchased this for my Bday as i am a big playstation/game fan but i felt bad she paid so much for it

    It's The Last Of Us 1 alright, it's a very good remake, 1-1 on pretty much everything and they didn't change anything that would take away from the game's original identity, in fact, it enhances it.

    However, since this was built from the ground up, it could have used TLOU2 mechanics.

    What an amazing remake. Honestly if you loved the original this will blow your mind in how beautiful it looks and how much better it plays. If you’re a newcomer… enjoy this masterpiece. Naughty Dog are the best in the industry. Hopefully they make a part 3.

    Graphics are amazing and gorgeous, visuals are the best and stunning. The story, sound design, graphics,... everything is great and I love this remake. I highly recommend who hasn't played it yet and who played remastered or original and wanted to experience the game with new graphics again.

Пускай к данной версии у меня всё-равно есть вопросы, начиная от не столь сдержанной, а местами и излишне дёрганной, операторской работы, и заканчивая более очевидными стыками между новой и старой анимацией. К обновленному визуальному стилю придирок практически нет. Ну и мои субъективные претензии, тянущиеся ещё со старой версии, вроде неуклюжего темпоритма в некоторых кат-сценах, что выдавало ещё не столь зрелую режиссуру Нила Дракманна, тут не исправили. И я считаю, что геймплейные нововведения из продолжения ей были не нужны, поскольку версия 2013-го года в плане геймдизайна особо не устарела. Что ж, осталось только перенести с PS3 ICO, MGS4 и трилогию GOW, и с данной консолью можно прощаться навсегда.… Expand

    Won't fool me into buying this a third time especially with missing content and clunky old mechanics. This is not a remake just another remaster with missing content and a hefty price tag. And I can't understand why and old PS3 game can't do 4k 60fps. Save your money for ragnarok.

    I cleared part 1. It took some time to clear it because I was looking around the map. The visual and sound of Part 1 are quite good. In the beginning, Tess, Ellie, Joel, the three of them went out to the outer wall of the quarantine zone. It's extremely likely they will bring it back with a price tag and NG will make zero changes to the multiplayer.

    I've never heard of a game getting 2 remakes within 10 years that's a first for the industry and both of them suck and are not worth your time or money.     this is literally the same exact game that came out in the last 9 years for the 3rd time. This game should not be $70 and should be no more than $40. Go buy the PS4 version because its cheaper and it still looks just as good as the ps5 only version. This is nothing but a cash grab , wait for a sale.

    Thank you everyone at Naughty Dog and PlayStation. It was a pleasure to visit this masterpiece. Naughty honored this gem with the best way. The Last of Us Part 1 has amazing visuals and improved gameplay. Worth every penny I spent and my time. I'll keep playing it until Gow Ragnarök !

The chance to incorporate Part II’s stellar gameplay evolutions into the original heart-wrenching story was there; had Naughty Dog taken it, it could have been a game-changer. Instead, this feels like an obligatory reshoot. Yes, it’s visually stunning (one of PS5’s best), and yes, things have been changed. But the end result? Too familiar. Neat extras are here, like a speedrun mode, behind the scenes videos, and commentary tracks – but we’d hoped for something bolder. [Issue#19, p.74]

    The original The Last of Us will always be my favourite PlayStation game. The narrative is amazing, the relationship between Joel and Ellie is wholesome and it all culminates into a satisfying story that will bring tears to your eyes. However, I do not recommend the remake. Even though there are extensive graphical enhancements, 60FPS support, DualSense support and a variety of accessibility options, none of this justifies the admission price. And, above all, there was really no need for this remake, the original is perfect as it is and available on PS Plus. Skip it and wait for a fat discount if you are keen to try it.
