    Ich Werte das Spiel so hoch da es bei mir keinerlei Probleme gemacht hat außer ohne Day One Patch da schmiert es regelmäßig ab.

    Grafik und Syncro finde ich angenehm und auch das Gameplay geht gut von der Hand.

    Gegruselt hat es mich überhaupt nicht. Dennoch ein anständiges Spiel

    Review Update:

    So, after multiple replays, several increasing difficulties, and various DLC (one of which kills any potential future for the property), I felt compelled to do something I’ve never done before: change my rating and update a review…
    The Callisto Protocol has its potential, but, the more I play, the more frustrated I get. There are moments where just as I feel like I’m enjoying myself, the game reminds me that it doesn’t actually want me to play it. In fact, its biggest issue is just that, so much control is taken from the player. If you’re not shimmying through a tight space, you’re crawling through yet another vent; if the combat isn’t glitching, you’re forced into a ‘cinematic’ grab; and, until recently, if you weren’t doing any of the above, you were in an unskippable cutscene. Too much playtime consists of, well, very little actual playtime.
    In my original review, I focused on how from the atmosphere, setting, and aesthetics The Callisto Protocol is undoubtedly the spiritual successor to Dead Space, but it’s almost as if the game realises this and tries to pivot violently the other way, leaving a confused and messy horror that tries too hard to force an experience only to, sadly, avoid one entirely.

    Graphics are so good! But other than this game needs so much work and had a potential to be great . I dont rate this game too much because of the combat system is awful and storytelling needs so much work enemy variations are limited and this game needs a dodge system asap. Its not even scary or sth its just pisses me off because of the dodge system. I hope they will improve it with theGraphics are so good!     changed my mind, and after couple days, after releasing some normal games on ps5 - this one looks like demo project, I am not hater, just clarifying gameplay is poor.

    First of all, I know how this game developer studio works, the story and dialog might be cheesy, because the idea is to get straight to the point of gameplay, not watching long movies, until it get to playing it.     What matters in the game is the gameplay, the combat is very well designed, fast thinking and cleverly acting allow the player to prevail in the struggles, or if you try to melle a group of enemies, they will eventually brutallize you, still a chance is given, but the point is to use all of your dispossables in order to survive in combat.
    The graphics, the audio, the performance on PS5 are elevating this game into a gem for the fans of 3rd person survival horror genre.

    Fantastic game it scared me, and I'm not easily frightened, and with the right audio setup, the soundscape is vast, and the 3D sound around you informs you of danger so well it is a masterpiece of the horror genre of video games.     I had to make a Metacritic account just to review this game. If you enjoy Sci-Fi Survival Horror do not listen to the negative reviews, this game is great for what it is.

    Graphics: 10/10 Phenomenal on PS5, face rendering is some of the best I've seen in ANY game. Environments are dripping with stunning detail down to the cracks in the concrete.     Graphics: 10/10 Phenomenal on PS5, face rendering is some of the best I've seen in ANY game. Environments are dripping with stunning detail down to the cracks in the concrete. In quality mode, the ray tracing is even coded into rough surfaces, meaning you can see your rough reflection on a wet slab of concrete.

    Performance and Bugs: 8/10 Certain areas dip in frames and sometimes there will be loot that falls through the ground. I experienced some audio glitches where a character would get cut off in the middle of their lines, but nothing major. Performance mode on PS5 held 60 frames at 4k pretty well and quality mode holds 30 frames.

    Gameplay: 8/10 This is a BIG one. So many reviews and videos have bashed this game undeservedly for it's combat, I found it very entertaining and was always hoping to run into enemies to get more of it. The combat is interesting for this genre, melee hasn't been thrown out the window as it was in other games like Dead Space. Melee here seems to take a lot of inspiration from Last of Us with some tweaks to make it more challenging. You dodge with the stick, which becomes second nature a couple hours into the game, and then you counter with whatever you would like to counter with. You have many tools available to you. Would you like to heavy strike you enemy into a wall of spikes? Go ahead. Prefer picking them up and launching them across the room so you can engage the guy that just came out of a vent behind you? Do that. Want to just unload an explosive shotgun shell right into their chest and watch them become zombie smoothie? Me too. Look, many people have gone into this game with false pretenses. People go in thinking it will be a third person shooter like Dead Space and it is not that, it could definitely be later in the game as you get upgrades, but early on you REALLY can not go into encounters blindly without thinking about it. One great thing about this game is that I was ALWAYS in danger (Maximum Security difficulty) throughout the entire game. You don't get that false sense of security like you do with other survival games where you feel like your character is severely underpowered at the start and severely overpowered at the end. This game strikes a balance where you are weak at the start and strong enough to defend yourself by the end, but not strong enough to cake walk even basic enemies if you let your guard down. One negative I found was that it really felt like some areas dragged on a little too long with our adding anything to the story or giving you any enemies to fight, I can think of only like 2 areas where this happened. Enemies act intelligently, jumping into vents when losing a fight or when they can't reach you, only to come out of a vent at a later time.

    Variety: 7/10 This is a big negative for me, boss variety. You face about 10 different enemies, one of which is a miniboss type enemy that appears about 3-4 times, another is a phenomenal robot enemy that you really only face like twice which is a shame because the strategy in engaging these enemies is really unique and fun, and the others you will encounter often but I don't want to spoil each one as the game introduces them for you. Then a single boss enemy that gets repeated twice with a second phase added the second time around. This isn't horrible for being the first game in the series but it also isn't great considering games like Dead Space had many memorable epic boss fights so I would've preferred more large scale fights with greater strategy or complexity involved. Environments, while gorgeous, did lack certain variety in scale. The majority of the game is very claustrophobic with very narrow hallways and corridors. While this works to create tension when done right, almost 90% of the game is done like this and it kinda spoils the fear since you know where you need to be going and where you can be attacked from. Weapon variety is decent, not a huge pro or con, you get the usuals and you can also carry all weapons on you at once.

    Sound: 1000/10 This is an audiophiles dream game. Every step, every creak, every nasty explosion of guts hitting walls and then sliding down said wall. It's incredible. You need to wear headphones, both to improve the immersion quality as well as to make combat easier, enemies will try flanking you through vents at times and the sound is designed so that you can hear an enemy crawling under/above you through vents as they get closer to their intended exit so it's very easy to keep track of enemies all around you.

    Fear: 3/10 There were really only a few moments I felt truly afraid here. The atmosphere and sound design is there and it's phenomenal but the combat itself breaks up the tension often so there's no time for you to overflow with anxiety.    … Expand

    I really enjoyed it. I'm a bit surprised at the mixed reviews - I think some are being a bit unfair.

    I was a big Dead Space fan, and this may just surpass them for me. (It's been a while though, we'll see once the remake is out.)

Actors were good they just didn't have the best material. For a new ip I was pretty excited but it never gave us something new or improved upon that Dead Space didn't already do.     Ok, so, first things first. What I liked about the game: the graphics were nice, specially the characters models and their facial expressions, which looked above average. The weapon variety was also nice, although I think the order in which you unlock them felt unusual (your first weapon is an OP handcannon, whereas you only unlock a weak pistol much later on). I didnt like it though that they intentionally left loose ends in the end so they could justify selling us a future DLC. What I didn't like: the gore was not as good as I thought it would be. It often felt cartoonish, and very much far from real. Prior to the games release they said that the gore system took years to develop. Well, I didn't look like it. The blood didn't feel real and many death animations were straightup bad. Also, I didn't like it that it was pretty hard to switch to a new weapon during more intense combats. Many of my deaths to bosses were because of that. Speaking about bosses, there weren't many: just 2, actually, one that was reused multiple times and the final one. Overall though, great game.     This game isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty good. The combat is new and honestly very refreshing, and while difficult the first time you get introduced to it, it gets easier the more you practice. The story is serviceable, but it’s ultimately pretty cliche and generic. Actors do a wonderful job and are very believable in the way they approach and react to every situation. Performance wise, IThis game isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty good. Upgrades feel like they actually have an effect on your weapons, and they’re expensive enough to the point where you have to be smart with your money, and I like that. Unfortunately, you can’t get every upgrade in one play through, and while that would usually be ok, the lack of a new game plus makes this really upsetting, and most likely wouldn’t warrant another play through for most people, although I’ve beaten it about 5 times. Being a horror game, I was hoping for it to be scary, but it unfortunately isn’t and the scares are very predictable, making this more of an action game with horror elements. All that in mind, I had a great time with it, and I think it’s worth a try if you would like to try it, just maybe wait for a price drop if you want. 7.5/10… Expand

    My favourite game of 2022 - played this 3 times and enjoyed it more each time I played - some of the reviews are absolutely rubbish for this game - once u mastered the combat there is lods of fun to be had - the atmosphere and graphics are second to none - just a masterpiece

    I was really excited for this game because I love survival horror and original dead space it’s inspired from is a favourite however I unfortunately just found it disappointing.

    The story is pretty basic and uninteresting. The combat mechanics were interesting to learn but quickly becomes repetitive and boring once you get the hang of it. Que buenos gráficos, mi RX 6700 XT con todo en ultra la sufrió en 1080p, juego que posee gran apartado gráfico, los diseños increíbles, todo los pequeños detalles se aprecian excelentes, por otro lado las mecánicas son muy repetitivas, subir-bajar escaleras, pasar por conductos de ventilación, lugares muyComo fan de los juegos survival horror, mis primeras impresiones fueron ¡WOW!     Despite horror being my favourite genre, I held off picking this up initially due to all of the negative press it was receiving after launch. Now I've played through it, I'm in utter disbelief as to how this wasn't rated higher as it's the most fun I've had all year on PS5 alongside Elden Ring. I can't express how much fun the combat is!     Dead space with no soul. It has everything a 2010 survival horror should have but lacks tension, and soul. It is hard to describe but the magic is gone. You feel powerless but for the wrong reasons that drive survival horror

    Callisto protocol is a very good game, I feel that it immerses me in a scary atmosphere. This game knows how to generate a feeling of despair to face the horrors of that prison. The combat system is brutal and aggressive, just the way I like it.

    No lo compré de salida por las malas críticas, pero menos mal que con una rebaja lo he comprado. Si bien no es perfecto, en gráficos, ambientación y sonido es lo mejor en consolas. No es muy largo pero para mí es muy rejugable.. Es líneal pero hay estancias del juego que te puedes perder fácilmente si vas muy al grano. Su jugabilidad puede no gustar a todo el mundo pero es espectacular. LoNo lo compré de salida por las malas críticas, pero menos mal que con una rebaja lo he comprado. Si bien no es perfecto, en gráficos, ambientación y sonido es lo mejor en consolas. No es muy largo pero para mí es muy rejugable..     Brilliant atmosphere, combat was fun and very tense. Graphics are some of the best I've ever seen, main downside for me was the enemy variety, and a few 'janky' moments here and there with enemies. Hoping for a sequel as it has laid good ground with the story.

In general perspective, aside all the lag and stuttering fails it had on launch day, I agree that enemy variety, lack of exploration and somewhat unconvincing story flaws the game to some extent but this is SDS first entry, a team that is relatively new to the industry led by Glen Schofield. All of these flaws was mainly because the game was rushed, it had no alpha, nor beta testing. No doubt that if hardcore gamers were able to experience this, they would immediately point out these flaws and the game turn out to be a masterpiece. Now the other thing: melee - the big fuzz everyone is talking about, how it's flawed and etc. This is where my initial comment about the game stands out: that it's for specific players who enjoy thinking outside the box. I play all the games like Resident Evil, The Last of Us, etc. on hardest possible difficulty because only then you appreciate the beauty of the game and the needs to think outside the box. I played The Callisto Protocol on Maximum Security difficulty and aside from the tedious beginning where I still was learning the controls, I had no issues of keeping a ample supply of supplies and just playing the game, the way it's meant to be played. The melee becomes tedious, yes, if you don't think outside the box. When you start to realize that you can grab enemies or even ordinary large objects to use them as a shield vs ranged enemy attacks, that you can bait the enemy near the hazard, shoot them for stun and then use heavy melee attack to bash them flying right into hazard, that you can use the ordinary objects like cans, laundry boxes, etc. to fling them at enemies to deal damage and stun them for a melee hit... it opens up the creativity level of approaching encounters. That's why I enjoyed this game so much and just can't stand the crybabies who want more shooting and less melee to be a dead space clone.… Expand

    Really enjoyed this game just as much as the Dead Space remake, it’s not exactly what I was expecting but with it being a new ip I suppose I should have not tried to expect anything I’ve played previously! It’s engaging, challenging, panic inducing and absolutely beautiful to look at, recommended

Combat is good , the dodge mechanic is not as bad as nerds made it seem. People have been spoiled with great games lately like god of war , elden ring , TLOUP1 remake. This game is very straight to the point something games now don’t really do. This could have came out on ps2 and seen as a great game. This game doesn’t have to be a masterpiece to be fun and worth a play through. Story : 7/10 Gameplay and combat : 7 /10

    Don‘t expect Dead Space! :-) In some Situations it looks like Dead Space but it delivers a different experience and that is great!

    The presentation (Audio/Video) is awesome and consistent. For example I really like the 3D Printers and character model design.

    Also the mix of melee and ranged combat is cool but there are some situations/enemies where it is a bit problematic. The enemies with 2 heads are just beatable with enough ammo (let me know if I‘m wrong - just havent found a way to kill it without ammo). And there could be more different enemies and the story is a bit too short.

    Bon on doit pas tous jouer au même jeu ... dans la ligne droite de DS, cet op spirituel est très réussi, quelques lourdeurs comme chaque jeu de cette trempe, il est beau , intéressant, bien écrit même si déjà vu...quel est le problème ?! L'ambiance est très bonne, le gameplay original pour nous bousculer dans nos habitudes... bon on aura pas de suite parcque ouin ouin

    Steht Dead Space in nichts nach. Ist halt ein anderes Spiel, man kann es nicht vergleichen.

    A great horror game that every horror fan should play don’t listen to reviewers. Most of them didn’t even give this game a try or they’re not really fans of horror games, so do your self a favor try it before you start hating on this amazing game.

    The visuals are great, the plot is ok. It’s quite linear which I’m fine with. However the controls are clunky and can get frustrating at times. It got better as you unlock better weapons but not a game I would recommend to buy full price.

    Everything is good except that the combat gets really "messy" when there are more than one enemy at the same time. I don't know how to explain it in a good way, but the enemies kind of take turn hitting you, which just feels wrong and this also makes the game to easy when you just know how to dodge properly.

    Don't believe the hate. This game is excellent! Probably the most exhilarating survival horror game I've ever played. I feel bad that it's stuck in Dead Spaces shadow but it is what it is. Anyways this game is great! Give it a chance!

La fecha de salida y el pase de temporada lastran mucho porque salió a la vez prácticamente que Dead space Remake y pagar 30€ extras por ropita y animaciones es lamentable, pero el juego en si está muy bien, y los defectos que le ponen en mecánicas y enemigos no son para tanto y me parece que encajan muy bien con la historia en sí y tampoco el tema deEs un juego tratado injustamente.     Bought it on release and didnt had any time playing it but right now i just started NG+ really love this game. Nice graphics, nice gameplay and really love the fight mechanics and the way Jacob interacts with his surroundings to finish enemys off. Great story. 10/10

    Un juego que recibió críticas negativas en su lanzamiento por tener problemas de rendimiento óptimo tanto en consolas como en PC, a día de hoy el juego corre perfectamente y todo funciona correcto, es un muy buen juego con unos excelentes gráficos, una buena historia de escape y supervivencia, una jugabilidad buena aunque hay momentos puntuales que el personaje pierde fluidez es uno de losUn juego que recibió críticas negativas en su lanzamiento por tener problemas de rendimiento óptimo tanto en consolas como en PC, a día de hoy el juego corre perfectamente y todo funciona correcto, es un muy buen juego con unos excelentes gráficos, una buena historia de escape y supervivencia, una jugabilidad buena aunque hay momentos puntuales que el personaje pierde fluidez es uno de los aspectos que podían haber mejorado, además de una de las partes que se hace algo repetitiva, me refiero a cuando salen unos infectados que son ciegos y solo "oyen" abusan del número y son muy fáciles de matar yendo todo el rato agachado, otra de las partes a mejorar hubiera sido ofrecer otros jefes, ya que repiten hasta 4 veces el mismo, quitando estos aspectos el juego tiene muchísimo potencial, está bien hecho, se nota esmero y dedicación en los escenarios, el juego se esfuerza en sorprenderte con más de un susto, te metes muy fácilmente en la piel del personaje y se disfruta progresando, te dan diferentes opciones para matar a los infectados, desde la porra, utilizando las armas de fuego y/o utilizando el entorno con el GAR (un dispositivo de agarre y lanzamiento muy chulo) en definitiva este juego ha sido para mí injustamente maltratado, lo he podido terminar además con su dlc de historia y no puedo decir más que merece y mucho la pena, mi plataforma de juego ha sido en PS5 y he decir que las funciones del dualsense están perfectamente implementadas, se siente genial además lo jugué también con los cascos 3D y el sonido ambiente del juego la verdad que es una pasada, le doy un 9 sin lugar a dudas y recomiendo a quien le guste este tipo de juegos a lo Dead Space que lo juegue porque se va a dar cuenta a lo poco que está ante un auténtico juegazo de survival/horror… Expand

    Basically, a low-budget dead space, without the creativity, really difficult to master, the combat is ridiculous, and the amount of ammo, etc is nonexistent.
    Trying to run away without Auto dodging is stupid as hell, and stealth is impossible vs moving zombies.

    The dark immersive design concept and look and feel of the game really drew me in and I did mostly enjoy the playthrough. However the level layout and repetitiveness left a lot to be desired. Though, made with hurried broad strokes, as is the increasing trend in modern game development due to rising consumer expectations, cost of development, and shortened release windows, however, the expertly crafted cinematic visuals and audio, coupled with a thought provoking story that wasGenuinely surprised how much i enjoyed it, and even the dlc. as I was expecting a Deadspace lite. Though, made with hurried broad strokes, as is the increasing trend in modern game development due to rising consumer expectations, cost of development, and shortened release windows, however, the expertly crafted cinematic visuals and audio, coupled with a thought provoking story that was obviously meta of the past 3 years, particularly captivated me. Sure, the gameplay loop and enemy variety weren't as meticulously designed and innovative as DS's (more like a cross between DS and Slaughterhouse), but I found myself more gripped by the story beats, which i believe was the main focus this time around, and the gameplay, though more basic, was still sufficiently "Visceral" and fun, particularly once you've unlocked key upgrades and combos. Very pleased by this game. Only way I could've imagined possibly being disappointed is if i had paid the $70 at launch (which they could've offsetted by providing a season pass), but I was so pleased with my first playthrough, I purchased the season pass (which was on sale), and I thoroughly enjoyed the dlc, too! And, no, w/o giving away any spoilers, I do not think it undoes the story or the ending of the main story. It only adds to it.… Expand

    The character moves and turns too slow and feels clunky. Focussed on Melee, shooting is more for finishig the enemies. No Map, and a very very bad save system. I don't finished this game because the Bossfights aren't fun. But it has nice graphics

    Callisto Protocol makes some mistakes, but in general computing the good wins by far. It is true that it is somewhat angry to see that something with so much potential has not been fully squeezed, but what it offers is already much more than most. We trust that combat system that we have loved and its setting to make the game worthwhile and we would love to see a second installment.

    A visually beautiful sci-fi experience which, surprisingly, doesn’t resort to simply cloning Dead Space. The difficulty and the fear factor both don’t reach the heights I’d expect, however. A shame! It could have been extraordinary.
