    This game has one of the best visuals, I ever seen in any video game of this year. I think this was worth the 5 year wait. Sonic Frontiers has the best boss fights such as the fight with the huge titan on Kronos Island and the music was on top, the music is fire. All I can say this game is way better than any Sonic game that was recently released.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Sonic frontiers is by far the most complex and best developed game of Sonic. The only issue with the game are the pop ins and the 4 island, which is the northern part of kronos island. The final boss is fun but not compared to the previous titans fights. The game obviously have some bugs and the main systems like combat and general difficulty need an improvement. But overall the game is absolutely amazing, good graphics, good history, good characters personalities, good enemies and bosses. By far the best game since Sonic unleashed and frankly the best Sonic game ever made… Expand

    Great gameplay, open zones could use more natural platforming and design, not floating platforms and rails. Story is great and keeps you captivated to keep playing. Sonic and friends finally feel like themselves and talk like actual friends. The combat has a certain level of jank to it but is overall pretty fun, I hope for more moves that really capitalize on Sonics speed next game. FirstGreat gameplay, open zones could use more natural platforming and design, not floating platforms and rails. Story is great and keeps you captivated to keep playing. Sonic and friends finally feel like themselves and talk like actual friends. It faltered many times before but after Generations, Sonic lost what made Sonic... Sonic...     As a 90's die hard Sonic fan through all mediums of the blue hedgehog. My love for sonic started to die with just about everyone in the world, after sonic generations. It faltered many times before but after Generations, Sonic lost what made Sonic... Sonic... Gone was the flair, ambition, and magic that made Sonic seem literally, way past cool.... Originally I chalked it up to just growing out of it by the early 2010's... Hitting 20 I thought meh, Sonic just isnt it. With Lost world and Boom on release making me not even want to get the game, let alone play them. Sonic became childish.... Lifeless... broken... and in 2017 here comes Mania.... WOOOOO a return to form! Well.... on the 2D front.... And I played it to hell. and here comes Forces later that year... Will 3D Sonic come back to Form? Will I return to my childhood, will I feel "Cool" playing it?
    Short answer. NO. Sonic Forces was trash. But I will give it credit for one thing. It made me realize me not liking it, had nothing to do with me not loving Sonic anymore... It had everything to do with Sonic being just again, fundamentally lost. It made me realize I desperately wanted a "good" Sonic game. But yeah, Sega was probably not going to deliver that to us anytime soon...
    In comes 2021 with the Frontiers reveal, to the trailer, something seemed different. It looked like Sega for better or worse was taking a shot, at something outside the plastic box.. And my instinct was to be guarded... but be excited! Through all the press release, and trailers, and demo showcases... I let my self get hype, but knew this might be the nail in the coffin... But there was a chance...

    Playing Frontiers. Playing as Sonic.... FEEEELS like playing Sonic.
    Never have I played a Sonic game and felt like I was Sonic The Hedgehog. Controls are tight, world is huge. You go FAST. Obstacles are fun. Momentum feels good. The world is beautiful. The story is MYSTERIOUS. The soundtrack. Is FANTASTIC. The Cyber space levels are INCREDIBLE.... The Boss fights are UNBELIEVEABLE.

    If you are a Sonic Fan. This is it, you will love this game. The promised land is here. And hopefully Sega continues to build and iron out off of this formula...

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A colossal step in the right direction. Sonic Team finally got their act together and decided to steer Sonic back closer to his roots. The story is much more grounded, the cheesy and corny jokes from past titles are toned down tremendously. The music absolutely slaps, the feeling of speed from just running around the islands and the surprisingly fun and versatile combat moves keep me playing the game. The games atmosphere is very calming and relaxing, with fishing being the calmest. The story is a huge step in the right direction, they’ve established that all past games and the comics are canon. They give Egg-man and Sonic actual characterization in this game, along with the rest of the cast. Overall I’ve really enjoyed this game and was pleasantly surprised by Sonic Team’s efforts. It’s no Unleashed, but it’s better than any past title in the last 10 years.… Expand

While the game fouces is to collect tokens and keys to progress, it's fun to play around with those ralis and platforming and sloving the secrets of the islands. the combat system is really fun it gets so hard at the last but good And the cyper space is surprisingly fun, it has that feeling of speed running which is good.     This game is outstanding. There are a few flaws though, cyberspce controls are a little odd and the airboost isnt the best. Despite these flaws this game is EXTREMLEY good.

    Sonic is the best he has ever been. Open zones are a ton of fun to explore and the minibosses are very satisfying to defeat. The titan bosses are the best bosses have ever been in the series. Cyberspace levels, although have a tad bit of jank, are mostly well designed and fun to master in speedruns

    Overall this is a very good Sonic game, the best since Unleashed and Generations, Sonic controls AWESOME in the open zones, I also love the DropDash incorporation ( The best feeling of being in control of the character of all the games in the franchise ) and it’s very satisfying upgrading Sonic stats, the combat is really good, the exploration, and I love that the game let you change SonicOverall this is a very good Sonic game, the best since Unleashed and Generations, Sonic controls AWESOME in the open zones, I also love the DropDash incorporation ( The best feeling of being in control of the character of all the games in the franchise ) and it’s very satisfying upgrading Sonic stats, the combat is really good, the exploration, and I love that the game let you change Sonic acceleration, turning speed, boost speed, and more, I love the customization in that way, the story of this game is really really good, Ian is the best, the only thing that I don’t like it’s the reused assets from cyberspace, Green Hill, Chemical Plant, and Sky Santuary, and the physics in the Cyberspace levels, I’m loving this new generation of Sonic games!… Expand

Esse jogo e muito bom, apesar de não ser perfeito, em vários aspectos ele e impecável, ele possui um combate divertido, que dependendo da forma que você pode realizar combos fluidos, os gráficos mesmo não sendo espetaculares são ok, esse jogo possui poucos bugs, com exceção do Pop-in que realmente e o maior problema desse jogo em relação a bugs e defeitos técnicos, porém não e algo que atrapalha muito a gameplay, normalmente com o tempo que eu tive jogando, acabei ignorando com o tempo, A movimentação do Sonic no mundo aberto e bem divertida, você pode facilmente explorar o mundo sem muitas dificuldades, e sempre achar algo pra fazer, como puzzles, baús Mini Bosses e inimigos diferenciados , e se você acaba enjoando de fazer tudo isso, você pode cortar caminho pescando com o Big the cat, num minigame relaxante que você pode usar tanto para passar o tempo, tanto pra conseguir recompensas que vão te ajudar muito na sua aventura, os minibosses e inimigos que enfrentamos no caminho costumam a variar bastante um do outro, e a cada ilha eles ficam mais complexos e difíceis, nunca enjoando, e também tem os looding interativos que e uma mecânica qual sentia falta nos jogos, qual você pode aprender golpes ou executar mecânicas novas, as músicas são espetaculares, novamente a Sega se superando nas músicas do jogo, com uma trilha sensacional, principalmente nos Bosses de cada ilha, que são os que tem as melhores músicas para mim, falando nos Bosses, mais um ponto positivo, os bosses são extremamente criativos, concerteza um dos pontos mais altos do jogo inteiro, apesar do tempo em que você os derrota ser curto, o que eu queria que fosse um pouco maior, os cyber-spaces são um tanto repetitivos em cenário, queria que eles variassem mais em cenários, por que são sempre os mesmos, e as vezes fica bem chato, além da movimentação 3D no cyberspace não ser tão boa, apesar da movimentação 2D ser ótima, um ponto que eu não gostei muito, foi o uso exagerado do 2D na terceira ilha, que acaba atrapalhando as vezes, por que os itens as vezes caiem no chão, ou pro lado, e não dá para pegar, por que você acaba ficando preso na perspectiva 2D, e a 5 ilha acaba sendo bem repetitiva as vezes apesar de também ser boa, a história e excelente e profunda, e um dos melhores pontos, e espero realmente que a Sega explore mais disso, já não aguentava mais o Sonic parecendo um carro de corrida sendo obrigado a seguir um caminho pre-definido, esse jogo tem o potencial de mudar Sonic para sempre.… Expand

    No. After 10 years of cringe-jokes, bad writing we finally got a game where Sonic takes itself seriously again. It was never meant for kids. It was meant for everyone. Yeah the movies did him dirty (I’m not saying the movies are bad, they are REALLY good. Thing is, they made Sonic character for kids. It make sense since he’s still a kid there but then everyone will think he is. When he’s not.)

    “Image being a kid, he would be bored playing this game”

    Are you that kid? Stop self projecting. Why we have to treat Kids like they are stupid? Super Paper Mario was 14 years ago. Do I really have to explain what I’m saying? That game aged like fine wine. Bowser’s Inside Story is another one. And this will do the same because it’s good. It’s so good. Cyberspace is the “eh, okay” of the game, I see the potential, it can be improved. And here I thought I would hate this game, I hate open worlds and I don’t like Zelda at all, but I respect it because that’s just me, Zelda makes good games. Wait, silly me, this is an “Open Zone” game (coping? Maybe) but well, I liked it. Maybe that’s why it worked. I recommend it to you all.

    Es muy buen juego la verdad, en si mi calificación es un 8 por que no tiene doblaje latino y las gráficas la verdad dejan mucho que desear, pero le pongo 10 para apoyar el juego, ya que la crítica no fue muy imparcial que digamos, la verdad exageran un poco, no es como dicen, es un juego decente, y a mi me gusto.

    Absolutely love this game. It's so atmospheric and the open world setting is brilliant. So much to discover and the more you play, the more you learn and get used to the great controls and battle moves. Some really cool ways of fighting and rushing around the brilliantly realised world. The best Sonic game in years and a really exciting step forward in the right direction.

    Franchement je comprends pas pk tout le Monde crache sur Sonic frontiers. On est pas fan de Sonic pour ce qu'on aimerait ce qu'il soit mais pour ce qu'il est. Et à ce que je sache on à jamais joué à Sonic pour ses graphismes, les FPS ou quoique ce soit. On joue Sonic pour l'expérience qu'il peux offrir les musiques, la course le combat style Sonic. Des histoires parfois peut-être simpleFranchement je comprends pas pk tout le Monde crache sur Sonic frontiers. On est pas fan de Sonic pour ce qu'on aimerait ce qu'il soit mais pour ce qu'il est. Et à ce que je sache on à jamais joué à Sonic pour ses graphismes, les FPS ou quoique ce soit. On joue Sonic pour l'expérience qu'il peux offrir les musiques, la course le combat style Sonic. Des histoires parfois peut-être simple serte mais si vous voulez du grand scénarios, alors qu'est-ce que vous branler ici? Retourner voir gode of War si vous voulez du graphisme... Puis au moin les jeux Sonic à au moin l'audace d'innover contrairement un certain plombier qui nous recyclé le même jeux depuis 40 balais et personne dis rien. Où pire Pokémon Arceus qui est juste dégueulasse mais c pas grave parce que c Pokémon, franchement c'est de l'hypocrisie, c dégueulasse, ouij suis vénère, et moi qui joué à tout les jeux Sonic du 1er jusqu'au dernier Sonic frontiers est juste génial.… Expand

    Sonic Frontiers is truly a redemption arc for Sonic, this game’s story is fantastic, the gameplay is really good, the graphics are beautiful (Minus the pop in), the soundtrack is up there as one of the best in the franchise, the cyberspace stages despite their controls can be really, the characters are finally in character, the voice acting is great and open zone is really fun to navigateSonic Frontiers is truly a redemption arc for Sonic, this game’s story is fantastic, the gameplay is really good, the graphics are beautiful (Minus the pop in), the soundtrack is up there as one of the best in the franchise, the cyberspace stages despite their controls can be really, the characters are finally in character, the voice acting is great and open zone is really fun to navigate through. This open world formula can be perfected into something amazing. As well as bringing back the serious dark era tone stories that make sonic games epic and grand. Amazing music, amazing visuals. Es lo que puedo decir de este juego y vale toda la pena recorrer todas las islas hasta el último rincón, la parte en donde vez a los Titanes antes de treparte a ellos para la última esmeralda de cada isla la vista es excelente, Me encanta en la que tails ya no quiere ser salvado por Sonic a cada rato me encanto el desarrollo del personaje, la escena emotiva de sage cuando la vemos por primera vez como buena y el recuerdo de eggman y la canción me hizo llorar, los acertijos son algo repetitivos pero tienen más difícultad, el minijuego de Big es excelente para entretener, algo que sería negativo para mí sería en qué que es muy fácil de conseguir las llaves de portal con el minijuego de Big, le quita la necesidad de entrar a los niveles del ciberespacio pero de ahí en fuera el juego es perfecto, tal vez el juego no sea tan innovador al ser mundo abierto pero es el juego qué Sonic necesitaba y las referencias no se quedan atrás hasta algunas me dió nostalgia de tan solo verlas como a Sonic recordándole a tails que salvó Station square es una escena que me recordó a Sonic adventure 1 ya que es mi juego favorito de la franquicia en 3d este juego definitivamente hizo que Sonic regresará como era antes… Expand

    Mi nuevo favorito en la franquicia sentado maravillosamente junto a la serie Sonic Unleashed . La variedad de encuentros con enemigos por isla y la sensación de ir a tu propio ritmo que crea el mundo abierto es una de las mejores que he encontrado. La mezcla de realismo y animación siempre se ve bien y la banda sonora es estelar.     This game is for Sonic fans of old generation and new. Sonic feels so refreshing and great to control. This game has great atmosphere, great music, and for once in a long time, a good story. Sonics character is fleshed out more, side characters are given more of a personality than their typical one note tropes. I greatly enjoy this game.

    Sonic Frontiers is a unique experience with the blue hedgehog who feels amazing at the controls and brings innovative new concepts to the saga, Although the performance can be improved , the gameplay is very fun and it is certainly a step forward in a fresh and new direction that It leaves us excited to know what Sonic's next adventures will be like

    This is a fresh new take on the series and a big step in the right direction for the future of sonic games. I haven't had this much fun with a sonic game since Sonic Unleashed. Huge props to Ian Flynn for writing such an interesting story as well. If you are a Sonic fan then I highly recommend this game.

    This game is so fun - wish they wouldve had more of a focus on physics but that doesnt take away from how the game had me sitting down playing it for hours straight and never a moment where i started to get bored. Cyberspace is also really underrated in my opinion and ive not experienced any bugs. A perfect foundation and an amazing game. I highly recommend you try it..     I looooove this game to death oh my god. The open world zone was a good direction to go with, the game is not hard at all but it is so much fun to play and go as fast as possible. The cyberspace are not as bad as people claim them to be in my opinion either.

El juego me parece perfecto, tiene una buena narrativa, un combate precioso, y una de las cosas que más me llamaron la atención es que puedes interactuar con Sage desde la primera isla, haciendo que vemos un poco de su personalidad e intenciones, y pues que decir del OST, es simplemente hermoso como en cualquier juego de Sonic Lo Malo del juego es pop in que para muchos es molesto, también tiene algunos bugs pero difícilmente te los encuentras y no son perjudiciales para nada, y otra cosa en lo personal que no me gusto es que en la mayoría de islas las formas de conseguir las esmeraldas son las misma.     I love this change of gameplay and it was a lot of fun. 5 different islands with a total challenge amused me for hours so that I finished the first island the first time I entered the game! For all the styles of this game, the portals are exactly the same as Sonic Colors and Sonic Generation, which I also liked.

    I have played this game for over 18 hours and I have only come out with a single complaint literally to do with a fishing mini game, I find it pointless that you work harder to catch chests with a max of 3 tickets in. I know that these can buy you anything for only 1 ticket but the most expensive thing is 15 tokens so the max equivalent for 3 tickets would be 45 tokens even though you canI have played this game for over 18 hours and I have only come out with a single complaint literally to do with a fishing mini game, I find it pointless that you work harder to catch chests with a max of 3 tickets in. The story itself is the best from a sonic game and without spoiling it the final boss feels rewarding and satisfying to beat. Again this is an amazing sonic game one of if not the best, but most suprising of all it is a generally good game a feat not many sonic games accomplish. I loved my entire 30 hour playthrough of this game, I've collected all trophies yet I still find myself coming back. All i hope now is Sega can give the devs the time they need since this game proved it works when you give the devs what they need. To finish this off I'd like to say that personally frontiers is my favorite game of 2022, even after hundreds of hours in elden ring and even more time spent killing zombies in dying light 2 sonic still somehow managed to speed his way into my favorite title from this year.… Expand

    Map design in this game is genius level.
    Frenetic, epic bosses and platform puzzles everywhere.
    It's fun to play mechanically speaking.
    Price tag day one is a little bit pricey (on PS5), but, if can catch it in a deal, don't mind it, just buy it.

    Sonic Frontiers is one of the best games I have ever played. I mean even now I’m sitting and thinking about the different combos I can try and pull off in the game. I love this game and I hope Sonic Team will refine the open zone mechanic in the future games.

    This game is just fun through and through. Its not perfect, but not every game has to be perfect. I cant lie, but alot of games that are objectively better, just lack the soul and fun aspects many flawed games have. As a long time sonic fan this game goes stupid hard, the soundtrack is a 10/10 banger and the boss fights are easily the best in the series

    Hacía años que no se ponía a la venta un Sonic que de verdad me recordase a los Sonic originales, con todo lo bueno que aporta la tecnología y lo bien que han sabido crear un juego divertido, majestuoso y que no puedes dejar de jugar.     Finally, after almost 25years of half measures and mostly mediocre titles, Sonic has finally reached the 3D levels of gameplay it needed to reach. Yes, the pop in is absolutely inexcusable and the ancient gatekeeping grindy methods damage the flow of the game for no reason, but a wonderfully built base exists here, with a highly entertaining adventure in wonderfully melancholic world and a surprisingly well founded story, thankfully clean of Sonic’s annoying 3rd tier friends!
