    I really hope people really read the negative comments because this is worse than cyberpunk 2077s launch. At the least, 2077 had a great story and devs actually poured effort in. Anyone praising this game has no knowledge of past saints titles, likes low quality games or is a troll and/or casual.
    Us saints row fans asked volition to listen to us, to go back to the og sr1-2 roots and    I really hope people really read the negative comments because this is worse than cyberpunk 2077s launch.     This game is broken, lacks depth with npcs, cant rob stores, the vehicles undersides look WORSE than a 2008 game.
    They went to massivly appeal to tik tok gen z and this backfired massively and this is politics aside.
    The saddest part is, santo ileso the city has so much potential, the desert has potential, the car damage models are amazing (scratched paint marks etc)
    but all the minor positives are massively overtaken by all of the negatives. and boy oh boy the game is 99% abysmal at best.
    when will game companies understand majority of gamers want old school games and quality, gen z just wants fortnite low quality dopamine hits. and dopamine hit games flop.

    edit- i still cannot get myself to even complete the game, i have been gaming since 1998 and ive had my fair share of bad games, and you as a gamer can tell if the devs put in some love, soul and effort in a bad game, i can overlook alot in a bad game and still find some hope and light if you will. THIS IS THE WORST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED. honestly it really is and im more sad than mad at this point because they had an opportunity to bring a classic series back to relevancy in the open world crime genre, since you know, R* milked gta v for the past 10 or so years.    … Expand

    i like this saint row and finally show the playable character nipples which gta is afraid to show her boobs. for gta fans who break balls in saint row come back to play gta v instead of writing here the next gta will come out on ps5 hopefully 2025

    For me, this is the anti-game, that represents everything that I absolutely hate about modern videogame development / copy-pasting. They copied the engine from IV, hauled it forcibly onto the PS5 and left it at that. Horrible performance, horrible optimization, horrible experience. Ladies and gentleman, we have a new Cyberpunk 2077 with how mindblowingly bad this game runs. Want to wreck some havok in the city aside from the main/side missions (that all suck), nope. No interactions with shops, npcs, most traffic. There is just NOTHING to do in this game except the copy-paste Ubisoft like "gotoA-getitemB-returntoC" quests.

    And finally, the amount of LGBQT **** that has been injected into this game is absolutely laughable. I don't care about this topic. Please, stop hammering it into my face. Let them do what they want and let me do what I want. Stop this mindboggling all-inclusive "we have to represent everyone" garbage that noone wants and stop this annoying preaching! FK OFF!

    There is nothing worth your while in here.
    This is how gaming should NOT be.
    This is my anti-game.

    Cringey, unlikeable, woke characters. Embarrassing dialog, repetitive/boring gang fights. Thank Anita Sarkeesian for this trash game and the idiots at Embracer for the direction they’ve taken this franchise.

    It's difficult to find fitting words to describe how bad this game is. I wasn't expecting much, given the rumors, but the actual "finished" product, is by far worse than I was able to imagine.

    It's just about passable for a Saints Row game. It's what you'd expect from the series but toned down and the humor is less on point. The writing (and especially dialogue) is pretty weak in general but there are a few good scenes and missions with amazing set pieces but in general most missions consist of nothing but getting a phonecall and driving somewhere and shooting **** up.     I've played the game for about 20 hours now.
    the graphics and the game play are old-fashioned and looks like a game from 5 years ago. there are still some bugs and there are no cheats like before, which I think is a shame.
    Despite all the criticism, I also have a lot of fun with the game. Because driving feels good, the characters grow over time and the world is interesting, the story    I've played the game for about 20 hours now.

    The game is not a saints row game, it feels more like Sunset Overdrive, but a lot worse. The story is awful, the game play is awful, the graphics are awful. Just in general the game is awful.

    This game is awful makes agents of mayhem look good and hate the censorship.I don't understand why franchises are becoming more weak and softer the tone is way off and game is more buggy on ps5 than pc. NO SEX APPEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Is it perfect no, does it have bugs yes but you know what it's a hell of a lot of fun and I for one can not stop playing it. Don't trust the negative reviews, if it's something that interests you buy it and try it for yourself then make up your own mind about it.

The combat gets a little lame and a pain when every mission is just fight fight and fight in SR3 every gun upgrade made ut look different here it stays the same,the new perk upgrade system is horrible in SR3 it was fkin amazing, the world feels empty, cool costumization system, i actually enjoyed the story but in 3 there were choices... i consider it ok nothing more but notI had no bugs.     TLDR: a tremendous disappointment it wants to be saints row but gives a fortnite type of vibe in terms of the audience that should play it, they made it a little more friendly feels like, SR3 felt like they actually targeted an actual mature player base but here its like they aim for idk 10-16-17 yr olds. A great example is Borderlands where they added streaming and social media into the story like it is not their place in these types of video games. The game is just BLAND

    Idk why this comparison came to mind SR3 feels like an actual action movie with jokes but when i think of the reboot i outright think of it as being Toys Story from Disney xD

    I believe it can 100%be enjoyed by some people and 100% hated by others however i am in the middle cant give it a 6 either because we waited too damn long just to get this one of the games ever made but i do say TRY IT see if you like the game    … Expand

    Back in The Days When I Picked a Saints Row CD From the Local Game Shop I never knew I'm gonna experience one of the Best Open World Game That Ever Made . i Played This one After Gta 4 and I Still Prefer Saints row 2 over Gta 4 ( Except TBOGT version ) . The NPCs felt They are Alive .     and the map was well made , there are enterable airports , shopping mall at the air port , Mega Giant Shopping Mall in another place , functioning Nuclear Power Plant with functioning Dock , Big prison , Police Station, DJ Bars, Hospitals, Secret Caves , Secret Building of a Creepy Drug Cult and they are selling Human organs and more .

    The Map is Not Only Diverse it was a living open world . If we Move to The Story Part it is Cherry On The TOP . The Antagonist Had Character Arcs same as The Protagonists . There are 3 Gangs and a Corporation called Ultor . Sons of Samedi is the Creepy Drug Dealing Gang they have a little weak side of story but Missions related to em are so Good , Remember Trevor's Sticky
    Bomb Missions in Gta 5 They Steal it from one of Samedi Missions . and Killing one of The Gang Member will haunt you Rest of the game . coz radio stations are its finest in Saints row 2 ,unluckily that Gang member happens to be the Radio jockey . after his death the radio gets owned by an Artificial intelligence which sounds terrible .
    The Other Yakuza Gang ( Ronin ) Struggles with Father son Relationship and Trust me You will feel bad for Them way before you are burying one of of em alive , their Missions are straight From Japanese action movie katana fights , samurais on bikes , blowing this **** out , collapsing building and skydiving damn.

    next one is brotherhood , this gang is basically you are fighting with another your self . it is so Intense so personal there are so emotions on both side it felt great . and there are 4 different combat style .

    the Ultor is some next level @@@@ im not spoiling here experience it your self .

    a part from missions you can buy properties , Work as a Taxi Driver , Body guard of a celebrity , as a medic . fire fighter and a Cop . it had the perfect blend of realism and over the top fun . all of the time i played as the default boss from the trailers so character creation is not a thing for me .

    back in 2006-2008 volition pulled a Gta Rival with That Budget , just imagine what they can do in future if it had a better funding .

    as i said I'm not a fan of character creation in saints row games they out did here , in other worlds they spent all resources on character creation , LGBTQ Rainbow flags and clothing and it reflect that . i would have loved if it had the capability to export these models into Maya/Blender ( Why not Fully Rigged models for a Reasonable Price ) .

    hey Volition you cant make good games you are proving it for almost a decade , Just Step Down The Business and Make Custom Character Creator Blender / Maya / Unreal Users . ill but even it is Yearly Subscription .

    Stick to the old games, they're more entertaining than this ever will be. Saints Row started out as a GTA clone before it found its own identity, this game is trying to be a clone of a clone and failing. No likeable characters, a lackluster story, and most importantly no Johnny Gat. Save your money you can get all the older games for less than this and be better off for it.

    As advertised. Lots of fun. 8/10 but just counterbalancing whiners.

    Exactly as advertised, lots of fun. Not reinventing the wheel, nor did it promise to. Just a fun arcade open world playground.

    It seems that Volition spent more time ensuring LGBTQ representation and arguing with fans over twitter than, oh I don't know, fixing bugs, developing a better physics engine/gameplay, halfway passable writing, or fixing the atrocious main characters.

    I am really baffled on the universal hate on this game. It is a good open world game with a ton of fun stuff to do. If you like GTA style open world games, you will love it. I did not find it repetitive at all. The only downside is that the game crashes a lot, but hopefully this will be fixed in a patch. Just play the game yourself before you judge it so harshly.

    It’s not terrible and it’s not great but it IS ENJOYABLE. My only faults would be enemy sponges and gunplay is bad but it’s nothing that can’t be fixed. Enjoyable sandbox exploration. Serious with a touch of stupid. It’s a reboot not a remake. Not sure if half the reviewers even played it tbh.

    for an open world gangster game in 2022, you cant steal from shops, you cant even gamble and there are multiple casinos, the characters are awful, the missions are repetitive, and the games still has problems even on new gen consoles. do not buy it and if you do pls wait until for updates and discounts, this garbage is not worth full price

    In my mind, does NOT deserve the hate its getting. The game is awesome, fun and indeed 100% a Saints Row game. Granted, it may not be the Saints Row we were used too (SR 1,2,3,4, GOH) but its deffinently a fresh title in the series. I have encounter little to no bugs/glitches, and for me, the game feels EXACTLY how a Saints Row game in 2022 should feel.

    Story: Completely a waste of your time, a bunch of soy-boy twitter users acting like gangsters (Not real gangsters) attempt to pay off their student loans and debts while clumsily building their incompetent empire. The dialog is some of THE worst written I have ever heard from my 20 years of gaming. The writers certainly have a boner for hating anything capitalism or the idea of making money, and its certainly annoying and unbearable. Which is Ironic, since that's the main point of the game.

    Gameplay: Watered down, shooting bullet sponge enemies is boring and repetitive, useless collecting and a buggy mess of a game that gives cyberpunk a run for its money. Nothing new is added and it feels like they just took saints row 3's engine and clumsily just copied and pasted it in this game while not checking for bugs, glitches, and crashes.
    Open-world gameplay for this game specially shows how aged it is and how boring it has become. There is literally nothing to behold in this game and GTA5 has more stuff to do then this.
    Rag dolling is just out of place and out of control, nothing obeys the rules of the world or reality.

    Sound: Decent, but again, the dialog is just some of the worst i have ever laid my ears upon. Don't have anything to say about this, guns go shoot shoot, explosions go boom.

    Overall: Please, do not buy this game, for any system, I have already refunded mine, and I highly suggest anyone who had to sit through this train-wreck do the same. This game is not saints row, and to the people who made it, quit making games, you clearly have no idea how to make a game, stick to activism where you belong.

    GTA 6 will also meet this fate, don't pin your hopes in that either.    … Expand
