    A Masterpiece. I'm a huge fan of the original from 2005 and this remake took that and pumped up everything and changed what needed to be changed.
    Now waiting for the mercenaries and Separate Ways to finally play Ada, Wesker and Krauser

    Best RE remake ever. The game has successfully adopted classic survival horror to modern graphics and gameplay with drastically improved game mechanics while remaining faithful to the story and the ideas of the og.

    Masterpiece. Wasn't much of a fan of the original so this for me, improved on everything I didn't like about it and then some. Great game, great remake

    This game is fantastic, its even better than the OG you got more options for you defense and character more alive this time, and the way leon and ashley react to stuff is pretty cool.

    Masterpeça!!!
    Um game tão famoso e tão amado por mim quanto o resident evil 4, iria ser muito difícil melhorar, mas os caras conseguiram entregar até um pouco mais que o esperado. Ótimo game que me fez lembrar da infância e ter um sentimento parecido que foi quando joguei o original pela primeira vez.

    The game is great, is better than the original, the best Resident evil I ever played, is more terrorific than the original and the new elements are great.

    Stop giving 0's to this game you freakin' bots. RE4 remake hits almost perfection as the original did in 2005 . You people are clearly nostalgic and frustrated by changes.You should do nothing but play your dusty old consoles with no right to give opinions about anything.

    El juego destaca en calidad grafica y suspenso superando al original en su totalidad en ese aspecto, escenas iconicas recortadas pero nada que se extrañe tanto, la mayoria de las cosas han sido perfectamente pulidas y le dan un aire fresco como las batallas contra jefes o zonas donde hay encuentros con muchos enemigos haciendo más dinamico el combate, más desarrollo de personajesEl juego destaca en calidad grafica y suspenso superando al original en su totalidad en ese aspecto, escenas iconicas recortadas pero nada que se extrañe tanto, la mayoria de las cosas han sido perfectamente pulidas y le dan un aire fresco como las batallas contra jefes o zonas donde hay encuentros con muchos enemigos haciendo más dinamico el combate, más desarrollo de personajes secundarios, cosa que me parece espectacular, en general capcom ha hecho un lindo trabajo pero no perfecto.… Expand

    It has been a long time since I last got myself immersed into a incredible game like this! "How time fly!" this is the true feeling when I saw the clock after I played RE4 for a really long time~ Thanks Capcom, you didn't let us down this time! But I have to say, the ENG cv of Ada really sucks!!!!

    The best resident evil now graduates to being the best resident evil remake title. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this game, they took everything great about the original and made it better. Amazing game.

    Perfection has been reached with this remake, it stands to reason that some parts have been removed, but the game doesn't feel short at all. The new movement and knife mechanics are great, plus Leon's stealth.

    A CAPCOM conseguiu ser fiel ao original ao mesmo tempo em que insere novos elementos, cenários e nuances nesse remake. A jogabilidade continua extremamente agradável, mesmo tendo sido modernizada, não perder a essência. Foram feitos cortes de cenas e cenários do cenários, mas as adições de novos elementos compensam totalmente, além de que as cenas cortadas podem ser adicionadas numaA CAPCOM conseguiu ser fiel ao original ao mesmo tempo em que insere novos elementos, cenários e nuances nesse remake. A jogabilidade continua extremamente agradável, mesmo tendo sido modernizada, não perder a essência. Foram feitos cortes de cenas e cenários do cenários, mas as adições de novos elementos compensam totalmente, além de que as cenas cortadas podem ser adicionadas numa eventual DLC da Ada. Esse remake é uma aula de como reinventar um jogo respeitando a fonte primária.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don’t leave reviews but with the overwhelming amount of brain dead discord moderator **** virgins who want to leave fake reviews and complain they can’t see pixilated panties in this new remake of RE4.
    The game is honestly an almost well polished faithful reimagining of the classic 2005 release of Resident Evil 4. The atmosphere and tone to the game leaves me feeling suspense and dread from the dungeons of the castle when you fight your first Garrador all the way to the laboratory filled with grotesque terrifying Regeneradors. With heart racing action packed set pieces that are way more balanced than the over abundance of enemies in the original. The island section of the game definitely got toned down from the OG which is something I’m so happy for because the original island section was the worst part of the game with nothing but filler and randomness that left a sour taste in my mouth. With the remake only really keeping two sections from the OG with heavy action and I’m 100% okay with that. Yes I am disappointed that they cut U3 in favor of renaming other enemies as UII & UIII. U3 was the most terrifying boss in the classic but he did serve as filler in the original so I can see why they would cut him from the game but I am holding out hope maybe he will make a return in the DLC for Separate Ways. Which brings me to my next gripe about the game and that is the cut side content (Separate Ways, Assignment Ada, Mercenaries). I know mercenaries will be in the game as free DLC on April 7th but it honestly should have been in the game on launch day but I can live without it for a couple weeks. Now with Separate Ways/Assignment Ada, these were completely cut from the game and as of right now Capcom has yet to confirm these as future DLC but with the help of data miners they have uncovered the files for Separate Ways so at least we know as of right now it’s about a 99% chance we will be getting that. Unfortunately it will probably be behind a paywall probably $20-$40. That is honestly a major L for capcom to release a RE4 Remake without all of the added content at launch. But the game alone makes up for it with how replayable the game is. The added challenges to the bonus shop and character customizations and a bunch of different challenge runs to really test your skills as a player. I’m not one to really use costumes in my Resident Evil games and I really don’t like that they added animal parts with special abilities (infinite ammo, extra knife damage, increase kick damage) I really don’t want to add cat ears and fox tails to Leon because it’s too goofy and makes you look like a furry. The game faithfully remade RE4 by keeping about 90% of the main campaign but expanding those areas to reach that 100% potential. The way they fleshed out Luis in the game and made him more involved in the story. You fighting Krauser in two separate knife only hand to hand combats and then fighting him in his mutated form. Ashley getting an overhaul where she isn’t as annoying as the original and she actually has amazing character development and grows as a person. I would love to see her return in a future title as an agent as she mentioned in the ending of the game. Now we get to Ada as a character… yes I wasn’t a fan of the VA, Capcom has an issue of not using the same VAs for their games. It’s like using the VA for Chris Redfield in Village, it’s the same VA as Carlos in RE3R. I don’t like how they manage their VAs for characters. Ada sounds too nasally with a clump in her throat. But she isn’t in the game for very much so it’s not going to hinder my review score for this. The combat feeling amazing with every gun sounding and feeling incredible. The parry mechanic being such an amazing addition to the game. Making you feel like a badass once you get the hang of it and being able to deflect anything in half a second making it muscle memory. I see people complaining that the aiming is too hard or the game is too difficult and for that, honestly it’s a skill issue. You need to practice it, you’re not going to be good at the game as soon as you pick up the controller. You have to adapt to the new play style of this REMAKE. if you want the original then go play the original and stop crying over stupid fake reasons. I only ran into one graphical error where the floor was not rendered in the courtyard and in the beginning of chapter 13 of the island. Restarted the game and they were back in and never saw that happen again. Only one frame drop issue in the area where Leon drops down in the underground spike trap area but that never happened to me again. The game runs fine and phenomenally on new gen systems and PC. If you’re having issues on your PS4 then honestly that’s the hardware you’re playing on
    Oh and if you’re mad you can’t see Ashley’s panties in the remake, go touch some grass and just go watch Ashley on Rule34 or wait for the nude mods you basement dwellers    … Expand

Já amava o Leon e a Ashley e agora Amo mais ainda. Parabéns pelo ótimo trabalho feito. terror e tensão cm uma pintada de ação para sobreviver em meio ao Caos!… Expand

I will admit there were a few things the original did better then the remake. My favorite part of the game so far though, the stealth mechanic. Being able to sneak around the blind berserkers and knife um in the back, so satisfying. The changes to the boss fights were very interesting. They felt similar enough for me to understand what I needed to do and yet, at the same time. It was different enough to throw me off. Except for the fight with Salazar... That was very different, a little disappointed that we didn't get the transformation sequence for him but mehh. Honestly, my biggest complaint really, was the voice of Wesker. They've literally gotten a new voice for wesker every game Can we have DC Douglas back when they do RE5… Expand

    The story of the game is a mediocre story, the gameplay is very enjoyable and attractive, in terms of visuals, it is equal to Cross Gen 2023 games and has a stunning visual, the main boss fights are very similar to each other. The sound design of the game is wonderful, the enemies have a good variety and only one new type of enemy has been added to the remake compared to the original version.

    Resident Evil 4 Remake not only does right by its original source of inspiration, but it also sets a high bar for what modern day remakes can be. All components of the story have been finetuned into a more well-thought out package, and that’s before mentioning the game’s full use of today’s graphical prowess to deliver a more terrifying interpretation of rural Spain. The core gameplay also retains what made it so great back in the day, but with modern amenities such as a parrying system, quick-select for weapons and the ability to run. And despite the new improvements, the increased aggressiveness of the enemies ensures that the game never feels like a cakewalk. I don’t know who still needs to be convinced at this point, but Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece that I cannot recommend enough.
