    My favourite resident evil game I've ever played it's like a non-stop cool set piece machine. the first 2/3 is better than the last third imo but once you complete it running through again on professional difficulty is cool too. Got mercenaries to look forward to as well.

    Takes everything from the original Resident Evil (2005) release & completely transcends the meaning of a remake. This is a true piece of art the whole way through, I felt like I could feel the hell that Leon & Ashley were in. Added set pieces and areas was beautiful. The game is truly perfect in all ways.

    Played both PS5 and Series X versions front to back, and PS5 takes the crown again. FPS is solid even with ray tracing on, no visible stuttering, no major frame dips, great controls when compared to the original, a few minor tweaks and surprises within the games story that make the remake far superior to the original. Ada Wong is amazing!!! This proves once again that PS5 is easily thePlayed both PS5 and Series X versions front to back, and PS5 takes the crown again.     Lily Gao is the worse Voice actor to ever voice a character. What the hell is wrong with you capcom that you allowed her to even voice Ada wong. This is Ada wong. You know the one Sally cahill and jolene anderson two of the best to voice Ada wong. Why was Jolene Anderson Replaced!!! Why!!! Do you know how mismatched Ada looks in the Remake. It’s so bad.     GOAT remake 9 out 10, don't listen to the angry small pipi review's, it's the best game among the recent remakes, no matter how hard it get review bombed it wont change the fact that's a great game and a great remake, wait for a good review by a fan you tuber like Nerrel or UnderTheMayo, or CriticalNobody... those are the best.

    This is the best remake for me. If you thought the original was easy or too fantasy This remake of the game will surely give you a great experience.     Capcom have managed to create one of the greatest games of all time yet again. Captures everything I loved about the original, which is/was my favorite game. Leon is as cool as ever, arguably his best appearance in the series. He manages to show much more emotion in this one, while still keeping his badass attitude. One of, if not the most visually impressive game I've ever played. The RE Engine continues to be one of the most impressive engines in the industry. Overall I think this is easily the best Resident Evil game out of any of the recent releases since RE7, and arguably the best in the franchise, contending with the original. It's full of content, with my first playthrough taking over 20 hours, in comparison to RE Village taking me 11 hours. I recommend this game to anybody that's a fan of the series, survival horror games, or just third person shooters in general. I promise you will get your money's worth. Don't listen to the review bombers.… Expand

    The new engine really gives depth. This shouldn't be compared with the og though. I can't wait for RE 5. Hell even RE 6

    I really liked this game. As a player who came to this universe only this year, I liked all 3 remakes, but 4 Resident evil left too many emotions. In general, I am very pleased with Resident evil 4

    Phenomenal game, great remake. Though the lines have changed- its still as cheezy and wonderful as ever. They went real easy on additions- and none of them feel like filler - it expands on an already incredible game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It’s been a week, and I want to ramble about this game. This literally isn’t overhype, I genuinely feel as if this game perfectly nails its direction, atmosphere, tone, and characters. It’s a 10/10 for me now, I’m genuinely happy with this game. It’s literally turning iconic characters into even more iconic characters. At first, I was a little blinded by my disdain towards RE4 (2005), and despite my hype, I was very skeptical of it — but rest assured, Resident Evil 4 Remake is. It’s literally gotten rid of everything that I didn’t like about the original RE4, and also update things that didn’t necessarily make sense in the OG (like the annoying bug enemies going invisble, now they’re only capable of camouflage.) The game has AWESOME combat that makes Leon & YOU feel badass. It still keeps the headshot into roundhouse kick gameplay loop, but with a fluid animation that seams perfectly back into fast & epic gameplay, it NEVER grows as repetitive as it does in OG RE4. And c’mon — parrying?! This mechanic alone accounts for 7/10 points for the game, it is literally perfect. I’ve had many cool moments with it. Shooting a ganado in the head, hearing the phrase “Detrás de ti, imbécil,” and quickly turning around into a parry has to be one of the coolest memories. Or when I perfect parried an attack, which grants a melee opportunity, kicked the ganado onto a wall, and then ran up and stabbed his neck. Every individual fight feels raw & intense, it’s such a **** FUN game. And the story? Hella great! Good guys like Luis, Ashley, Hunnigan, and Leon himself have seen major updates to their character. Leon’s story has become more believable, with him not being “the President’s most trusted friend,” but literally the ONLY option the president has — due to a major scandal, caused by Krauser. Despite this, Leon is really gentle. When he saves the dog, instead of going on about his day, he goes “Take care, buddy.” It’s such a gentle touch to his character, that it makes you recall that rookie cop in RE2, something that the OG RE4 fails to do, imo. The game really overhauled him. Ashley got a similar treatment, gradually learning to stand out on her own & fight to survive, with an overhauled section that doesn’t actually suck. Luis?! My god, I don’t know if I have enough characters left to explain HOW MUCH I LOVE LUIS IN THIS REMAKE. I couldn’t have cared less for his death in the OG, but as the game went on, and Leon & Luis team up, that feeling of knowing his fate came upon me … and I cared for him. This game made me actually care about what RE4’s story, its characters, and most of all — they gave the merchant a personality. 10/10.… Expand

    Resident Evil 4 Remake is truly the best of the modern Resident Evil remakes to date. Every thing that has made the original game such a master piece has been enhanced. There are some notable changes to some parts to the story, but nothing that takes away from the game or effects it in a negative way.     Such changes are the exclusion of the U - 3 boss fight, the run a away truck section right before the castle. The PRLS has been removed as well.

    New additions to the game are the charms, that add buffs like 8% faster walk speed, that can be earned in the shooting range mini games. There is also a new weapon called the bolt thrower which has retrievable ammo. Resident Evil 4 remake has no lack of unlockable content either. over a dozen accessories and Ashley's iconic armor set. The hand cannon makes a return, this time by being unlocked by beating pro mode on a new save, much easier unlock this time around.

    Mercenaries comes out in about a week, so there will be no lack of content for RE4 fans. Luis is being added to the mode. Seperate Ways DLC has been datamined so it will be released at a later date.

    My only real complaint about the game is Ada Wong's lack luster voice actor. but that is a small complaint.

    Ive read other reviews and I don't see how people think the game is so hard, it is considerably easier then the original game. I had no issues on normal mode, actually the game felt to easy. But I guess some people just can't handle a good game.

    The story of the game is a mediocre story, the gameplay is very enjoyable and attractive, in terms of visuals, it is equal to Cross Gen 2023 games and has a stunning visual, the main boss fights are very similar to each other. The sound design of the game is wonderful, the enemies have a good variety and only one new type of enemy has been added to the remake compared to the original version.

    Resident Evil 4 Remake not only does right by its original source of inspiration, but it also sets a high bar for what modern day remakes can be. All components of the story have been finetuned into a more well-thought out package, and that’s before mentioning the game’s full use of today’s graphical prowess to deliver a more terrifying interpretation of rural Spain. The core gameplay also retains what made it so great back in the day, but with modern amenities such as a parrying system, quick-select for weapons and the ability to run. And despite the new improvements, the increased aggressiveness of the enemies ensures that the game never feels like a cakewalk. I don’t know who still needs to be convinced at this point, but Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece that I cannot recommend enough.
