    Great game, I would love to rated as 10, but its truth that there is room for improvement in Graphics and Mechanics of the game, either way, its still one of the most enjoyable and iconic games that i have played in the last months,

    sinceramente amei o jogo ele melhorou quase tudo do antigo e ele esta bem otimizado para o pc consigo rodar muito bem em um pc com 8 de ram e um ryzen 3200g com o gráfico integrado consigo rodar o jogo a base de 60 a 45 fps obrigado capcom só não dou 10 por falta do U3 porque o resto esta bom

    Melhor remake da saga de todos. Simplismente a melhor adaptação feita, e quero agradecer a Capcom e outros envolvidos nesse projeto. Espero futuramente que outros remakes da obra sejam fiéis e que RE9 seja outro sucesso. ✨

    IMO one of the best remakes ever made, and it’s definitely the best Resident Evil remake. Gameplay feels very fresh and is extremely fun and rewarding once you master the parry system! I definitely recommend playing this game. The game is also very re playable and you’re rewarded for doing so, Mercenaries game mode also dropping next week so there will be a ton more stuff to do.     I played the original, and compared to this...the original feels like it's how a group of grunts retell missions in a bar, this feels more like the actual debrief upon returning stateside. It's more plausible. And that's just story beats. Bit longer, not a problem, more puzzles, that's a staple to the original ip.     GOAT remake 9 out 10, don't listen to the angry small pipi review's, it's the best game among the recent remakes, no matter how hard it get review bombed it wont change the fact that's a great game and a great remake, wait for a good review by a fan you tuber like Nerrel or UnderTheMayo, or CriticalNobody... those are the best.

    My favourite resident evil game I've ever played it's like a non-stop cool set piece machine. the first 2/3 is better than the last third imo but once you complete it running through again on professional difficulty is cool too. Got mercenaries to look forward to as well.

    Great game, I´m really glad that it is an experience that can stand side by side to the original without trying to supplant it. My one gripe was Ada´s voice acting was not very good but other than that, it was amazing.

I played the original last year and even tho I really enjoyed it I felt like the castle and the island acts (especially the island) were a little boring. This remake changed that a bit. The castle section has a horror vibe to it that the original didn't and the island act is more enjoyable than the 2005 one with changes to pacing that helps the overall feeling. The gameplay feels almost perfect, I just think the enemies shouldn't be so spongie. If I had to rate the 3 acts (location, bosses, immersion) it would be:

    Village - 10/10 (Peak gaming, no other game gives you the vibe this act gives.)
    Castle - 9/10 (Sounds like a dumb location but it somehow works well in the remake)
    Island - 7.5/10 (When you think about an island in a horror game you think something like dead island or a desert island. This is a military based one that breaks the immersion the other 2 acts gave you and almost turns the game into call of duty.)    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Another fine remake (yes, i even like RE3) from Capcom. Not as needed as RE2 and RE3 was,but nevertheless a great job. RE engine visuals are top notch, music and sound effects add a lot to the atmosphere, gameplay is superior to the original by adding a few things (parry system/instant weapon swap/aim while moving) and voice acting is also better except Ada which seems a little out of place. Areas have been changed a bit, especially in the castle section,a few things added and some are missing, though not as much as RE3 and bosses are all more memorable and intense encounters compared to the original, especially Krauser. Ashley is still inept beyond words but her section is quite good. Anyone who hasn't played the original, the remake is a must buy. If you did play though it depends whether or not you hold this game in high regard, just like me. In that case go ahead and grab it. It was a masterpiece back in 2005 and it still is, even more now with this updated version. Finally a videogame of few words and much gameplay. Action packed - moody - bloody - intense.

    PS. People that review bomb it are halfwits, no matter if you think it was worth the remake or not ,or you don't like the new voice acting and some minor changes in dialogue, that doesn't make the game bad.    … Expand

    Graphics and optimization could be better, but keep in mind that the game comes out on the old generation of consoles too. However, the gameplay, redesigned locations and plot, character models, music, voice acting - a strong nine.

    Dam good game. Best remake I have played in years. Have updated gaming mechanics while staying true to the source material. Capcom gave this the attention and detail it definitely required. Some small changes were made to the characters, story and setting but overall it was a great update to a masterpiece classic

The story is more fleshed out with meaningful additions, the major characters are improved, and the gameplay is even more fun than before with greater challenge.     They change the merchant and add the trade section which made do the side quest more useless and they also change how the treasures work and add the mechanic which you have to combine the treasure to make it more valuable
    The only thing negative that I have to say is sometimes the 3rd person camera “shrink” when a enemy is near you and is difficult to shot the enemy
    I suggest you yo play this game on ps5 or Xbox Series X because on old gen the environment textures are bad and most of time they don’t load
    Overall they changed a lot and made the remake better than the original and I recommend this game to you    … Expand

    Vraiment excellent. Je suis fun fan du jeu original, je le fais chaque année. Et donc mes attentes ont été difficile à contenter. Mais il a quasi réussi.
    C'est simple, ce jeu a été fait par un fan qui connait les subtilités du jeu original mais aussi celles des speedrunners.

    Jogo excelente! mas deveria ter mudado algumas coisas básicas, por exemplo: Munição dropando de inimigos que não usam armas de fogo, pegar munição em barris e caixas, aqueles baús também espalhados em qualquer canto é sem nexo, ( dentro de uma casa ok. ) Leon, carregar um arsenal consigo e sacar os equipamentos do nada, enfim... detalhes legais assim como em Red Dead Redemption.

    Resident Evil 4 Remake is a masterpiece. I've never thought a remake could be this good (I've played the original game). The first 10-20 minutes of the game is the most exciting and thrilling thing you could ever imagine. You walk around the area then you found out there is some crazy villager in the area then you get to a huge village then thrill ride begins.

    Not only that but they take some iconic parts of the original, throw in some RE engine magic and from a plain and boring section of the game into "man i remembered this thing used to be a long path to the next section". A good example would be the Mendez boss fight. In the original you shoot the guy but the remake you shoot the guy then his body is separated he grabs on to the burning house throwing stuff at you. Pair this with the new mechanic and it's just the best thing you could experience.

    [im not saying the original is bad here but these expanded section is extremely fun]

    The only downside of the game is that ashley tend to get stuck when walking through complex maps and stuff. AND OF COURSE cut content. U3 was cut from the game so don't expect that.

    Before you buy the game consider this:

    This won't be that much of a Survival-horror game like RE2 remake the game is much much more action packed but still have that item management.

    Overall good game, good remake

The game does a great job of balancing both horror and action with of course a dip of cheesiness. The gameplay itself is entertaining, I really enjoyed going around kicking infected villagers in the face while Leon said some cheesy one-liners. I enjoyed exploring the map and learning the lore of the village while doing the small little side quests for The Merchant which was a nice addition. The story was somewhat engaging with my only complaint being I wish some characters were fleshed out a little, especially Saddler who if I'm being honest is just another generic villain. Thankfully Krauser takes center stage as the villain for a certain amount of time which helps me forgive the generic main villain problem. Other characters such as Ada and Luis were super fun to watch and even fight alongside, making for some memorable moments. Ashley however was a stand-out, thankfully making her less of a damsel in distress and more of a partner in a tag team dynamic. Compared to the original, it doesn't land some of the same marks but the new and refreshing changes help make this remake feel completely new and familiar, and with those changes, there was nothing to cause me to throw a hissy fit. Overall it’s a fun Resident Evil game and I’ll say it regardless of the user score, I loved it and I personally think this is the definitive way to play RE4. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinions so there's mine.

    Side note: I finished the game right before the micro transactions and mercenary update which if I’m being honest just never really interested me but I’m happy they threw it in for the people that did ask for it. I do hope they add Separate Ways soon because I LOVED this Ada and thought the voice actor did a wonderful job making her mysterious and intriguing and I would like to see more.    … Expand

    Fantastic remake. I'm a huge fan of the original, and I think this 2023 game delivers. It is magnificent, the rhythm and the fights are intense. I was skeptical about the side quests at first, but ultimately they're welcome breathers. In short, all good!

    I think the game is solid, it didn't perhaps grab me as it did other people but it is definitely worthy of anyone's time who likes survival horror games. The game stays mostly true to the original, but the controls and gameplay are simply perfect, unlike the original. It’s nice to have this run on nearly 60 fps on the PS5, and the game looks incredible. I would have given this a 9 or 10, but they left out the “It” boss fight in the island section, and that was one of my favorite boss fights in the whole franchise. Also, I was hoping they would have expanded on the Island section, but it seems they actually cut some small areas of that last third part of the game. Otherwise, this is easily my top 3 RE games, along with the RE2 remake, and the og RE1.… Expand

The lack of ammo and bullet sponge enemies and looking for keys to so many locked doors isn't fun to me BUT assist mode makes it work for me. I, and many others, consider the original Resident Evil 4 to be one of the most revolutionary and ground breaking video games of all time, which is why it was such a risk for Capcom to remake it. However, this risk has--for the mostXbox Series X Review - I am a fairly large fan of the Resident Evil, or 'Biohazard', franchise and have played through many of the games at least once. I, and many others, consider the original Resident Evil 4 to be one of the most revolutionary and ground breaking video games of all time, which is why it was such a risk for Capcom to remake it. However, this risk has--for the most part--payed off. The gameplay is a massive upgrade when compared to the originals somewhat dated combat. The introduction of knife parrying and modern third-person shooting mechanics makes the games updated combat feel fluent and extraordinarily fun. The game also looks great, is decently written, and has a lot more eerie 'survival horror' elements than the original, which is A OK with me. That being said, there are some sections of the game that are just flat out unfair and a grind to get through, with unending waves of enemies piling on to you, at times seemingly out of nowhere. Much like the original games, the last 1/3 of the game also feels like a bit of a grind, as well as a bit tonally off. Also, despite the game looking fantastic, the lighting/gamma seemed oversaturated when in the outside sections of Salazar Castle; this could be a problem on my end though, so think of this more as a nitpick. Generally though, I do recommend playing this game. Even with these flaws, Resident Evil 4 is still a fun and wild ride that celebrates the parts of the original 2004 game that made it such an awesome experience.… Expand

My only issue with this remake is some of the content from the original has been cut from the game and Adas voice acting is not good by any means she sounds like she's phone calling in her line's.     This game is technically amazing in many ways. The game play, boss mechanics, map design, enemy variability and graphics are all excellent. The escort missions with Ashley make this game stand out from other Resident Evil games and give it a unique style of play. However, I did not find Resident Evil 4 scary and the storyline was forgetful.

    Optional modes were not included at first but the other day the launched an update that includes the Mercenaries (free of charge) mode from the original and maybe they do the same with Ada Wong play mode. The only thing I have to say is that apparently many voices in Spanish are not included, so for example there are conversations where one character is talking and has no voice, but the rest do. I think they will be patching this as soon as they recorded every voice.

    Edit: I take 2 points away of the game being a 8/10 since they included microtransactions in the game. Apparently there is a common practice these days for the companies releasing games without microtransactions and then after a few days they update the game and allow you to pay for winning. What we used to do with cheat codes now we do with cheat wallets. Disgusting practices. I'm all against microtransactions and I'm taking out 2 points.    … Expand

    I always find it difficult to form an opinion on the RE Engine, it still impresses me so much in the interiors, the modeling of the characters is correct but still this wax doll effect and I think it's a shame that a game like Uncharted 4 who is already 7 years old does much better. Outdoors the overall rendering remains good but some textures are bad. The rain is hideous and makes visibility complicated, moreover if you look towards the sky the rain simply disappears, average...

    RE4 remains a game with generous content, passages have been removed, others have been created, it suits me perfectly, the rhythm is very good despite a somewhat repetitive corridor/arena structure but difficult to do otherwise in the genre.

    I really liked the gameplay, I didn't find Leon too heavy, perhaps a possible slowness in aiming but which can be adjusted to suit its convenience in the options which are numerous. Small disappointment on certain phases such as the fight against Del Lago which allows itself to be less good, less epic than in the original. On PS5 excellent use of triggers and haptic feedback which offer very good sensations in exploration as in combat.

    In conclusion, very satisfied with this remake, which is at least a real game worthy of the name, with a real playful interest and its press ratings are quite understandable unlike a certain Hogwarts Legacy. A greatly improved visual and gameplay, a scenario also made less kitsch, it's a real pleasure to explore this universe, solve the puzzles, find all the treasures, do the side quests. Также есть доп. активности, нужные для фарма особых камушков, которые потом обмениваешь на разные плюшки у торгаша. И вот с проработкой этих квестов почти не парились, задания максимально банальные (убей крыс, сбей медальоны) и повторяются, за исключением пары оригинальных. Есть тир, который позволит и навыки стрельбы подтянуть, и выиграть разные бонусы вроде снижения стоимости апгрейдов, прикольная активность. В оригинал не играл, но говорят, что в целом в игре много чего поменяли, и в лучшую сторону - почти не осталось QTE, больше развили некоторых персонажей вроде Луиса, обновили механику ножа, добавили примитивный стелс, осовременили лвлдизайн и т.п. А вот что не нужно было добавлять так это магазин с микротранзакциями, в сингловой игре за фуллпрайс он нахер не нужен, а только руинит баланс и показывает жадность капком, что 70$ за ремейк им мало. Мало того, еще и длс с Адой не завезли, оно выйдет позже в этом году и 100% будет платным...
    Если же упускать момент с магазином, игра однозначно стоит внимания, это лучший хоррор экшн на данный момент.    … Expand

    The game is basically exactly you expect it to be. A modernized version of Resident Evil 4, with heavily updated gameplay and amazing visuals.
    But somehow they managed to make the game feel too long. By the time I reached the military island in the final section, I just wished the game would finally end.

    Looks very good but the fram rate for moments is a shame, controling Leon is trying to move a sack of potatoes. Seems Capcom puts all they efforts of fluidity only in Leon's hair. Nevertheless it's an awesome new version of the best resident evil ever. I really loved the new Ashley.

    I think it's a great game. It's just as great and as flawed as the original in different ways. The graphics are great and the questionable elements of the story have been improved. However, the controls are clunky and Leon is extremely slow.

    Resident Evil 4 remake is everything I wanted! It’s great! However, I am very disappointed in the fact I put 13 hours in the game to make it to Luis’s lab and the key is gone. I’ve tried researching a fix, but so far no good.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don't review games often but this game fell victim to troll websites who want to push down the rating on purpose. On the other hand im not going to let that influence my rating at all. This is just my honest opinion as a Resident Evil fan.

    As an OG Resident Evil fan i played the classics to death back in the 90's. When Re4 came out back in 2005 i wasnt the biggest fan of the change but i wanted to give it a chance because im always up for new things. What can i say? the game was amazing. I still favoured the classics and im not one of the people who say that OG re4 is the best re game but i would have given re4 a solid 8/10. for my review i will mostly compare re4 remake to the original re4 game from 2005.

    With all that in mind,
    lets review re4 remake.

    Story
    The story in RE4R is Way better than it was in OG RE4. The devs managed to stay truthful to the story and only a few minor things were changed.
    those changes actually made the story better. Pretty much every single character and every relationship in the game has more depth and is much more plausible than it was in the original. The original had a very, very simple, cheesy story. most characters were pretty flat. It was okay for the time but RE4R modernized it.
    Now im not saying that OG re4's story or characters were bad. Everyone loved leon after re4, and i also know that there are people who love OG re4's story for its cheesiness and its over the top action and silliness, i myself love OG re1 for its silly plot and dialogue.
    But RE4R's modern, more serious approach really made the story allot better, and find it hard to think about things i didnt like, the only thing i could come up with is Adas and krausers voice actors, who could have been more truthful to the originals or at least stayed truthful to RE2R Ada. Other than that, Leon may have been more iconic in the original but i think that comes down to personal preferance and personally i really like the new re2r and re4r Leon. Hes funny and badass while still maintaining a certain amount of seriousness that the OG Leon was missing in many parts. He also seems allot more vulnerable which helps me to identify myself with the character. Again im not saying that OG Leon was bad or that RE4R Leon is better. I'm saying RE4R Leon is not bad either.

    Visuals&Graphics

    The graphics Are beautiful for 2023 and are definitely an upgrade from OG re4's graphics and even from RE2R's graphics. Many sections in the game have a darker, thicker atmosphere than the OG did. One of the biggest problems classic fans had with OG re4 was that it wasn't very scary, and while RE4R isnt exactly the scariest game in the series, it definately feels way scarier than the OG.

    Audio.
    The audio is great too. Gun sounds and effects sound satisfying and realistic. The OST stays truthful to the original. i noticed allot of remixed songs from the original on my first playthrough. only bad thing would be the voice actors of ada and krauser as mentioned earlier. Krauser wasn't bad, but the voice actor was too far away from the OG krauser, which made it kinda difficult to get used to him.

    Game&Level design
    Once again the devs managed to stay truthful to the OG. Specific sections in the game were so close to the original that i knew what would happen next or how to fight certain enemies. They kept all the important stuff in the game and extended well known areas from the OG and added new stuff. Of course some things were cut and theres one big thing that shouldnt have been cut from the game, which is the U3 bossfight. U3 not being in the game is probably the biggest problem the game has. Other than that, It is not clear if there will be seperate ways and assignment Ada. But out of the new remake trilogy, RE4R is probably the one that stayed the most truthful to the original.

    Gameplay
    I played OG re4 in preperation for the remake and one thing that i noticed immediately were the outdated controls. The OG was meant to be played on a GC controller back in the day and it still had tank controls. Getting used to that was a mess. RE4R comes with modern controls and it just works. However, I have to criticise RE4R's gameplay. Compared to RE2R and RE3R, Leon doesnt always move how i want him to move and the camera doesnt always do what i want. I really don't understand what went wrong here. The mellee animations look very impressive tho and the new stealth attacks feel very satisfying. Overall very nice but cam control could have been a little better.

    Conclusion
    The devs really tried to stay very close to the OG and they delivered! RE4 Remake is just as good, if not better than the original. It did not fail neither as a Remake nor as a Resident Evil game. Its not perfect and there are a few changes but im not one of those nitpicky people who are never satisfied, who hate change and who want an almost identical copy of the OG. RE4 Remake has everything i want from a remake.    … Expand

    Generally the game-play is good but to be honest, it is harder than the original RE4. One shot is not enough to kill a normal target zombie under standard. It will be harsh for some players.
    If the level can be adjust or super easy (compare to original maybe somehow standard level?) can be added, it would be better.
    Overall to say, I love this game and I don't think it deserves 0 in some reviews.

    Un muy buen Remake, no tan bueno como el 2, pero eso es ya por el juego mismo, el 2 es el mejor. La isla pudo ser algo recortada y la participación de Ada pudo haber sido incrementada.

    there is counterpoints in the technical aspects, like the laser sight no longer being a genuine 3D model but just another element of the UI or the effect of bullets on enemies being much more focused towards the survival horror of Resident Evil 2 while this is an action game with a very unsettling tonality, but an action game in the end.

    overall it's an excelent game with brilliant organic moments, its engine constantly makes out of every battle an ultra violent frenetic scenario and the soundtrack brings nothing but even more atmosphere and tension into it. i won't give it a 10 because i think no work will ever deserve a perfect note.    … Expand

    The story of the game is a mediocre story, the gameplay is very enjoyable and attractive, in terms of visuals, it is equal to Cross Gen 2023 games and has a stunning visual, the main boss fights are very similar to each other. The sound design of the game is wonderful, the enemies have a good variety and only one new type of enemy has been added to the remake compared to the original version.

    Resident Evil 4 Remake not only does right by its original source of inspiration, but it also sets a high bar for what modern day remakes can be. All components of the story have been finetuned into a more well-thought out package, and that’s before mentioning the game’s full use of today’s graphical prowess to deliver a more terrifying interpretation of rural Spain. The core gameplay also retains what made it so great back in the day, but with modern amenities such as a parrying system, quick-select for weapons and the ability to run. And despite the new improvements, the increased aggressiveness of the enemies ensures that the game never feels like a cakewalk. I don’t know who still needs to be convinced at this point, but Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece that I cannot recommend enough.
