I just love the game. Imaginative and super well designed. The ability to play campaign and adventure mode with the same character and switching between the 2 seamlessly is really awesome! Fight with him is amazing and very rewarding once it clicks. At first you just feel like this is too much... but then you see the patterns and it's like a ballet. Very cool. I have some minor issues with runes, because the upgrades they give you are so small it almost feel like it's not worth investing in them at all and would like there to be more armours and consumables maybe... but it is really a game worth playing. Don't miss it! Expand

Especially the co-op mode is fun again and together against the tasks faster and more pleasant over. The graphics and the soundtrack are simply great and round off the very positive overall impression of "Remnant 2". Those who would like to play together should gladly try out the sequel to "Remnant: From the Ashes". Expand

I had an absolute blast playing this game. There are definitely a few things I wish were better but the core gameplay mechanics are there and the devs did an amazing job, especially for $50 retail. Definitely buying all DLC and hopes the successful sales of this game will allow the devs to continue to make amazing games. Maybe not GotY but the most fun I’ve had in a while!

Probably my favorite game of 2023 so far.

I cannot stop playing it, and even after 120 hours of playtime, i keep discovering new stuff. If you enjoyed the first game, it is basically the same thing with much more

Solid 9 rating and easy recommendation for anyone looking to play a challenging “Souls Like” style game on their PlayStation 5

The reason is because in Remant from the ashes you could always play to receive traits points so I was having fun helping peoples just to boost my traits, at least there was this little personnal goal.
But in Remnant 2 they had the very bad idea to block the traits points gathering at 60 so now after completing the game, did beat every boss solo, after 35 hours I feel bored and I don't see any good reason to keep playing.
Don't get me wrong Remnant is a good game, I like the new class system, the gameplay is still great, the graphic are nice but it feel shorter than the first game without even tinking about the limit in traits points.
    Story is average.
    Sound is fine.
It's the same lame coop system where you need to touch a crystal to reset, that cause chaos when you are 3 peoples online but that do the job at least.
It could have been game of the year for me but it really piss me off to see the animation on the screen when I receive a new trait points but it doesn't count because i'm already at 60.
Sadly it's more like a deception than a master piece.

Enemy boss encounters are interesting and a breath of fresh air. There are puzzles to solve instead of just mindlessly plowing through sprites with a left mouse click like Diablo. When you find new "loot" its exciting instead of a chore (like it is in Diablo).

Remnant is an incredible game and deserves all the accolades I am sure are coming for it. Its definitely my game of the year.

The only problem i encounter through out the game is performance most specifically bugs where you'll get stuck in a boss fight without enemies spawning leaving you quite disappointed especially when you're halfway in a fight but i just encounter this bug twice and only exist when you have a mini gank boss fight.

    9/10 a must play.

Developer Gunfire Games returns with the more polished sequel Remnant II. Players itching for an open world of brutality can take on a randomized campaign for hours of entertainment. Like its predecessor, the plot steps away from the forefront while the gameplay does all the talking. Defend yourself and your teammates against swarms of deadwood, and other massive entities until you conquer The Root. The immersive atmosphere and quick thinking mechanics will be your best distraction this year. In all, this sequel displays Gunfire Games' efforts in listening to their fandom and polishing that feedback. Any gamer can find enjoyment and satisfaction when they tune in unaccompanied, but the real fun begins once your friends join the fight.
