    Really good game, in my opinion this is so far the best Ratchet and Clank game. The story are very good and graphics on PS5 is outstanding, ray tracing is amazing. Overall this is a very good game, highly recommend it to any PS5 users.

    Awesome looking game with a great combat system. Can be played quickly or slowly with many choices during fights, due to a big amount of upgradeable guns and other gameplay mechanics. With around 15 to 20 hours for some people maybe a bit too short, but i extremly enjoyed this wonderfull game.

    La verdad es que desde chico he sido fan de Ratchet y Clank up your arsenal, Tools of destruction y A crack in time es uno de los títulos que logre jugar y son una maravilla innegablemente pero Rift apart pese a no ser mi favorito logro ganarse mi corazon y muchas risas es maravilloso las armas, las mecánicas de portales, las bestias, lo hermoso de los niveles y la gran historia sonLa verdad es que desde chico he sido fan de Ratchet y Clank up your arsenal, Tools of destruction y A crack in time es uno de los títulos que logre jugar y son una maravilla innegablemente pero Rift apart pese a no ser mi favorito logro ganarse mi corazon y muchas risas es maravilloso las armas, las mecánicas de portales, las bestias, lo hermoso de los niveles y la gran historia son fabulosas es mi segundo favorito de la saga y de momento en mi opinión en mejor juego de ps5 tanto exclusivos como multis.     Ich bin wirklich kein übergroßer Ratchet & Clank Spiel und das obwohl ich bis jetzt jedes Spiel gespielt habe, egal ob auf Heimonsolen, oder auf den Handhelds, aber dieses Spiel hat mich wirklich überrascht, abgesehen von der unfassbar schönen und spektakulären Grafik, hat dieses Spiel auch noch so viel mehr zu bieten. Die Geschichte ist sehr spannend und an manchen Punkten extremIch bin wirklich kein übergroßer Ratchet & Clank Spiel und das obwohl ich bis jetzt jedes Spiel gespielt habe, egal ob auf Heimonsolen, oder auf den Handhelds, aber dieses Spiel hat mich wirklich überrascht, abgesehen von der unfassbar schönen und spektakulären Grafik, hat dieses Spiel auch noch so viel mehr zu bieten. Die Geschichte ist sehr spannend und an manchen Punkten extrem spektakulär inszeniert (Ich sage nur die Flucht vor der Krake), zudem gefallen mir die neuen Protagonisten Rivet und Kid auch extrem, sie sind lustig, liebenswert und haben zudem jeweils eine sehr gute Hintergrund Geschichte, das einzige was man dem Spiel vorwerfen kann ist die extrem kurze Spielzeit von etwa 6 Stunden, denn sogar das für die kurze Spielzeit von Fans gehasste (aber von mir trotzdem geliebte) The Order 1868 hat immerhin eine Story die etwa 10 Stunden umfasst. Auch wenn diese kurze Spielzeit durchaus schade ist und man für 70€ eigentlich mehr bekommen sollte muss ich dem Spiel einfach 10 Punkte geben.
    Ich kann jedem einzelnen, egal ob groß, oder klein nur empfehlen dieses Spiel zu spielen.

    I have played previous versions of this game. And this one is the best in my opinion. The graphics are beautiful, the music is great, the script is also great. I recommend it for big and small people.

    I love this game! I just wish it was longer and focused more on Ratchet. The graphics and the dual sense controller were great. Definitely a must play!

To start with the graphics, this game (which is obviously not meant to be realistic) works with Ray Tracing and resolution like a blacksmith with a swotd. It is one of the best-looking games the console has to offer, among Demon's Souls, Spiderman MilesNo matter if this is your first Ratchet and Clank game or you've been following the franchise for a long time this title is for everyone. To start with the graphics, this game (which is obviously not meant to be realistic) works with Ray Tracing and resolution like a blacksmith with a swotd. It is one of the best-looking games the console has to offer, among Demon's Souls, Spiderman Miles Morales and Returnal. You will feel astonished by the lighting, and the palette of colors, and the details put into EVERY character. Even in the ones who don't play a crucial role in the story.
    The gameplay is also worth mentioning. Every R and C game shines in a unique way because of the gameplay, and this is no difference. I won't spoil you so I cannot specify more, but I will say that you will have a great time and a feeling of pure joy. Of course this is not a perfect game as such thing is impossible, in fact it still has to polish a bit more removing some bugs... However this game really is worth of the price and I absolutely believe everyone who gives it a try will fall in love with the story and the evolution of the characters.    … Expand

    Truly a next gen game! Also as a mild ratchet fan this is an instant classic that is easily one of the best in the series. Nothing to complain about. Ratchet improves so much visually with each installment, I can’t even fathom how good the next one will look!

    this game is not perfect at all but is still very GREAT i like the fact the game give to the player a new little robot like clank,i love the story, i, love new charapters, new weapons; difects: very bad humor,no plumber and too short but i love it, if you have already a ps5 buy it, you won't regret it.

    - smaller issues with clipping/falling
    - no online
    - no real secondary questing / planet exploring
    - no custom lobbies
    - difficulties to chose: easy - easy - easy or easy
    - weapons too strong, too easy to level and too much ammo (easy addition could be to make certain enemies more vulnerable to certain weapons)
    - no actual challenge runs (specfic weapons, no raritarium,...)
    Pros:
    + astonishing story and cinematics
    + almost as perfect use of dual sense as astrobot
    + graphics/performance balanced perfectly
    + good audio with alot of humor and gimmicky lines
    + cool hoverboot concept as the only real extension to a not existent sandbox - also broke all maps/made them rather irrelevant in design appeal
    + good characters, kit and rivet fit the unverse really well
    + nice controls
    + really well made UI/UX
    + really lovable photo mode
    + cinematic presentation and interesting settings
    + weapon upgrades had some good twists and features
    + lovable worlds and creatures

    + good base with room for "game service" updates that would justify 75$ (planets, challenge runs with awards on save file or in rivets hideout, multiplayer, horde arenas, another boss design to make it at least 2 bosses,... so much potential to justify 75$)

    Resulting:

    10/10 first playthrough when you want a casual experience
    - make it 9/10 because the price tag

    7.8/10 up to 8.1/10 in total considering you want a video game and not a 75$ movie with potential to 10/10 when introduing i.e. a "game as a service" 2-year-roadmap.

The planets are painfully linear and designed with very little creativity; the new "gadgets" acting as design crutches to thoughtlessly warp from point-A-to-B rather than requiring the developer to cleverly design the layout of the planets to wrap around themselves in new and interesting ways present in past releases. Think of the map differences between Dark Souls 1 and 2 for comparison.

    The vast majority of weapons are re-skins of past entries which is honestly fine as most RaC weapons are fun in and of themselves, but again nothing really "new" or "innovative" here. Combat feels a little clunky and I attribute a lot of that to many enemies' homing attacks which hit with very little warning as well as the lowered camera and more "over the shoulder" view present in most modern games rather than the higher camera views that allow more viewing area. The sub-bosses are very limited; approximately three to four throughout the whole game that are re-skinned over and over. The boss fights are pretty epic and grandiose, a high point of the game for sure alongside the eye-candy of the grind rail sections which are beautiful the first time but utterly forgettable and bereft of interaction compared to previous entries.

    The arena, a staple in every major Ratchet release, is painfully lacking. The puzzles start strong but fizzle over time as nothing really changes from puzzle to puzzle and no new elements are introduced. The "side missions" with the hacking robot are painfully simple and straightforward. More than anything they highlight the writers' inability to create interesting characters beyond ham-fistedly harping on their "positive qualities" until I'm sick to death of hearing them reassure themselves every four seconds. The pocket dimension challenges are anything but challenging mostly consisting of linear jaunts over a few asteroids toward an armor pickup and a rift skip back to the beginning. Same goes for the Gold Bolts, most of which sit idly in fields or just around easily-accessible corners. Exploration in this game is almost non-existent and very slimly rewarded when present.

    My first playthrough lasted around 10 hours, and to be honest a huge majority of that time is spent watching cutscenes and story, which is also pretty mediocre and standard fare. Challenge mode is going to take far less time, and I honestly don't know if I'm even going to finish it.

    Compared to the older titles in the series Rift Apart is a mediocre, uninspiring Ratchet entry that's worth a rent but definitely doesn't live up to the $70 price tag. Once the initial shock of the graphics wears off and people start realizing how weak this game is under the hood I expect the scores will steadily decline.

    I regard the original trilogy as the best trilogy in PS history for reference, and this will be the first Ratchet and Clank game I sell after completing. This series is no longer worthy of pre-orders, and I absolutely hate that they've migrated away from innovative, fun gameplay with solid replay value in favor of graphics, set-pieces, "movie stories", and more of an instant gratification layout.

    If I had to give a negative it is a bit short for the price however considering all the other advancements and work that has gone in a sacrifice of length is worth it. If you spend time doing all side quests and collectibles you can probably finish the game in 12-14hrs depending how quick you are. There's multiple types of puzzle missions that are all entertaining. 0 load times make for a game that runs incredibly smoothly. I don't think there's something in this game I can change to improve it tbh. While it is short compared to some other R&C games, it is on par with the first ratchet and Clank or into the nexus in terms of length the extra content makes it worth it and the narrative also fits very well into the current length.… Expand

Enjoying the game and its 10 hours or so and if you going for the Platinum its more. Dont listen to those biased Xbox fanboys who didnt even play the game but are scoring 0 to satisfy their ego since they have nothing to play.. The only tiny things that bother me is the "decent" story, "decent" writing, and the fact that Ratchet feels slightly overshadowed by Rivet. I would've liked at least one more planet with Ratchet, considering thatGameplay and graphics are absolutely outstanding as they usually are for Ratchet & Clank games. Voice acting is great for the most part, and the animations are nearly perfect.     In terms of gameplay, graphics, story and fluid combat mechanics this game is a clear 10/10 to me. The game performs incredibly well with practically no loading times, no bluescreens, no frame dips and looks absolutely stunning. The sound could use a bit more room depths for enhanced surround systems but besides that also performs very well. One small let down for me is the price of 79.99€In terms of gameplay, graphics, story and fluid combat mechanics this game is a clear 10/10 to me. The game performs incredibly well with practically no loading times, no bluescreens, no frame dips and looks absolutely stunning. The sound could use a bit more room depths for enhanced surround systems but besides that also performs very well. One small let down for me is the price of 79.99€ for the standard edition for a 15hr platinum game on standard difficulty and at times I feel they recycled certain enemies (one boss in particular) a bit too much. Also you can get stuck easily at some places. Still the game is insanely fun and time flies while playing it which is why I decided to give it a 10 but I would recommend to wait for a small price drop of 10-20% if you are tight on the money side. I think the playtime will vary between 8 to 20hrs depending on how good you are, if you go for story only or 100% and which difficulty you pick.

    * The Fidelity graphics mode is unplayable and so sluggish it makes my eyes bleed. In a fast paced action game like this, I don't expect anyone will actually play with this mode.     * The Fidelity graphics mode is unplayable and so sluggish it makes my eyes bleed. In a fast paced action game like this, I don't expect anyone will actually play with this mode.     * Ratchet and Rivet only differs in visuals. Would have been more interesting if they had unique abilities.
    * The difficulty is poorly balanced. The hardest one is just unfair while the second to hardest is very easy. Considering there are 5 difficulties, they could have done a better job with balancing them.
    * The game is too short. Paying $80 for a game that can be compelted in 10 hours is just meh, combined with that it has little to no replay value as you can unluck everything in your first playthough.
    * Crashes and bugs. I had 3 crashes in my playthrough. Once I got stuck in geometry forcing me to restart. Once I got stuck in a weapon video which forced me to restart, and every now and then the reflections in helmets etc bork out, producing black flickering squares.

    Verdict:

    Definitely a must have for anyone with a PS5. The game is very good, but I had expected more. If you're not a huge fan of the series, you might want to wait until it's on sale, as the value for money is quite low consdering you can pay $50 for games that gives you 50+h worth of playtime.    … Expand

    - Gameplay is varied and consistently entertaining. There's a good mix of combat and puzzles and the mix of linear levels vs open-areas keeps things fresh.
    - Improved traversal and mobility (with one exception).
    - Great arsenal of unique weapons.
    - Collectibles that are actually worth collecting.
    - Dualsense implementation was excellent. And not just for weaponry. You can actually feel the footsteps of your character and the bass of certain pieces of music in your controller.
    - Fantastic music. From the overall score to a techno remix of the old sea shanty 'drunken sailor'. The music really helps to create the right atmosphere.
    - A good length. Not bloated and doesn't overstay its welcome.

    Cons:
    - The usual 'just released' game bugs.
    - Removal of climbing makes traversal frustrating at times. And seems at odds with the many improvements made to mobility.
    - Could do with more unique bosses.
    - Edges and textures (Ratchet/Rivet's fur in particular) can occasionally look pixelated. Although, I'm not entirely certain whether this is a fault of the game itself or my settings.

    Overall, I'm giving the game a 10/10. Are there some flaws? Yes, but the game has been such a joy to play that I don't really want to knock any points off that score. Insomniac have absolutely blown it out of the park.    … Expand

    An absolute visual treat, this game definitely feels like a Pixar game. With amazing new characters and a wild variety of weapons, this game is a solid continuation for the long running series and a great place for new players to start their journey. Kudos to Insomniac Games for releasing yet another absolutely fantastic game can’t wait to see what their future games are gonna look like.

    This game si just perfect, it’s fun to play, the graphic is the best I’ve experience so far, the dualsense make the game a lot more fun! For me is totally worth the price. For who complains it’s too short; play AC valhalla, 35 hours of boring nonsense missions. I prefer much more a game dense of meaningful missions, with a compelling story.

    Primo to the creamo.

    A pinch short for my liking although I perma smashed it non stop.

    Once you get to a certain point in the game it really opens up and you realise it’s the best Ratchet and Clank yet !

    Graphics are schlicko m’bicko.

    Sequel will be Rivet and Kit (fingers crossed)

    Amazing game definitely up there with going commando, up your arsenal and a crack in time. Wish the game was a bit longer since I enjoyed every minute of it. 10/10 for me, looking forward to the next game if they decide time make one.

    Llevo casi el 50% del juego y realmente es una maravilla gráfica , las animaciónes , el doblaje ,el gameplay es extremadamente divertido en su dificultad más alta , buscar coleccionables y retos no es para nada tedioso , el trabajo que hace insomniac es increíble , me decanté por el modo rendimiento con rt y es una locura, sin duda uno de los mejores juegos de esta nueva generación

    This is THE best looking game to date. With one of the best implementations for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. It's more fun than any Ratchet and Clank game I've ever played and it's very addictive so far. I just wish they made each enemy unique where you have to use a certain gun on them. That would've been way better.

    Best Ratchet and Clank game ever made. Period. I was extremely worried about how this game would turn out, considering I did not love the 2016 title by any stretch. However, this game blew me away. A truly stunning masterpiece.

This game is easily one of the best and graphically impressive games I have ever played, This is easily the best platformer I have ever played, The story is also amazing but sadly short for $70. If you really love platformers go for it, it won't disappoint you, but if you are looking for a nice game I would rather wait for the price to go down a bit.

    -The haptics and adaptive feedback make this game more immersive for example there was one scene where ratchet typed on a keyboard and you could actually feel it on the dualsense

Having only played the previous title on ps4, my expectations for story and gameplay weren't astronomical but since sonys 2020 preview, I knew it would use the ps5 hardware better as a platform exclusive (an approach sorely missing from other devs at the time of writing this in 2021!) . The surprise hasIts a rare occasion, but im grateful to report R&C rift apart really is a perfect 10.     After I dropped the first Ratched I was sceptical about this one. After 18 hours on the max difficulty and Platinum trophy, I can say that this is one of the most amazing games I've ever played. The graphics, gameplay, guns, and DualSence support are absolutely amazing. Highly recommend it to everyone.

    I've played games for 30 years, including early games like Jak and Daxter on PS2. Never played a Ratchet and Clank game.

    It was fun. Haptic feedback was great (e.g. typing on keyboard). I got stuck on 2nd map multiple times because I tried to explore areas sooner than the game intended but it did a poor job preventing me from trying with double jumps and dashing. Should have been detected during play testing. One quest in particular on 2nd map was poorly designed (e.g. flying dragon to fetch plants). Other maps and quests were fine.

    Overall, a game that folks with a PS5 should check out, but seems just slightly overrated. Probably ideal for younger and/or less skilled players. I appreciated it with that in mind and if my review were more narrow in scope considering only that audience, I would rate slightly higher, more in line with the critics.    … Expand

    I give this game a ten, and it deserves. It’s finally a real entry for the new generation of consoles. My last R&C game was Crack in Time ages ago. So I was not overhyped or expecting this high level of entertainment. The colors ,the light effects, the movement, the enviroments, just breathtaking. The developers put their souls onto that, and they deserve all the praise. I haven’t finishedI give this game a ten, and it deserves. It’s finally a real entry for the new generation of consoles. I believe there are few parents willing to pay for an expensive console and an expensive game for their kids nowadays. Speaking about gameplay, the "low" point is the camera, I’m having some camera issues ending in some cheap deaths, but nothing that can ruin the experience. So, this game is a masterpiece, great pace, charismatic characters, stunning level design, great voice acting even in my native language. I’m not going to say it'sp like playing a Pixar movie.
