    Great game, a must have for PS5 users, the adaptive triggers on this game was spot on, story was very good and funny, overall very pleased with this game.

    And it utilizes PS5 potential, including extra fast loading.
    On the side, there is also this great control over trophies and it's not that super hard to gather them all.     If you are buying it for your kids or you really enjoy children cartoons, this game could be 8/10 for you. If you don't, then it's 6/10 at most. Let me now explain my views in detail.

    If you are buying it for your kids or you really enjoy children cartoons, this game could be 8/10 for you. If you don't, then it's 6/10 at most. Let me now explain my views in detail.

    The Plot.
    10/10 or 5/10 depending on who you are.
    First let's address this. This game's plot - is basically a Disney cartoon for elementary school aged children. As a cartoon, it strikes all the right notes, so if you like children's movies - this is pretty much as good as they go.
    For me personally - it's just not interesting. I enjoy more adult storytelling, and this type of story is pretty boring for me. It's not cringe or anything, but it's just not very deep, and is not stimulating enough for me. I genuinely couldn't wait until the game was over.
    So this part strongly depends on your personal tastes. There's nothing wrong with liking cartoons even if you're an adult, but I think this point alone makes this game not immediately recommendable to absolutely everyone.

    The Gameplay
    it's 6/10. It's basically a 1-button gameplay, where your entire fighting is about pressing the shoot button and dodging. The enemies generally have 1 melee attack and some of them have 1 shooting attack. You basically press dodge if they get close, and keep shooting, and that's about it for the gameplay.
    The weapons are many, and they are very creative and different, very unique. That's until you realize that they pretty much don't change your gameplay AT ALL, they just kill enemies with different animations.
    The game has a lot of gimmicks that feel good enough for the platformer, so the platforming is on-point, but I can't say that this alone saves the entire game.
    The problems of the game design are many.
    Frequently, you are just left clueless about some things, until you progress far enough. You will find puzzles that you technically can solve right away but you just don't know how. And there are other puzzles that look like they are solvable, when in reality you actually just don't have the right tool yet. These elements waste your time if you are a completionist and want to clear everything as you go.
    Another problem is that the levels are riddled with invisible walls to block you from solving puzzles. Frequently your tools are enough to get to some hidden loot, but an invisible wall blocks you, because the developers want you to get there through a different route. And sometimes it's not at all obvious what is expected from you. Another such mechanic is just insta-death triggers if you get where you aren't supposed to be. This adds unnecessary frustration to the game, especially for attentive players who notice the hidden items in the distance and don't wait to the end game to collect them.
    The last point is difficulty. Because it's basically a 1-button game targeted at kids, the difficulty here is weird. The gameplay is very basic, and you just can't crank the AI to be more challenging. So what they do is they just give you very low health and make attacks hurt a lot, while turning enemies into bullet sponges. I did not find this fun at all, and switched back to medium.

    The Bugs.
    Unfortunately, the game is pretty buggy, although none of that causes crashes or breaks the progress. There are missing textures where you aren't supposed to see, missing geometry so you fall through the ground, etc. The character will often get stuck in the falling animation if you jump on the edge of the platform, and dies if you don't get out of that state fast enough. Some enemies get glitched inside of geometry. For me, the final achievement didn't count initially. Thankfully, I could start with the last checkpoint and just skip the cinematic to get it in a minute, but that's still a bug.
    Generally speaking, the game is very unpolished.

    So is it Next Gen though?
    No.
    One of the marketed features was how well the game uses PS5 SSD to instantly load levels. And that was demonstrated through the use of portals and how they switch dimensions.
    I will disappoint someone here, but frankly - you can do exactly the same seamless transition on PC or an old-style SSD on PS4. There's nothing groundbreaking about that - you just keep both locations loaded when you expect to need them. And those locations are not complex enough to cause any sort of memory concern if you do that.
    The absence of loading times is nice, but that's not next gen.
    Graphically, the game doesn't look anything special. Due to the style, you don't really need high fidelity textures and models. It looks very good, a playable Pixar cartoon, if you will, but don't expect any "WOW!" effect.

    overall, I recommend waiting for a sale to play this one, or even skip it. Unless you have kids or really enjoy these stories, in which case - sure, go for it now!    … Expand

    Amazing! Super fun and the length of the game is just perfect. When you finish the game you will want to finish it again with all the new things. Battles are fun and all the weapons are amazing, really is one of the best games I ever played.

    The best ratchet and clank game in a long time. Technically this game is very impressive with graphics better than the animated movie, ray tracing, instant loading times incorporated into the level design, and even perfect 60 fps making this the smoothest playing ratchet game since the ps2.

    The gameplay is the ratchet formula to near perfection with unique weapons that make good use of the dualsense's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers and the return of the hover boots which make movement during combat more fun than ever. The game is also decently long and replayable which is surprising considering insomniac just came out with miles morales less than a year before. The quantity of decent titles they put out is higher than any other studio right now.

    The problems I have are the same as the problems I had with ratchet ps4: the story and soundtrack. The story is an improvement over ps4 but comparing it to the ps2 games you can see how much they dumbed down the characters. Ratchet has no personality, they made him a generic kid's show character with none of the sarcasm or bite he had in the originals. His relationship with clank has no interesting conflict like in previous games, only the dimensionator stuff which leads to no real arguments or tension. The addition of Rivet and Kit makes up for this a little bit as by contrast they have a little more going on. I really like Kit's design and silly mannerisms. Overall there is little for older players to enjoy like in the ps2 games which had more mature jokes and world building.

    The soundtrack is more of the generic strings and horns they've been doing for a while. The older games (especially ratchet 1) had way more unique, memorable, and catchy tunes.

    Overall a solid game that leaves longtime fans like me a little disappointed in some aspects.    … Expand

Сюжетно эта игра простая, но это и понятно, возрастной рейтинг 6+. Но сюжет мне понравился, было очень интересно следитьСама игра мне очень сильно понравилась.     Rift Apart is a complete blast from start to finish. Video games took a long step forward this past year, and this game was a big part of it. With some of the most fun gameplay in years and a surprisingly thoughtful campaign, Ratchet and Clank continues its success as one of the greatest video game series of all time.

    The support characters lack a bit of personality that they’d have had in previous games, but otherwise this is an absolutely fantastic addition to the series.

    This has some creative ideas visually, and is stunning in many places. The combat is refined and very fun. You’re missing out if you don’t pick this up.

    Loved the game. Animation is beautiful , the characters are awesome heroes and bad guys alike, the environments are beautiful throughout . Really liked the use of the dual sense controller as well, especially the gravity boots sections. Highly recommend!

    After the fantastic remake of the original game, we finally get a new game after 5 years. It's biggest problem is that it's PS5 exclusive. You can't get it on PS4. Due to the shortage of PS5's, it means that being able to play this game might be a struggle. But if the biggest problem is not being able to play it, then that is a really good thing. Es fühlte sich wieder wie ein richtig gutes Ratchet and Clank an. Die Schießereien machten Laune. Die Story hat mich persönlich auch als Ratchet and Clank Fan enttäuscht. Ich war anfangs begeistert, dass es nach "Nexus" spielt, aber doch etwas zu lose. Außerdem fehlen Charaktere, die es sogar am Ende nur als Bild in die Credits schaffen. Sehr schade.

    An absolute fun ride. This game is designed and executed so beautifully that you just want to play it over and over again. The DualSense haptics are fantastic. There is no interesting story which is probably the only weakness, but that's its genre. If you want to compare it, you should probably compare it to Crash 4.

    Buen juego de inicio de generación, con gráficos excelentes y una historia muy entretenida. En mi caso no había jugado a ninguna entrega anterior (salvo un par de horas al de PS4) y lo he disfrutado muchísimo. Me ha encantado Rivet y quiero más Rivet en juegos posteriores.

    O jogo tem gráficos incríveis e a jogabilidade ganhou melhorias em comparação ao jogo anterior. A história, no entanto, não cativa, o gameplay ainda não é tão fluido quanto poderia e as sessões de exploração do mapa são muito cansativas. Numa certa altura do jogo percebi que estava me forçando a jogar. Aí deixei de lado.

    Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is just phenomenal. It has great and likable characters, fun and satisfying gameplay, great level design and gripping soundtrack. There are some minor problems like invisible walls in places you wouldn’t expect, but overall it is an absolutely fantastic game that you don’t want to miss!

    OMG this game is incredible. I much like the PS4 original game but Rift Apart is just insane. The visuals are top notch, 60 fps and raytracing and 4K dynamic resolution shows the full potential of next-gen gaming. Rift Apart is one of the many reasons why you need a PS5. Insomniac has made a fantastic job. Chapeau!

Gunplay in this game is extrodinary, extremely engaging, and never gets old. The directing is superb, and the writing, although occasionally too cliche or cringy, is very good. Overall, the game is a blast and is worth your time if you enjoy chaotic shooters and/or PS2-era Sony Mascot games.… Expand

    El mejor juego del 2021, gran variedad de armas, historia entretenida, personajes alucinantes, jugabilidad perfecta y sin tiempos de cargas prácticamente ademas de unos gráficos a muy alto nivel. Ademas de ser una saga legendaria, es un juego que no decepciona y que merece la pena tener.

    I never got to play any of the older installments in the series, but after playing this epic sequel to the 2016 game, I wanna play the old ones right now. This is truly a fantastic exclusive for the PS5.

    I struggled to find anything wrong. It was a pleasure from start to finish: Insane graphics and performance with addictive, smooth gameplay, amazing use of dual sense haptics, side/mini missions I actually wanted to complete, and a host of quality of life improvements on the previous PS4 version.

    I would give it a 9 if it had a better pricing. Very good game, with great graphics and gameplay and an interesting story but it's definitely not worth 70$ at launch. I recommend to buy it and try it out on a sale, you won't regret it.

    Insomniac delivered again. Great game, really displayed the power of the PS5 even though I had higher hopes for the story. But it was a fun, short ride. Recommended to people who like 3rd person action games.

    Juegazo! Muy espectacular en el apartado técnico, una jugabilidad fabulosa (cuestión de subir un grado de dificultad y es bastante más desafiante) y por supuesto con el dualsense le da un toque que es una delicia.

    I've played games for 30 years, including early games like Jak and Daxter on PS2. Never played a Ratchet and Clank game.

    It was fun. Haptic feedback was great (e.g. typing on keyboard). I got stuck on 2nd map multiple times because I tried to explore areas sooner than the game intended but it did a poor job preventing me from trying with double jumps and dashing. Should have been detected during play testing. One quest in particular on 2nd map was poorly designed (e.g. flying dragon to fetch plants). Other maps and quests were fine.

    Overall, a game that folks with a PS5 should check out, but seems just slightly overrated. Probably ideal for younger and/or less skilled players. I appreciated it with that in mind and if my review were more narrow in scope considering only that audience, I would rate slightly higher, more in line with the critics.    … Expand

Все функции Dualsense естт. Но есть один минус - это сюжет. Он детский, но посуте игра и создавалась для детей. И ещё не понятно будет ли продолжение.     Great game. Plays fun and fluid. Really shows the power of the PS5. The new haptic feedback really gives a new dimension for this game. It also can run 40fps quality mode in the 120hz mode, which is really amazing! Hope more games will follow that direction! Enjoyed every minute of this game

    I had to buy the PS5 with this game included, to avoid having to wait even longer. It was not high on my priority list. I found this game not very difficult and not very long either, but I enjoyed it very much. Also my 7 year old likes it. For him its great that it's translated in Dutch. The options to make it very easy (can't die from bullets f.e.), make it playable for him.

    Although the game is short, I really enjoyed everything about Rift Apart. The story is very simple, but not in an annoying manner. The gameplay was addictive, and the progression system only made it even more so. The fast paced combat sections of the game were incredible, especially the arena challenges. The visuals of Rift Apart are awe-inspiring, and the transitions from cutscenes toAlthough the game is short, I really enjoyed everything about Rift Apart.     I had just played Ratchet & Clank 2016, and it was great, a week later, I played this game, and... Wow! I really didn't think they could upgrade that game on so many levels. It really looked unique. Immersive settings, explosive combat and shooting ( I can't stress this part enough!), and enjoyable progression system. Add to all that, fantastic character buildings and dramatic cutscenesI had just played Ratchet & Clank 2016, and it was great, a week later, I played this game, and... Wow!     If I wanted a kids game, I would have bought a Nintendo. The positives! Great graphics, and really show what the ps5 can do, but the game itself is so repetitive and boring. Thank God it's only 7 hours long!

It is the storyline that is lacking. Point - there isn’t one. Have played 3/4 through the game and really, it’s about smashing and shooting than the flimsy premise of a story.     Fantastic game. the only negative point is that there is no difference between Ratchet & Rivet in Gameplay. I expected at least to see different weapons for them.

    Rift Apart is without a doubt, the most graphically impressive game out for now. It has high-action set pieces, engaging gameplay, excellent cutscene directing, immersive haptic feedback, and no load times.

    But the game has some problems: Boss fights are boring because enemy bosses are reused over and over. The game is only 10 hours long, so it's quite short. There are only 9 worlds,    Rift Apart is without a doubt, the most graphically impressive game out for now. It has high-action set pieces, engaging gameplay, excellent cutscene directing, immersive haptic feedback, and no load times.

    But the game has some problems:
    Boss fights are boring because enemy bosses are reused over and over.
    The game is only 10 hours long, so it's quite short.
    There are only 9 worlds, there are a huge amount of worlds from previous titles that we could have checked out in next-gen hardware.
    I was hoping to see lots of new enemy types and races but for the most part, you just fight nefarious troopers.
    Craiggerbears serve no purpose, you collect them for no reason.
    The twist and origin of rivet losing her arm was painfully obvious and just felt too dramatic.
    Insomniac could have fleshed out and shown ratchet's adventures in comparison to rivet's adventures, and we could have explored the reasons for how and why the dimensional counterparts look and act differently, but that never happened.
    Instead of being a threat, Dr Nefarious is reduced to a comic relief character, a far cry from his original portrayal in RAC3.
    Rivets' past is barely explored; we could have learned about her upbringing or whether she defeated Drek, etc. The robot pirates have returned, but emperor Tachyon is nowhere to be found, despite the fact that he created them.
    Rift Aparts themes and ideas are overly simplistic; for example, the sequence in Torren 4 where the fixer miraculously changes his mind could have been fleshed out more, it just felt forced and anticlimactic. Feels like I’m just playing kids game instead of a game for all ages

    This game is pretty disappointing for longtime fans, the originals are still the best RAC games in my opinion. Hopefully, Rift Apart guides them to play the originals.    … Expand

    Really good game, in my opinion this is so far the best Ratchet and Clank game. The story are very good and graphics on PS5 is outstanding, ray tracing is amazing. Overall this is a very good game, highly recommend it to any PS5 users.

    Muy bonitas graficas pero saliendo de eso, todo lo demás es mucho peor que el de playstation 4, demasiado fácil y corto para los 80 dolares, como la gran mayoría de los juegos de playstation , mucha cinemática y narrativa pobre y poco gameplay innovador, lo siento. Mejor vean una película de Pixar.

The only tiny things that bother me is the "decent" story, "decent" writing, and the fact that Ratchet feels slightly overshadowed by Rivet. I would've liked at least one more planet with Ratchet, considering thatGameplay and graphics are absolutely outstanding as they usually are for Ratchet & Clank games.     Tons of fun for hours and hours. So sad it's been such a long time since last time a new ratchet and clank rolled up. I really enjoyed the new graphics and smoothness of the action. Storywise also very nice. Totally recommend to everyone

Ratchet and Clank are sidelined to make way for their female counterparts who are not fleshed out properly given that the game is at most, 12 hours-long.

    Gameplay is the exact same as it was in 2009, but with new, underwhelming weapons. No, you don't get to personally modify your weapons. Its the same boring system that R&C 2016 had where you slightly upgrade 'ammo-count' or 'slightly increase damage', which leads to every player having the same weapons by the endgame. No space exploration as well, which is disappointing. The writing is terrible, with cliche & cringey lines about friendship and "doing the right thing".

    The best thing about this game is how the controller feels when you shoot a gun. It feels exciting when you fire a shotgun with both barrels by fully pressing the trigger on the controller with resistance.

    No idea how people are giving this 9/10's or 10's. If you want a game to shut-up your kids, this is it. However, if you're an adult, you should really get help.    … Expand

    me di la oportunidad de jugarlo, y es extremadamente corto, muy rapido de pasarlo, a nivel gráfico no me quejo pero tiene algunos fallos de texturas interesantes, no se si se debe a un error de mi consola pero el juego calentaba bastante mi ps4, lejos de ello es entretenido pero cuando más interesante se pone se termina

    I know I’m late to the party but wow the game is just beautiful and plays smooth. I haven’t finished it yet but I’d recommend it to everyone who want to just chill and have fun playing a great game

    What a great game, the graphics and music are great, the characters are fun and lovable, my only complaint is that it’s a bit short. Absolutely loved it.

    One of the first real reasons to buy PS5. This intergalactic adventure of famous series is full of great gameplay, inventive game design, gripping story, and great characters. It's a game for everyone who owns PS5. Actually, it’s a game for everyone.

There is no other way a game can feel so good, play so well, and take you on an impressive adventure all without that special ingredient to keep it going. The definition of a next-gen title, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is a must-play that will leave you super satisfied and hungry for another big game like this one.
