    Really enjoyed Zero Dawn and really enjoying Forbidden West. About 12 hours in so far and no bugs, great graphics, smooth performance. Not a single issue playing in both graphics mode or performance mode. Great job Gorilla, yet another awesome game!

Fui fan del primer juego, me gusto mucho, este segundo lo considero una continuación sin más y sin grandes avances, pero la noto que le pongo es por algunos bugs o fallos que encontré, como aparición de árboles en la mitad del camino, que aparecen de la nada, me paso 3 veces durante las partidas, además de 2 veces que me toco reiniciar el juego por no poder seguir una misión. La neblina se hace incómoda cuando piensas que realmente busca ocultar la demora en la carga de texturas, incluso bajo el agua se ve neblina. No entiendo. Es un buen juego pero con fallas de programación que me dañaron la experiencia. Igual recomiendo jugarlo y darle una oportunidad.… Expand

My main issue has always been the story and this time around it's far worse than its previous counterpart. Also, the amount of bugs from a AAA is worth noting.     The combat is great for sure! But I just feel like there weren't any vast improvements and it turned me off. After playing this for 15 hours + now since launch, I simply can't finish it. The slow story is always a put of to me and honestly, it's not that interesting or not as expansive as Zero Dawns. I feel it lacking on a grand scale. However, with that said, the open world and beauty of it are truly NextGen. For that reason, I give it a 7 as I can see how this game can be grand for some people but people who like more of linear gameplay will not or will find this game really hard to enjoy.    … Expand

    Overall a great game so far and feels like a good continuation from the first. There are a few things that are recycled for sure but it’s a sequel. A cosmetic bug here or there like landscapes taking an extra second to render in cut scenes so that’s to be expected with an initial release and I’m sure future updates coming soon will patch that up.     To muche hype like with cyberpunk i was expecting a revolution but at the end we just get good continue of first part witch was imo better. Here of course everything is upgraded but i dont fell ot like i did with first horizon. Def must play game but not for premier money.

    This is the perfect example of a potential masterpiece that gets bogged down by too side content. The side quests and errands are substantially longer in HFW than they were in HZD, and there are a lot of them. There aren't enough main quests, and if you want to do everything as you go along to avoid missing story you end up being too strong and overleveled for the main quests. The fact that a thunderjaw in a side quest was more of a struggle than the actual main endgame bosses just shows how immersion breaking and anticlimactic it ends up making the game.     Insane graphics, beautiful scenery. Fantastic combat and UI, much improved on the first game. Loved the cast of characters and the way they were a group of friends to Aloy, so she wasn't so alone in this game. Loved that she had a base to return to.

This game might be the most sawed after games for Sony Ponies to simp for and over-hype to the moon like it's better then anything on PC Nintendo or Xbox combined. If your someone who played Horizon Zero Dawn on PC and liked that game and are Interested inThis game seems Interesting.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. While the game is a graphical masterpiece for the most part the rest of the game leaves mich to be desired.

    They have clearly tried to mimic to many games instead of implementing their own genuine take on what the universe should be.

    The games is full of bugs like audio glitches where you hear fighting when there is nothing around, the screen constantly flickers to a black screen while playing randomly even after the patch that supposedly fixed it. Audio cuts in an out during cut sceens an they have over abused that mechanic to the extent I skipped hours worth of them.

    The story is weak and I found the majority of characters to be very annoying to the point I also skipped my interactions with them.

    The combat is not a free flowing as it could be an seems to of been over thought. Almost all enemies just spam range attacks an they all can move faster than aloy.

    Enemies can have body armor while you cannot, animals that are nocturnal are out during the day time, other enemies also have guns while you still have spear an bow to rely on.

    All cauldrons an most events in the world are 15 to 30 mins of climbing an puzzles a mechanic that resembles the Breath of the wild shrines.

    The climbing is not very intuitive an they love to over use the actions as if aloy is almost going to fall an she leans back with one arm dangling off as if she still has no athletic ability or experience.

    The games is extremely resource dependent using metal shards to buy fast travel kits, an make repairs to any of your mounts, you'll need to scoure the entire map to hunt multiple animals over an over for upgrades.

    There is also way to many fetch quests that after time begin to feel repetitive an they begin to feel more like a chore than an enjoyable thing to do.

    Certain parts of the map you cannot even travel back to explore after beating the game an they have placed invisible boundaries around some towns an areas to keep you from using flying mounts to access them.

    Most of the good mechanics come to late in the game like the diving mask, flying ability or the paraglider. Additionally you cannot do combat underwater which is a total waste of opportunity as if making a spear gun is to difficult for your character who knows how to seize control of rogue robot AI.

    Certain aspects of the game like rebel camps do not feel organic enough, once again they all look fairly similar an same with what to expect when encountering them.

    The combat pit challenges are annoying an weak because its more or less you doing the same things you did in the tutorial section only in the challenge section an with a time limit.

    I feel like the game was drastically held back my ps4 as I am playing on ps5. If you played Horizon Zero Dawn then you have pretty much played this game already, heck even the opening of the game is mostly reused assets from zero dawn only with upgraded textures for visual fidelity.

    I am also put off that they have yellow ropes an yellow climbing points everywhere that clearly have no purpose thus ruining the overall feel that the world is truly organic. I also wish that if they were going to copy BOTW so much that they would have used its climbing mechanic rather than the route they chose to go.

    Overall I will say that they have done a good job upgrading Horizon, but I cannot see myself buying the next game in the series (an they will be making a next one clearly by how this one ends unless they make the combat more like recent assassin's creed games and unless they actually start letting aloy use her head an start making real weapons an armor since she is utterly surrounded by it yet keeps going back to primitive tools rather than being intelligent an trying to harness the things she finds an uses them to her advantage.

    I would honestly tell you to wait ✋️ an pick the game up when it goes on sale at some point unless you really do not have as high of standards or expectations with these new nextgen games.

    I will reiterate what I said earlier if you played Horizon Zero Dawn you have already played this game, the only difference is now you can swim an get a flying mount.    … Expand

    Boring mediocre open world game. Bland locations, repetitive gameplay. Too much lot of dialogues and cutscenes, graphics is good, feels like a movie, but story for me wasn't so interesting, it depends on knowledge of first game. Feels like single player mmorpg with a lot of grind. Collect resources, clean camps, same stuff you do in other open world games.

Like the first game, everything works fine but after so much repetition you get tired of it and start to hate it. The game does have some good moments of course and like i said, the visuals are good but this ends up being a disapointment like the first game was

    Guerilla have raised the bar ladies and gentlemen, this game is so close to a masterpiece in every way possible, it improves everything on the first game and its now the most visually stunning game ever made and thats a fact. The conversations and animations of the interactions make it look so real and relatable. The exploration is ama,zing, there is so much to do in this game.

    Sound or Subtitles that do not properly load, enemies or other assets, like bridges etc. do spawn in to late and the ocasional crash, but must frustrating is the framedrops to the single digits even in the "more FPS" mode.     Just to let everyone know reading this review I'm about 10 hours in so I'll mostly be talking about the graphics, story so far, combat, and some side missions. The graphics are good. I only noticed dropping frame rate if it's a major battle with a lot of machines or a town but very minimal drops. It's just easy to notice if it goes from 4K to 1080p. There are other small issues like NPC's popping in and out but again very unnoticeable and not very frequent.

    The side missions are good and interesting. They're pretty similar concerning objectives but have good and barely different stories behind them so it feels different every time. It really helps build the world of the forbidden west. I got a very Witcher 3 vibe out of the side quests. Like I said I haven't played the whole game but at this point aloy's character seems kind of flat. Like in horizon zero Dawn. I enjoyed the side characters more than her.

    The motion capture, facial expressions, and syncing with dialogue is very good. However movement can be a little janky including when you are climbing and jumping around. Combat is fun and intuitive. I like the scanning and being able to shoot off different parts and be a little more strategic with it. I like the stealth but I just wish you could lock on to enemies. The combat of horizon forbidden West is like horizon zero Dawn. So it's pretty much monster Hunter but in a post post apocalyptic world with robot monsters instead of real life flesh and blood monsters. I do like the inclusion of different types of weapons. It makes it really fun to figure out what's best for each situation. Sometimes all the different effects and upgrades can get confusing. Overall it's a good game worth the price but I just wish they would have fixed some small graphical and NPC issues. They didn't really do anything different they just made the graphics a lot better and introduced some new weapons which helped improve it.    … Expand

    Не могу сказать, что прям ждал игру, не особо зашла первая часть, но по трейлерам и обещаниям что это прям Mass Effect 2, все же какие-то ожидания были. До Mass Effect 2 конечно очень далеко. Графика по большей части разочаровала для некстген ААА проекта очень даже слабо, в режиме улучшенной графики фпс оч сильно страдает, когда же в режиме производительности сразу видно мыло, сама по себеНе могу сказать, что прям ждал игру, не особо зашла первая часть, но по трейлерам и обещаниям что это прям Mass Effect 2, все же какие-то ожидания были. Я бы не советовал брать игру на старте за фулл прайс ну ибо игра не маст хэв прям срочно, переждав до скидки вы ничего не потеряете, но потом получите проект за тот прайс которого игра заслуживает. Не люблю оценивать игру именно по 10 бальной шкале, а больше по прайсу который должна стоить игра так вот если игра будет со скидкой 30-40 процентов то это ваш вариант топ за свои деньги так сказать (как раз оценка 6/10).… Expand

    Почему в мире постапокалипсиса все мужчины какие-то неженки которые даже стоя на посту за пуру секунд и давление гг сразу сдаются хотя они стоят на посту это их обязанности но нет приходит гг орёт и все теперь можно все. А девушки в игре, почему они асе словно после мака. Там же типо голод нет урожая и все такое.

    As a fan of the original, I am further in awe of the new game. A direct follow on from Zero Dawn but with everything made to look better, flow better and continue the deep, fascinating world that began in the first game. If you liked Zero Dawn, even slightly, you'll love this.

    This game need some technical work, performance mode gets the dynamic resolution pretty low sometimes it's distracting, i had to toggle to 30 fps at every cutscene, the game it self it's pretty fun, the new mechanics and the new equipment are great, if the game gets fixed my real score would be 8.5

When you cancel the glide and land on surface, Aloy lean forward and step a few step. I get it, it’s physics, but there are many occasion you need to land on small platform and you glide and it just doesn’t stop on the platform.     I haven't been able to put this game down since getting it. It's gorgeous, the combat is amazing and flexible for different styles of play, and the story is wildly entertaining. I am invested in all the characters and the lore, and even though I've been playing for almost 30 hours, the completion percentage isn't even close to 50%. Well worth the money!

    Amazingly detailed and beautiful game with a strong female protagonist and great storyline. Game play on PS4 has been seamless. I'm constantly blown away by the attention to detail and how life like the mannerisms and facial expressions of all the NPCs are. Highly recommend this game!

    I have so much time on the game and it's already so fun! I've gotten 50 percent already. Those review bombing it are probably people who have never seen a woman, seeing as they didn't know that women have peach fuzz

    14 hours in and it's really fantastic. I'm playing on PS5 and the have very few complaints. Story so far is really good and has had a pretty cool/unexpected twist, and is certainly living up to the original. I loved HZD because its story centered around the unraveling of a satisfying mystery, but most of it is solved by the end so I was worried the sequel wouldn't hold my interest as much.14 hours in and it's really fantastic. I'm playing on PS5 and the have very few complaints. Story so far is really good and has had a pretty cool/unexpected twist, and is certainly living up to the original. I loved HZD because its story centered around the unraveling of a satisfying mystery, but most of it is solved by the end so I was worried the sequel wouldn't hold my interest as much. However, it does a great job of building up new mysteries so that's great. Only complaints are climbing and mount riding can be janky, and I've seen some visual issues such as floating plants and some npcs loading in late, but nothing too bothersome or game-breaking. 9/10 for me… Expand

    Great game, all the things we loved from HZD and more, conversations can get long but the people wanted more story and that's what you got. New combat changes and weapons are great and more challenging. Can't wait for the DLC and I'm not even done with the full game. Trolls can go play Halo.

    Absolute beautiful game! Enjoyed every minute of it. Combat is challenging and story interesting and unique in its own way. Really recommend getting this game to anyone.

    However the game does have its hiccups with bugs but wasnt game breaking. If you fall through the floor or whatever, literally just reload from the last save option in the pause menu.     What a game. I don't know what kind of people would give it 0. They're definitely born outta random Karens. Beautiful game, like it's predecessor, engaging, amazing graphics, what a story & good combat system. If not extremely good, but it's fluid. 10/10 for me, total package.

    A step up from an amazing game! Small bugs aside and an iffy "resolution" mode, I still find this one of my favorite games of all time. There is so much to do and it doesn't feel grindy at all. One of the best stories in a game coupled to extremely fun combat. Stealth is fun as well. Just awesome...

    I think this is one of the mostly beautiful games I have ever played. The characters feel real (a huge improvement from Zero Dawn). It looks like they really did something with the critics from Zero Dawn. The visuals are so amazing I often find myself just enjoying the view. The story (so far) is amazing too. If you you masculinity can't handle this, that's on you. Furthermore you might come across a LGBT person. Wow big shock, just like in real life. There's nothing being pushed here (and what if there was?). If these are reasons for you not to buy the best game out here, that on your fragile masculinity. In that case you are not worth the best game of the year.

    If you love amazing graphics, action and suspense, a huge open world full of meaningful (side-) quest (not your typical (boring) fetch-quest) you should 100% buy this game!    … Expand

    The game runs flawlessly on PS5. The bugs the 0/10 people are saying is there, aren't there. They merely like to review bomb. Sites like this should be avoided by game developers as a measurement to determine if a game gets dlc or sequels made. The game is a beautiful masterpiece. The story is phenomenal. Combat is good, graphics are good, overall, one of the best exclusives Sony has.

    With this in mind, ONLY YOU can be the judge of the quality of the game.

While i give horizon zero down 9.5/10, due to repetition of a few things like plants collection and hunting (both felt boring), i gave this 9/10 (finally I can agree with IGN after TLOU2), not amounting to the bugs I encountered during the game, which willExcellent game with a heartfelt story. Devs take notice how to quickly address issues instead of us playing the waiting game the 10 is for the the haters as well I'm about 20 hrs in.     The quests are especially fun and build the story well. The fact that I can create a job around a side quest I want to complete is so nice!

    One of the best video game stories ever! Guerilla games has developed a world that is simply beautiful. Zero Dawn was awesome but this game takes it to another level. Everything from the animations to the weapons has been improved. PS5 really shows it’s shine here. The graphics and attention to detail is on a level that most games will pale in comparison.

    Horizon has enchanted me again. After a slow start, a graphically beautiful, sophisticated sequel comes, polished in every aspect, and underscored by a great soundtrack on top of that. The sequel was simply a success. Everything that worked before works even slightly better now. [Issue#317]

    Horizon Forbidden West is Guerrilla's best game to date, taking Aloy to new heights with a blockbuster release that meets the high standards set by PlayStation in recent years. While it's totally worth fans jumping in on day one, it's perhaps better to wait a few weeks until all the bugs are ironed out.

    Horizon Forbidden West is exactly what everyone thought it would be: an amazing game. It has an open world with plenty of things to do and places to explore, fights against some really well-developed machines and stunning visuals. The feeling is that the second game of the series improves on what was already great, and it feels rewarding and fun to play. It is another single-player masterpiece from Sony.
