I was so thrilled to see Aloy smile and be happy after two games of her stressed and constantly fighting to save the world. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer and had more side quests.     This is basically another Sony clone of an unisoft game with terrible cringe characters that act like hipsters in a Californian cafe more than survivers in a hostile world. Many characters in Sony's modern games feel like Larpers more than characters due to the bad writing. Gameplay gets repetative and stale fast. This just feels like a re skin of zero dawn. Also there Aloy Avocado.     DLC cannot deserve even one. The game look amazing like all of their games since PS4.
    I highly do not recommend. Because it's so boring and unnecessary, simply to tell you know what!!! that all. nothing in the DLC cont be found except a boring walkthrough and characters but this writhing problem chase this series sine first game. The game is poorly written.

    I love Horizon games, but this so called DLC made me feel like it was made by different studio. There is no soul in it. It feels like whoever made it, in the process realised story is weak and to spice it they made Aloy a lesbian or bisexual. And that’s it. I wish i could forget this dlc and patiently wait for third game.

    This DLC was hands down the best DLC I have ever played for any game. The presentation and delivery is just superb. You really can task for more here. I really don't care about Aloys sexual preferences. All the story and game play here just does not get any better. From the Horus to Londra... the final boss fight was something to behold.     What a great post game DLC!
    It was such a lot of fun to dive back into the Horizon universe and experience the next stage in Aloys journey.
    Seyka is a great new character and it'll be interesting to see where they go with her and what ends up being the canon they take into the next game, because there is definitely going to be a next game based on what we learn here. It's only a shame    What a great post game DLC!

    It's only a shame Lance Reddick won't be voicing Sylens because he feels like another character that's developing well and will feature heavily in the next game. RIP Lance, great work as ever.
    The world is so beautiful with a lot more verticality than before and there is more interesting stuff in it, this is an area they can still improve on, it still needs more engaging content to get to a 10/10 but they're not far of now.
    As ever the combat continues to offer more variety and improve, the waterwings are seriously challenging to fight as they're tough with great and varied attacks but they also work smartly in groups of 3 or 4, which means you can quickly get overwhelmed and outflanked.
    So much good stuff, just wish there had been a bit more such as, another few Quen quests to learn more about their culture because it's really funny seeing that given what they based it on.

No es perfecto, pero tiene mucha calidad, la mejor batalla final de la saga, armas nuevas bastante divertidas de usar, además de el gancho para el combate, gráficamente es muy hermoso el juego, lo disfrute de principio a fin, me doy cuenta que las críticas van a 10 segundos del juego, por lo que ni se tomaron la molestia de jugarlo, cuando en todo el dlc no tiene ni importancia esos 10 segundo, pero en fin, la frustración de algunos es grande, como dije no es perfecto, la escalada sigue teniendo problemas y no se disfruta, eso deben mejorarlo mucho para la tercera parte, aunque gráficamente es de gran calidad y esta entre lo mejor de la consola, tiene sus detalles, aun no me gusta el pelo de aloy como atraviesa algunas partes del cuerpo, son detalles menores, pero creo después de 2 títulos y un dlc, la tercera parte debe quedar bien pulida en ese sentido, va de menos a más la saga, vale la pena mucho el dlc, un villano mejor de lo que fue tilda, pero la pelea final es lo mejor del dlc y creo de la saga, eso da a entender porque salió solo en ps5.… Expand

    A beautiful DLC that expands upon the base game and provides players with hours of new content, including exploring the vertically rich ruins of LA and soaring through majestic clouds. I was glad to to once again return to the story of my favorite huntress.

    Definitely, the next generation of video games arrives in this DLC. A perfect continuation of the forbidden west story and a great addition to Aloys pursuit of belonging alongside saving the world. Cool side quests and an epic final battle as never seen before in a game franchise

To introduce a relationship choice mechanic and not give genuine player choice is just idiocy of epic proportions...     Just amazing, Guerrilla raised (A LOT) the technical level for the new generation, the graphics are just stunning and the final boss fight showed something not seen since Shadow of the Colossus.

    The Horizon Journey continues with extremely beautiful graphics like the basic game. New machines, weapons and mechanisms came to improve more an already outstanding game! The final battle is magnificent! Everyone that loved the character and seeing growing from game 1 until now it will understand the final scene of the game. Can't wait for the next Horizon!

    Fantastic! Even better than the base game of Forbidden West. The reappearance of a certain character from the first game made me beyond overjoyed, amongst all the other improvements made for the game. Well worth your time.

    It gives a more human look at an otherwise inhospitable world and story, it gives hope for the next installment, and it teases at the extent of the huge technical capacity that the next game could have without being held back by last gen. And most importantly it shows a lot more depth into Aloy's personality and it shows that she grows and learns as a person.

    Adding that kind of growth in a character that I think a lot of people relate to (me included) is really inspiring and shows an example for people to follow and look up to.    … Expand

    The DLC has such an innovative final boss, graphics are just gold and gameplay as well, I don't like the story that much since Forbidden West (but that's just my opinion!), Yes, it's short but still bearable as a DLC. I just love the game series and am looking forward to the third part!

    Unnecessary DLC just to convert one object into... Games from this studio were always on the bad writing side as well as the characters. This DLC does not make any difference it cant provide at least average writing or good characters. They just followed checkboxes to do all DLC. But one thing DLC proved is the stunning visuals, the game looks so beautiful in rotten writing etc.

    Re ignighted my love for Horizon tbh I enjoyed the second game but not as much as the first but something about the dlc made me fall in love again

    Side note: it's sad that people are review bombing this over Aloy and Seyka. Maybe I should review bomb any game that has any hetero interactions for pushing the straight agenda

    Yes — you can finish the DLC in a weekend if you skip on all the other parts, but that’s up to you! You can spend a lot more time by doing all side quests and errands, or by trying new play styles. It’s great that you can choose to play just what’s needed or so much more. It would be unfair to complain that the DLC is so short when you leave out all the other ways to enjoy the game.

    Now a word about all those zero user ratings.
    Lots of people are not happy with some romance/LGBTQ+ decisions Guerilla made. Love it or hate it, but give the game a zero rating just for that? You are discrediting yourselves. Please go back to the 80s where games were just little and had shallow stories (sometimes you had to save a princess, what about that for romance, huh?). Times have changed for the better, and games nowadays have more depth. You are unable to change, I get it, then be the traditional/conservative person. But giving any rating less than 5 for such a great game solely based on one single detail is just ridiculous and unfair.    … Expand

    So much fun! The main quest is pretty quick but interesting and a good addition to the story. The relationship between Aloy and Seyka is very sweet and a long time coming! The final boss battle is one of the most exciting and epic fights I’ve experienced in a LONG time. Took me back to shadow of the colossus! Sam Witwer was awesome as the villain Walter Londra.     The DLC is awesome! I didn't see any propaganda of LGBT. In the end Seyka just gently made a proposal to be together. That is all! I think people hate this game because they watched someone's walkthrough and became jealous for not having a PS5

    Outstanding DLC! A feel good finish to the main game that feels like a true epilogue.

    Continues Aloy’s character development and continues with the story line towards the next game.

    A most for any gammer invested in the Horizon games!

    This DLC is bad. It is short. Couple of hours. A lot of bugs. FPS was all over the place at final boss (was playing on PS5). Expensive for a short dlc. Story was rushed and of-course full of woke lgbt propaganda. Because stron female cannot be straight anymore. Being straight (and God forbid Male) i a biggest sin of all. They destroyed one of the best games and stories ever.

    Excellent DLC ! This new character of Seyka is very endearing. The fights are still as epic, new machines, new skills, an unexpected end, but it's always a pleasure to play Horizon. I recommend if you liked HFW

    I do not agree with such review-bombing DLC. Yes, this is a small addon (from 5 to 15 hours of gameplay), but very high-quality and with some innovative mechanics(for this series of games). Honestly, it's hard for me to understand the criticism of LGBT in DLC, because when two beautiful women kiss - is that bad!? The "kiss episode" itself is so well directed that it gives me goosebumps, it's so cute! There were hints of this in the first part (by the way, in the DLC you can even not choose the option with relationships)... therefore, criticism for "LGBT PROPAGANDA" is simply a display of not a STRUGGLE, but rather a sign of a narrow view of the world!
    (And yes, I'm a white, straight male, and I still love this add-on!)

    Full analysis:

    Now about the addon itself:

    Gameplay:
    DLC starts immediately after the end of the main story. Like "Frozen Wilds" - DLC for the first part of the game, this is a great field for testing new mechanics (perhaps the next game in the Horizon series), for example, boat control, "Far Zenith" weapons, co-op mechanics, big boss fights and much more.

    Optimization and Visual:
    The quality of the graphics reached a completely new level, and this happened thanks to the new components of PS5. Drawing distance, volumetric clouds, water (which, by the way, has become even better than in the main game) and much more...
    Productivity is good (in all productivity modes), but at performance mode in the "Kwen" settlement, the resolution drops to 1440p, but the fps stays at 60 fps.

    Story :
    Although the plot is quite simple, that's what makes it good. I wasn't punching my face every half hour! Antagonist - ZENITH is written well, although not as deeply as desired, but that's the norm!

    +++++ Fat plus for the easter egg on Killzone shadow fall! I caught a very cool vibe when I saw the rifle ;))

    This is an excellent DLC with plenty content for the price tag. and it continues a very good story in my opinion. But where it fails in my opinion is in the lack of new skills and different armour sets and stats. For example new skills or armours to avoid extreme knock down effects would have been nice.     DLC is great and the graphics are phenomenal. My only complaint is please stop making people choose to follow something that should honestly not be there as all you are doing is creating a culture war. Disappointed that Insomniac went down that road like Naughty Dog.

    What a joy this DLC is. Great gameplay as expected, some of the new tricks are awesome. I found the story amazing and its great Aloy found love. Was a tribute to Lance in it? maybe that will be in the 3rd one.

Amazing graphics, really good gameplay, however the game did not go in to detail about Nemesis and other story based questions we have after the end of the base game. And for good measure, the people that where oblivious about Aloy being gay/lesbian you guys are delusional. This was already obvious in the first game. I couldn’t care less what a person or for that matter a game character their sexual orientation is. Just enjoy the game and don't bring societal matters in gaming. The DLC for the first game was amazing and introduced so many things, this DLC only shoveled romance optionDisappointment.     Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is visually the best game I have ever played, and in terms of gameplay, it is enjoyable for me, although it may not be for everyone. But the story is the biggest weakness of the game, and I don’t think the story will be great in Someone’s opinion and it may just be the difference between those who say it’s mid and those who say it’s bad. But in different ways, this game completely shows off the power of the 9th generation console.

    Burning Shores is definitely worth a visit. The story builds nicely, the side quests have nice depth, and Aloy and Seyka may end up forming something more than just a friendship. The question is whether a little more content could have been added. After all, it's all stuff we've seen before. [Issue#327]
