    25hrs played. Only buy this game if you have low RPG expectations or are a massive Potter fan. Hogwarts Legacy will cast it's spell apon you to fall in love with an amazing recreation of Hogwarts which will last about 10hrs or untill you start to venture off into the world that surrounds the magical castle. Once you get over the first impression you will soon realize that this is one of25hrs played. Only buy this game if you have low RPG expectations or are a massive Potter fan. Hogwarts Legacy will cast it's spell apon you to fall in love with an amazing recreation of Hogwarts which will last about 10hrs or untill you start to venture off into the world that surrounds the magical castle. Once you get over the first impression you will soon realize that this is one of the most boring games you will ever play loaded with an ever lasting list of tasks, collectibles and "challenges" that are all just as dull as the last one. Mixed with a terrible story, relentless audio quips the worst loot system I've seen in a long time and npcs picked out from the 90's this is a game that doesn't even get close to the 9 and 10 scores people are giving it.     A lot of love was put in here and it shows. My 8 years old kid plays it too and she feels like a real wizzard while playing. So fun to see. Makes me wish we had this kind of games back in the days haha. I want more!.. Maybe it's just me... but this game as an mmorpg? Or at least    Goddamn... GOTY? Might just be!

    Great game. I waited game about Hogwarts for so long! And it satisfied all my expectations! Simply my game of the year. I’m playing on ps5. No FPS drops, no game crushes, no bugs! This game just flawless!

    I was really scared as hype was huge and recently I was getting only disappointments :)… but not this time. Game has great feel of being a Hogwarts student and the mystery is everywhere 10/10 and must play for all HP fans

    If you ever dreamed of attending Hogwarts you owe it to yourself to play this game. The world is beautifully realised and rich with details and puzzles, the characters and story are interesting, the voice acting is top notch, the music is amazing, and of course most of all it's just a lot of fun! As a Harry Potter and RPG fan I'm very pleased with what Avalanche has done with this game.

    I’m a picky gamer, and very rarely post reviews but I’m so inclined in this case because of the woke fools that have attempted to drown this release in negativity. It is a fantastic game, and the love/detail put in by the developments does not go unseen.     By far the best open world Harry Potter world type game I have played. The magic, the characters, Hogwarts itself is exactly what I expected and I love it. Anyone who plays it won’t be disappointed, I highly recommend this game.

    Yet another multiplatform game that holds better frame rate on Series X. IN just a few months: Dead Space, Witcher 3 and now Hogwarts runs better on XBOX. I think it's becoming clear that Series X is by far the better console. The game is okay, but it's kind of repetitive, and I'm shocked with how little there is to do to make it stay interesting.

    Right up there with the best games I've ever played. As a Harry Potter fan I can't imagine making a better game. This truly captured the magnificence of the entire HP universe. Bravo Avalanche and Thank you for the experience. If I could give more than a 10/10 I would.

    So far I've been playing for about 15 hours. And the game is great. Better than what I expected from it. The only thing that slightly spoils my experience are bugs. Strongrst sides - music, fights, beautiful castle. The story is also compelling. Although I do not expect any incredible twists and turns from it. Incredibly, but I got more satisfaction than from God of War.

    This game is amazing from start to finish. The story. The cutscenes. The combat. The menus. Enjoyable for the first 40 hours. I expect to play it for 400-1000 hours.

    Im surprised by the depth and accurracy of this game. Not seen anything after the witcher like this. Enjoying it to the fullest!

    Tons of fun running around the castle and seeing places from the books and movies. There doesn't even need a story and I would love doing that and getting collectibles.

    Avalanche Software has done an amazing job of bringing the Harry Potter universe into their open-world RPG. The world is beautifully made and looks like how I imagined the wizarding world would look like. The storyline could be better but it is still good enough to keep me interested and investing hundreds of hours into the game.     Well done game, you can spend hours and hours in this beatiful, well crafted world, even if you're not HP like me.

    As cons, had very casual difficulty, very el RPGish elements because the gameplay prioritizes exploration (not sure if it is a bad thing, but surely not for my taste).

    Yer a wizard, Harry! This game is quite honestly the biggest surprise of the year so far. Cyberpunk 2077 has taught me that when a game seems too good to be true, it probably is. So imagine my surprise when I was 8 hours into Hogwarts Legacy and realized the game was exactly what I hoped for, and more. This game truly does live up to the hype!

    I would have given it a 10/10 but sadly I had to deduct a point for the fact that even after the day 1 patch, the performance of the game isn't exactly great. I'm playing the game on an RTX 4080 with a Ryzen 7 5800X and 32GB of RAM, on a 4k monitor, and even with DLSS set to Balanced and DLSS frame generation turned on I would get unacceptably low framerates when traveling through the castle, which seemed to get worse over time. Restarting the game helped minimize this, which makes me believe the game must be suffering a memory leak. I hope this will get patched soon so I can give this game a 10/10!    … Expand

    Silly game with silly characters and silly quests. The quests are so dumb and pointless that makes you feel like you are playing a mmo. The characters dont have body and face actuation, sometimes you char makes ridiculous faces in serious situations. The voice actuation is bad too. The only good thing in the game is the exploration and world design.

    A bland open world game, complete with bandit camps, repetitive and forgettable side quests, and an even more forgettable main story. Everyone who’s giving this game 9’s and 10’s are just like everyone who gave Stray a 9 or a 10: they love cats/Harry Potter, so they love these unremarkable games.

    Great characters, excellent story, and enjoyable combat. I wish you could engage more with the NPCs but that’s a minor issue. The game really makes you feel like you are at Hogwarts. I highly recommend it.

    In the last year I have played and beaten Elden Ring, GoW Ragnarok, and Horizon FW - this game is as good as they are on every level - even more so if you’re a fan of the Harry Potter Universe. Incredible visuals and details, solid story (so far), and a really fun combat system. My only gripe is that I can’t sit in the chairs just to relax and take it all in!     A Masterpiece the amount of details in every frame is phenomenal its a faithfully recreated version of the world in harry potter can't wait for even more sequels from Avalanche.

    I am a 33 year old father of a young 1 year old and playing this game made me relive my childhoods dreams. If you grew up around The Harry Potter books/movies or not this is top tier best in class games of the past decade. Worth every dollar and I paid for deluxe edition!

    Loved this game!!! hits right in the nostalgia :) … Awesome world budling; perfect gameplay, some lil bugs here and there, nothing to really complain about. It is not the best story, but it works and I really want to see more of it.

This is a sign to AAA developers that were more than happy buying games, so long as they're finished at release.     I have never been much of a Harry Potter fan. I think it was a little bit past my time. But this game intrigued me because I like open world RPGs. I have only been in for a few days but they really nailed it here. The story is good. The fighting mechanics are very well done. The map is dense and feels very alive.     Really really enjoyed the game. I’ve completed main story, I still have some side quests to do but very happy with it. Only thing I’d like is a morality system, there isn’t really any repercussion for using dark arts

    Gráficos bom, cenário bacana, jogabilidade razoável. O jogo é até bom, porém não te prende. As missões vão se tornando cansativas ao longo do tempo e a história é bem mediana. Fiquei entre nota 6 e 7.

Я принципиально против что бы ЛГБТ лезли в мою жизнь, что бы они диктовали разработчикам какие игры они должны делать, я против сцен однополой любви в играх, которые я играю. Почему меня и моих детей заставляют это смотреть? Я в таком случае хочу что бы на играх писали что есть сценыИгра просто шикарная.     Ridiculously fun game which is an absolute masterpiece. The gameplay is very well designed, balanced and feels very satisfying. The world is crafted with so much detail and lore. It is filled to the brim with charm and delight around every corner.
    Definitely a must have for Harry Potter fans and for non Harry Potter fans! Will probably go down as one of my favorite games of all time!

The secrets and puzzles are fun and worth collecting. I can't help but give this game much praise.     Character customization is a bit lacking but the in game customization and items to pick up makes up for it in my opinion.

    I had no interest in the Harry Potter series and in fact kind of disliked it/ dreaded it before this game and now I must see all of the movies and read the books. It's really THAT good

    In short, I've never been a fan of this Universe. I didn't grow up with Harry Potter and I'm surprised that I can't tear myself away from this game ... everything just played ... I'm already after 20 hours and the end is not in sight ... I'm very pleasantly surprised and recommend it even to non-fans.

    Not only is the story exciting, there is plenty to explore and the world feels alive with the amount of random encounters you can come across in Hogwarts and the world.

    Some glitches here and there, but nothing to bad, minor cosmetic issue, I sure will be fixed soon.

    Its really good. Graphics, gameplay, the open world, everything feels really good. The only reason its not a 10/10 is cause in direct comparison god of war for example felt EVEN greater. Not to take anything away from this game its still absolutely fantastic.

    This game is good. There may be a certain subgroup that doesn’t want you to enjoy it because of the reasonable and valid opinions of a real woman. Clearly they have overplayed their hand and overestimated their influence. I bought a copy for myself and bought 5 other copies and gifted them to friends. JK Rowling was right.

    I know basically nothing about Harry Potter but this game is a blast. I bought it because I was hearing about some controversy around it so, like everyone knows, where there's controversy, there's a great game!! This one did not disappoint!! Only con was that it's a little pricey and the Xbox One version isn't available at launch.

Everything feels like it comes from a world of magic from architecture to enemies to the countryside. The game mechanics are very good as well, including the crafting systems, level designs, and most importantly, the combat, which manages to flow quite well despite being entirely range based. The diversity of spells that can combo off one another allow you to take a unique approach to fights, plus the combat potions can help change your strategy to a significant degree. Perhaps the thing the game does best is how it invites you to explore the world and castle. There are dozens of puzzles tucked away in Hogwarts, secret passages, statues with secret functions, treasures to be found, and moving paintings all over the place. The side quests around the castle aren't fetch quests by any means, they usually task you with searching for something and, well, fetching it, but the process of finding the object is almost always a pleasure because directions are vague. For example, you might be told to search in "high places". Hogwarts Legacy also has a really unique way of contrasting your time in the castle, which is fun, exciting and wondrous with the open world exploration which is more mature, harrowing, and dangerous. There are poachers and monsters all over, hamlet's are being broken apart by grief as the goblin rebellion hurts literally everyone, even goblins. I'm not done with the game yet, but the motivation for most goblins to join the rebellion seems to be that witches wizards aren't nice to them sometimes, which is a bit weak. It's not as if they are enslaved like house elves. Finally, the game at present has a few bugs that will pop up now and then, things like a prop floating in the air after you just blasted it away, or a character model stuttering as it tries to open a door. The worst bug I have encountered occured when I was swimming in a cave and tried to exit the water onto the land. My character decided it was still in the water and floated right on up to the ceiling and got stuck. I just had to fast travel away and reset, not a big deal. I'm conclusion, if you want a really unique gaming experience this is a terrific option, as there is literally nothing like this in terms of combat, world design and writing. Some of the story elements are a bit less well thought out than others and are a bit silly, and there are some small bugs but nothing game breaking. And if you are a Harry Potter fan, just a word of advice, choose Hufflepuff. Trust me, you won't regret it.… Expand

Rowling – every person will have to make that decision for themselves – the game itself has a lot to offer, the majority of which is impressive in its execution.     the developers don't care about all the bugs that are in the game. Several bugs that are frustrating and/or even game breaking are left in the game for more than 6 weeks now without caring about a fix (just check the bug reporting page). I won't preorder a game from portkey ever again.

Everything about is simply amazing - the world, the atmosphere, the sounds, the soundtrack, the characters, the freedom man I could go on and on. Only minor issues I have is that I would’ve loved to dive underwater and meet the Sirens and even though I don’t care much about Quidditch IWhat a BLAST this game is wow! It's more akin to Zelda games, specifically Breath of the Wild. Combat is satisfying, original, and unique. Swimming is clunky and needs more work.     Keep politics out of gaming. This game does it great. You pick who you want to be and create your own character. You can even be a male character a boy with a big ol winky who if they wish can identify as a witch and vice versa. And they call this game transphobic. Graphics are amazing too and exciting gameplay. Trolls, goblins, monsters.

    Not a Harry Potter fan. I have just seen the first movies few days ago, but boy oh boy this game is fun. I love the magic combos you can do and exploring the open worlds is so fascinating and rewarding. Pretty much a complete game. A bit too much chat sometimes and going from point A to point B and some dungeons can get boring but still a great game overall I would give a solid 9.

    Broom flying feels slow and not satisfying at all.

    It's been a decade since we've had a full Potterverse game, but the wait has been well worth it. Hogwarts Legacy gets just about everything right, with its involving storyline and myriad of main and side quests. Perhaps its finest feature though is Hogwarts itself, providing as much joy in just exploring the halls as performing set tasks. We doubt a single Harry Potter fan will be disappointed. We certainly weren't.
