    Was sage ich nach 48 Spielstunden zu Hogwarts Legacy auf der Playstation 5?

    Hervorzuheben ist die Grafik in Kombination mit der musikalischen Untermalung, welche eine stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre in der open-world Spielwelt bieten. Während des Spielens traten einige wenige Grafikfehler (fehlerhafte Beleuchtung, fehlerhafte Darstellung von NPCs) auf, welche den Spielfluss aber nicht erheblich gestört haben. An manchen Stellen waren NPCs durch die Umgebung gefangen und hingen fest, sowie auch der eigene Charakter, jedoch setzte das Spiel oft selbstständig diese Charaktere dann nach kurzer Zeit zurück. Einige Missionsteile machten einen ungetesteten und somit fehlerhaften Eindruck an manchen Stellen, was ich jedoch aufgrund der Komplexität der open-world verkraftbar finde.

    Das Tutorial wirkte etwas aufgezwungen, jedoch wurde man nach einigen wenigen Missionen dann in die open-world entlassen und konnte die Missionen selbstständig anwählen und nach Belieben (innerhalb der Rahmenhandlung) verfolgen, was einen guten Spielspaß bietet. Stellenweise wirkt die Umgebung etwas leer, da wenig NPCs gemessen an der Größe der Karte und des Schlosses vorhanden sind (evtl. technische Limitierung?), kürzere Ladezeiten mit Blackscreens zwischen dem Porten innerhalb der Karte und Cutscenes (auf der PS5 in der Regel zwischen drei und fünf Sekunden) nerven, sind gemessen an Ladezeiten der PS4 vergleichbarer anderer Titel jedoch in Ordnung. Die Übergänge einzelner Bereiche im Schloss hingegen kommen ohne solche Ladezeiten aus, lediglich das Öffnen der Türen dauert dann eine bis zwei Sekunden, was jedoch eine sehr gute Lösung ist und das Spielerlebnis nicht weiter beeinträchtigt.

    Ich hätte mir gewünscht, dass die Dialoge auf Englisch umzustellen wären, da die deutsche Vertonung zwar gut ist, die Handlung jedoch stellenweise doch sehr gescripted wirkt und im Englischen so erträglicher gewesen wäre. An die Handlung der Bücher kommt die Story an keiner Stelle heran, das muss klar gesagt werden. Glücklicherweise lassen sich nahezu alle Teile der Dialoge auf Wunsch überspringen. Insgesamt ist die Handlung jedoch unterhaltsam, spannend und abwechslungsreich. Zum Einstieg hätte ich mir persönlich einen Start in bzw. auf direktem Wege ins Schloss gewünscht, ohne die Handlung an dieser Stelle spoilern zu wollen, ist dies nicht der Fall.

    Die Steuerung ist in Summe gut gelungen, man ist selbst verantwortlich dafür, sich die Flüche/Sprüche sinnvoll auf Tasten zu legen (jederzeit änderbar). Auch das Level & Punktesystem ist gut umgesetzt und motiviert zum Leveln, Forschen und Erkunden der Spielwelt. Verpasste Chancen sind hingegen der fehlende Multiplayermodus, es wäre so viel attraktiver die Welt gemeinsam mit anderen zu erkunden und die Missionen zu bestreiten (stellenweise übernehmen das NPCs) und natürlich: Quidditch fehlt. In der Handlung selbst wird auch Bezug auf die ausbleibende Quidditch Saison genommen, da kommt man sich etwas veralbert vor. Ganz offensichtlich hat die Verschiebung des Releases auf dieses Jahr dem Spiel insgesamt aber sehr gut getan. Schön wäre ein DLC mit einer Erweiterung der Handlung und der Map, welche an sich aber schon sehr sehr groß ist.

    In Summe hat das Spiel meine Erwartungen übertroffen und ich habe die Vorbestellung nicht bereut. Ich vergebe daher 8 von 10 möglichen Punkten    … Expand

    Good game. Bit weird all the hate that is coming for it, I am not really too sure why. RPG elements are light, need to do tasks for more inventory space etc (management is a bit of chore in that respect). Not bad for a first effort.

    All I hoped for. Amazing game, great story, huge open world to explore. It would be nice with some lighter face shades, as my character looks like she has just come back from long beach holidays (so not much like me), but that's a small thing.

    Amazing Game. Immersive world, with great graphics, and exciting mechanics. It would be sure 10 if they would spend some more time on the development to add Quidditch games + PC optimization because now you need some .ini edition to play comfortably in 1440p on RTX 3070. Generally, lousy optimization is the only weak spot of the PC version. For PS5 I would for sure give max points.

    Few games deserve a 10, this I understand, but surely this is one of them. Get over your self important "I'm an annoying, nuanced, big-word-using critic" bs and call it like it is. This is better than the 85 meta rating at time of this review.

    An amazing game made for Harry Potter fans. There is so much care on the details that I get lost for hours just exploring and wanting to see more. It is just beautiful. If you are not an Harry Potter fan I can understand that this may not be for you. So my score is given as a huge fan for this fantastic recreation.     Beautiful experience which I had waited for a very long time. Perfect mechanics, nice graphics and a lot of nostalgia from movies and books.

    A problematic game, from a hateful author, brought to life by a lack lustre dev team. The performance is terrible due to memory leaks. In short Hogwarts Legacy starts to feel like any other open-world game of the past decade once you have been playing it for more than 15 hours.

    The most intriguing part was combat, it's really hard to come up with a combat system that suits the Wizarding World. And one can easily say that Avalanche Software nailed it. Spellcasting feels natural, but the combat itself is smooth and can be really challenging at times especially if you play at high difficulty.

    The RPG part of the game isn't the best side. The skill tree is there, but it doesn't offer you a great deal of flexibility in character development as some other RPG games do. Though it's definitely not the worst skill tree, while you can't create "builds" you can emphasize the character's skills on certain spells.

    The game looks astonishingly beautiful. Technically it's not the best graphics in the industry, but the art design is amazing. Hogwarts itself is a masterpiece of location design. It definitely manages to bring to the Wizarding World.

    While I like the most aspects of the game some can really frustrate me:
    1) Side quests aren't really that versatile, most of them are just bring that, do that. At first, these activities can be really fun but they grow repetitive rather quickly.
    2) Real-time growth of plants and brewing of potions? Really? Is this some kind of Chinese MMORPG?
    3) It can be buggy and the performance isn't flawless at all times.

    In conclusion, Hogwarts Legacy isn't a masterpiece, but it can easily bring you to your childhood and deliver the magical experience we all desire. An easy 8.5 out of 10.    … Expand

I love just flying on my brum and exploring the world for dungeons because the combat in this game it's also really good.     This game is pure magic. I cannot explain the emotion I’ve felt when I first played it. From getting sorted into my house to the detailed and amazing world of Hogwarts to the gameplay, everything in this game is beautifully crafted. I cannot fault anything in this game. It’s a shame there are people who hate this game. I pity them and feel sorry for them. They are seriously patheticThis game is pure magic.     This brings me back to the good old days of RPGs. This fills the void if you have ever wanted to experience a being the Wizard/Witch fantasy. What better source material then the Wizarding World. Strong contender for GOTY. Don't let any of the social complaints detract from what Avalanche has created here.

    This game is amazing. The detail is incredible, and walking about the castle is a delight. Flying on a broom, the Room of Requirement, casting spells, solving puzzles, there is just so much to love about this game!

    I have have been playing it sense the 7th. Hours in and still tons of wonder in the word of Hogwarts. I look forward to exploring. As far as the controversy. Everyone crying about Hogwarts are over grown children that have fabricated a controversy to try and hurt JK. The problem is JK is a raging leftist herself, and supports the LGBT community. But there has been a lot of problems withI have have been playing it sense the 7th. Hours in and still tons of wonder in the word of Hogwarts. I look forward to exploring. As far as the controversy. Everyone crying about Hogwarts are over grown children that have fabricated a controversy to try and hurt JK. The problem is JK is a raging leftist herself, and supports the LGBT community. But there has been a lot of problems with men and young boy identifying as a girl or woman. Who have attracted women in a venerable state in bathrooms alone. You can try and deny it but it is dangerous. On top of dealing with someone who's mental reality is destroyed, we have to just shut up, and expect it as far as the trans community is concerned. Simply JK doesn't agree with this. She thinks it's would be appropriate for them to have there own bathrooms. She still supports the trans community. Truthfully i don't or at least not anymore. Now that the LGBT community has decided well now your kids are mine to influence. I could care less what happens to any of them.     The closest game comparison is probably Skyrim, but this game is much more charming, more fun, and the combat is actually better. It does have its shortcomings like average graphics and voice acting, but Skyrim had the same weaknesses.

    I love this game, i have been waiting for this since i was a child, the classes arefun i really enjoy being able to run off in whatever direction my fancy takes me, explore the word? have at it, complete side quests? Lots to do.
    Main story? Apart from some set up explanation very interesting.
    The room od requirement it great im glad we have access to it, also peeves is a pain xD

    The game that every Wizarding World fan has wanted. It has areas to improve but for the game to come out on day 1 and perform like this takes me back to when we got complete games out of the box. A lot more can be added in sequels but this game knows what it is and hits the mark.

    The critical reviews of this game based on the political ideology of J.K Rowling are wholly unjustified. This game is phenomenal, and the developers should be encouraged to continue this standard in future games. It is truly one of the most charming gaming experiences I have ever had. 10/10

    I am a man of few words. But this game at every levels from the ground up is so much fun. The graphics, gameplay, combat, story everything is top notch. I have no clue why it’s not a higher score. I think it’s perfect.

    Such an amazing RPG in its own right and then on top of that your get to live as a student in hogwarts. Just wonderful. The recreation of the school and grounds is truly an amazing achievement. If you enjoy Harry Potter. You need this game in your life.

These sidequests "collect this" or "bring this **** to me" are so dumb, characters are pretty shallow, eager to tel everything about themselfs because... because) Some gameplayI honestly don't get why this game has so much hype.     Hogwarts Legacy is good enough attempt of Avalanche Studio to make climatic wizard game based on books that lack enough depth and complexity to make full open world triple A game out of it.

    TLDR: The game probably is good enough for the fans of the Harry Potter series and there is no harm in enjoying art, even if questionable person is behind the pen. The main problems though, in my    Hogwarts Legacy is good enough attempt of Avalanche Studio to make climatic wizard game based on books that lack enough depth and complexity to make full open world triple A game out of it.

    TLDR: The game probably is good enough for the fans of the Harry Potter series and there is no harm in enjoying art, even if questionable person is behind the pen.
    The main problems though, in my opinion, are completely outside of the whole drama, and they will be addressed below. That includes worldbuilding, world design, interactivity, dialogue, Ubisoft open world, and fear of Warner Bros executives that the game will not be BIG enough to justify whatever original price they put on it.

    1. Worldbuilding
    The world of Harry Potter and Hogwarts Legacy has the benefit of the real world essentially creating endless possibilities to warp it and change at will fitting the fantasy world of wizards and witches endlessly trying not to bring muggles into their business. This alone should be enough to make one hell of a universe… universe that Hogwarts Legacy barely expands on, that Harry Potter movies altered to bare minimum, enough to make couple of movies out of it. The thing is, videogame is not a movie, and it requires quite a lot more work to create believable, enjoyable and well put together world that does not need explanation outside of environmental storytelling on its own.

    2. Ubisoft open world design

    Second most visible and painful problem is the checklist well known from Ubisoft productions like Assassins Creed, so called fillers that they’re giving players to sink hours into completion that has nothing of value, but cosmetics, upgrades, craftables.
    Hogwarts Legacy has quite a lot of them, and I can only assume that they were made purely to fit the popular world designs of triple A games that we were fed for past couple of years.
    Once you try any of those collectables once, all of them work pretty much the same, and there’s way more than enough of them to give you a headache, especially if you’re a completionist.
    What also stands out is that every cave has exactly the same design, every bandit camp is the same thing, and there is simply not enough unique locations to do something better with it.

    3. Dialogue

    I should put it in the first place, but considering that game with mute protagonist and NPCs that you can talk not even once to in order to complete the game, it lands on third place, just because it exists in this game and it is beyond annoying.
    Most of the characters are boring, and their dialogue is something you would see more in a parody of Harry Potter more than actual and serious game.
    Side-quest dialogue is stiff, and feels like not enough budget was put into minor background characters, while everything was pumped into cutscenes including characters vital to the main story.

    4. Speaking of side quests.

    Considering that I did not finish the game yet, and I’m probably not even halfway through it I can’t really have an opinion on main story, but so far every single side quests I completed was just a simple fetch, kill, gather quest that also feels like a filler, in addition to world design issues I stated earlier. I believe there are some quests that are interesting, but I am yet to complete them.

    5. Interactivity

    Nearly non existing.
    This one is essentially dropped from Avalanches to do list. You can spin the globe, pet the cat, have some beasts, whatever. Interactions with what matters are not there. You can get one liners from some students in the castle. Every interaction that starts the quest is something you would expect current AI robots to do. It is not believable. Characters just stand waiting for you to approach them, do your thing, come back and then never interact with them again. For a videogame following this design you would expect to find characters asking for help midway through the thing they ask you to do, not just stand and wait for their savior. If you take into consideration games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Hogwarts Legacy is 10 steps back in terms of interactivity with the world.
    I will not mention the whole ‘choice matters’ thing, because there is no choice to nothing.

    6. World design and aesthetics

    The most important to me, certainly not to others.
    I will start by saying that designs in this game are wonderful.
    Ambience and aesthetics of the castles interior are on par with Elden Rings.
    The problem starts when you’re getting bored of the castle and you want to explore outside of it, because… there is not a lot to explore. If you take the checklist locations you’re really left with couple of places that shine the most.
    I think that while with real life locations, such as Hogwarts being in UK, worldbuilding gets the most opportunities to shine, while world design can get tricky to pull off, and you can clearly see that just flying around the map.    … Expand

    A wonderful game, engrossing and engaging in every way. If you aren’t a fan of the setting, it may not do much for you — but obviously, you probably wouldn’t choose this anyway. But if you are at all interested in the world, this is a slam dunk. The quest and character systems are deep, the world is massive, and most of all, the combat is really well done, and that was a nice surprise. AA wonderful game, engrossing and engaging in every way. If you aren’t a fan of the setting, it may not do much for you — but obviously, you probably wouldn’t choose this anyway. But if you are at all interested in the world, this is a slam dunk. The quest and character systems are deep, the world is massive, and most of all, the combat is really well done, and that was a nice surprise. A 9.7-9.8 for me. Well done.… Expand

    Just incredible. The fact that the game came entirely playable without the need for a first-day patch on PS5 is amazing. Great job. It is not every day we get a game as polished as this one.

    Great game so far! I wish there was more emphasis on choice and consequence but the world and gameplay is great. I'm not a Harry Potter fan but I love open world RPG style magic games so I had to try it out

    Likely many others, I read all the HP books when they came out and wished I lived in the HP universe when I was a kid. This game captures of the magic of the universe while also making it darker. The combat system is different, but once you get the hang of it, it’s smooth. It’s not perfect as picking a specific target can be a mess in a crowd. Flying around on the broom and the easy fast traveling system makes maneuvering the map a good time. Want to explore? Fly around. Want to get right to where you want to go? Fast travel and then fly the remaining distance. I loved the game, beat it and completed over 90% of the challenges this past week. I really hope it gets turned into a tv show that goes as dark as the game goes.

    As for bad reviews go, if any negative review starts off by speaking of JK Rowling, take it with a grain of salt.    … Expand

    The visuals are stunning and the gameplay is challenging. I'd recommend this one for anyone even slightly into gaming and fantasy themes. Being a fan of the potterverse is not at all necessary to have a great time.

You're constantly thrown loot, but it's all duplicated junk that fits more in a Barbie Dreamland game than it does here.

    I am 35 and have been a big gamer all my life. I've played 100's of games in almost all the genre's. This game is a masterpiece and deserves recognition for all the hard work that went into it.     Loved this game!!! hits right in the nostalgia :) … Awesome world budling; perfect gameplay, some lil bugs here and there, nothing to really complain about. It is not the best story, but it works and I really want to see more of it.

    I really enjoyed this game but there were a few things that I really didn't like, I've listed them below
    1. The Loading Icon on Doors, because It being a AAA title it should have fast loading times.

    3. Slow Pacing, During the initial quests the pacing of the game is terrible, It takes a few hours just for you to get your broom and experience the open world.
    4.The cutscenes have sloppy transitions, Seemless Transitions would've been so great like in other games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, AC Valhalla, GoW Ragnarok etc.
    Other than these minor issues I really enjoyed this game as it represents the Harry Potter Universe so magnificently.
    The main story was absolutely amazing and the side quests were just as fun as the main quests. The open world was amazing as well there were countless times where I would just go explore.
    The character customization was very good as well, I
    initially I was a bit skeptical about the combat but I really liked the combat the spell selection was also very nice.

    It's not an awful game, it just doesn't do anything that other games haven't done to death. I think people are willing to overlook quite a lot of this because of the source material. For me, the fact the source material is A star grade, gives them little excuse for making the    TLDR: Uninspired, fetch this, repetitive, handholding buggy. Wait for sale, not worth the full price tag.

On PS5 I regularly run into glitches that require me to reload the previous autosave. Other times the game outright crashes. There are a bit too many collectibles, and recycled animations for the majority of them get tiresome very quickly.

    There is zero substance to dungeons, you literally open the door through some mediocre puzzle that you've probably already solved a few times over at other locations. Then the door opens, you walk in and there's a chest to open and you leave. That's it. It's a chore, same as the Merlin puzzles, which differ midly, again they become a chore so much that I just started ignoring them. Just lazy game design, no way else to describe it. Copied and pasted nonsense. I was really looking forward to this game, I'm a bit gutted that they fell into the same boring fetch-athons and uninspired design that so many new games seem to be doing these days. Forspoken and Assassin's creed Valhalla would be the same flavor.    … Expand

    Not only is the story exciting, there is plenty to explore and the world feels alive with the amount of random encounters you can come across in Hogwarts and the world.

    So far I've been playing for about 15 hours. And the game is great. Better than what I expected from it. The only thing that slightly spoils my experience are bugs. Strongrst sides - music, fights, beautiful castle. The story is also compelling. Although I do not expect any incredible twists and turns from it. Incredibly, but I got more satisfaction than from God of War.

    I never liked the Harry Potter books or movies. That said, this is good solid game. The hogwarts setting which I thought would be the main turn off for me is actually quite interesting to play through. Fun gameplay, interesting story, great music, exciting exploration. Only gripe I have is flying mechanics are kinda wonky to get used to.

    Hacia muchísimos años que un juego no me sacaba una sonrisa cada 5 minutos, tengo 29 años y harry potter fue algo muy importante y parte de mi infancia, soñar con ir a Hogwarts, poder usar mi varita y emplear tantos hechizos, sin dudas no será el juego perfecto pero para lo que a mi representa es mi GOTY sin lugar a dudas del 2023

    Tons of fun running around the castle and seeing places from the books and movies. There doesn't even need a story and I would love doing that and getting collectibles.

    I wasn't thinking of buying this game. But, because of the woke people trying to cancel the game, I bought it and now I am thankful. The game is awesome. I know it's to soon, but I think it will be the best game of 2023, or at least will be in the Top 3.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Vraiment déçu, le potentiel de ce jeux est pourtant incroyable ! Étant un fan de l'univers d'Harry Potter j'ai trouvé Poudlard incroyable ! Visiter le chateau, se promener dans ses couloirs et découvrir ses mystères est tout simplement dingue, l'ambiance est folle et c'est un pur bonheur.

    Cependant j'ai beaucoup de mal à trouver d'autres points positifs au jeu, techniquement en retard pour un jeu qui sort en 2023. La navigation dans les menus est une purge, tellement lente avec un curseur libre à déplacer au joystick et des temps de chargement vraiment pénibles.

    La conduite au balais nécessitant 2 joystick n'est absolument pas instinctive à mon sens et empêche de fait l'utilisation du joystick de droite pour profiter librement de la caméra, et il est impossible de le modifier pour une utilisation classique (joystick de gauche pour se diriger et celui de droite pour la caméra). Cette configuration n'a pour moi aucun sens et me frustre beaucoup.

    En parlant de frustration le système de potion avec son cooldown digne d'un jeu de smartphone m'a également saoulé, ainsi que les missions principales et quêtes annexes que j'ai trouvé pour la pluspart sympathiques... mais sans plus.

    Il y aurait eu moyen de faire tellement mieux, mais au lieu de ca on est tenu par la main du début à la fin du jeu, allant de missions tuto en missions tuto.
    Seule l'exploration de ce monde et la découverte et résolution de ses énigmes a été pour moi source de plaisirs.    … Expand

    This game is contender for game of the year and the year just started! The beauty, gameplay and story are all just amazing. Every time I start playing is extremely hard to stop. I played the first 7 hours of the game and have not made a dent to the story line because I just can't stop exploring Hogwarts!

The game looks good yes, but only on the technical side, the artistic direction is at best forgettable and at worst really poorly designed. The story is actually atrocious and doesn't revolve around any meaningful plot points that the player wants to explore, even the dreadful events happening to essential characters (not gonna spoil it but it's not very original tbh) don't evoke any particular emotions because of how bad the writing is, the end plot is very obvious and isn't well-thought at all. (not even gonna talk about how the story is very antisemitic, that's a whole other discussion). The game is also poorly handled from the technical side with many framerate drops on PS5, many crashes and game-altering bugs like going through floors, soft locks, and NPC warping into walls. Not minor events to say the least. This game is to be avoided like hell, and I would go as far as saying that it needs to be approached very carefully when reading positive media reviews. The game has MANY problems, and I've not even talked about the transphobic controversies surrounding the game and JKR. Buying this game second-hand or when it is much cheaper is really great advice I would give to anyone interested in buying this piece of hot garbage. even if you are a Potterhead like me. Incredibly disappointed with the end result. Currently, the user score is 9.1 which is one of the most overrated games I've ever seen on Metacritic, maybe inversed review bombing? Idk but reading through most of them they don't hold anything special about the actual content of the game apart from being mad at the "woke crowd". Chronically online takes for the most part, most of them didn't played the actual game or should play better games once in a while because giving it such high grades is not serious. 0/10 and it deserves it.… Expand

    Das beste Spiel seid gefühlter Ewigkeit. Spannend, abwechslungsreich, gute Story und hoher Suchtfaktor. Andere Entwickler sollten sich da mal ein oder mehrere Schreiben abschneiden.

    I have started to play this game yesterday. This game is awesome. I am not a Harry Poter fan but man the atmosphere in this game is beautiful. definitely a 9/10 for me so far

    In short, I've never been a fan of this Universe. I didn't grow up with Harry Potter and I'm surprised that I can't tear myself away from this game ... everything just played ... I'm already after 20 hours and the end is not in sight ... I'm very pleasantly surprised and recommend it even to non-fans.

    Remeber when "those people" used to just want to be "left alone" and "treated equal", but now they try to dictate everything we do and say and now what we play? Best game ever! 10/10. If you really want to be "left alone" then lock your door, close the blinds and let me play my game. The whole world isn't gonna walk on eggshells for you few hyper sensitive individuals. Get over it.

    If you grew up a Harry Potter fan and still have Hogwarts in your heart, this might be a dream come true. Hogwarts Legacy is exactly what you'd expect from an open-world RPG set in this universe. Immersive and beautifully crafted, with lots of spells, challenges, beasts, quests, combat and great storytelling. It's so much fun, you could drive 100+ hours without feeling it.

    Love this game. Big potter fan. Love open world action RPG's so this is a perfect game for me. Playing on xbox series X and the game looks great and plays very well. Highly recommended!

    Awesome game and has me hooked in one of those "just one more quest" kind of ways. The production values are there. Performance on PC can use a good patch or two to fix some of the framerate drops but it mostly runs smoothly. Don't beleive the controversy, the game is not transphobic or anti-semitic, anyone who tells you this is just pushing an agenda and clearly reaching.

    It's been a decade since we've had a full Potterverse game, but the wait has been well worth it. Hogwarts Legacy gets just about everything right, with its involving storyline and myriad of main and side quests. Perhaps its finest feature though is Hogwarts itself, providing as much joy in just exploring the halls as performing set tasks. We doubt a single Harry Potter fan will be disappointed. We certainly weren't.
