    Guys, I am 48 years old and I have never been a fan of Rowling's work (but I began to respect her just for one of her famous phrases!), I have not read a single Harry Potter book, I have not watched a single Harry Potter movie. I have always treated Harry as a fairy tale for preschoolers. But this game changed my mind! I fell in love with this universe. For the first time in many yearsGuys, I am 48 years old and I have never been a fan of Rowling's work (but I began to respect her just for one of her famous phrases!), I have not read a single Harry Potter book, I have not watched a single Harry Potter movie. I have always treated Harry as a fairy tale for preschoolers. But this game changed my mind! I fell in love with this universe. For the first time in many years - I understand that not only will I go through the game from start to finish, but I will also play more and more. Everything is great here! World, characters, atmosphere, graphics. Only one strange bug - the woman owner of the "Three Broomsticks" pub for some reason speaks in a male voice - the children and I laughed for a long time - it looks both funny and terribly ugly. Everything else is just great! It's not just a big game - it's huge. This is such work! I admire! My respect to the creators! And I just want to ask them - more! Give us more Hogwarts and this universe!… Expand

    Love the game, can't wait for DLC but have to take points off for annoying hand holding + combat doesn't scale with skill - difficulty doesn't increase with your ability, especially when you get all the unforgivables. Overall, best WW experience since the original films!

    Hogwarts Legacy is an amazing game. Graphics, gameplay, and the story are all solid. Regardless if you’re a Harry Potter fan or not this game should scratch the itch of an open world adventure by most who play it. My girlfriend and I have already put more hours into this game than I’d like to admit. Do yourself a favor and play it.

Hogwarts Legacy will cast it's spell apon you to fall in love with an amazing recreation of Hogwarts which will last about 10hrs or untill you start to venture off into the world that surrounds the magical castle. Once you get over the first impression you will soon realize that this is one of25hrs played. Only buy this game if you have low RPG expectations or are a massive Potter fan. Hogwarts Legacy will cast it's spell apon you to fall in love with an amazing recreation of Hogwarts which will last about 10hrs or untill you start to venture off into the world that surrounds the magical castle. Once you get over the first impression you will soon realize that this is one of the most boring games you will ever play loaded with an ever lasting list of tasks, collectibles and "challenges" that are all just as dull as the last one. Mixed with a terrible story, relentless audio quips the worst loot system I've seen in a long time and npcs picked out from the 90's this is a game that doesn't even get close to the 9 and 10 scores people are giving it. The game is fantastic. I’m about 30+ hours in, finished the main campaign, and going for platinum now. It’s the game I’ve been waiting 20 years for.     An extremely repetitive game in all senses. Side quests seem irrelevant to the story, combat is boring and the tutorial portion of the game takes way too long before you can actually start exploring open world. It’s too bad because you can tell a lot of money and time was spent on making it - but the finished product just feels sloppy. Like a worse cyberpunk

    Update: 40 hours in, it’s a masterpiece!

    The side quests are done great and are encouraging and interesting.
    The open world is beautiful but simple world design.
    Combat is nice and overall the game is great for the average gamer and excellent for Harry Potter fans.

    Generic trash for people who don't play videogames often. I can't make myself play this for more than 20 mins straight. Generic dialogs, characters and surroundings. If you never played videogames and you are Harry Potter fan - proceed, otherwise - just play some game with gameplay and story

I really enjoy the gameplay, world has alot of attention to detail, I enjoy some of the side characters alot, I like the transmog system, and it's a very enjoyable experience for anyone who likes WW. Also I like that it isn't a 60 hour bloat fest to complete the main story, solid 20-30 to beat the main story while experiencing alot of what the game has to offer, but it also offers content to play and get in plenty of playtime if you want.
    Its downsides for me are the story in terms of the layers and RPG aspects, it really lacks in those areas, its held up by strong characters and a very captivating world but a really barebones story. I also think it could've had a much better end game villain or one that was more fleshed out because they kinda dropped the ball there.    … Expand

A truly fan-service with excellent gameplay, the game has minor bugs, but this doesn’t affect the final rate.     It's not bad, they've adapted the Harry Potter world excellenty but ultimately it feels like a mediocre Assassin's Creed clone with few own original ideas, the quests are dull and tedious. I do like how very diverse the cast is and the game is LGBTQ+ inclusive which must have been a very concious decision by the developer. Nice to see an inclusive game like this being so successful.

However, the main plot is the worst thing about this game and story is often the most important aspect of games like these for me.     The combat is fun, but the closer you get to the later stages of the game the lazier you get and honestly it loses a lot its charm very quick. Not enough spells and combos to use, which is why so many people use the "easy" way out by just using overpowered stuff. And I don't blame them.

    I originally planned to Platinum this game, but the repetitive dungeons and the massive amount of collectibles, that sometimes just take too much time to get, made me decide against it. Also the gameplay with the fantastic beasts is bland, too time consuming and not worth the effort.

    Hogwarts Legacy is a great game for people who want to explore the Wizarding World and I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Harry Potter. People who really don't care about that world and its characters should probably not play this since the plot is not good enough to compensate for a lack of love and nostalgia coming from you when you enter this world as a non-fan.    … Expand

Tem missões secundárias e promarias que não posso cumprir pq o jogo não permite por falta de interação com os NPCs. Missões que não têm recursos necessários para execução. Estava indo tudo bem até a primeira atualização ou depois que cheguei no inverno. Já desinstalei e reinstalei o jogo mas sem êxito.Dublagem excepcional. Mundo aberto é um fenômeno. O jogo está muito ruim no ps5. Tem missões secundárias e promarias que não posso cumprir pq o jogo não permite por falta de interação com os NPCs. Missões que não têm recursos necessários para execução. Estava indo tudo bem até a primeira atualização ou depois que cheguei no inverno. Já desinstalei e reinstalei o jogo mas sem êxito. Agora é interromper a jornada até que a produtora corrija isso, sabe-se lá quando. Exceptional dubbing. Open world is a phenomenon. The game is really bad on ps5.     que me chamou a atenção foi a possibilidade de criar o próprio personagem e
    escolher a casa em que ele vai estudar. Eu fiquei dividido entre a Grifinória e
    a Sonserina, mas acabei escolhendo Sonserina, afinal, queria saber mais sobre o
    "lado negro".

    A partir daí, o jogo começa a desenrolar com uma história
    própria, mas que se encaixa perfeitamente no universo criado por J.K. Rowling.
    O gráfico é incrível e a imersão é total. Você se sente realmente em Hogwarts,
    com direito a passeios pelo castelo, aulas de poções e duelos com outros
    alunos.

    Aliás, os duelos foram uma das partes que mais gostei. O estilo
    free-flow que vem da série Batman Arkham funciona perfeitamente aqui, e mostra o
    quanto ele pode ser divertido e funcionar para qualquer tipo de tema, os duelos
    em Hogwarts Legacy são bem divertidos e desafiadores, é preciso usar estratégia
    para vencer os adversários e é muito satisfatório quando conseguimos acertar um
    feitiço bem colocado. Elelementos de Zelda na exploração e uso da magia também funcionam perfeitamente aqui sendo usados pra resolução de puzzles e combate, assim como a construção de mundo e das quests, que tem muita semelhança com a construção de mundo em The Witcher 3, mesmo não tendo quests tão elaboradas quanto sua inspiração.

    Agora, falando sério, eu sei que muita gente está em dúvida se deve
    ou não jogar Hogwarts Legacy, devido à polêmica envolvendo a autora J.K.
    Rowling. Eu também não concordo com as opiniões dela, mas acho que cada um deve
    seguir o seu coração. Se você é fã de Harry Potter e está com vontade de jogar,
    vá em frente. Eu, que não sou fã, já estou me divertindo bastante. E se você
    decidir não jogar, também é uma escolha válida. O importante é respeitar as
    opiniões uns dos outros e lembrar que, no fim das contas, a magia de Hogwarts
    sempre vai estar presente em nossos corações.

Pacing also wasn't the best, the missions are a bit weak sometimes, some missions were super fun, others were meh and boring, or repetitive, especially in the Mid-Late game, I liked the story and found it intersting, but one of those you're the savior or whatever stories, it felt lazy writing and the dialogue/narrative wasn't good, it wasn't bad but it didn't move me at all, especially with the dialogue being so basic.
    Characters on the other hand we're handled fine, some of them were really good, others were ok but lazy, the world felt alive at some places others felt completely dead, U can't interact with NPCs/Students unless it's a main mission, you would at attack them and they wont respond, leveling up in the game was OK, especially with some side content feeling boring, and some felt more serious than the main story, the missions were weak and lost a lot of potential being really really interesting IMO.
    The Room of Requirement is a good nice touch, I liked it a lot, and I liked Deek, it made the game better and Hogwarts even more impressive.
    Overall I liked the game and the experience was fun, other than cheesy and meh dialogue and some weak missions, it felt really good to explore the world of harry potter with knowing nothing about it, I give the game 84%.

    Overall I did like Hogwarts Legacy. It is quite impressive what this team was able to do. The castle and world is gorgeous. The attention to detail is great. The combat is fun and the main story is decently entertaining. However despite these things it does good it does have some flaws that I don't see many people talking about. I am a big Harry Potter fan but despite that I wanna be unbiased with the game and critiques on it. The open world is very boring after the initial "Honeymoon" phase. It is essentially a low grade ubisoft open world that consist of "caves/dungeons" that result in walking maybe thirty yards just to find a chest of an item that is under your level and maybe the occasional basic enemy. The merlin trials are pretty skippable once you upgrade your gear slots about two times. As you can just easily go to the vendor and sell all non essential items. The enemy camps have no interesting reason to try to explore as it's just lackluster loot after you fight about fifteen or so enemies. The exploration in the castle isn't even that fun once you realize that 99% of the stuff is just collectible pages and more disappointing loot. It really does take the fun out of it as there is so much more potential to be had. There are the occasional good side quest but I would say the best side quests in this game are equal to the worse side quests of a game like what the Wither 3 has to offer. I did find the dark arts quest pretty cool and just really wish there was more stuff of that level more abundantly in the game. The broom flight is really cool and so are the mounts. Although, the broom upgrades feel like there is no difference at all which is a bummer. The Room of requirement and taming the beast were also pleasantly fun and cool to delve into. However I just don't find the positives of the game to bring it past a mediocre game. Overall it is mediocre but lack of interesting sidequest, boring open world with copy paste activities, basic story, mediocre voice acting, and only a few characters that are actually likeable make it hard to really give it a higher score sadly. I would give it a 6.5 out of ten if we could do decimals in the rating. Not bad but certainly not a 9 out of 10 or even an 8.… Expand

    The game has everything a Harry Potter fan could ever dreamt of in a video game (beside Quidditch), it's like my childhood dream comes to life. The combat is also surprisingly satisfying although I didn't expect much from it at first. And it works really well on the PS5 right at launch, that alone is a huge thumbs up, every Graphics modes works exactly how it's supposed to.

    Okay, this game wasn't that bad or good until one moment. Until the moment when I just literally can't solve the puzzle on my own, not with the help of guides or youtube. If you're an adequate person, then walk away. If you're a fool (a fan of the Harry Potter universe) - then the game is for you. I hope you get sucked in and don't get out of here like I did. Haha

They should have started with just Hogwarts, the FF, and hogsmeade and made the game much deeper.     Simply a great game no matter how you slice it. Good story, user friendly controls/gameplay. The amount of detail that went into all the architecture of Hogwarts Castle is beyond words. Looking forward to DLC's and a sequel!

    Having a blast with it right now. Not even a HP fan myself but overall it's a extremely charming game with great music, voice acting, and graphics are pretty great. The combat is really fun as well. A must have for anybody wanting a fun open world game.

Only minor issues I have is that I would’ve loved to dive underwater and meet the Sirens and even though I don’t care much about Quidditch IWhat a BLAST this game is wow!     - No choices to decorate your Dorm. Contrary to what they made it look like at pre-release trailers. Your Dorm area/bed is just useless.
    - You can't even sleep at your Dorm. Can't sit or do other simple actions.
    - Character creation is EXTREMELY limited. You can only pick between presets. All MCs look the same. White complexion choices are limited. Majority are Black/Philippino/Asian/Indian.
    - The Character Creation character doesn't match the in-game character you see. It looks like the facial rig is bugged. All presets look the same in-game. Where is the "make any character you want" they advertised?
    - In-game character models look like PS2 era graphics.
    - Students and faculty disappear from existence at night. Students are not even at their Dorms. Hogwarts is just empty dead.
    - No curfew at night. You can enter the Restricted Section of the Library and nobody is there to stop you. It's just an abandoned castle. All NPCs disappear!

    It feels like you join 5th year as a transfer student just to ditch at the end of the questline. No attachment to the place at all    … Expand

With a main story that is both whimsical and gritty, and over a hundred side quests, there are countless reasons to ply out an enchanting life in the game. Occasional graphical issues are noticeable but overall negligible to the abundant sense of wonder. Hogwarts Legacy is a spellbinding and enchanting experience not to be missed.

The school element of the story disappears halfway through the game. It is a pretty shameless nostalgia bait with mid level combat and narrative.

    The decisions you make have no impact on your story or the story of those around you. You can be as big of a dick as you want, you can use unforgivable curses in front of students and teachers and nobody cares. You can state you want to wield the unknown power at the end of the game and rule, and then just nothing happens or comes of it. The ending and final quest in Hogwarts rip off multiple book endings in one go.

    Top 5 game all time in my 35 years of gaming. The crafting and cosmetics are present and fun but not convoluted or overemphasized. A few combat elements could benefit from a patch, but tons of fun in it's current state on PS5.

    AMAZING game, I'm so happy that the developers put their efforts on this game, it feels so alive and everything is literally breathtaking. 10/10 game it's worth every penny I spent on it.

    So i was caught on hype and bought on release like many other people. My lord I can't believe how boring and repetitive this game is. The world is so empty, dull with ugly graphics from 2016 at max. After 20h I was forcing myself to play and finish only the main story but I couldn't and sold my copy asap. One of the most boring and overrated game I have ever played.

    One of the first games in years that has kept me coming back every single day. 55 hours in and not even done with the main story. I plan to play through it at least once in each house. Game of the year hands down, so far.

    I know basically nothing about Harry Potter but this game is a blast. I bought it because I was hearing about some controversy around it so, like everyone knows, where there's controversy, there's a great game!! This one did not disappoint!! Only con was that it's a little pricey and the Xbox One version isn't available at launch.

    Keep politics out of gaming. This game does it great. You pick who you want to be and create your own character. You can even be a male character a boy with a big ol winky who if they wish can identify as a witch and vice versa. And they call this game transphobic. Graphics are amazing too and exciting gameplay. Trolls, goblins, monsters.

    What would have been a so-so game with its familiar open-world mechanics, story & gameplay is elevated by a meticulously crafted and living world full of beauty & lore. Couldn't put it down.

    Absolutely FANTASTIC Game!!! As a Harry Potter fan, I always wanted a game like this. You can explore whole Hogwarts + Hogsmead and other smaller villages. The Story is nice, but there are some things you only understand if you watched the movies or/and read the books. And this makes the game even more interesting.

Also, the story and characters were not terrible. By far the thing that hooked me, was the attention to detail, particularly in Hogwarts castle itself.     Boring story, bland combat, too many collectibles that you HAVE to collect or you can't advance certain missions. The atmosphere is done well but other than that the game falls flat.

    Hogwarts Legacy has a great character design and could have had a great story too but the story is not so strong. the gameplay feels great and exploration is so entertaining. visually its great and Hogwarts castle is so detailed.

    It's been a decade since we've had a full Potterverse game, but the wait has been well worth it. Hogwarts Legacy gets just about everything right, with its involving storyline and myriad of main and side quests. Perhaps its finest feature though is Hogwarts itself, providing as much joy in just exploring the halls as performing set tasks. We doubt a single Harry Potter fan will be disappointed. We certainly weren't.
