    If you even remotely like Harry Potter this game is a 10/10. It will transport you to that magical world in a way that no other game has done before. The atmosphere is simply perfect and the first time you fly on a broom will do down in history as one of the best scenes in video games.     Incredible immersive trip in Harry Potter's universe. Hogwart is more impressive than ever (one of the most imposant building in the history in video games). The system battle can seems boring but it's very interisting at the end

    Gran juego de mundo abierto, ha Sido el único juego donde puedo perderme en su mundo y explorar por puro gozo.     Great game runs great on my ps5 no major issues for a rpg fresh out the box highly recommended if you love the universe of Harry Potter even if you didn't before it can make a fan out of you my gf had never seen movies and the game made her her want to watch em so we are.

She already retconned Dumbledore being gay to satisfy you liberal idiots.     Honestly it's an 8.5 out of 10, at best. But I'm giving it a 10 to offset all the losers review bombing this game. First off, it's no where near the level of quality set by Red Dead Redemption 2. It's more akin to Zelda games, specifically Breath of the Wild. Combat is satisfying, original, and unique. Swimming is clunky and needs more work. The devs have done many things to make the LGBTQ community feel safe and welcomed into the world of hogwarts. There is a transgender character in the game and you can even do things like have a female voice with female hair on a male character etc etc allowing players to express themselves in any wayThis game is so good.     It's below average RPG but a great Harry Potter game.

    The fighting system is sound, and that's about it. There are no real moral choices; there is no role playing in Role Playing game. The plot is not great, the characters are bland, and the voice acting - in most cases - is just straight-up bad. What makes the game is the setting.     The game has many technical weaknesses and looks more like 2010 than 2023.
    on the ps5 there are always frame dips, despite the performance mode.
    the world has been filled with many unnecessary and boring collection quests like ubisoft.

    Overall the game is okay, but nothing more. it's doing better than cyberpunk at release, but it's still very buggy.

    Very impressive game. The world is really well built and feels alive. Around 15 hours in. I recommend it if you like single player exploration, action/rpg and magic. I'm not much of a Harry Potter fan but I can just feel the effort and passion that went into making this game in every corner I explore and it really motivates me to discover more :) I'm hoping the devs add multiplayer. A pcVery impressive game. The world is really well built and feels alive. Around 15 hours in. I recommend it if you like single player exploration, action/rpg and magic.     Childhood dreams come true. Exploring the castle on its own could be a whole game. The combat is addicting, exploration is rewarding. The story is engaging, the characters are interesting. The graphics are beautiful and the score is magical. It is truly everything I could’ve ever wanted in this game.

    At first there is a WOW factor. But after 5 hours I just deleted the game even though it was expensive. I am not gonna waste my time with this slog of a game. My god so much levelling up, loot/chest boxes. Buying and selling gear. So much padding. And I am not even half way through. Animations janky also.

    No one wants to make solid 8-20 hour campaigns anymore with no **** padding and no rpg grind/level up and chest boxes. I hope this trend dies out. So sick of it makes me vomit.

    - Tedius level design
    - Ubisoft like so many collectables
    - Mediocre story and voice acting delivery

It is a fantastic game, and the love/detail put in by the developments does not go unseen.     -Checklist simulator-
    Sadly it didn't keep. The game is an open world checklist simulator. The idea that "people want to open menu buttons to collect things", that for whatever unfathomable reason actually finds an audience in microtransaction mobile games, is copied over so directly that at times I'm genuinely surprised it's not asking me for "diamonds" to "speed this up"; it's so sad that this is what I was reminded of. It reeks of poor game design.

    And that, at its heart, is what it is. While beautiful, that's where all the budget ended. Immersion is nowhere to be found, despite the intricate details of the castle. Classical RPG elements have been watered down so much that one can't help but wonder why they're even there. Loot - armor pieces - don't feel worth collecting with a poor itemization system, and they're the only tangible gameplay altering things to collect too. Oh a chest. Wonder what's in there? ...you guessed it, your 65th hat with no fun stats to speak of! The other collectibles ultimately all lead to those same armor rewards, and the way to get them is too similar, a string of unimaginative, repetitive tasks that bore after the third time. Move rocks from place A to B. Collect three floaty smoky things. And you get another check on your list- do it 16 more times! Now 25 more times! Add to that a sprinkle of unneeded inventory management just so it can add another "collect 95(! no exaggeration) of the same minigame across the world" to give the illusion of "something to do".

    -Combat-
    Combat. Initially fun, specifically in a more RP setting of dueling, it ended up being repetitive despite the effort to make enemies unique. Maybe it's the lack of variation in enemies. Or maybe it's because going to Hogwarts should not be about combat, let alone the main thing of the game. Anyway. You get talent points, and instead of using them in a fun way, they also gated basic quality of life behind talents, stuff that should be baseline to ensure a good player experience. As a result it just feels I'm getting cheated on my points when I can't put them in the cool places in the tree. Need to level some more first! It is yet another example of artificially padding the length of a game, the pitfall of poorly thought out open world games.

    -No character development or immersion-
    And I could have been ok with that, but it gets worse. The fantasy of Hogwarts is one where outcasts can still fit in. The escape to a magical place. Instead, I'm singled out all game. I'm a natural at flying, herbology, charms, and teachers don't hesitate to tell me again and again. Professors give me special attention, special classes, special tasks. I have a rare special power, rivaling or even one-upping Dumbelore's strength. I hate that. Let me be a Normal Student. Let me RP my way through, I can't even sleep in my own bed, I can't sit on a comfy chair in my common room, I can't talk to non-quest npcs, and the few npcs that I can interact with are bland. Spending the night is done literally on rugs waiting at the quest location. I want to do my Owls, suck at potions because I know I would, make my own friends, eat in the dining hall, and make my choices that impact the story.

    Instead I'm stuck with a lifeless character with terrible voicing, who literally murders other witches, wizards and goblins because they're... poachers? Oh and possibly a threat? Not sure, the story so far (20 hours in) is a 4/10. Despite being a RPG style game, I've about as much chance at character development as I did in Tetris.

    That's not the Hogwarts I wanted to go to.

    I feel they're trying to please too many audiences with this - the casual HP fans only used to mobile games, the Souls fans, the talent-tree fans, Assassin Creed players, the Sims players. You know what they say about Jack of all trades..... Fire Emblem, of all things, did a better job delivering on the school fantasy. Because really, that's what I firmly believe we are after with a game centered around Hogwarts School of Magic.

    -Conclusion-
    Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world checklist game made pretty. Remove the Harry Potter skin, and I'm sure the game would not have done nearly as well. Being carried by the franchise, rather than by its own merits, is a sad place to be for any game.

    That being said, on a personal note. I do love the excessive inclusivity in this game. They just went absolutely overboard and this works in representing an alternative world, of magic and wonder and love, where everyone can be how they are or who they want to be. In the world of Harry Potter, being just you, despite your past or struggles, is good enough. Shame I couldn't also be the witch I wanted to be.    … Expand

    That’s a really good game about Garry Potter universe, interesting main history, some of side quests are boring but this fine, can be excused. I’v meet a couple bugs (not critical). Fight system it’s something amazing, i think too much, how developers make the fight system of this universe, i find this question so important and difficult.

    Honestly, without the anti-trans community running out to support JK, I don't think this game would be nearly as popular. It's OK, but a bit tedious and slow. I may or may not spend more time on it.

    This game is not really stable at the moment, the formula of the open world is just like any generic open world out there, NPCs does not feel like they have any personality at all. And thinking back on the review bombs that said Elden Ring was buggy and stuttering all the time, yet this game also has this problem makes me realize how those hypocrite fan boys really are.

    It's not a perfect game, but to every fan of Harry Potter it's a dream come true, a vast open-world, an interesting story, gorgeous graphics, good and fun characters, and an incredibly fun combat system, it doesn't do many things new, but it's a great game and i personally loved it.

    I'm not a fan of the saga, but this game has made me want to read more about hogwarts, in terms of mechanics, I love being able to execute combos, hopefully in the future I can choose more spells to perform multiple combos, like in a game hahaha fights.

The story is not bad,just average,nothing new or wow. The combat is nice the spells feel good and even if they are just a few they are enough to make you have a lot of fun. What i liked are the puzzles,they are rather fun to solve but after a while i got bored,there are to many and feel repetitive,the collectibles om the other hand where not fun to gather and there are way to many even if the game is open world. The RPG part is rather dissapointing,not even 1 choice you make changes something in the game,none. While the customization of your character is fun the item element is bad,very bad,the game doesn't make the iteme feel like they matter very much,or at all and the fact they make you complete a lot of puzzles and dungeons and stuff for verry little reward or any makes the adventuri element rather empty. The world is big, rather too big for the content they provide but is fun to Fly in your broom ore therestral to see it even if the graphics are not that wow like some people ar trying to tell. The last thing i want to say are the bugs,it has some anoying bugs,i got stuck in more the one mission because the npc wont spawn or because i got stuck in the wall,i even got stuck in the ball form when you dodge. Sometimes the textures are blurry or they don't load properly. In the end the game is good and fun to play but it's not something amazing or spectacular and especially not for a 2023 game. For me it's a 6.5/10 if you are a Harry Potter fan it might be even higher for you,i'm not a huge fan of the films/books but i liked the concept and the idea this beeing the reason i brought the game. After 35 hours and finishing the main story and the important side quest and reaching lvl 35 i can't really say it was worth buying the deluxe edtion.… Expand

Also the gameplay is very dull, 1 attack button, very limited spells... scenery is also terrible, just so empty and a lot of objects look 2D. Even the NPCs have zero facial expressions. The beginning of the game is very exciting and it lasts about 8 hours of the game and you think wow, how everything is worked out, but then the moment of the open world comes and all the courage gives way to slowly coming frustration from the Ubisoft-like philosophy of open world games. Go clean it upThis game is more like a museum about Hogwarts than a game in the world of Harry Potter. The beginning of the game is very exciting and it lasts about 8 hours of the game and you think wow, how everything is worked out, but then the moment of the open world comes and all the courage gives way to slowly coming frustration from the Ubisoft-like philosophy of open world games. Go clean it up then fly collect the balls there, then clean it up again and all the magic disappears. Suddenly you start to wake up from sleep and realize that there are no interesting characters in the game, and quests too. Everything is somehow artificial. It feels like they didn't try at all over the game because of all these most extreme decisions. The developers were afraid to do something unusual and original and chose the easiest way for another open game. This time it's an open-world game with a touch of Harry Potter.     Right up there with the best games I've ever played. As a Harry Potter fan I can't imagine making a better game. This truly captured the magnificence of the entire HP universe. Bravo Avalanche and Thank you for the experience. If I could give more than a 10/10 I would.

The shadows from the stained glass windows feel like they are 8bit graphics, and when one opens doors, the door texture is insanely grainy up close. Patting the cat is a cutscene, with the arm passing through the body of the cat, and the cat looking like a saussage with a texture onDisappointingly flat textures.     There was huge potential in the game for choices in spells and gear to have an impact on the look and aura of your character, but unfortunately there's no upside or downside to casually casting dark spells as much as you want.

    The game is enjoyable to play if you can get past those foibles. The enrolling process is quite fun and gives the game a bright start which you can keep rolling with for quite a long time before other things start to annoy you.

    All in all it feels like unfulfilled potential, but not terrible.    … Expand

    JK Rowling has truly created an exceptionally magical immersive world, and the makers of this game have fully realised it. i have found myself checking out every inch of hogwarts and hogsmeade, there is so much attention to detail in this game, you will not want to turn it off. really hope there will be an expansion...hopefully quidditch! and a sequel. my only gripe is the camera angle,JK Rowling has truly created an exceptionally magical immersive world, and the makers of this game have fully realised it. i have found myself checking out every inch of hogwarts and hogsmeade, there is so much attention to detail in this game, you will not want to turn it off. really hope there will be an expansion...hopefully quidditch! and a sequel. my only gripe is the camera angle, not really liking the offset to the left of the character wish you could make it central and be able to zoom the camera out just a bit. and as i have been playing and i can't help but notice how much more diverse things were over 100 years ago....its er....really immersive… Expand

    An amazing and immersive game. A valid contender for the Game of the year. Main strengths: gameplay and combat system, story line and characters. Considering that is an open-world game I didn't come across many bugs or glitches. It is a wonderful foundation for future DLC and updates.

    Game has become my favorite ever already. The time I'm gonna pour into customizing the personal rooms alone is gonna be tremendous. I don't know how they put so much great stuff into this game, but im blown away. It's unbelievable how much/how many layers this beautifully crafted game has. In awe.

    Best harry potter game ever and one of the most polished games ever. Favorite things about it :
    - the ability to build a base and the customization options
    - the attention to detail and how much there is to explore, you can open almost every door you can see
    - 120 fps mode, stable

    Only complaint is that the control scheme in combat is not very ergonomic and takes a lot of getting used to.

    Ridiculously fun game which is an absolute masterpiece. The gameplay is very well designed, balanced and feels very satisfying. The world is crafted with so much detail and lore. It is filled to the brim with charm and delight around every corner.
    Definitely a must have for Harry Potter fans and for non Harry Potter fans! Will probably go down as one of my favorite games of all time!

    The thing I'm happies about is the game is complete not even a day one patch to fix a bunch of broken issue. But it is missing some thing that would make it even better. The current flight controls are a little odd it should just be one stick to move, and one to look around. A favorite for the invantory system would also be nice as you have to keep changing it up.

    Really really enjoyed the game. I’ve completed main story, I still have some side quests to do but very happy with it. Only thing I’d like is a morality system, there isn’t really any repercussion for using dark arts

    1. I haven't finished the game yet to give a full review.
    2. I witness small texture issues/bugs every now and then.

    Otherwise, this game has my full attention!

    As a casual enjoyer to the Harry Potter series, I appreciate the game is NOT set during Harry Potter's time. With the main character of the world not taking the spotlight, I feel like I can enjoy what the wizarding world has to offer to some not so familiar. The story immediately caught my attention and instigated my curiosity, the combat is fluid and is surprisingly complex, and the world is vast and I am eager to explore.

    Big appreciation for how WB handled the field guide. I don't feel weighed down by the number of collectables in-game and many of them I would say are actually really fun to engage with. Like using accio to collect flying books/pages or the moth painting puzzle(which is one of my favorites)

    The only thing I can say I'm missing is Quidditch, but I am grateful that the development team was upfront about it not appearing rather than lying to me. Maybe they will make my wish come true with Quidditch DLC! I do hope so.

    Now if you are hesitant about getting this game, whether it's because of doubts or the political situation this game is being dragged into, all I have to say is that you should give it a chance. The game has been a wonderful experience for me so far and i have found that this game feels comfortably inclusive, It doesn't feel forced or uncomfortable, and I hope that whoever plays it gets to enjoy it as much as I do.    … Expand

    Fantastic feeling and visual efects.i played hours and still want some more of that world. I feel like on drugs. And after I tried I need more... Another mystery another puzzle. Not the hard one but still making my brain work some more than usual.

You can really get lost in this game, from exploring the halls of Hogwarts to exploring the streets of Hogsmeade Village.     Hogwarts Legacy clearly deserve the Game of the Year for 2023. And it's worth it to pick up if you are a fan of Harry Potter, even if you are not a fan, it's still worth to play it for how big and expansive the game is.    … Expand

    I’ve been playing video games since the early 80s and it’s rare that a game impresses me this much right off the bat. HL has done that and more: top-notch story, next-gen graphics, pro dialogue, music worthy of a John Williams nod, great controls, leveling up, gameplay options,… the game is basically perfect. I highly recommended if you’re into adventure of the wizard of kind!

    Legit the single best open world game I have ever played to date. Sure, there are fetch quests galore, as you may expect if you have ever played an RPG open world game before. However, the lore building, diverse events and amazing scenery is so well done and realised that the fetch quests are enjoyable to do, even at their must mundane.     This is the quintessential Harry Potter game. It's the Jedi Fallen Order or Insomniac Spider-man of Harry potter games. It plays pristine, is incredibly detailed and expansive, and combat is sooo fun. And this is before it even launched. Props to the *DEVS* not (she who shall not be named)

    The game does an amazing job translating the world to gameplay and exploration. We have to keep in mind the challenges that they had to make wand combat, flying, brewing potions, gardening and caring for magical creatures dynamic and fun! It is not a perfect game, but it IS the game that fans were hoping and waiting for!

    It's been a decade since we've had a full Potterverse game, but the wait has been well worth it. Hogwarts Legacy gets just about everything right, with its involving storyline and myriad of main and side quests. Perhaps its finest feature though is Hogwarts itself, providing as much joy in just exploring the halls as performing set tasks. We doubt a single Harry Potter fan will be disappointed. We certainly weren't.
