    Best Hogwarts Game of the decade since Quidditch Worldcup by EA/Warner Bros. interactive on PS2. Which makes the lack of chess and Quidditch Is missing in this otherwise Stellar outting. This is a master class in Hogwarts games other wise. While I personally would have loved a sim aspect of going to class I Don't mind a "Trails Of Cold Steel" approach to schoolwork. This is not The BestBest Hogwarts Game of the decade since Quidditch Worldcup by EA/Warner Bros. interactive on PS2. Which makes the lack of chess and Quidditch Is missing in this otherwise Stellar outting. This is a master class in Hogwarts games other wise. While I personally would have loved a sim aspect of going to class I Don't mind a "Trails Of Cold Steel" approach to schoolwork. This is not The Best action RPG ever made, but a great open-world RPG with a lot of lore and a few characters thrown in for good measure., is what You'll find yourself in. when You Start playing. it helps but are not required that you know the extended universe to enjoy, but can set you on a path to another world that'll be yours forever. ;-) Graphically is it a beaut. not technically something to write home about but aesthetically pleasing to look at. fair frame-rate and a Game that keeps you on your toes at all time with technicalities That ask you to cast spells in the right order and in combination to for powerful attacks with attacks of powerful mystical attacks. It's a RPG with Just the right amount of technique and action to achieve a beautiful game that is as vast as your curriculum.… Expand

    Absolutely incredible game. I have spent hours just walking around completely immersed. From the shops of Hogsmeade to the extremely fleshed out Hogwarts, this IS the game every Potter fan has hoped and dreamed for. Well done!!

    Phenomenal game. Had some performance chinks, and could use some updates to polish it, but overall good game. Gotta give it a 10 to compensate for the bombers. ❤️

    I'd give 9.5 just because of lack of optimization in some areas, but rounding up to 10.

    I lost interest in games to the point that I didn't play almost anything for quite a while now. But this game managed to spark my interest. I can't stop playing it, I feel the joy of playing games again. I believe it's a must-play not only for fans but for gamers all around. I even registered this    I'd give 9.5 just because of lack of optimization in some areas, but rounding up to 10.

    This game is Magical! (pun intended) Every aspect of the game has exceeded my expectations. From the production, the combat and the story. Every detail is top notch, and is the Harry Potter game every fan has been dreaming of.

    Phenomenal, it is both new and old at the same time. For example, there is a moment where you get a sense of a possible connection to the Department of Mysteries while searching the forbidden section of the library with Sebastian Sallow and being separated from him. Dueling is awesome and the land is plentiful with plenty of monsters and creatures as well as hidden gems. Every detail wasPhenomenal, it is both new and old at the same time. For example, there is a moment where you get a sense of a possible connection to the Department of Mysteries while searching the forbidden section of the library with Sebastian Sallow and being separated from him. Dueling is awesome and the land is plentiful with plenty of monsters and creatures as well as hidden gems. Every detail was taken into account for and the castle is truly special. Potions class with Professor Sharp is my favorite thus far and I can not wait to do more, herbology is really neat as well. There is so much to do and the land is fully exploitable. The story, plot, and characters feel special and alive.     The open World Potter game you have been waiting for. I got the deluxe version of the game and have played a good deal now. The world is so detailed and magical. All the moving paintings and staircases you expect. Combat is fun too! Hard mode has enough of a challenge to keep this Elden Ring fan happy.

    Ein fantastisches Open World Spiel dass Unmengen an Überraschungen bereit hält. Für mich ein schon lange sehnsüchtig erwartetes Spiel und mit sehr großer Wahrscheinlichkeit mein Spiel des Jahres 2023. Die Story ist ohne zu Spoilern einfach nur der Wahnsinn. Kann es nur jedem wärmstens empfehlen.

    Only problem I see with this game is there are way too many cut scenes, other than that it’s great and could have been a little longer, I have a problem with anyone who gives a game a 10, no game is a perfect 10.

    Never expected a game in that level, the details in every littel thing, the divercity of the side quests. It will be very sad they not gonna make another game.

    A fun and beautiful game , not groundshattering but a competent first outing on this scale from a small developper fighting outside their weightclass on this one but standing their ground. these guys have promise.

    no gamebreaking bugs , no exploitive MT's .

    SJW will try and break this one down any way they can , but its a very competent game.

    One of the best games I've played in a long time. As a Harry Potter fan I think I'm actually enjoying it more than GOW Ragnarok. It looks amazing and does such an amazing job of bringing the world to life and letting you experience it in a new and exciting way. I'm 25 hours in and just unlocked beast taming. I get to design my own magical beast rescue and room of requirement for growingOne of the best games I've played in a long time. As a Harry Potter fan I think I'm actually enjoying it more than GOW Ragnarok. It looks amazing and does such an amazing job of bringing the world to life and letting you experience it in a new and exciting way. I'm 25 hours in and just unlocked beast taming. I get to design my own magical beast rescue and room of requirement for growing plants and brewing potions. The game is part puzzle, part combat, part collector, part house builder, part animal breeder. The broom flight feels great and the world itself feels so well crafted. You can go inside every door and unlike most open world games the interiors do not feel cookie cutter. Everything is highly detailed. The combat is also a lot of fun. I had my doubts about a magic only combat system but it works so well and the magic combos end up being a lot of fun especially in some of the harder encounters. Puts Forspoken's magic based combat to shame.

    Don't listen to any reviews giving this game a 1/10 or super low rating because they're hit pieces reviewing JK Rowling as a person because they refuse to actually play the game or accept that it's good because Rowling offended them.    … Expand

    Hogwarts Legacy is a steller game. The developers have truly captured the vibe feel and essence of Hogawarts and the surrounding areas from the Books/Movies. The gameplay is fun, inventive and has kept me interested through the 20 plus hours I've played thus far. There is no controversy here, the game is great and you should Def play.

Like all games I play I take my time, I do as many side quests as I can and occasionally dip into the story to break things up. You can go all eye candy with Fidelity & Ray tracing all the way to HFR performance in which I get 117fps. All in all this game is very well designed, very well crafted and polished like an expensive, shiny brand new sports car.… Expand

    Amazing game, faithful to the source material, huge world, good graphics, fun combat
    Broomstick flight is terrible though. Left stick for left/right and right stick for up/down.
    Makes 0 sense. No logic behind it. Feels awful.
    And you can't look down while flying.
    They really need to fix broom flight

    This game is simply stunning. As someone who is not really big into the universe but has watched the movies, I can appreciate all the work that has gone into this game. The castle and other locations look pretty much spot on from the movies. Everything that is going on as you traverse the areas feels so alive and looks so beautiful.

    İlk kötü kısımlarını söyleyeyim. Yeni alanlara geçerken kapılarda bekleme oluyor veya ışınlanırken 5-10 sn bekleme süresi oluyor. Büyük ihtimal düzeltilebilir bir sorun. Hikaye biraz yavan ana hikaye de, yan hikayeler de ama oyunun atmosferi o kadar güzel ki ben hiç sıkılmadım. Ek olarak büyü kullanmak çok eğlenceli.

First of all, the game runs absolutely flawlessly on PS5 (very little pop-in when flying at full speedThis game is a masterpiece. Coming from a studio that had it's very first hands on a AAA Open World RPG, bearing the heavy torch of a multi-billion dollar franchise, and the expectations of billions of fans across the globe, Avalanche deserves every praise that it is getting right now! First of all, the game runs absolutely flawlessly on PS5 (very little pop-in when flying at full speed with the broomstick, which I'm sure they'll iron out with a day 1 patch), the dualsense implementation and 3D audio is very well done, and the game looks insanely amazing, even on performance mode 60fps!     This is the game every single Harry Potter fan deserved, we can finally immerse ourselves in a game and re-live the world of magic like we have dreamed about for years.

    I also want to add that J. K. Rowling is a great person and her opinion is perfectly healthy and I totally support her.

    This game is absolutely amazing, even if you aren't a big Harry Potter fan. The story is really intriguing and feels unique. Everything you can do in this game has a purpose, like growing plants so you can make different potions and doing assignments to learn new spells.

    Even if you are not familiar with the Wizarding World franchises such as Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts you should give this game a try. Avalanche did an amazing job giving the game an atmosphere dedicated to all the books and movies. The whole world does feel alive and filled with magic. There are a lot of puzzles and every corner of the castle has something to find. The combat is notEven if you are not familiar with the Wizarding World franchises such as Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts you should give this game a try. Avalanche did an amazing job giving the game an atmosphere dedicated to all the books and movies. The whole world does feel alive and filled with magic. There are a lot of puzzles and every corner of the castle has something to find. The combat is not filled with gore but has some brutal moves in it. Some of the animations like flying on a broom could have been made less stiff but this does not impact the overall gameplay. Story is general, nothing really special, but keeps you playing and there are enough side quests to do to explore the world around Hogwarts castle to give your character more spells which help you in combat and solving puzzles. I think Avalanche has enough options to fill the game even more with DLC stories and other stuff to let you come back to the game the coming years.

    This game was absolutely worth the wait. Very good gameplay, interesting story, graphics, details. I highly recommend this game to everyone, even the ones who are not really Harry Potter fans, as myself. It's very fun, you just don't want to quit playing it.

    The plot holes and the writing being worse than a mid tier JRPG is enough to warrant a low score. The game really does not have much to offer outside of the main game as most of the side content are just fetch quests. So the main game and the story not being a rehash and mix of plot points form the books would have been at least worthy of some respect. The macguffin is the end point of the game and it's ancient.

    Combat is where I really laughed a lot at the game. Forspoken got a lot of deserved criticism but its spells looked better and even the combat felt slightly better than this point and shoot. Though what really made me laugh at the combat were idiotic mechanics where the spell has to be the same color as that of the shield to break the shield. The mechanics and the purpose of the spell be damned, the color is what determines duel outcomes. Every complex and compelling magic system I can think of, like Oblivion or Magicka has been respectful of their audience to give them more. The fact that games not based on magic have more variety and quality in their spells catalogue than Hogwarts Legacy is both insulting and amusing.

    The open world is not really open if one examines it closely. The aesthetics are decently done but that would be a very insignificant plus point as opposed to gameplay in that world feeling hollow. Once you scour the countryside a bit more, you realise that the so called open world is anoter exercise in Ubisoft open world shenanigans. The difference is that a modern Ubisoft Assassin's Creed has still more to offer than Hogwarts Legacy. Granted that's because of Ubisoft flinging more quantity and getting a few lucky shots, but in this race to the bottom, I can only draw these forms of comparisons.

    The only bits funnier than the combat system are the reviewers insisting that there is build variety in the game. I expect this game might get microstransactions in the future and some more minigames because well the fans of hte franchise are very easy to exploit and gaming fans even more so, as EA and Activision have continually demonstrated over the last decade or so.

One of the better intros to a game I've seen in recent memory and easily the best game to date at leveraging the new PS5 controllers.     This game is actually really good. It has been so long since I have felt so immersed in a world. The game does a great job at making you feel like a student in a magical world. I give it a 9, because there are some sporadic performance issues, and because the story isnt as good as it could have been.

    Pure perfection! Gorgeous to look at and with an endless stream of things to do and places to explore. My only tiny complaint is the lighting issues that can be noticeable when walking into a new room / area. But while that can be a bit bothersome, the sheer perfection of the world design and combat make this game a truly exceptional one and very much deserving of a 10.

I'm sitting at 45 hours in the game and have so much left to do it is dizzying. From flying my broom across the Scottish Highlands to chasing ghosts through the corridors of Hogwarts this game is beautiful.     ➡️Bom, tivemos boas impressões do game. Uma experiência incrível que ao mesmo tempo conseguiu entregar um elemento nostálgico porque o game traz muitos esteregg, todos baseados nos filmes. Vamos agora ao que interessa: Gameplay.

    ✅GAMEPLAY/JOGABILIDADE

    ➡️ Tivemos uma impressão bastante positiva da gameplay porque ela está bem fluída e proporciona uma imersão real ao mundo de Harry Potter. Neste mundo, podemos ter a experiência de sermos bruxos e estudar em Hogwarts nos meados de 1800. No jogo podemos criar o nosso personagem e vivenciar várias aventuras dentro do universo da mágia. Embora o jogo não seja uma adaptação direta dos livros da J.K. Rowling, ele retrata muitos fatos que aconteceram nos filmes e nos livros e isso torna a experiência muito mais legal e divertida.

    ✅GRAFICO/DESEMPENHO

    ➡️ As versões de PS5 e Xbox Series X possuem cinco modos de configurações gráficas, incluindo modo com ray tracing e com modo qualidade oferecendo 1800p e 30 FPS sem ray tracing. Enquanto o Xbox Series S oferece três modos gráficos, mas nenhum com ray tracing. No modo ray tracing, nota-se a aplicação do recurso em sombras e reflexos.
    ➡️ E o que falar do gráfico? Um dos mais bem feitos até o momento. Logo de cara, podemos destacar facilmente o reflexo, a sombra, tudo com muito capricho e carinho. A gente nota que eles trabalharam duro para trazer a melhor qualidade gráfica, com riqueza de detalhes, tanto dentro do castelo quanto fora, cada cantinho, o detalhe dos quadros, dos objetos, etc. As expressões faciais estão também muito boas, muito mesmo.

    ✅JOGABILIDADE/COMBATE

    ➡️Joguei por mais ou menos 10 horas. A jogabilidade está incrível! Tive um pouco de dificuldade na movimentação da câmera do jogo, mas o restante está muito bom. Na parte do combate, você pode ter um pouco de dificuldade no começo até pegar bem os movimentos, mas quando pegar é muito top os combates e também é muito divertido. Aqui tenho um adendo, em alguns momentos da minha jogatina, o jogo teve alguns bugs, mas nada que atrapalhe a gameplay.

    ✅EXPLORAÇÃO/COLECIONÁVEIS/MINI GAMES

    ➡️Bom, sou suspeita em falar de exploração e colecionáveis porque é uma coisa que simplesmente amo fazer nos jogos e no aqui tenho certeza que vou ter varias e varias horas só de exploração. A forma de colecionar os itens também é muito interessante, um exemplo são colecionar as páginas de livro que ficam voando e você precisa usar um feitiço específico para poder coletar essas páginas. Os mini games são muito legais porque não são mini games comuns, todos remetem aos “jogos de bruxos”, além de serem muito divertidos.

    ✅TRILHA SONORA/LOCALIZADA PT-BR 100%

    ➡️A trilha sonora é um show a parte. Para quem assistiu os filmes do Harry Potter, vai saber reconhecer várias músicas do filme. Outra coisa que está muito boa mesmo no jogo é a dublagem brasileira. Se você prestar a atenção nos movimentos da boca dos personagens, a impressão que temos é que o personagem é brasileiro, porque é quase perfeita a movimentação da boca.

    ✅CONCLUSÃO

    I fear that I have lost my PS5 for the next month or so as my wife is literally addicted to Hogwarts. You can tell that that Avalanche spared no expense in developing this game and did an extremely good job!!! Pick this game up! You’ll have a blast!

    This is the game I wanted all the time since my childhood. A game where I can discover Hogwarts and the world around it on my own. That is what Hogwarts Legacy does quite well. The story is okay so far, 15h into it, it had some interesting storylines and it creates some truely magical moments, especially right at the beginning. But overall the story seems to be nothing too special.

The story is okay so far, 15h into it, it had some interesting storylines and it creates some truely magical moments, especially right at the beginning. But overall the story seems to be nothing too special.
    There are some things I wish the game would have handeled on another way. The atmosphere is sometimes off. In the nights noone is in the corridors, which makes sense, everyone should sleep, but when you go to your house room noone is in the beds, where are all the students? Sometimes there are house elves working and vanishing, when they see you, which just shows how much effort they put into details, but then, things that should have been discovered as obvious flaws still exists. I wish most of them would sleep, some reading or anything, but at least existing in the nights. It would have been also a nice feature if the Professors or the landlord would watch for students in the corridors at night and give them a penalty or something to make the player more likely to sleep or wait as well. But you can't sleep eather. Non hittable NPCs are not reacting at all if you shoot spells at them, at least one phrase like "What are you doing?" would have been great to stay in the illusion of beeing a real Hogwarts student. Some are some small flaws that destroys the atmosphere a bit.

    The combat system is just great, first I was sceptical about shooting spells around me. I thought it looked lame and not hard enough in the trailers. But it actually makes a lot of fun. It isn't really hard but not too easy, but I think the difficulty is just great balanced. Overall there are some flaws and also the game has some critical performance issues at the moment, but it still is a great game for all Harry Potter fans and a quite good open-worls roleplay game.

    I hope they will add Quittich DLC in the future or even maks a sequel game which allows the developers to learn from their mistakes and make a game even better. Not a must-play title, but still quite a solid experience. Especially recommended for all Harry Potter Fans, but also non Fans could enjoy the experience.    … Expand

    If you are a Harry Potter fan, this is a no brainer. Game looks great, at times it can look a little glitchy but a few patches should clean it up. A lot of attention to details. It’s not to be able to explore hogwarts. FINALLY!

    It's been a decade since we've had a full Potterverse game, but the wait has been well worth it. Hogwarts Legacy gets just about everything right, with its involving storyline and myriad of main and side quests. Perhaps its finest feature though is Hogwarts itself, providing as much joy in just exploring the halls as performing set tasks. We doubt a single Harry Potter fan will be disappointed. We certainly weren't.
