    Excellent game with a lot of fan service! Must have for all Harry Potter universe fans. You literally get yourself inside this universe and have a chance to experience your own magical adventure!

    Hogwarts Legacy is a outstanding game it's a Harry Potter game that has everything that the fans wanted and finally we have a structure to build on to it. It's massive and rich lore from the wizarding world. Story makes sense to the lore to which I was worried but no it was done with care. The game is massive and when I say massive it's large open world to explore deep pass the HogwartsHogwarts Legacy is a outstanding game it's a Harry Potter game that has everything that the fans wanted and finally we have a structure to build on to it. It's massive and rich lore from the wizarding world. Story makes sense to the lore to which I was worried but no it was done with care. The game is massive and when I say massive it's large open world to explore deep pass the Hogwarts grounds. Story is basic nothing too hard to understand however wish it had more oomph. But it's a good story and setups for a sequel in my point of view. Hogwarts Legacy gives lot's of stuff to do like collecting pages, demiguises, keys etc. And they do reward you with unique costumes and brooms. The game is very customizable with wand handles and outfits. Also you can sell your clothes but won't lose in transmog. You can collect Fantastic Beasts and breed them and also they give you materials to upgrade your outfits and perks. Spells can be mixed with charms and defensive spells or offensive. Yes, you can use the unforgettable curses. Side missions are a hit and miss though however they don't take too long to complete, side stories are among the best here as I called them loyalty missions. There are mini games like arenas, broom time races, dueling and others. Not as much but they do have their rounds. You can brew potions and use the most OP cabbages to attack your enemies and they are extremely OP. I have no negative things about Hogwarts Legacy, it's a magical experience to walk the halls of Hogwarts as I have imagined when I was kid and once you hear that theme from Harry Potter it will make tear up and excited. It's lengthy and my 80 hours of 100% everything my score is a 10. And those Merlin trials are ridiculous alot but hey I still had fun with them and also that extra quest was the best side quest in the game. My score is a perfect 10.… Expand

    Love this game. Big potter fan. Love open world action RPG's so this is a perfect game for me. Playing on xbox series X and the game looks great and plays very well. Highly recommended!

Even if you’ve never read the books or watched the movies and know nothing about the fascinating world of HP do yourself a favor and check it out. This is a very beautiful and addictive RPG. The combat, characters, storyline, exploration, everything about it is top-notch. I was very worried it would turn out to be mediocre andThis is the game every Harry Potter fan has been waiting for!     Best Hogwarts Game of the decade since Quidditch Worldcup by EA/Warner Bros. interactive on PS2. Which makes the lack of chess and Quidditch Is missing in this otherwise Stellar outting. This is a master class in Hogwarts games other wise. While I personally would have loved a sim aspect of going to class I Don't mind a "Trails Of Cold Steel" approach to schoolwork.     I wanted to wait until I'd got pretty much all the game done, but man this game is huge! What can i say, Hogwarts Legacy is phenomenal! yes, there are a couple of minor technical issues (lighting problems in performance mode and a very lacking VRR mode) i'm sure these issues will be fixed in short time, and yes there are a couple of open world tropes but even those are just fun to do. TheI wanted to wait until I'd got pretty much all the game done, but man this game is huge! The gameplay is so varied and satisfying that no task ever gets boring. The combat is perfectly balanced and incredibly well designed, the broom and mount traversal is fantastic, the scenery and world design is stunning, the characters are great and all voice acted very well and all the side quests are really fun, Not to mention the main story, which is very engrossing and well written. Then you have the room of requirement that is almost a game in itself. I actually found myself laughing out loud and saying '"no way!" everytime something new occured in the room. I could go on gushing about all the little details and secrets (and there are hundreds!) but I'd have to write a book! Basically Hogwarts Legacy has succeeded in spectacular fashion, where most other open world games fail. The Horizon games are fun, but the writing and characters are dull and forgettable AC Valhalla had a great story and characters, but much of the gameplay was very repetitive etc etc. Hogwarts Legacy is up there with the best in the genre: Red Dead 2, GTA 5, Ghost Of Tsushima. For fans of truly great games this is a MUST play. For fans of great games who are also big Harry Potter fans...well, you'll struggle to put the controller down!… Expand

    But you might meet a few distant relatives! This game is set in the late 1800's! Iam only 5 hours in, ive not even got my broom yet-which i cannot wait for!!     Sound wise it excels!
    A gorgeous meandering sound track of background music, weaving its way around your ears, as you explore.
    Authentic spell sounds, spark, flare and flash as you cast your wand.
    Like i said its not a Harry Potter game, but its definitely an authentic Hogwarts game!
    Spells are easy to use so far, quite straightforward to do combos as well.
    Again iam only 5 hours in, but i can tell its gonna be a really good experience!
    Its a very deep game, full of lore. The castle is lovingly created, a maze of rooms and corridors. But u wont get lost, theres a magical path guide you can follow, or use floo chutes to get around instantly!
    Hogsmead is also created with passion, all the shops, the pubs, it feels like a living breathing town!
    Ive not had any bugs as of yet, its been pretty flawless!
    Its a game that takes its time though and cannot be rushed.
    Theres plenty of action though.
    I can highly recommend to all ages and all sexes.
    Character creation is fairly expansive as well.
    There are plenty of clothing items to pick up, wand parts as well.
    Theres a transmog system, so u can have the benefits of an item of clothing, but can make it look more appealing, by making it invisible, or make it look like another item of clothing!
    If your a Harry Potter fan, this games for you.
    If your not a Harry Potter fan, this game is still for you!
    For me so far its 10/10.

I literally lost myself exploring the castle, didn't know where I was, from where I came, but was a feeling of lost that I didn't experienced with a game for like 5 years.     In the last year I have played and beaten Elden Ring, GoW Ragnarok, and Horizon FW - this game is as good as they are on every level - even more so if you’re a fan of the Harry Potter Universe. Incredible visuals and details, solid story (so far), and a really fun combat system. My only gripe is that I can’t sit in the chairs just to relax and take it all in!     This is not only the best Harry Pottee game ever, it’s literally Game of the Year material. Outstanding graphics, amazing characters and voice performances, great story, a magnificent open-world and more surprisingly, the combat system is a highlight! Everything about this game is perfect! The replay value is INSANE! Watch out for record breaking sales. It is THAT good!

    This game is pure magic. I've not had this sense of wonder and fun in a single-player game since Zelda Breath of the Wild. The game is more detailed, awe-inspiring and beautiful than the movies. And I can't wait for the developers to flesh the game more since they've already laid the foundation so well,

    The game is not for people looking for school sims though.

    The hype is real! The game is absolutely fun and I seriously can’t put the game down. I might get fired from my job because I’ve called off multiple days in a row just to finish playing the game. Btw.     Lots of complaints about the transphobia thing but you know it’s their loss honestly, they want to complain about a real good game let them, the ones who play the game will understand how great and fun it is. To my honest impression, was a bit scared that Hogwart’s Legacy hype would ruin the experience for me and it’s very rare that a game meets those expectations. Don’t think, if you’re hesitant on getting the game, BUY IT! It is worth every single penny.    … Expand

    I am a 33 year old father of a young 1 year old and playing this game made me relive my childhoods dreams. If you grew up around The Harry Potter books/movies or not this is top tier best in class games of the past decade. Worth every dollar and I paid for deluxe edition!

    This is the best and most content-rich Game i've played in ~20 years of gaming. It has it's performance issues here and there, but pretty sure this will become better.

    I enjoy exploring every single corner in the world. It has so much to offer, i can't stop playing it.     I bought the deluxe edition and thought i will refund as with the last 70$ games i bought and turned out to be garbage. Thats actually the first game where i feel like the 70$ were actually more than worth it.

    This has to get 10/10, otherwise idk what people think how a perfect game should look like.

    Also, when you consider buying the game, don't forget that there are many negative reviews from the toxic corner of the lgbtq+ community. Ignore them & don't think all of them are like them, thats just the regular toxic people which exist in every bubble.

    You gotta have to play that, no lie. If not, you missed the best game you can get, specially compared to the last 5 years.

Combat is exactly how it should be for a wizarding world game and is implemented great. World exploration is also A+ the mapGame is fantastic, especially if your a fan of harry potter. Whether you want to customize your own space, play a psudo pokemon collector, partake in races, classes, or challenges from class mates, to flying around on your broom or mount, solving puzzles for hidden treasure, or honing your combat skills clearing bandit/enemy camps. The enchanting world of Harry Potter was always one filled with mystery and excitement, with every page I turned pulling me in and encouraging me to read more to immerse myself completely. This game had the exact effect, no matter how much I played I always wanted to play more. The Wizarding World met Breath of the Wild inHogwarts Legacy was a childhood dream come true in so many ways. The enchanting world of Harry Potter was always one filled with mystery and excitement, with every page I turned pulling me in and encouraging me to read more to immerse myself completely. This game had the exact effect, no matter how much I played I always wanted to play more. The Wizarding World met Breath of the Wild in this masterpiece with a large world filled with hidden secrets, discoveries, and a journey that felt entirely my own. I felt as though I was my own Harry Potter going through my unique journey at Hogwarts, attending classes and making my own group of friends, and making decisions that effected the experience along the way. This was apart of that childhood dream coming true, that feeling of placing myself in the Wizarding World and being a student of my house of choice. Throw in a big mystery to solve, some interesting side characters with fun quest lines, and an amazing incorporation of the fantastic beasts both feral and friendly, and you have a dream come true for all who love the magic of this world.

    Exploring the open world filled with hidden puzzles is also a joy, but not nearly as much as finding the beasts along the way. You can find all sorts of magical creatures hidden about and capture them like Pokémon, down to even finding shiny variants which to me was a favorite element of this game. Every boss or big encounter brought something new and exciting, and the soundtrack only grew better as the game went on. Learning spells, brewing potions, harvesting magical plants, and so much more made this game just as much fun to play as the journey itself. This of course included the wonderful cast of other students, fun and interesting professors, and all sorts of unique side quests hidden throughout the world.

    It’s hard to put into only a couple of paragraphs all of the things that make Hogwarts Legacy a once in a lifetime experience, but if I were to put it as simply as possible, it really is something special. A fantasy of fans around the world made reality, and a new type of game unlike any I’ve ever played. A few technical hiccups here and there, and occasionally a main narrative that was a bit too straightforward, but never anything that detracted from a phenomenal experience. This is a must play adventure for all Harry Potter fans, gamers or otherwise, and deserving of being the first in a trilogy yet to come.    … Expand

    What can i say? I was level 14 long before i progressed in the story and why is that? THERE IS STUFF TO DO EVERYWHERE! I was exploring, looting, unlocking, finding hidden rooms, i was just lost in this huge world. And when you step outside Hogwarts and you find out that the huge castle is only the begining, your in for a ride. This has everything i ever wanted from a Harry Potter game,What can i say? I was level 14 long before i progressed in the story and why is that? THERE IS STUFF TO DO EVERYWHERE! I was exploring, looting, unlocking, finding hidden rooms, i was just lost in this huge world.     Hogwarts Legacy is an amazing game. Graphics, gameplay, and the story are all solid. Regardless if you’re a Harry Potter fan or not this game should scratch the itch of an open world adventure by most who play it. My girlfriend and I have already put more hours into this game than I’d like to admit. Do yourself a favor and play it.

The exploration frankly rocks, very large areas and the flying is a great way to get around, very fun. and the castle itself is very large and a joy to explore, its fantastic vibes.     Another thing which I believe is not touched on enough in this game is your “field guide” challenge tracker basically and heart of your menus. It’s actually amazing and works perfect with all details being considered and is 1000% the best challenge tracker/field guide in any game ever.

    The Game Looks and feels Amazing. The physics, graphics, gameplay and especially very very Smooth Movement. I am 18 hours into the game and I am totally loving it. When I use to watch YouTube videos. I wasn't satisfied with the magic wand shots at the enemy. But it really is satisfying.

    Ridiculously fun game which is an absolute masterpiece. The gameplay is very well designed, balanced and feels very satisfying. The world is crafted with so much detail and lore. It is filled to the brim with charm and delight around every corner.
    Definitely a must have for Harry Potter fans and for non Harry Potter fans! Will probably go down as one of my favorite games of all time!

It looks amazing and does such an amazing job of bringing the world to life and letting you experience it in a new and exciting way. I'm 25 hours in and just unlocked beast taming. I get to design my own magical beast rescue and room of requirement for growingOne of the best games I've played in a long time. As a Harry Potter fan I think I'm actually enjoying it more than GOW Ragnarok. The game is part puzzle, part combat, part collector, part house builder, part animal breeder. The broom flight feels great and the world itself feels so well crafted. You can go inside every door and unlike most open world games the interiors do not feel cookie cutter. Everything is highly detailed. The combat is also a lot of fun. I had my doubts about a magic only combat system but it works so well and the magic combos end up being a lot of fun especially in some of the harder encounters. Puts Forspoken's magic based combat to shame.

    Don't listen to any reviews giving this game a 1/10 or super low rating because they're hit pieces reviewing JK Rowling as a person because they refuse to actually play the game or accept that it's good because Rowling offended them.    … Expand

    This game is good. There may be a certain subgroup that doesn’t want you to enjoy it because of the reasonable and valid opinions of a real woman. Clearly they have overplayed their hand and overestimated their influence. I bought a copy for myself and bought 5 other copies and gifted them to friends. JK Rowling was right.

    This is the game every single Harry Potter fan deserved, we can finally immerse ourselves in a game and re-live the world of magic like we have dreamed about for years.

    I know basically nothing about Harry Potter but this game is a blast. I bought it because I was hearing about some controversy around it so, like everyone knows, where there's controversy, there's a great game!! This one did not disappoint!! Only con was that it's a little pricey and the Xbox One version isn't available at launch.

    It's been a decade since we've had a full Potterverse game, but the wait has been well worth it. Hogwarts Legacy gets just about everything right, with its involving storyline and myriad of main and side quests. Perhaps its finest feature though is Hogwarts itself, providing as much joy in just exploring the halls as performing set tasks. We doubt a single Harry Potter fan will be disappointed. We certainly weren't.
