    This is poor Gran Turismo! You cost us ingame currency and time! Your price policy is aweful! The game worked perfect on the first day for me… now after the update can’t drive the competitions and now couldn’t even complete the the stuff..     Currently unplayable as the servers have been down now for 2 days. For a AAA game that sells consoles for Sony its not great, but my biggest issue is the predatory behaviour in pushing MTX towards people. Credits for purchasing cars have been nerfed despite already being the lowest in any GT entry. No one has the time to grind out for 20 million in game credits to buy the dream car theyCurrently unplayable as the servers have been down now for 2 days. For a AAA game that sells consoles for Sony its not great, but my biggest issue is the predatory behaviour in pushing MTX towards people. Credits for purchasing cars have been nerfed despite already being the lowest in any GT entry. No one has the time to grind out for 20 million in game credits to buy the dream car they can't actually afford in real life so the solution for Polyphonic/Sony is the offer of 2 million credits for £16 via MTX? People didn't buy/pre order a full price AAA game to be forced to play the game like a second job just to be able to drive the cars they can't afford in real life. I understand grinding sometimes but at the current economy set up engaging players on FOMO with limited digital stock of cars on a timer and potentially being short on in game credits, they are pushing for people to shell out for additional cash. For a game that already cost £70? The bait and switch pulled on MTX has left a bitter taste in many fans mouths as MTX were only implemented on launch day, after all the reviews had already come out. Furthermore there is a half-baked single player campaign that is extremely short and ends very abruptly. The campaign rewards you with cars for chasing down a linear rail of cars driven by a brain dead AI. However the cars that are rewarded can't be sold for in game credits like previous titles so you are stuck with a cluttered garage. Further evidence of predatory practices pushing players towards MTX can be seen in the trophy list as there is a trophy for purchasing the same car 10 times. The roulette system to win big ticket items is heavy skewed towards the lowest winnings and its completely random if you win a 1* to 6* ticket from the daily workout. There are very few new additions to cars in the roster at present and very few races for single player enjoyment. For a single player designed GT game it is currently abysmal, the online focused GT Sport from PS4 has more single player content and is better polished. Seriously disappointed in this numbered entry and surprised that the 'Games as a Service' model has been allowed to operate in such a barebones, blatant cash grab fashion.… Expand

    Terrible payouts, impossible to play without micro transactions, servers down for more than 24 hours only a week after release. Cannot play single player without internet connection, or when servers are down. Bugs preventing game progression etc etc

    Avoid if you haven’t bought already

    Don't buy this game. Especially after the statement from Kaz (Polyphony boss) which basically defended their decisions to monetise the game as much as possible. Didn't even get any sort of in-game credit compensation or anything after the entire game was broken for over a day!

    I can't imagine a buyout game that still can't log in after 24 hours of maintenance. In addition, your first consideration is not to improve the user experience, optimize online play, Instead, first consider how to force players to recharge into the game. I am really, very disappointed.

    I played it for 2 hours, then it went dark. Cannot get a refund from Sony either.

    I will sell my ps5 and rely on my far superior pc and xbsx.

    Blatant Cashgrab only shown after the review-phase. Now you know why it's always online, to sell you ingame currency for real cash while "adjusting" the playable ingame rewards , disgrace and should be grounds for refund.

    El juego se puede jugar exclusivamente con conexión a internet, los Server llevan más de 24 horas caído y no se puede jugar. Además es un PaytoWin es decir de simulación/ competicion tiene poco. Han nerfeado las recompensas. Es decir va directo al fracaso. Gráficos y físicas mediocres en comparación con otros títulos... Un desastre!!!!!!!

    I was 13 when the the 1st game came out in 1997 on PS1 and I salute everyone who worked on these titles for making milestones in racing game and motorsport history. The Impact you left is very special to millions of people over several generations. That alone is pure art.

    BUT this is to much now. I quite! The buyer does not OWN the game anymore!!! This "buy everything as a service" and    I was 13 when the the 1st game came out in 1997 on PS1 and I salute everyone who worked on these titles for making milestones in racing game and motorsport history.     1. I pay a full game price for offline singleplayer experience and still get forced to be online 24/7 for 90%+ of the game contents. I know tracking and data collecting means $$$ but come on! Thats shady and criminal!

    2. Earning money to buy the cars is made artificially harder due to up to -50% lower in-game price money. In-game purchases is what we are bullied into. Micro transactions my ass! This is god damn gran turismo not some scum ebay offering.

    3. We cant sell/trade/share cars as it used to be to get money or just as a present for friends and family. How more unsocial can it get?

    All these marketing tricks and false shady communication to reduce "cheating". Boy does your PR spin doctor maybe suffer from alzheimer? Me and millions of other players and fans of the series are done with this until this is changed.

    P.S.: Oh and how dare you to not put back Monaco / Côte d'Azur track after almost 10 years since it was gone?    … Expand

    Juego que obliga a estar siempre online, aun que sea para jugar un solo jugador, mantenimientos tediosos que ocupan mas de 24h, micro transacciones para poder conseguir coches de alta gama ya que se han reducido las recompensas por ganar carreras, nada recomendable, la muerte de gran turismo.

    Game was changed from a nice relaxing sim racer to a disgusting pay to win tactic. Single player campaign must be always connected to wifi in order to be played even tho the store states that online play is OPTIONAL. Best example of the greed todays developers have. Avoid this game at all costs.

    I can't play since 1,5 days because the developers thought it would be a good idea to make the game only playable online. And because they can't manage to release a patch that works, not a single person in the world can play anymore... It's an 80€ full price title ... welcome to the year 2022

    I was not really caring about the always on requirement, but was slightly irritated. Especially for a "real" Gran Turismo which I will definitely play alone 99% of the time it's totally useless.

    Now the GT7 servers are down for such a long time, I'm totally pissed not being able to do ANY race at all...

    2 Day Downtime in a singleplayer game. Adding microtransactions after release. Decreasing race payment so you can spend 120€ of your real, hard earned money to buy a virual car. Mobile F2P economics in a 80€ game. The worst part is the game has potential to be great but greedy suits ruined it again

    When it does work, so many amazing aspects to the game which are almost completely ruined by the BS. - First and foremost the number 1 ridiculous issue which is the online-only requirement even when playing single player. This has to be the most infuriating “feature” in modern gaming and has caused my *physical* single    At the moment I can only give this a 0 as it’s impossible to play.

    When it does work, so many amazing aspects to the game which are almost completely ruined by the BS.

    - First and foremost the number 1 ridiculous issue which is the online-only requirement even when playing single player. This has to be the most infuriating “feature” in modern gaming and has caused my *physical* single player disc to be unplayable for nearly 2 days and counting now. - No proper “career” mode. I finished the “cafe” missions, which are as close as it gets, in 3 days

    - Aggressively pushes micro transactions everywhere. Haven’t been able to play the latest patch yet but it apparently reduces the paltry race rewards even further so you can spend even more time grinding to buy new cars to play the same races over and over again or spend more money on top of the £60 the game costs in the first place.

    - The “Races” aren’t really that at all, the vast majority are rolling start type events with as much as a 40 second gap between you and the lead vehicle. Standing starts with a relatively evenly matched grid are replaced with dull overtaking challenges for almost *every* event.

    - Disappointing number of bugs and glitches for a game that’s been in development for so long. PS4 version has a lot of frame drops which I can overlook as it’s pretty old hardware now. Forza absolutely has Gran Turismo beat in the car racing category now. I refuse to pay to play or pay to win. Such a shame for what was one of the best franchises. Enabling micro-transactions after critic reviews are up and then making in-game economy terrible - forcing users to spend money to avoid pointless grinds with an outdated AI. Even online races bring almost nothing to the table, great way to get people into Sport mode there (/s).

Online only play even in single player, initial release bugs causing long game lockouts and worst of all… MICRO-TRANSACTIONS in a full price game.     What else can I say besides online only is stupid, it’s impossible to buy any good cars without grinding for hours or paying with real money, and I can’t even play because the servers are down. They owe everyone a refund, this is atrocious. It’s a shame because the actual gameplay is really fun.

    This review is in direct response to update 1.7 cutting all the race payouts to drive players to micro transactions. Before the update I would have recommended the game but now I just feel cheated and as you can read, so do a lot of people. MTX does not belong in a game we paid full price for. You cannot sell cars for credits like you could in every other GT game.
    To the developers:    This review is in direct response to update 1.7 cutting all the race payouts to drive players to micro transactions. Before the update I would have recommended the game but now I just feel cheated and as you can read, so do a lot of people. MTX does not belong in a game we paid full price for. You cannot sell cars for credits like you could in every other GT game.

Want to buy a supercar on this game? You can either grind for weeks or spend $40 of real life money. Once you finish the brief career mode it's nothing more than a really pretty pay to play cell phone game with a next-gen $70-90 price tag. This is how they've decided to thank the community on the 25th anniversary of the series. Beyond disappointing.… Expand

    I have been a long term fan of Gran Turismo, growing up with GT1 and playing every game through the years. The day I received GT7, I completed the licenses with all gold and started the challenges. Completed a few races and what not and within the first few days of playing, found myself earning around 3 million. The icing on the cake is the large "buy more credits here" after each race completion. Polyphony aren't even shy about how they're practically forcing you to spend real money... Keeping in mind it's £15 for 2mil in game credits which is nothing. Don't get me started on the roulette spins... After 70 or so pins, I am yet to get anything bar the last place prize out of 5 possible prizes. Disgustingly rigged. The driving itself is superb, fun, addictive and down right beautiful at times. However the fun is locked behind a gigantic rigged paywall. Also... I spent 1 mil on a car that I was later given and you CANNOT sell cars … Expand

    Public lobbies are now very limited in customization.(wasn't the case in previous iterations) If you are not online, you just have a demo of the game (It shouldn't, the storymode is a big part of the game) Multiple tactics of micro-transactions and fomo for a 60$+ game that is one of the flagship titles for Playstation. Track    Half a step forward and 3 steps back on everything.

    The game is average, the graphics are barely worthy of being called next gen. Also don’t get me started on the MicroTransactions, buying some cars could cost upwards of £99 in actual money. This game is broken, and I mean literally, for the last 24hours since the latest patch it’s been unplayable as the servers are down, this is poor for a game that costs £69.99

    Bought the game over 24 hours ago. Haven't even been able to play because servers have been down the whole time, and they don't even let you play SINGLE PLAYER without a CONNECTION. I feel completely robbed, I wish I had bought a physical copy so I could get my money back. All excitement I had is gone after this joke of a technical issue.

    Outrageous. I bought this game at launch and Sony thanks me by pushing out an update to ruin the in-game economy and force players towards microtransactions. That and this mostly singleplayer experience requiring an internet connection. I am never buying another Sony game at launch again. I refuse to support anti-consumer practices like this.

And don't even get me started on the credit system. Complete joke and garbage for a full price game. Get rid of the microtransactions or make the game free you greedy studios!

    Game play physics are solid however if you want it to play online you will only get 28,000 Credits for coming first place in a 20 player race that takes 25mins.. now there are many cars that cost 10mill-20mill. So if you plan to focus online only it is stupid and pushed micro transactions hard

    £70 for this game. £70. For them to add a roulette wheel boasting lovely prizes and cash only to give you the smallest cash prize every time. Also, invitations to purchase cars that are limited time to encourage you to buy credits from their shop is so manipulative it beggars belief. Shameful business practice.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
