    Stop micro-transactions !! I've paid ¥8650 for this game and Polyphony cut the rewards credit and push players to pay another ¥12000 for "one" car !!!? That's ridiculous. How greedy are you, Polyphony? And you better keep GT7 server run forever because maybe I will play GT7 after several years if my PS5 is still working. This is not a free social game. We players paid full price for GT7.

    As a life-long fan of the Gran Turismo series, it saddens me to witness the desecration of the storied franchise with GT7. While the underlying driving experience is excellent, the absolutely atrocious MTX practices and Kaz's continued delusion that the best way to honour legendary cars is by making them unobtainable in game without hours and hours of repetitive grind or paying for MTX isAs a life-long fan of the Gran Turismo series, it saddens me to witness the desecration of the storied franchise with GT7. While the underlying driving experience is excellent, the absolutely atrocious MTX practices and Kaz's continued delusion that the best way to honour legendary cars is by making them unobtainable in game without hours and hours of repetitive grind or paying for MTX is destroying the game and the series' reputation. For example, the McLaren F1 is available in the Legendary Dealer for only a few days, but costs 18.5m credits. This equates to about 21 hours of grind or paying $185US. Ridiculous. These are the worst MTX tactics I have ever seen. The game is also crippled by a bland, unfinished single player mode, baffling UI design choices and the always-online requirements. Online modes are almost unplayable with current server instability.

    It truly pains me to say as a huge GT series fan, GT7 is not worth playing.    … Expand

    I've been doing sim racing for years. After playing a variety of titles such as sims like iRacing and arcade styler like F1 titles, I realized that I am more of a casual arcade racer even after spending $$$ in sim racing equipment. I have heard so much for the Gran Turismo series, so I decided to buy a PS5, GT7 pre-order, and a new Fanatec DD pro (since my more-than-satisfactory TM TC PCI've been doing sim racing for years. After playing a variety of titles such as sims like iRacing and arcade styler like F1 titles, I realized that I am more of a casual arcade racer even after spending $$$ in sim racing equipment. I have heard so much for the Gran Turismo series, so I decided to buy a PS5, GT7 pre-order, and a new Fanatec DD pro (since my more-than-satisfactory TM TC PC wheel wouldn't work on Playstation 5).

    If you want macro transactions to be included, don't charge $70 for the base price!!!!

    This switch and bait update made this game "Macro" transaction focused. I already spent $97 (after tax) for the founder edition. They cut race rewards, took away the ability to sell cars, and made legendary cars so expensive. Now if I want to earn credits, it will be more of a grind than iRacing unless I want to just fork out money over and over!

    Shame on me for trusting the Gran Turismo name, pre-ordering this game, and spending the money to go towards a more "casual" sim racing experience. Completely back fired!    … Expand

    I've been a fan of these games since I was a kid but I think this about does it for me. It all started off so well until we were hit with ridiculously inflated microtransactions. Not to mention that it's an online only game.... I can't get my $100 back but trust me I wont be spending any time doing weeks and weeks of excessive grinding with little reward.

Some cars are priced 10-20M and would require around 40hours + of the highest paying activity to obtain or you’ll need to shell out $200+ of real money. Eg. Mclaren F1 price last game = $1M

    However, there other annoying issues: Much of the car selection is direct carry over from previous games and it’s missing key supercars cars like: 918 spyder, p1, speedtail, 720s, 765lt, plaid, lfa, senna, 812, gt2rs, 911 turbo s & more. Most sportscars and supercars are dated with few current gen ones so they can reuse assets from previous games shamelessly. Despite omitting key real cars, there’s a number of fake cars with ridiculous impossible specifications really degrading the institution of simulation it tries to achieve. Drag racing did not make a return despite what they said. You can no longer get 2 player replays from the race screen. The race your garage car does not allow you to select specific garage cars. Ray tracing is only available in replays. Water puddle animations are really low budget and disturbing which contrasts an otherwise stellar presentation notably.    … Expand

    Fan des Gran Tourismo depuis la première heure, j’ai vraiment envie de vomir sur cette version « service » qui pousse clairement à sortir sa carte bleu après avoir payé 80 euros. Pas de course Gr1 ni Gr2 à part en Arcade avec des sommes dérisoires à gagner. PlayStation studios sont tellement décevants dernièrement!

    I put the worst mark possible to blame Polyphony Digital regarding the last update.
    Increase car price and reduce the race pricing to push players to pay microtransaction, in addition after game tests is a shame.
    Stop to destroy this wonderful licence focusing only money.

    I was so hyped for it and the gameplay doesnt dissapoint BUT the DRM (Digital Rights Management) is horrible, always online (which is bad), server outage for 30hrs so basically no access to the game and it gets even worse, i feel scammed and i dont have to explain everything, other people have made comparisons and layed down everthing on the table that is bad for everyone to see.

    The roulette wheel is so obviously a fix paying out always the smallest reward, night and day compared to gt sport roulette, micro transactions £15.99 for £2mil and most expensive car so far £20mil... so £160 for a car... I don't think so, race payouts have been reduced to a measly amount, timed invites to purchase cars are pushing u to micro transactions so u don't miss out. And these micro transactions were added straight after the game had been reviewed!!! So much hype and potential but this game ends up as being a bit of a scam really. Sony, Kazunori Yamauchi and Polyphony Digital should be ashamed of what they have put out.    … Expand

    I remember this game as of being the best motorsport in GT2 yes I'm a bit late but, really ya'll goofed it up with your greedy ass mtxs. This is really unnecessary and you know better than that.     This is so disappointing. I love this series. This game completely lacks depth. Hardly any events, cars or tracks. The cars you want? Yeah you’ll need to grind 75 hours to afford it because of the broken economy. Remember getting a daily car for completing the “workout” yeah now you’ll get like 5k credits. I seriously hope this is fixed because I want to love this game. Under the hood it’sThis is so disappointing. I love this series. This game completely lacks depth. Hardly any events, cars or tracks. Super fast, free cars, roulette tickets, etc. Then as soon as you finish the menu books they stop giving our free cars, and stop giving out nearly as many roulette tickets. And the only way to get back to the same pace is spending literally hundreds of dollars on microtransactions. This is a full price game... Not free to play...     The cars cost way more. Paint and wheels cost credits instead of mileage points. And buying a car in GTS, if you wanted to use actual money, was sub $3. If you want to buy it in gt7? Sometimes hundreds of dollars. Or more... This is ridiculous.

    Very disappointed about the game in general but specifically about the awful strategy of Sony and Polyphony about this game. Impossible to gain credits and forcing us to put more money in the game through micro transactions. Not worth the price.

    Imagine playing GT Games since GT1, beeing a Fan since day 1 Back in the dass when, building the Love towards this Franchise and it took "only" 1 day to destroy my passion for this greedy attidute. This is it for me, i Sold my ps5 today since GT7 was the only reason for me to buy this overpriced, scalped console. GG Sony, this is the last Play Station Product for me.

The game's launch has been a disaster, with a 70 dollar price tag, AND micro transactions littered everywhere. The game forces you to go into a painful grind, and this is a single player game with an always-onlineThis game had so much hype, so much excitement building up to it. A true gran turismo 4 successor for the current generation of gaming, it seemed. Except it wasn't. When GT7 servers went down for maintenance, anyone who bought the game couldn't even play the game.

    What is it like to play this game? It’s like paying £70 and PD and Sony reach in to your pockets demanding more. For a game that you can’t play for an undetermined amount of time every week while they do ‘server maintenance’. I bought a PS5 at launch for this game, and now I’ll be selling it.

    I finished the "career mode" last night. Only took a couple of days of playing to beat that. I earned 72 cars from it, a few good ones. Now I have 1.7 million credits and the career is over. There are still 352 cars to collect many costing 10 to 20 million each. Credit payouts are low, The career mode is weak. Gotta grind or spend cash on micro transactions.     We all have to take a stand against this greed or else we will all suffer.

    1. Extremely low race rewards (I raise the note up to 4 for the last promise of kamahuchi to solve the rewards.)
    2. Permanent connection even when you want to play alone
    3. Performance damage to vehicles in racing

    I usually don't do this at all, but I believe there needs to be a change with this game and I hope strength in numbers will help. I've always loved the GT franchise, even the not as good titles have been great games. GT has helped grow my love for cars and racing, so I am not taking this lightly. GT7 has the potential to be the best game in the franchise.     You have ruined my childhood with corporate greed and microtransactions. This was the only game in years i was REALLY looking forward to but i won't EVER buy it. I'll hit where it hurts. The wallet. STOP ONLINE DRM and mobile game design for a game you have to pay atleast 70€ .I'll stick with gran turismo 5.

    I bought an Xbox as my first new console for the first time this generation. I’ve returned to my PS4 for Gran Turismo 7 and I’m so disappointed. The value of Gamepass has made spending £60 on a game almost unbelievably extravagant and only my love for previous games (not Sport) convinced me it was worthwhile. I even like the way it still feels very similar to all the old GT games despite the talk of new super realistic tyres modelling etc. Being online only is an absolute disaster. I regularly finish a race only for it to say I’m offline (no issues with my Xbox on exactly the same network) and ignore any progress, what I’d really like is the return of the epic several hour long GT races but you could never do that with this system, it’s far too unreliable. So online only has to go for single player (I should have learnt after sport) The second thing is the sheer greed, I spent a lot of time with Forza Horizon 5 and while it does give things away far too easily that is much better than the (micro?) transactions Sony expect you to buy. There is so far very little value for money, it offers not much more than Sport for much more money then tries to pry more out of you to buy cars that were in the game at least a decade ago for much less. I think if Forza Motorsport is good that’ll be me done with Playstation, the reasons for buying a PS5 are pretty much 0 for me at the moment. They need to sort this quick but they don’t seem to realise it.… Expand

    I played every gen of GT, this is getting boring, always licensing licensing, over gen again and again. This time the cafe thing is so time consuming. Nothing new, not even many new cars, eg Tesla model s is still old gen!

    Ray tracing sux, just showing off, not realistic at all.

    I am returning this game. Forget about microtransactions on full price game! I am ok with DLC but these are not!! Cutting the winning credit in half to force you to but credit with real money. I ain't going to pay $40 for a 2014 Lamborghini Veneno. I don't want to win 400 races to get it either!!! Sony's greed killed this game

Big-time game critics reviewed the game prior to the update which means they were not allowed certain access to newer add-ons through the update for example the micro transaction area. This is an absolute slap in the face to us players and is being looked at as criminal activity. Do not buy this game.

    1. After copying the game data from the disc, it needs an additional 6 hours to complete the download (I don't know what it is downloading, this is worst than playing games on a PC)
    2. This game is always online. Only found this out after the pre-order. Thinking this doesn't matter but then the stupid 1.07/1.08 maintenance kicked in and I was not able to play the game for more than 24 hours. 24 hours! No joke! I work in the IT industry and with 24 hours I can spin up the whole IT infrastructure via IaC...
    3. The games in this car is very expensive! Kazunori says want to simulate real life pricing. Hello? I am playing a game and the reason why I want to play this game is so that I can run away from real life. Why the hell would you want to simulate real life? I am ESCAPING from life, that's why I play games!
    4. Kazunori and Polyphony Digital did not address the concerns raised by so many people due to the maintenance and how they make the game more grindy. I have a life, I work, I have a family to take care of, I don't have time to sit on my bum for 4-5 hours a day just to grind. This makes me feel that the person/dept that approves this is very arrogant and stupid, or stupidly arrogant and I pity the workers that are working for you. Please resign to make their lives better.
    5. Microtransactions to buy credits. This game was launched at a premium price and I pay premium price for it. If this game is Free, then I don't mind the MTX... You are not Asphalt 9, you are GRAN TURISMO, all your hardwork and reputation that you have build in the past 25 years go down the drain with a single update. Kudos for your stupidity. As a Japanese says - Bakayaro.

    The game had a maintenance when it tried to push patch 1.07 and promised 2 hours of downtime. That downtime was dragged for over 24 hours without prompt updates from Polyphony Digital or Kazunori Yamauchi. The worse is during this time, nothing is playable, not even the music part (it doesn't save my progress during the downtime). I work in the IT side of things. If I have a server down for 15 minutes and all my services are down (just like the case of GT7), it would directly lead to a severity 1 issue with 1 hour to fix that server as soon as possible. It baffles me that there they didn't even try to roll back the patch to 1.06 but proceeded to come out with patch 1.08 anyway.

    I give it a 0 for wasting my money, wasting my time, and not apologizing sincerely.    … Expand

    I spend tons hours on GT4 and GT5, Bought a PS4 pro solely for this game and pre-order it, now all I can do is play half hour everyday running circles hoping daily roulette can drop something other than minimum credits. it's a great game but greedy ruined GT's 25 years reputation.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
