    I love the gameplay, but really. For $100 the newest cars are from 2017? Gran Turismo 7 can be so much better than that.. They also deceived their customers by making credit payouts abysmal. It'll take me 20+ hours of constant 100% clean racing to buy ONE legacy car... but, oh wait! You can just buy $40 worth of credits to buy the McLaren F1 you want on a video game you already spent $100I love the gameplay, but really. For $100 the newest cars are from 2017? Gran Turismo 7 can be so much better than that.. They also deceived their customers by making credit payouts abysmal. It'll take me 20+ hours of constant 100% clean racing to buy ONE legacy car... but, oh wait!     Absolutely ruined the game with microtransactions. Have been looking forward to a true GT game for years (GT sport doesn't count). And this cash grab is all we get, poor form.

    This is the first GT game I ever bought. Was excited after hearing about the gameplay and bought it even after also hearing that the microtransactions and prices for the cars were ridiculous. I just thought "well it can't be that bad"

    Absolute crap. I regret buying this game, and the PS5 to play it. The so-called microtransactions aren't "micro" in any sense of the word. The first hour of gameplay is filled with un-skippable garbage that sets the mood for the rest of the experience.

    Garbage game. The UI is a complete mess. I started it up expecting something similar to GT6. After about 25 mins I gave up because it started to feel like homework. It looks OK but the car physics are rubbish. If you've played something like project cars then you're going to be disappointed. I know I was.

    This push for micro transactions made the previous decision for gt7 to work on ps4 a complete farce. PD came out to say it was they realized the ps5 shortage and believed racing was for EVERYONE to experience. Lol, you mean realizing that you would lose all that money! The justification is “well that’s what updates are for”… no updates are for small tweaks and issues that happen over time, not to reformat the entire game because it’s a disaster from launch! FYI, one over looked aspect is the physics are piss poor as well, different than sport but not any closer to reality… just different. The fact people think these physics are good blows my mind. What’s up snap over steer in almost every car. I’ve driven plenty of cars on track at speed, Ferrari 488gtb at NCM pushing 140mph on the straights and on standard tires factory tires on 500hp c3&c6 corvettes. Yet, you jump in an 180 hp tug boats on this game will randomly blow the rear out for zero reason at all. I get this game is to pay tribute to how gt was from the start… but the only thing they did get right and operating correctly with no issues is the transaction option to buy the game and add funds to buy credits.

    Also, what a bunch of hot air the creator of pd blows. All the wack excuses and reasoning for their decisions. Dude the gig is up we get it you just want our money.    … Expand

    As someone who’s played the very first GT since 1998 and played all the releases throughout the years, I had to make a new profile for Metacritic to express my anger and disappointment with the pay-to-drive gameplay vs actually earning money to buy your favorite cars in GT7.

    I have played this game for 25years and i am disgusted by this latest attempt. So many things about it are awful. The obvious lack of prize money, the microtransactions, the fact you cannot play the game offline, the bugs in the online racing, the awful pp system that works off suspension setups etc, the awful daily race management.     The game was a lot more enjoyable before the shutdown. I don't think there was a bug, i think they just **** up the credits and made a move to change it on the fly before potential money was lost. After playing since release i now don't feel motivated to do races for no win. And originally i thought people was just being ott

    This game was designed to push microtransactions and thats just sad. The spirit of gran turismo is gone. Can't sell cars back that dont need.
    Lack of events.
    Very low credit payout for long custom races.
    Credits earned for races have been decreased.
    Single player is unplayable when offline.
    They claim they want want realism but upgrade parts are overpriced to encourage microtransactions.

That pretty much guarantees that you will NEVER be able to experience all the cars of the game. Then, to stick the knife in even further, Kaz lowers the winnings of races across the board. Thanks for ruining the original spirit and vision of the game.
    I have bought every gran turismo that has ever been made. With these new rules and "real world pricing"(?????) Kaz has tarnished this once great game. VERY SAD. :o(    … Expand

    This game is cash grab, Sony and Polyphony don't care about the games and only about their pockets.
    After releasing the game, they changed it to make it harder than it already was to buy cars without quitting our jobs and playing all day or spending actual cash up $40 a car. They should be sued and boycotted for this greedy behavior.

The publishers should be embarrassed by how quality the driving can be to just be ruined by greed and a budget experience. Had the game been free, I'd not been upset, but I paid full price.     The in game on screen characters are incredibly annoying and I personally skip all of them at every opportunity. I'm not interested in knowing Mitsubishi's history. If only they could be turned off.

    The credit payments are ridiculous considering the effort needed to race. They are clearly trying to push micro transactions and it shows when the first post release patch lowers payments.

    My only regret is buying full price. Based on this, it's not worth the money.    … Expand

Finally updated sounds (especially in the tires) Car collector you are NOT. your cars are only dictated by the cafe book. What cars you earn and what order. I believe most players car collection will be almost identical. If you want to buy    In short do NOT buy it yet!

    - wins provide you "cents" as prize money
    - no selling cars
    - the randomized gifts are ALWAYS the least amount of money the gift can give you
    - Ridiculously expensive cars.

It had to be messed up with lack of new content (circa 80% is from GT Sport) and with the GRIND for full fat 70 USD. This game should be called Grind Turismo 7.     So lucky I didnt buy it, sometimes if you wait you can see the reality, I almost bought The 25th version in Brazil, and here The price is almost 50% of the base salary, Im glad and sad at the same time, I was expecting a new GT with the nostalgic features, offline and without transactions

    AAA game that is almost a pay to win system. Visuals that have not improved much since gt5. A broken reward system where a 2 star can earn you $10k and a 4 star will net you $5k. No offline option to play with your own garage as servers go down. Shocking and disgusted but good range of cars

    Prior to patch 1.07, I'd have given this a 10, since 1.07 I haven't bothered with the game at all. There is now way too little single player content to make any progress, as the winnings have been slashed and the multiplayer payouts are a joke. For the first time ever, my PS5 is going to be my secondary console and I'll be using my Series X as my main console going forward.

    Increase of rewards in Online Races - YEAH RIGHT
    Include a total of eight new one-hour Endurance Race events to Missions. These will also have higher reward settings - YEAH RIGHT
    Increase the upper limit of non-paid credits in player wallets from 20M Cr. to 100M Cr. - WTFF????
    Increase the quantity of Used and Legend cars on offer at any given time - So players are forced to use their cards to purchase vehicles if the cars are available for a limited time?

    A big let down by SONY....following in the footsteps of EA and TakeTWO (Rockstar).

    it wouldn't take a genius to workout that Polyphony Digital have taken their fans for a ride, they betrayed the trust millions of people.

    Bad: The core guts of the game... The classic GT games were so innovative and available for exploring or grinding. You could think of almost any car you wanted, throw parts on it and find suitable races for it. You used to be able to hot swap parts and/or sell your previous parts as you progressed up the mod tiers. Hell, you used to be able to sell the damn cars! Or vice versa, something you would have never wanted to drive, you'd purchase and upgrade and experiment with because each car you unlocked had a unique race(s) associated with it or its class.
    -Car List: The car list from GT2 was 10x better than this version. There are so many obvious exclusions
    -Rewards: First off, the roulette rewards are a complete scam. Race rewards are pretty bad considering the overall economy of the game. Thanks for the Million credits, but its still a joke.
    -Race List: There are under 40 single player missions and almost 10 of those are "go equip this part", "go tune this", "install wide body", etc. There are a bunch of cars/classes that have no single player missions at all. Each track should have a variety of class, DT, PP or manufacture restriction.

    I know some people just want MP or Sport mode, but the single player content is an absolute joke. This was supposed to be the epitome of racing sim games. The best GT ever? It feels so empty. Like an alpha release. I feel like I barely scratched the surface and then the credits roll as if this is some masterpiece. It should be priced at $40. Let alone the DRM or online locked restrictions. I was so hyped for this game and barely find myself even thinking about it anymore. what a waste of a franchise    … Expand

I swear this whole game is setup…from the roulette to just about placing in races to where it makes you need to spend money on upgrades only to be in the same position after upgrading. It’s a scam!     Not impressed. Waited years for this game and we were promised a huge single player campaign like in GT4. Where is it? And I don’t like the fact I paid 70 quid and am being hindered by woeful credit rewards - obviously the idea is that we’ll start paying for content. Well I’ll not be doing that any time soon. Very disappointed.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]
