    - Many other pay outs were lowered as well, two were raised but that does not cover the amount that was lowered so a net loss for users
    - The "roulette" cards are rigged. In my experience you get the lowest prize about 90% of the time. Outside of the cars or other credit prizes they are generally worthless. Especially the "prize" that then allows you to spend 2 million credits on a car that you are now allowed to buy. Seems like predatory MTX practices to me.

    They are not honest
    - Claimed you can sell cars, you cannot
    - In an "apology" post they want you to see the long term vision, translating that from corporate speak means "we will not change anything and just ride out the wave of anger and continue our predatory MTX practices"
    - Can't stress this enough as of 9/29/2022 you still cannot SELL cars

    Single player is online only
    - You cannot play the single player offline races without an internet connect AND their servers need to be up and running
    - Early one their servers were down for roughly 30 hours severely limiting what you could play (it was not worth playing)
    - It took them about 20 hours to even post any type of statement about what the problem was or when a resolution might be in place
    - The interface to get from one area or race to another is not great. A lot of button presses and even more to exit a race.

    Multiplayer
    - Rammers are all over. You might have some clean races but do not expect to
    - You can get rammed, get a penalty for that and the rammer gets nothing
    - You might barely tap another car and get a penalty
    - Really frustrating. Almost at the same level of racing Monza on the F1 game in an open lobby.

    Conclusion
    - Play another racing game, this one is not worth your time    … Expand

    I‘m out! Started a long time ago with GT2 on my PS1 and played GT3, GT4 and GT Sport. With GT7 the series is coming to an end for me. I will not buy it. Of course, graphics are great as always. But they have been awesome since GT3. This is not the main reason for playing a new Gran Turismo anymore. At least not for me. More important is now gameplay and game structure. And here we are: II‘m out! Started a long time ago with GT2 on my PS1 and played GT3, GT4 and GT Sport. With GT7 the series is coming to an end for me. I will not buy it. Of course, graphics are great as always. But they have been awesome since GT3. This is not the main reason for playing a new Gran Turismo anymore. At least not for me. More important is now gameplay and game structure. And here we are: I don‘t pay 70 Euro just for slightly better graphics compared to GT Sport. So what is with the rest of the game? Is it worth it? In my opinion it is not. One main reason is the in game currency. It has been there ever since GT entered gaming but nowadays they want you to pay real money to get enough in game credits. So if you are like me and neither have the time to grind endless hours for some virtual cars and upgrades nor want to spend additional money for in game stuff that has already being purchased within the game price (70 Euro), what will you do? I say: don‘t waste any money and don‘t waste any time for a dirty business practice. Yes, I know. GT Sport has had microtransactions as well. But they were not as aggressive. Now earning in game credits has become harder to simply force someone into paying real money for it. I will not support this. Update 18.03.22: With a new update they made it even harder to earn in game credits (only half of the old in game price money for won races).
    Some other aspects leading to my decision to not buy the game:
    - after GT Sport came without classic GT circuits there are now only a few of them back in GT7. Some of the all time fan favorites are missing again
    - Rain and daytime effects are finally there but - again - not available on every track
    - again no damage model for the cars
    - the online mode with three daily races is the same as it was in GT Sport. Zero innovation.
    - last but not least the publisher decided to not offer the game to Russian players because of Russias war against Ukraine. What has this to do with someone in Russia who want‘s to play a PlayStation game? I don’t go along with this kind of collective punishment.    … Expand

    Basically Gran Turismo Sport with way less content, always online for single player and aggressive micro transactions.
    Single player content wil finished in 10-25hrs, laughably short for a Gran Turismo title.
    Save your money and don't trust the Game journalists.
    Game looks pretty & driving is fun, other than that it's garbage and 99% of the racing games out there will provide more fun.

    Dear Gaming press... how could you have overseen all that Microtransactions, Allways online and sucking Grind features in your reviews? Metascore 88 - what a joke. This is not a Gran Turismo, nor Reference and for sure, not the best Racing Game 2022. It's nothing more like a Prologue version and far beyond overhyped.

I had the veil removed from my eyes after the Gran Turismo 7 update debacle. I’ve been sorely disappointed with Sony and Polyphony Digital. This game left me with a very bad impression of them both. I was excited to play Gran Turismo 7 on a PS5, but I had to settle on for PS4 version. I actually grew very tired of waiting to find a PS5 at a reasonable price, so I decided to buy an XBOX Series X (and don't regret it). Once I got to experience the Horizon and Motorsport titles, I must say that I was highly impressed with them all. They are beautiful visually, audibly and gameplay is a blast. I can see now why so many people were always saying that Forza is better than GT. Gran Turismo 7 actually pales in comparison to even the older versions (on Xbox One). I’m not here to bash Sony, PD or GT7; I’m here to say do better. It’s going to take some work to win back this GT7 fan over again. I’ll still get a PS5 sometime in the future when it becomes more feasible to do so, but in the meantime, I’ll be waiting on Forza Motorsport 8 to drop.… Expand

    For me this game is like a new FIFA. Looks almost identical, I will never use a lot of features of this game - like rendering cars on real photos. I give this game 0/10 because of the ingame store and expensive microtransactions in expensive AAA game. This feels like F2P game...

    Update. 17/03/2022 the game has down with excuse of maintenances to remove all ways to get less credits on single player more than 28 hours offline and the game its totally a pay to win.     I'm so disappointed with this game. It looks great, it runs great. But forcing people to drive the worlds most boring cars for at least 15hours, paying out unbelievably small winnings and at the same time keep on nagging about "topping up your credits" aka Micro transactions, ruin this game for me. I'm selling it.

As far as gameplay goes GT is the same old stupid 1 minute long mini-games with a horrible user interface that is designed for some reason for a computer mouse. Too much restrictions, too many menus, uninspiring career races that all start with rolling starts no matter how good you perform in the polls, need invitations to purchase vehicles...and if you do not have the credits, those invitations expire. Static scenery and lack of animations for anything outside of the vehicle...missing volumetric lightning in some instances and on some tracks... frequent frame drops in training mode and sometimes in Career....lack of freedom with weather customization. The fixed chase cam is Nauseating. Can't look side to side while in chase cam view ...only in cockpit and other camera modes. Annoying microtransactions..This game is just GT Sport with a campaign. with a campaign

    This game **** sucks.....

    - Stingy with credits
    - Uninspiring Campaign
    - Cannot sell cars even tho it says we can on the PS Store
    - Cars sound like a vacuum - Super ANNOYING rolling starts
    - Frustratingly slow start to the game
    - Fixed chase cam is lame and need stop be more fluid
    - Always online is ridiculous
    - Lack of events and compelling rewards after the campaign
    -Cars are beautiful but the tracks are dead. No wind of tree animations. Just Stiff
    - Missing so many car manufacturers, as stated above
    - No reasons to do long drives because credit per race is capped at 250k even if it's 24hr long races
    - No mileage points like in GT Sport
    - Can not change cars from in race menus
    - Stupidly integrated the arcade mode into the campaign, while GT Sport had arcade mode on the main menus
    - Too many menus and button clicks to use basic features
    - Horrible Micro-transaction prices
    - MICRO-TRANSACTIONS
    -RIDE 4 has better haptics

    Had been looking forward to this game for a very long time, but I will not support a game that is ultimately a boring grind fest designed to drive ridiculous microtransaction they snuck in after the initial reviews. Glad Elden Rings came out at the right time to prevent me from purchasing at launch.

    Many missions and licenses are extremeply poorly balanced. Some has a time diff of 0.5-1.0 seconds between gold and silver. This requires nano-second precision and is just stupid since none of the events/races requires this kind of precision.

    The AI is cheating. They rocket propell and drive faster during the last lap. Even though you manage to easily overtake them in the first few laps, they magically catch up with you again in the end. Every single race is also a rolling start with you in the last position, and it's built so that you're only meant to take the lead on the last lap.

    The roloutte rewards are a plague. Through the whole campaign I got one single car. The other times I got the worst possible reward EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. It's basically a spit in the face.

    This game clearly shows that GT is a long dead series. Many other games like Forza Horizon is just so much better.    … Expand

    If a game is centered around being always online and is connected to servers that one day shut down, guess becomes of physics copies of the game. With no offline single player mode, you can never return to playing Grab Turismo 7. This is just a microtransaction machine, nothing more. It is not GT3 or GT4. Say goodbye to Gran Turismo.

    - connexion obligatoire pour du solo, aujourd’hui MAJ 1.07 qui foire : serveurs down depuis ce matin 9h… il est 19h !!! Quel foutage de gueu*e. Ça ça n’arrive pas chez Forza et Microsoft !!!
    - courses nerfees pour qu’on achète des crédits avec son porte monnaie : Sony for the payeurs plus que jamais !

    Bref GT7 est à nouveau un jeu arcade pour casual gamers conducteurs du dimanche et collectionneurs de voitures majorettes !
    Pour les vrais amoureux des circuits et du gameplay : Go jouer à Forza motorsport 7 en attendant le 8 qui va encore enterrer GT7 sur metacritic !
    Graphiquement c’est juste un GT Sport PS4 légèrement amélioré !
    Même Grid legends fait mieux en terme d’IA avec ses nemesis !
    Ce jeu n’est plus que la pâle ombre de ce qu’il fut jadis : une référence. Aujourd’hui c’est l’objet de critiques et de railleries bien méritées !

Plus most of the cars have about 200k plus credit worth of modifications to buy.

    Secondly the game offers nothing over GT Sport. The only truly new thing is the lazy and boring gt coffee mode (witch is most of the single player campain). It is just a bunch of 2-3 lap races for cars the you abandon for the rest of the campain. On top of this the AI is horrible. On some tracks they are really slow, on other tracks they are okay. But the worst of them all is that the AI strait out ignores you. Spin you around, squeeze you off the track. The other new thing is the street car tuning with the Performance Point system. It takes the power of the car, the weight and the suspensions characteristics to calculate a number. It does not translate well to actual performance when you drive the car.
    Every other modes ( circulate experience, license test ) are available in GT Sport. Given that there are only 3 new track there is not a lot have been added to GT7.

    Driving the cars at least is good. It is not a simulator, but more complex than a arcade racer. Perfect combination to race online. The driving is the only reason why I'm not rating it lower than 5/10. It is such a shame that the daily races are still update once a week.

    If you loved other GT games GT7 is a fine way to play on a modern system but it has nothing new. If you got bored with GT Sport or you looking for a simulator on the PS5 this isn't the game for you. If they increase credit earned for races, add more tracks and touch up the AI, than the game could be a 8/10.

    After the recent debacle I returned the game for a full refund.
    I will only re-purchase if the "on-line only" stipulation is removed, which in my opinion will NEVER happen.
    Looks like I’ll have to buy an Xbox to enjoy the only other AAA racing game.

    This game ran into the same problems Forza Morotsport 7 ran into, except some of those problems were made 10 times worse, especially the loot boxes and micro-transactions. And don't get me started with the frequent maintenance updates.

    The lead up to the games release was all built on lie and deception. The consumer was lead to believe that this would be the most complete GT to date. Its not even close to the most complete, in fact its the opposite. There is a HUGE lack of single player content.     The content has been stripped from the game pre-release and is being drip fed back into it under the guise of 'new' content. The scum developers also withheld the macrotransactions from review copies and re-activated them after release, this behaviour alone has burned any faith I had in PD. I will never buy another product from them again.

    Its a shame because the driving itself feel really good. Well, it did until they completely f**ked the FFB after update 1.15.

    I give up on this game and PD. 3 months of nothing but the most ridiculously frustrating silence and decision making with regards to this game. If I could refund, I would.    … Expand

    Non è possibile!!! Con la patch 1.5 hanno completamente rovinato il force feedback del TGT2...... adesso è leggerissimo!!! Ho pagato un volante 700 Euro per avere un force feedback di un volante da 50 euro.....
    Qualcuno alla Sony dovrebbe essere licenziato per questo. Adesso Gran Turismo è un gioco per bambini di 6anni!!! Beh, allora io non ci giocherò più.....

    15 years of waiting and this release is only a shadow of the previous version: Gran Turismo 6. The game feels like they took Gran Turismo Sports and made in into GT7 overnight.     - Standing starts with practices amd wualifying session (as opposed to always start from last place)
    - Better AI
    - More intuitive UI
    - More customization of UI and FFB

    I'll give it a 2 because it's a very slick and fun to play racing game on the surface, and I've personally enjoyed taking a slower pace. I'm not particularly obsessed with pursuing any great goals other than completing my daily "workout", which is a hilarious thing to call it.

Once you learn more about the game's economy, and the designers' plans to make this a game of the haves and the have nots where the cars of our dreams are reserved for the wealthy (whether rich in time to grind, or real-life money, he says he wants those cars to be as unattainable in the game as they are in the real world). Shame on this obvious cash grab. It's a two-star game as it is, until they seriously re-evaluate the game economy I don't recommend.

You don't have enough time to save enough money to buy the car that you have an invitation for so this can cause FOMO and some people may buy into the extra credits. You can't sell the cars you don't want/ have duplicates of, this is obviously done so that you are again forced into buying the extra credits. People found ways to earn money quite quick by grinding some races, PD quickly patched them races so they're not worth it now. For some unknown reason the game, even when playing single playing is online only so this 1.07 patch that was botched has now not allowed anyone to play any of the single player campaign for nearly a full day as you need connections to the server. The campaign itself is a little Short and it needs to add a few more endurance races (I know you can set up a custom race but it's not the same). In my opinion I feel as though PD have basically joined the rest of gaming industry with their greed and money first over customers. Like I said the core mechanics that the game developers have worked on are great, the physics feel good and the weather is amazing. It's the bolt ons that they have been done to monitized this game that have killed it.… Expand

    - The economy is deliberately fudged so they can sell microtransactions.
    - Race rewards are poor. There are too many expensive cars and tuning parts.
    - Patch updates have nerfed race rewards and even tripled car prices.
    - You cannot test drive cars at the dealership (or sell cars you own).

    Restrictions:
    - Performance points (PP) restrictions are absolutely frustrating.
    - Races have restrictions but patch updates keep changing car PP numbers.
    - You enter a race one day, and then next update; your car is not eligible.
    - Your time and money is wasted. Too often you will be down-tuning your cars.

    Licences & pre-race:
    - It is cumbersome to look for cars (no search, just big lists to scroll).
    - The higher level License tests are optional (no races require them).
    - Some license tests e.g Laguna Seca, you will need a lot of luck to pass.
    - There is no race qualifying option or B-spec mode in the campaign.

    Racing experience:
    - Game is heavily optimised for racing wheels (controller is less precise).
    - Too many rolling starts (leading cars are half a lap ahead on short tracks).
    - The driving speed feels good but the mph/kmh numbers seem exaggerated.
    - A.I. are generally on a fixed path and often end up driving into you.

    Penalties & damage:
    - Events with penalties suck. Hit a wall by accident? get penalized twice.
    - Events with car damage suck. Scratch a wall and the car drives all wonky.
    - After around 30 seconds the car magically recovers from any incident.
    - No car body damage, only scratches that just disappear after a race.

    Weather & Tracks:
    - Terrible rain effect on all cars, it is as slippery as black ice.
    - Hard tires lose all grip after like 5-8 laps, it is beyond unrealistic.
    - Rally races are awful, cars float and launch into the air comically.
    - Lack of track variety. There are no winter/snow or city tracks.

    Prizes & RNG:
    - To motivate racing daily, there is a roulette wheel prize. It is rigged.
    - All prizes are pre-selected - the spinning animation is just for show.
    - The best car parts are locked behind RNG (can't be bought at tuning shop).
    - You need to win a 'invite' to be able to buy some cars at the dealership.

Too few "nice vehicles" considering what Forza offers then Gran Turismo is a joke. It lacks the excitement and desire to play. After a few days I don't feel like playing anymore... And what's really bad,I've been waiting for this game for so many years and I've been disappointed in so many ways.     If the servers are down, which they have been, all day, for "maintenance", you will NOT be able to play the vast majority of the game. And keep in mind, I'm talking about single player... You can't access your garage, any custom vehicles or campaign    There's an excellent game here, if you can even play it... There are some major issues, and the two worst ones aren't likely to be fixed.

Second major issue is how integrated and pushed microtransactions. Now, you might think it's no big deal if people want to buy credits to fast track vehicle acquisition and upgrades... And, I agree, making it available is fine. But that's NOT the problem. PD is already reducing race payouts to increase the grind, and push microtransactions even more. This is bad for everyone. EVEN those that pay for credits. Instead of buying credits maybe a couple times while playing through, and winning credits along the way, you'll win FAR less now than you would have in previous updates, and might end up shelling out even more money on microtransactions. And, for those who aren't going to pay for credits, they're now forced to grind more than in ANY other GT game. And that's, again, only if they can play at all...    … Expand

    In itself a good game, but the online compulsion and microtransactions ruin the game. Just that you adjust the prices for the races with patch 1.07 to make the races less attractive and to force people to microtransactions for the legendary cars.

    Great graphics and gameplay, but the weighed down by greedy developers pushing micro transactions for a full price game. The game has already failed and not accessible because of the online only, even though most players play single player. All to push selling the in game credits. Fix your game

    The game just force you to grind to buy any cars in the car dealers. The new patch just make this even worse by reduce the race winning prize money..

    They have fixed the grind a bit, now you can make ~800k in 30 minutes, so the situation is bit better. New cars have been added. Still, it feels like the game is still missing a lot of content, like music and campaign other than cafe menus. It is still always online.     It is not the game you fell in love with (Gran Turismo 1-6), instead they decided to make an always online game with micro-transactions. They still charge the premium price for it however.
    To make the matters worse, they decided in the 1.07 patch to cut the rewards of the races, so people would either have to grind hours and hours for a 20 mil car, or buy it with a very expensive (200$) microtransaction.    … Expand

    so disappointed with the devs decision to cut the payouts for the races. they clearly want us to pay for the cars with real money or play 10 hours to buy a single car. Moreover it is impossible to sell the cars that you have twice…

    Pre-ordered from launch so had a good amount of time with the game. As far as the gameplay, customisation, car selection and modes go the game is brilliant. Unfortunately the game requires always online connection which means you can’t play even single player without server access.     A 8/10 on release, but shortly after securing their bags they scam the costumers with reduced prices money into buying credits via micro transactions. If this wasn't bad enough, the game is offline for over a day now, because they've an issue with that "update". The game is not playable for like 22 hours as the time of writing this review.

    Steaming pile of feces. First they hid the microtransactions until release date so they would get better review scores, then 2 weeks later they drop the payout from races to push players toward buying their microtransactions. Can't sell unwanted cars either, for obvious reasons.

    I cannot play in single player mode because your servers are down. It's already the second day. It's ridiculous. Also, in-game micropayments for which I paid a lot of money are not okay. The last part I bought :(

    I like Playstation-Games but players seems to forget that Sony always mtx their games with **** like The Last of Us or Uncharted, always need a extra part like the PS Vita Memory Card and they even created the Online Pass in a line with Ubisoft back then. They are not so nice as it seems because once in while they releasenm a good sp game. Also GT Sport was already always online at leastI like Playstation-Games but players seems to forget that Sony always mtx their games with **** like The Last of Us or Uncharted, always need a extra part like the PS Vita Memory Card and they even created the Online Pass in a line with Ubisoft back then.     Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
