Give less cars at the beginning but more money so people can buy the cars they want.

    Micro transactions are a bad joke... Waiting until critic reviews are out to introduce transactions is a common yet low move for the developer. This industry practice needs to stop. This is false advertising and should be treated as such by industry watchdogs.

    All cars should be reachable in a full priced game without needing to do hundreds of races to get 1 rare car. This is not a free to play experience, someone tell the developer, I think they missed that meeting... Roulette spins are very obviously weighted towards the low end prizes, should be actually random. Reducing race payouts, limited stock cars and legend cars are all clearly trying to drive players to purchase with real money.

    DRM needs to go! Always online mode for any decent content is ridiculous. Arcade and Music Rally are not worth playing on their own, might as well just lock people out during maintenance. Bring back local saves.    … Expand

    Whomever approved these micro transactions at Sony is so out of touch with the player base it’s scary.

    I returned my copy for a full refund. Hope they learn from mistakes.

    Waste of time and money. Bored after few hours of play. Racers AI is terrible. I cant afford cars i want, if i not grind days.
    After patch it is unplayable. Collecting all cars is
    almost imposible for casual players.

    Graphic?! Car models are actualy only one good thing on this game.. i wanna cry.

    Earning credits is made to be unreasonably slow and difficult for average players, overtly encouraging the spending of real money on microtransactions. An expensive, full-priced game of this nature should not be structured like a free mobile game wherein one is almost forced to continue paying small fees to make the game playable.

    The Racing is as good as it has always been. The release of microtransactions after review copies were reviewed, the lack of microtransactions during the review period, the following slashing of progress in the game through playing, and the online only access to the game means I'm standing up for gamers and extending the finger of objection in the direction of Sony and Gran Turismo.

    What a slap in the face to the fans of GT. Sony and Kaz totally played their loyal passionate fans and just spat in our faces. Then Kaz had the nerve to MOCK us with his comments about grinding and MTX.

    Good work Kaz, you just undone all your hard work on GT7 and lost our respect. What a waste of a great game.

    Just not possible to rate higher a basically offline game which needs permanent server connection and abussive microtransactions to get single cars when this title essence should be to collect cars while driving, not farming 20 hours for only 1 car or paying extra after buying the game at full price. Current game status in one word: frustrating.

    Want a refund on this game. We were sold a different product. Changing the racing rewards POST launch is the worst practice a company can take. Sony and Poly should be ashamed. I can not recommend this game.

    Underneath a pile of greed, there is a really fun racing game in here. First they added MTX after review period ended, and then a week in gutted the race payouts. Also its lame you cant sell cars.

    Absolutely unacceptable! What a way to ruin a legendary IP with micro transactions! The level of greed by Sony and Polyphony to allow this in your face greed will not be forgotten. This is how you lose customers. Remove the micro transactions NOW or lose the respect of gamers like EA.

    Do you like a dismal track selection? How about single cars taking over 50hrs of playing to earn enough credits or hundred of dollars in microtransactions? What about stupid music race mode that is exactly the same as a regular race just with tons of ugly crap on the screen? If you like being screwed you'll love this.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don't want to just take a dump on a potentialy great game but gran turismo 7 just makes me feel bad.
    I'm a huge fan of car games, especialy simracing games and at first glance gran turismo 7 is a great addition to the franchise. It has loots of good points like the amazing cars handeling and sound, great customization and nice graphics. But it also has major flaws. The game can olny be played online so when te servers are down you're basicaly screwed. Since the 1.07 update it's very hard to earn large amounts of credits and the majority of the cars are very expensive. You can't sell cars and the microtransactions are very present and at your disadvantage. The roulette tickets are broken and give some useless parts or small amounts of money 95% of the time. The campain is very short and beacause of the cars performance limitations you can't play whith the more powerful ones without detuning them. There are only 34 playable tracks at the time. The multiplayer is broken and you don't have full control over your server ( rammers and dirty racers are a real problem ). To conclude gt7 is a game that has an amazing potential but needs to be improved drasticaly.    … Expand

    Played since GT1. Polyphony have revealed their true greedy selves with hiding the MTX from reviews before release. Dishonest scum bags. Then nerfing payouts in update 1.07, that’s the final straw. Kazanori has no honour, do not buy this game, there are plenty of other racing games on the market.

The second thing to point out is the blatant corporate greed here. They reduced many of the races payouts by half because people were replaying them over and over again to earn money to buy vehicles. Now I don't feel that the prices are too high for vehicles because the car market is so weird these days that some of these prices actually make sense but for the director of the game to come out and defend their actions because they don't want people replaying races so they can enjoy the game is absolute crap. That argument would only make sense if they were a lot more races to play, which there isn't, or if the race is actually paid out more money so that way I wouldn't have to replace them as much. Whether or not they want to admit it oh, it's clearly to force people towatds microtransactions so they can make more money, which is completely unacceptable given how much we paid for the game. It's truly shameful seeing this company sink this low for this and ruin what has truly been a fantastic gaming experience for the first week or two of enjoying this game. If they fix their mistakes with this update then maybe there's still hope for this game but as it stands right now I will not recommend this game to anyone… Expand

    Where to start? The game has over 400 cars but hardly any of them are available at one time. You have to wait for the used car dealership to cycle through the cars. You can’t play the campaign without a internet connection and the latest updates have completely nerfed the payouts.     The insane micro transactions and always online just to play the game in single player is complete BS. Honourable mentions also include the rigged roulette system for engine swaps which was a feature everyone was looking forward to.

    I’m disappointed with the microtransactions, lack of offline mode, low paying races, high cost of cars, Polyphony’s response to everything and roulette tickets only ever giving the lowest tier reward. Other than that, it’s a pretty good game. I’d normally rate it a 5 but I’m giving it a zero out of principle

    The roulette is trash you hardly get anything good and you can’t use half the cars you want unless it’s for specific tracks. Not to mention the money for some cars are ridiculous now they have needed the winning payouts to entice people to pay for Cr’s with real money. This definitely needs addressing.

    Payed 100€ for the Digital Deluxe edition. Feel disappointet. Lack of Racetracks and Grind is terrible and the Microtransactions are a Joke. Nice driving but I don't really feel like buying cars or tuning Equipment cause making Money is too time intense. After 1 Week of playing it just got booring...

    plus the gameplay, mission, championships were so short.... tracks that have been on since gt1 have been taken off

You are also gonna have to spend LOADS of money on tuning and maintenance if you want to be competitive online, or make your cars fun, which is ridiculous. I've spent more money tuning than I have actually buying cars...

    The roulete system is definitely rigged as well. I've completed all 39 cafè's and have done many daily workouts, and have not gotten anything other than $10,000 or $5,000 credits. 95% of the time I get that, and the other 5% I've gotten a new engine or new muffler... I've never won any of the big prizes

    If you wanna continue talking about bad fan service, their servers were down for 24 hours, and they never gave anyone a free gift, as a "sorry you couldn't play this $80 game you just bought." They could've at least given us a free roulette (even though I'd probably win only 5,000 credits). That's time I could've spent making credits to saving up for their absurd pricing for tuning, maintenance and cars.

    Some positives is that it is a very fun game. The racing feel is awesome, the cars and tracks look incredible, the sounds of the vehicles is great, and the menu layout is very nice; however, the major annoyances ruin this game to the point where I don't even wanna play it anymore; we play video games like Gran Turismo because we cannot afford these cars in the real world; now, thanks to poly/sony, I can't even afford cars in a video game... creating realworld prices in a video game, and making it so difficult, grindy and boring to make credits, is NOT the way to go, and is not fair for people who can't just fork money over to pay for a competitive car to use that week, or to use a car they've always dreamed of owning, or to just collect and try all the great cars the game has to offer. There are cars in GT sport that you could buy for $3, that you now have to buy for $40 in GT7??? How does that even make any sense???

    There is also some BAD track exploits and penalty systems online. Can't even count how many times I've been rammed, and I'm the one who gets the penalty because I couldn't stop myself from hitting the barrier... Then I just see the other player go off, sometimes free from penalties, or with only a 2 second penalty. Meanwhile, I'm completely out of the race, now...

    Don't even get me started on GT music rally; it's stupid, boring and no one wanted it.

But considering the micro transactions were introduced just after the reviews came out just so they could get a good score and get their money and also the updates which have cut the race winnings to further push consumers to pay more money on top of the £70 they had already forked out, not only that with the servers always down for maintenance you can’t even play the game most of the time, even the single player because of it being always online.     I love buying physical games for collection, but this game doesn't have any value physically because it needs to be connected to the internet to use it. This inconvenience could be fixed in a future update, but the physical version 1.0 is condemned.

Der Grund warum ich trotzdem nur 2 Sterne gebe ist jedoch das abartig langwierige farmen von Credits! Man benötigt für das neue legendäre Auto, das 18.000.000 Credits kostet ungefähr 27 Stunden um es zu erspielen. Ich könnte aber auchEs macht Spass das Spiel an sich zu spielen.     The one car I wanted to get was the McLaren F1. I've just seen its 20 million credits. I don't think I'll ever win that many credits, and if I was to buy the credits through the playstation store that would be £159.90. £159.90 for a single car! This is insane. I will never buy ANY credits for this game. It wasn't a free game, it was expensive.

    Needs to be connected to Sony servers, so when you loose internet connection or theyr servers are down you can’t really play the game. (Which just happened for 30 hours)

    Also the progression in the game is now painfully slow, thanks to wanting you to spend more real money. No way this profession rate would be like this of micro transactions wasn’t in the game.

    It is a game packed with microtransaction, upt to a point you cant enjoy the game without it, it is a full PAY to WIN game .... lame

    Also, take the always online requirement off, it’s a horrible experience as well. The infamous outage only shines light on another problem that Sony created at the expense of paying customers.

    I could deal with the servers being down, thats not really a killer to me, but the microtransaction based economy of the game was borderline broken to start. And then you slash player payouts... why don't you just say you want to ream our wallets further.

    Want to race more than 1 track? START A NEW LOBBY
    Have a room glitch out (pretty often) START A NEW LOBBY
    Have a player wrecking others that needs to be removed? You cant. Guess what, you cant boot them. START A NEW LOBBY
    Hell, you cant even change the track without STARTING A NEW LOBBY.

    Really no actual update from previous version. It seems that the development team has been sleeping. Most disappointed about the road feel. It still is like driving Mario cart. The cars slides all over the road very unlike a real car on a real road. Also the most expensive game I have bought!

And perhaps to make the game last longer since all the time it take to click through those screens put a limit to how much you can actually drive for each real hour you spend in the game. In reality it's just driving you away from even starting the game since you just can't be bothered to waste your own time like that.
    Sure, the game can show some amazing still photos. But the in game race graphics are certainly not next-gen! I have double checked to see if I am running the PS4 version, but sadly it does say PS5. Still waiting for the patch where they admit that everyone was running the wrong version. Nothing else can explain it.
    The sound of the cars are supposed to be much improved and among the best in the genre etc. But... Most cars sound the same - like electric razors and kitchen appliances.. Wooo the thrill...
    And to address the elephant in the room too - Yes it is way WAY too heavy on the micro transactions. Even for a free to play game I would think this is a bit much. But for a next-gen full price game it is way beyond what is in any way acceptable. Compared to any other game in the series the game is lacking in play modes, tracks, cars and.. fun! And it is all too obvious that we are all supposed to buy all those missing features later on. I am pretty sure even if I bought 2000 dollars worth of content and play modes, the shop is still not offering to make the game FUN    … Expand

    Very slow going to earn in game credits with the game’s economy driven by mtx. It Shouldn’t be the focus of a full rrp game. To add Insult to injury they recently lowered the race rewards to push mtx harder, very predatory. It pains me to say it but AVOID this game until PD fix the game’s economy.

The payouts and spin wheel reward system is absolutely a sick hideous joke, especially for car parts.     Cannot believe gt7 has taken the greed route. Make us grind endless hours for minimal credits, up price of cars up to 8 times previous cost and force to by credits in a way where you have to get more than needed just to pocket our hard earned money. I will boycott all this anti consumer greed. Take your game and shove it into your real world tailpipes

    Pushy strategy for microtransaction, many cars are almost impossible to get by playing normally, so if you don’t pay extra you’re getting only **** cars.

    Beside the game is good, but paying 79€ and then being pushed to pay extra is unacceptable.

    It pains me to have to say this but I feel no joy playing after 1.08 patch. How am I supposed to get credits in game to buy new cars?! In previus games there was a beutiful balance with progress of skill and amount of money you got. Please fix this asap. I am a big fan.

I have about an hour each evening to play before kids and a full time job take up the rest of my day. For that reason, the incredibly low race payouts mean I'm unlikely to ever own any of they top cars in the game.     Je suis très déçu de latitude des créateurs du jeu, lors de la dernière mise à jour...
    Le jeu est devenu une pompe à fric, même si je l'admets c'est un des meilleurs jeux de voitures de tous les temps, je n'ai même plus envie d'y jouer, c'est devenu de plus en plus dur de se faire plaisir pour acheter des voitures !
    Je modifierai sûrement ma note si ils réagissent ...

    The fact that you have to be connected to the servers to play single player is ridiculous. The "micro" transactions are absolutely unacceptable. It would literally cost over $180 to buy the McClaren F1. I get that the game is supposed to be a simulation, but we all know this is just greed.

    I actually really enjoyed my first few hours in this game. Then the always online requirement reared its ugly head.

    I tried asking Sony Playstation for a refund, but their support working **** said I couldn't get one because I was mere hours past the 14 day refund period, which in itself is a dumb **** policy.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.
