    Wow. They really got the micro transactions wrong. Core gameplay is good until you realise if you want to afford the most desirable cars you need to play the game as much as a full time job of spend a lot of money on micro transactions. They need to change this. This is a worse situation than Battlefront 2. If they don’t see sense this franchise is finished. I think it’s fair to say theWow.     Grind turismo first gran turismo in 15 days completes all events for a game that was focused on single player is gt sport is more complete and challenging at this level finally changed the rewards down in races giving no alternatives to earn money other than repeating the same race dozens of times makes the game a bad game

    Ich hoffe die PLAYSTION Ony Fans schauen sich mal beim Xbox Lager um. Forza Motorsport hatt den Namen auch verdient, selbst Forza Horizen(Arcade) hatt eine bessere Fahrphysik als Grant Turismo. Hatte mir Grant Turismo Sport für 5 Euro damals gekauft und das waren schon 5 Euro zuviel Für GT 7 müsst    Sony ihr deppen, GT war und ist immer ein Arcade Spiel ihr habt es so dermaßen verschissen.

    You have taken something I have looked forward to for years and utterly ruined any enjoyment I might have gotten from it. As someone who has been a fan of the Gran Turismo series since the original on the PS1 it is so grotesque to see what corporate greed and short sidedness has done to this franchise. Even if we somehow put aside the microtransactions and the insulting nerfing of anyYou have taken something I have looked forward to for years and utterly ruined any enjoyment I might have gotten from it.     The game has a great fantastic core but the game pushes micro transactions. The community found a decent way (not even really) to make credits.... They immediately did an update to screw us over. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone.... And I LOVED the GT series since PSx GT1. This is sad and pathetic.

    Downgrade from GT Sport. Was a long wait with high expectations but I'm very disappointed. After 1.08 things got worse. I can't believe I spent so much money in the anniversary edition and now I have to pay to enjoy the game. I guess this is my last Gran Turismo. It's a shame because I have been a big fan for 25 years...

    Game in current state unplayable. You can complain about a lot of things, microtransactions, online obligation, but for me its oversteering of the cars. Not able to drive a FR or RR cars and take a curve without spin like a gyroscope, absolute ridiculous. Played every GT since PS2 and had never a problem with that. Look on Reddit, its a common problem.

    I was so excited for this game. Then I got it and was extremely disappointed that i couldn't play story mode offline. I really wanted to play so I paid for psn sub. Started playing the game and it was fun at first. I bought a use skyline r34 did a few upgrades and was broke. The grind is unbelievable. Then I found the microtransaction option and my heart literally sank. If I could I wouldI was so excited for this game. Then I got it and was extremely disappointed that i couldn't play story mode offline. I really wanted to play so I paid for psn sub. Started playing the game and it was fun at first. I bought a use skyline r34 did a few upgrades and was broke. The grind is unbelievable. Then I found the microtransaction option and my heart literally sank.     Requires an always online connection for the majority of single player activities. I didn't pay $90 to load up the game only to see that their servers are down and you can't do anything. On top of that you've got a heavily skewed in game economy that is pushing you to do micro transactions to purchase more cars/content. Irritating to say the least.

    Total rug pull. Not able to access single player game if the server is offline. On top of extremely aggressive MTX and hostility towards its players. Sony denied my refund even I didn't download the game. The crime was I pre-ordered and its "past 14 days". So glad that Sony is so friendly towards their customers. Don't ever pre-order or buy digital from Sony because they will screw you.

    Predatory micro transaction system makes it feel like a mobile game. Lowering race payouts to force micro transactions, and getting the best cars in the game takes literally 20-30 hours of doing nothing but playing. It's a joke.

I mowed lawns, I washed cars, I shoveled snow, I mulched, I weeded, with one singular purpose. I wanted to play Gran Turismo 3. I wanted to be able to get a feeling of all those cars I spent hundreds of hoursI can't say anything that hasn't been said dozens of times, but I'll share my thoughts nonetheless. I wanted to play Gran Turismo 3. I wanted to be able to get a feeling of all those cars I spent hundreds of hours dreaming about. When I finally got the game, it was everything I wanted it to be. It was everything I thought a game could be. I did all the licenses. I spent hours agonizing over tune decisions and grind strategies. I ran the Clubman Cup so so so so so many times. I had the ludicrously overpowered Pikes Peak Escudo. I ran endurance races fully in A Spec because I got so much genuine joy and satisfaction from finishing a long race. I felt like my heroes on TV at LeMans. I felt *immersed*. I know what doesn't feel immersive. It doesn't feel immersive to drive each car for maybe 12 minutes. Throwing in enough upgrades to blow the doors off the field, because how else are you going to cover a 45 second gap *in two laps of a 2 mile course*. How is passing 11 cars and like they're on lawn mowers The Real Driving Simulator? How on earth could they possibly have come to the conclusion that this is the best concept for Every . Single. Race. Every race. Every single one. It doesn't make sense. It feels willfully ignorant and deliberate to have absolutely no acknowledgement of any series races at all. Nevermind all the mtx. Nevermind the inability to sell cars. Nevermind the credit nerfing. Nevermind the 'real life car pricing' that says a Honda s2000 costs *a hundred thousand dollars*. Nevermind that a roulette 'prize' can be the chance to spend *fourty real dollars on one car*. Let's say the game gets a free pass on absolutely every single one of those things. And let's pretend those are every single one of the shortcomings. Let's set all those examples aside. The fact that a fully fledged, numbered Gran Turismo game. A game that took *nine years of development* to release, and the closest thing to a career mode has you changing cars LITERALLY every 12 minutes. It's just inexcusable. Unfortunately there is not enough to separate this from GT sport and you might as well save your money until a steep discount not only to save your own wallet but to send a message to polyphony and Sony.     Pay to win, the amount of grinding that is required to just get one super car is more than most RPGs. Microtransactions to the tune of roughly 200 US dollars just to get enough in game credit to buy the McLaren F1...yeah no thanks.

    i work 6 days a week. the game is online only. if the servers go down i cant play the game for an entire week. terrible business practice, i just want to play the damn game. the gameplay is great. but i payed $90AUD for a paperweight.

    I have zero problems with microtransactions in a game like this, SO LONG AS it doesn't impact the game negatively. Unfortunately, they set earnings in this game insanely low to push you toward them.

    Bait and switch from Polyphony and their micro transactions. Thought I did everything right not pre-ordering and waiting for reviews and gameplay. Unfortunately my last GT game. Switching over to ACC or iRacing ($13 for BOTH right now, minus sub cost for iR) since I also play PC. What a scam/shame.

Some cars can only be purchased with an invitation, and that invitation expires!! You'd have to run 60-70 races to earn enough to pay for that car OR pay $30 to $40 real money to buy that one car.

    - Realistic graphic, physics, sound. Probably the most realistic driving game you can get on market.
    - Scapes mode made me want to start learning photography. - The cafe menu ... well treat it as a long~ tutorial and it's fine. Gives you some directions to go in the early game. - Lessons on car history. The game's full of fun facts to know. The bad: - Clunky as useless    The good:
    - Realistic graphic, physics, sound. Probably the most realistic driving game you can get on market.
    - Scapes mode made me want to start learning photography.

    The bad:
    - Clunky as useless dialogue/conversations with NPC. In the early game some NPCs would give you helpful advices about cars & circuits. But as it gets into mid and late game most npc dialogues became literally rubbish ("I really like xxx car!" "I will be competing in this xxx! It's fast!" ... ya, as if I care).

    The Terrible:
    - Microtransactions. And the nerf to credit rewards.

    Microtransactions for credits & cars would be a totally acceptable business model for f2p games, but absolutely NOT for a FULL PRICED game like GT7.

    Credits are already hard to come by in game, and on top of that they slashed the credit rewards for the most efficient races. AND even on top of that they release a letter claiming they did it because they "don't want players to mechanically repeat races."

    WTF? How does nerfing rewards solve the problem? If I had to mechanically repeat 100 races to get a certain car, after the nerf I have to repeat 200~1000 races to get the same car. Tell me how's that not mechanical now??

    In the same letter they mentioned they want to tie in-game car prices to real world prices to reflect the cars' rarity -- that's another WTF.
    Dude, most of us will NEVER get our hands on a Ferrari or Lamborghini or a legendary racing car, and that's exactly the reason we buy GT so we can have a taste of driving it in this "real driving simulator"!!
    "Real world PRICE simulator" is NOT called for, it's not what ppl buy GT for.

    - The roulette tickets
    The visual effect (roulette process) is an utter waste of precious gaming time, and the rewards are often ridiculously meh or USELESS (e.g. tuning parts for cars that you'll never buy).
    I'd rather you just give us a fixed amount of credit and take away that RNG factor.

    TL;DR

    - A wonderful game, but ruined by a greedy & malicious business model / management. SIE / PD please stop implementing this disgusting, EA-like microtransactions-everything business model. It may make you money, but it destroys your reputation and gamers' trust in you.    … Expand

    I started playing racing games because of GT2, and for me, GT3 was the pinnacle of racing game glory at the time. But then other titles got better, more accurate car sounds, better driving dynamics...etc. However, GT7 got me excited again after a decade of Forza, Need for Speed, and Assetto Cordsa. I was pleased when it went live and the graphics were as amazing as it promised, the soundI started playing racing games because of GT2, and for me, GT3 was the pinnacle of racing game glory at the time. I was pleased when it went live and the graphics were as amazing as it promised, the sound of each individual car was realistic, you can hear the Vtec kick in as the S2000 hits high rpms. The modification function was ok, don't really get why in some vehicles you can only install a front and side skirts but zero rear diffuser options? But the general experience was good and I was pretty happy and excited. However, the longer than expected update duration knocked me out of my excitement I gotta say. And after seeing the details of the update, it all made sense to me, why I was unable to sell my extra Honda Civic to make earn some credits, and why the legendary cars were so expensive, it is disgusting. I'm very disappointed and after a decade of waiting, I felt like I was lured into this web of deceit that aims to pressure me into using their micro-transaction system to save some valuable time. If I want to grind for hundreds of hours and suffers the finanical burden of paying for a car with lots of money, I much rather do that in real life. Video games should be where I can do that with ease and live out my fantasy.… Expand

    This is a shame, waiting for a game more then a year and at the end i find my self with GT sport remastered with a lot of micro transactions, cars are so expensive and we have to bu some expensive ones to get the platine, I'm sorry but it's over with me and playstation they treat the fans like garbage

    I don't see how the developers thinks it's okay to sell a game for £70 and then nerf the credit payouts (which was already a hard enough grind) all because they want to get more money in their pocket.     What a dirty move, release the game. Then after all the reviews are in introduce micro transactions and screw your fans by reducing the amount you can earn from races…. Not to mention the always online single player! You guys have ruined one of my favourite series!

    Polyphony/Sony are being unfair to gamers, they gave out review copies before updating the microtransactions in the final game, hence the reviewers were rating a slightly altered game which favoured the reviews, now the game works similar to a mobile game where it's heavily dependent on the game credits and microtransactions to progress!!.

It pains me to give such a good game a low score, but the underhand tactics they have done to push you into buying Microtransactions is deplorable. I say Micro bitterly, as they are no such thing. To buy all the cars in the Brand Central Dealership would cost the player £1210 if buying MTX, and that isn't taking into account the Extortionate cost of the cars in the Legendary Dealership that will set you back well over £100. Then they go and reduce the actual in game credits even further with the latest patch making it nigh on impossible to be able to save up enough credits without making this game your full time job.… Expand

    I bought this game for 70$ and have now to buy cars for around 200$ or to drive 2 weeks/8 hours to get this car. Sad that a refund is not possible.
    Also bad that I cannot continue in offline mode.

Really good game, but as a player from GT1, it's unbelievable that they raised the price for cars and reduced dramatically the winning money for races so you are forced to buy for extra real money virtual cars. This is really really bad, above all for someone that in GT6 and GT Sport have them all already, and bought the 25th anniversary edition. This is a reason to stop playing and go back to GT Sport.… Expand

I do. not want to spend my afternoons farming in a racing sim and they can take a running jump if they think I am going to pay to buy in game cars with real money. Not fun, not right. I just wish I had realised this before purchasing it.

    Impossible to obtain some epic cars for casual players. It's not even about skill. Just requires endless grinds to earn money. Or of course buy credits through micro transactions. Although I would't classify these as micro transactions. Might as well head to a bank and apply for an actual car loan to buy cars in game. I'll go back to enjoy Forza Horizon 5. Thanks

For £70 I expect a full complete package, not to then be aggressively milked of my wages to play with the cars I expected to be able to earn through normal gameplay. Sucks coz I really wanted to be the first among my friends to buy ps5 and to invite them for a race...

It is simply above par from a gameplay point of view and marvelous in everything it does. However, I am going to recommend that you don't spend any money on this and here is why.

    If you have limited time, you will not be rewarded at all for placing what little time you have as an investment into this game. There is a car scarcity, so they are reflective of real world prices (which at times can be outrageous). So, if you like to collect all the cars it is a hard pass. The campaign is incredibly short, as are the missions, and the license tests. There is a disturbing lack of content in Gran Turismo 7 and it suffers greatly due to this absence. Content, meaning cars, races, campaign, series, and events. This is compounded by all of the single player content that is locked if the servers are offline. The last outage spanned thirty-two hours, shortly after launch, with absolutely no feedback from the developers to the consumers. Inexcusable, really. It is truly a disappointment to write this after almost a decade of waiting for this game to come out, especially after all the gameplay improvements and additions.

    Lastly, I just want to say that I am disappointed in Polyphony Digital. After a long run of very successful games in the series, fan dedication, and support overall for such a classy, innovative, and inspiring racing simulation, that they would be even more predatory in their pursuits. Firstly, they left the store out of the review copies, which would have shown their practices to be predatory, and have a negative impact to the image of the game. With all the events of the past two years in mind, you will spend no less (if you are very very lucky) than eight hundred dollars to buy one PlayStation 5 and a copy of Gran Turismo 7. To add insult to an already agonizing injury, they would like to cut the prizes that you receive for winning races, and entice you into spending more money out of your pocket on microtransactions to buy a digital car in a video game. The greed shown here is astounding, to say the least. Not only that, but I am sure that in the future, you will have to pay for the learning AI. I have seen mention of this, I cannot remember where, but I am sure it is searchable if I had more time right now to find it.

    After purchasing seven main entries and GT Sport, unless there is a turn around from an ethics standpoint, I can not justify buying another game from this developer, or recommend anyone else to for that matter.     Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
