    I'll try and give a somewhat honest review of the game. Graphics are really good, especially when during replays and scapes photos. The micro transactions aren't terrible as I understand costs are now higher than ever and these things are kinda necessary for continued content for the life of the game. The removal of selling gift cars though as not surprising is a pretty terrible move forcing people to either grind extensively or pay real money for in game credits to purchase cars which wasn't a deal breaker for me as race rewards still weren't that bad but the recent update reducing all the race rewards is just embarrassing and needs to be called out. Polyphony needs to get back the the roots of the GT series and if they do need funding for future content it should be done in the way of paid DLC and not micro transactions.… Expand

    Lowering the payouts two weeks after the release after all the outlets reviewed the game and gave it favourable scores is just not right. And this is only one of the problems here, other being requirement to be always online “to stop people from cheating”, but real reason being selling as much micro transactions to us as they can.     Another player displeased with the game's policies. Always on prevents the player from playing if there is maintenance on the server, it was the case a few days ago that took about 24 hours.
    And then the difficulty they put in the last updates to earn credits, forcing the player to invest in microtransactions.
    Being a paid game, I find Polygon's position deplorable.

    The game play and graphics are great. Disappointed with the selection of cars that you don't have to grind much for. GT Sport does seem like a better option when it comes to these micro-transactions. How could they increase the cost of these cars by such a ridiculous amount?!     Polyphony Digital has destroyed GT 7 and their reputation by making it:
    1. Impossible to win, even at the easiest setting - I have been playing GT Sports for the past 2 years and I have won Gold in all the Lessons and all the races that I chose to play in.
    2. The PP Points are misleading and does not reflect the best car for the particular race making it impossible to win certain races.    Polyphony Digital has destroyed GT 7 and their reputation by making it:

Played well (sure the always online part isn't ideal) I thought for my money it was as close to the originals(1 and 2) as it had been. Hit me with that nostalgic feeling while also feeling like a true next Gen.

    Updates ruined this game. and Polyphony isn't done yet.

    Cars cost 3X-4X the amount of previous GT games. You either grind for 10+ hours to get premium cars or start paying the exorbitant micro transaction fees to get them. You have to be connected to the internet to play in single player mode and if Polyphony servers go down for 30+ hours you're screwed! Game is a rip off.

    1 - No microtransactions to buy cars or anything 2 - More cars 3 - Open world in many countrys(Mexico Usa Australia and more)
    4 - No online all time

    For being deemed "The Real Driving Simulator", there are A LOT of overlooks in the physics model. Oversteer is almost uncontrollable, unlike in a real car. Momentum transfer is horrid. Not worth $10, let alone the $70.

    I got this game to be able to drive cars I’ll never be able to afford. With update 1.08 they made it so that I’ll never be able to afford it in the game as well.

    The economy is not fun, the roulette hits on 5k MUCH more than the odds suggest, AI is surprisingly dumb, offline mode too limited, and the push up spend real money is far too strong and cheapens any sense of accomplishment.

It looked good for the critics, after which the basic economy of the game was completely overhauled into bringing ACTUAL MONEY into the game. The critics reviewed one game, and everyone else got the other one. It is incredibly saddening that not even video games are safe from investor/speculator greed, and that Mr. Yamauchi thinks James or Cameron Glickenhaus is the average Gran Turismo player. I can hardly believe that the working class could be priced out of A VIDEO GAME, yet here we are... Unless Sony/Polyphony Digital/Kaz actually starts listening to its players, this surely a sign as any that Gran Turismo will end here, when hubris allows its creators to defend such blighted tactics. KazYam fiddles while his Rome burns, I guess? Looks like my 25 years of playing games in the franchise have given me the same brutal end as a nasty divorce.     Finished the game in 4 days after release date, paid a lot for the deluxe edition for nothing actually. Really disappointed you can finish the game this fast. Have to drive forever now with microtransactions just to make money to buy one car or to upgrade one car. Graphics is brilliant but thats all, still playing GT Sport and preferring GT Sport.     the obligation to be connected to the internet to play SOLO also bothers me. I don't support this kind of thing, it will be my last GT

    If you want a racing game buy Assetto Corsa. This is an overtaking simulator. No qualifying just rolling starts in 95% of the races. Start 30 or so seconds behind first place and a mad dash to come first. That's not racing. The ai is awful will do anything to stay on the racing line even spinning you out!

    Then you have the transactions. They are not micro transactions £20 is not micro.    If you want a racing game buy Assetto Corsa. This is an overtaking simulator. Spend £70 on a game and then there are transactions. This isn't ea this is Sony and pd money grabbing. The game itself is gt sport 2 not Gran Turismo. Added a few licenses and the cafe is linear and not even finished. So once you've finished all the overtaking what's next? The roulette is pathetic. You have a 1 in 5 chance of winning a car. The odds are more like 25 to 1 of winning a car. I get 5000 credits which is pathetic.

    They were giving out refunds for cyberpunk 2077, they need to give refunds for this unfinished mess.    … Expand

    But I have to say how disappointed I am of GT7.
    This game is no simulation. MR cars (especially sport cars) are very unstable, almost impossible to setup correctly. They are snappy and way to oversteery in high speed corners. Open wheels have way to much grip in slow corners. AI is dumb, there is no avoiding contact, they    I play GT since GT1. This franchise made me love SimRacing.

Is this serious? Earning 52K per race, it will take me a week to buy this car, obviously this is to sell the micro transactions, I will not buy! Never! This is nonsense. The one thing that sony allways had over xbox is exclusives, now they are starting to mess up their exclusives.     I am not one to join on review bombs but the economy of this game just ruins the experience. There is a very good racing game in here, but the economy robs the game of any fun or enjoyment. It feels like I am being swindled and if PSN supported refunds I would request one immediately.

    I actually enjoy the racing, apart from everything being grid start. Micro transactions are forced upon you by not allowing you to accumulate wealth when following the menus as the game leads you to do.
    Furthermore, you can't even sell cars that you don't want. HELLO I want to race not collect cars like they are pokemon!!!

While the underlying driving experience is excellent, the absolutely atrocious MTX practices and Kaz's continued delusion that the best way to honour legendary cars is by making them unobtainable in game without hours and hours of repetitive grind or paying for MTX isAs a life-long fan of the Gran Turismo series, it saddens me to witness the desecration of the storied franchise with GT7. While the underlying driving experience is excellent, the absolutely atrocious MTX practices and Kaz's continued delusion that the best way to honour legendary cars is by making them unobtainable in game without hours and hours of repetitive grind or paying for MTX is destroying the game and the series' reputation. For example, the McLaren F1 is available in the Legendary Dealer for only a few days, but costs 18.5m credits. This equates to about 21 hours of grind or paying $185US. Ridiculous. These are the worst MTX tactics I have ever seen. The game is also crippled by a bland, unfinished single player mode, baffling UI design choices and the always-online requirements. Online modes are almost unplayable with current server instability.

    It truly pains me to say as a huge GT series fan, GT7 is not worth playing.    … Expand

After playing a variety of titles such as sims like iRacing and arcade styler like F1 titles, I realized that I am more of a casual arcade racer even after spending $$$ in sim racing equipment. I have heard so much for the Gran Turismo series, so I decided to buy a PS5, GT7 pre-order, and a new Fanatec DD pro (since my more-than-satisfactory TM TC PCI've been doing sim racing for years.     If you want macro transactions to be included, don't charge $70 for the base price!!!!

    This switch and bait update made this game "Macro" transaction focused. I already spent $97 (after tax) for the founder edition. They cut race rewards, took away the ability to sell cars, and made legendary cars so expensive. Now if I want to earn credits, it will be more of a grind than iRacing unless I want to just fork out money over and over!

    Shame on me for trusting the Gran Turismo name, pre-ordering this game, and spending the money to go towards a more "casual" sim racing experience. Completely back fired!    … Expand

    I've been a fan of these games since I was a kid but I think this about does it for me. It all started off so well until we were hit with ridiculously inflated microtransactions. Not to mention that it's an online only game.... I can't get my $100 back but trust me I wont be spending any time doing weeks and weeks of excessive grinding with little reward.

    However, there other annoying issues: Much of the car selection is direct carry over from previous games and it’s missing key supercars cars like: 918 spyder, p1, speedtail, 720s, 765lt, plaid, lfa, senna, 812, gt2rs, 911 turbo s & more. Most sportscars and supercars are dated with few current gen ones so they can reuse assets from previous games shamelessly. Despite omitting key real cars, there’s a number of fake cars with ridiculous impossible specifications really degrading the institution of simulation it tries to achieve. Drag racing did not make a return despite what they said. You can no longer get 2 player replays from the race screen. The race your garage car does not allow you to select specific garage cars. Ray tracing is only available in replays. Water puddle animations are really low budget and disturbing which contrasts an otherwise stellar presentation notably.    … Expand

    Fan des Gran Tourismo depuis la première heure, j’ai vraiment envie de vomir sur cette version « service » qui pousse clairement à sortir sa carte bleu après avoir payé 80 euros. Pas de course Gr1 ni Gr2 à part en Arcade avec des sommes dérisoires à gagner. PlayStation studios sont tellement décevants dernièrement!

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
