    Some of the most atrocious micro transactions I’ve ever seen in a video game. Some cars can cost anywhere from 10-20 million credits which is extremely unrealistic to grind for, especially for a single car. So if you don’t wanna grind you’d have to spend $20 just for 2,000,000 credits which would make a 20,000,000 credit car $200 in real world money…. Absolutely disgusting.     Dont bother buying it. It wont work whilst the servers are down.

    Its an ok game to play but whilst being online is a requirement for single player, the score stays a zero.

    Sorry PD, you darn **** this one right up.

    Game totally geared around forcing the player in to micro transactions to get anywhere in the game. Payouts from races are so low and prices for cars so high that GT7 would need to be your full time job to purchase any of the higher end vehicles

    I uninstalled Gran Turismo 7 and went back to GT Sport. GT7 is a scam. Literally the worst GT yet. Too bad they'll oneday switch the servers off for GT Sport. If GT7 isn't better than Sport by then, I'll be done with the series a whole. Thanks for wasting my money. The Battlefield 2042 of racing games.

    What a shame this game has turned out to be. I actually really enjoyed the cafe mode and compared to gt sport, this game has a ton to offer. The unfortunate thing is that the microtransactions are ruining the experience at this point. End game cars are ridiculously expensive and the amount of credits needed to acquire these cars take way to long to earn through normal play. The rouletteWhat a shame this game has turned out to be.     I bought PS5 for this game and now I regret.

    Recent economics changes and explaination from Polyphony director are making this game a total scam. This is totally unacceptable!

    I am a long time fan of the Gran Turismo series and was really looking forward to this game. Sadly a lot of the charm of the early games is not there and a lot of negative modern game practices (microtransactions despite high initial cost, requirement to always be online even for single player despite shaky servers etc) are prevalent.     I was a huge fan of GT 1-4 and when I read how GT7 was going to bring back those days I never had second thoughts pre ordering this game, how wrong I was and now feeling like I've been scammed by then one game developer I had highest hopes for. This bait and switch, predatory tactic is the worst I have encountered. probably on par with cyberpunk fiasco. shame on Sony and PD!

    Ce qui ne va pas : *obligation d'etre connecté pour jouer en solo . C'est incomprehensible mais bon pourquoi pas. Sauf que les serveurs sont en maintenant depuis 24h et on ne peux pas jouer .... GranTurismo has always been playable offline in single player, now those who buy the physical copy are practically useless, even for collecting purposes. On top of that they nerfed the credits you earn and the have always online for ALL the modes so if the servers are down you basically can only play the stupid music mode.     But i cannot give this game more than a 0. Fan of gran turismo series and always in love with Le Mans cars, in this game, it's a big problem if you're not rich in real life. They took down the amounts of credit of the only race that can give you the opportunity to purchase the cars of your dream. Microtransactions    The game is good and i had so much fun on it. Graphics are very well.

    But i cannot give this game more than a 0. Fan of gran turismo series and always in love with Le Mans cars, in this game, it's a big problem if you're not rich in real life. They took down the amounts of credit of the only race that can give you the opportunity to purchase the cars of your dream. Microtransactions cost are very high, 2 million credits for 20$, so a car costing 12 million cost you 120$.

    And i need to speak of the updates too. Update 1.06 give us a lot of problem, impossibile to do some mission or licence because they put wrong tires on it and we remain a whole week with this problem. Update 1.07 is the worst update i ever see in my life. Updating a game for me mean to make the game better. But they decide to do the opposite. You cannot play the game anymore because the servers are down for maintenance from yesterday morning and you know that when the game will be playable, you will not have the opportunity to earn a decent amount of credits to purchase the cars you love unless you can play all day 10 hours.

    Internet connection required for single player. Unbalanced in game credit earning. Cost of in game assets are way over priced. Most of the game is locked behind a paywall. Either grind to earn minimal credits to play the game, or take out your credit card for micro transactions.

    Not playable due to online obligation. Reducing the credits and making so many ads for MicroTxns is a disgrace. Do not buy, get your refund and let them know they will not get through with this. Last GT for me.

    Generally a good game, but the demanded always on system totally ruines it. We now have server problems for the past 24 hours. You can play the arcade mode, but you can‘t earn credits, nor exp. You can‘t make progress in the story races or use your own cars.

    Servers down for maintenance for numerous hours when I just want to play single player, an abhorrrent display of microtransactions and loot boxes and very lacking single player content in general. The game itself is great, fantastic driving and design, but these issues need to be fixed asap or the game is doomed for me.

    The game has been down for 30 hours. You also lower the credit rewards, add in microtransactions, and make the expensive cars unreachable Shame on you guys. I honestly want a refund. I would guess others feel the same.

    It’s really unacceptable of Polyphony to make changes to the amount of credits being given for races when they also sell in game money. It’s just as scummy that they made the game have to connect online and then the servers are done for most of a day.

    This is a just a polished copy of GT Sport released a few years ago with substandard online play. The game is focused on maximizing micro-transaction and they have purposely nerfed popular money grinding races in the release version of the game so that the payouts are low.     Give engine swaps, give 6 speed transmissions to all the cars, give some more cameras to replay, give the photos we take to our pc, at 4K HDR resolution. Respect the gamers of your titles PD. And please Mr Kazunori Yamauchi, you were a race driver, give more realism to your game.    … Expand

GT7 is basically a carbon copy of GT Sport, but now they pretty much force you to spend real money for cars. I remember when a 24 hour endurance race in GT4 used to reward with near 1M credits.     Still not good. In many ways it's worse. The idiotic BoP daily races contradict the notion that this game is a real race simulator. So in real races, I'm not allowed to alter my camber? Or my wing settings? Or my gear ratios? GTFO. On top of that, I can't even play the game that I paid over one hundred dollars for, offline?     Total focus on microtransaktions. The new update reduced the rewards and made it even worse. You always have to be online, even if you only play singleplayer. When the server is down you cant play.
    No carrer mode, only a Café which is a joke.
    The game is very short, you are done with it after a weekend.
    I am playing Gran Turismo since GT 1. But this was my last one...

    Do a favor to yourself and don't buy this garbage micro transaction mobile game. By the way, it's always online.. So if the servers are down you can't even play offline modes. Makes sense. I already regret spending my hard earned 70€ on this... Never again.

    I've played GT since the beginning, there is no question this game tarnishes the franchise name. In addition to finishing all the previous GT's, I'm done with menu books, most of the missions, and golds in most of the license tests in GT7. I consider myself a veteran and proficient GT'er. Two weeks ago I never envisioned myself creating an account in order to post a review, much lessI've played GT since the beginning, there is no question this game tarnishes the franchise name. In addition to finishing all the previous GT's, I'm done with menu books, most of the missions, and golds in most of the license tests in GT7. I consider myself a veteran and proficient GT'er. Two weeks ago I never envisioned myself creating an account in order to post a review, much less posting this one, but PD screwed this game up so much that I felt it had to be done.

    Simple fact of the matter is they want you to pay real money for game cars in addition to purchasing the game (which isn't even finished). The entire structure from the 3 places to purchase cars to the minuscule payouts for race wins is meant to drive you to so called "micro transactions". What is that anyway? If I spend $20 on beer, I don't consider that a micro transaction. They should call them multi-transactions, as that is what they are truly hoping for... you re-upping your credits anytime a used car that you want finds its way into a dealership.

    Other complaints include a horrible physics engine for the wheel/pedal vs the controller. Compared to Sport, this is a huge step backwards. I'm always faster with a controller, but some things are now simply undoable with a wheel/pedal setup. And along with a complaint about a lack of grip... why is there so much rain? Yeah, it looks great, but it seriously decreases the fun of a lot of races, I mean a lot of races. Far too many races with rain at some point. It isn't fun, just pure frustration (especially if you using a wheel/pedal).

    The game looks great, but I have no doubt that it suffers some from the decision to be PS4 compatible. That said, if you bought a PS5 just to play this game, you'd probably be a little more bitter about it. The only real step forward that I've found is in body kits. Lots of new options here, including the removal of wings (thank you!!!), though it still costs you credits (aka real money in PD/Sony minds).

    I want to love this game, and I hope in time that some issues are resolved to the point where I'd recommend it to the average gamer. BUT right now, I don't see a noobie to the franchise enjoying the title. Finish the game, increase the race payouts (all of them if you really don't want us to grind the same car and track all of the time), and get the handling back to something playable for wheel/pedals, until then I'll still make my daily workout in Sport, and have more fun doing it than anything I have left in GT7.    … Expand

    Tons of microtransactions. Every "Roulette" ticket I've gotten so far has been literally the lowest payout possible. Cars cost an unrealistic amount compared to race rewards. Plus the story of the game is insufferable. Racing mechanics and car customization/selection are the only highlights.

    I've been playing this series for the last 25 years I love it, I can turn a blind eye to so many little flaws it has but the one thing I can not ignore is the fact that it requires online connectivity to play 99% of the content. This is the last time I preorder anything related to PlayStation ever

    This is an online game, you can't play it when the server is in maintenance.

    Please be aware of microtransactions since they're cutting the in-game rewards, or you'll need to farm money to buy new cars.

    Take Honda, Mazda, Audi and Ferrari cars as example. They have 45 cars, total value is 28,352,040, comes to an average of 630,045 each car. Let's say there are 420 cars? Then a total value of 264,617,040. A 4-minute Goodwood used to give 35,000 cr, simple math, thats 7561 Goodwood race wins = 30,244 minutes = 504 hours. With the new payout (12,000 cr), thats 22,052 Goodwood race wins = 88,208 minutes = 1,470 hours. (I triple checked my math)

    But don't forget the average value of 630,045 is not accurate at all, there are tons of cars north of 1,000,000 cr and did you see a McLaren F1 '94 was 18,500,000?
    (I did not account for the car upgrades which is pretty pricy in some sense)

    Then update 1.8 came out after 32 hours of downtime - because you can’t play any aspects of the main game if the servers are down - they nerfed the credits for pretty much all the race wins - making any serious supercars unavailable unless you either spend lots of extra monies OR grind the same races again and again, making you ultimately hate those races, as you’ve played them not for the joy of racing, but for the pain of building up credits.

    This was a strategic move for driving more revenue, that has ultimately back-fired in a horrendous way.

    It's a overpriced mix up from gt4 and gts with very bad failures totaly old animations for even older features lobby mode is a disaster in several ways and I may ask where are new cars ? How ist it possible that we don't have actual gr.3 cars ?

    Game quality is great, great level of detail, but once you’ve completed the licenses, missions and menu books there is no content… credit progression for early game is fine, late game it’s incredibly slow, there are a lot of legendary cars available from 3mil credits upwards to 18.5m credits.     The basis is there, just add more races and more ways to earn credits, we love a grind, but this is just crazy and seems a pointless attempt at selling MTX…

    Added to that, when the game was offline for 32 hrs, only the arcade races and the music rally where playable… nothing single player related campaign could be played. Due to the always online feature.. and besides a “We’re sorry” no clear explanation, updates or compensation for the downtime.


    Its sad to see, I love the series and the early grind, but once the single player menu is done, the game feels empty… give us more races, Bspec and more ways to earn credits.

    And ofc, let us sell cars or tuning items for cars we don’t own, or don’t wanna own in the near future.    … Expand

    I bought the game on day one since I am a long-term fan of the GT series and I am seriously upset with the direction taken by Polyphony.

    First of all - let me play offline. Not this joke of a demo.
    The second thing - what the hell is going on with the car prices? Do you seriously think I am going to buy credits on top of a $70 game?

    I have been waiting for a gran turismo game for years, even since sport I anticipated what gran turismo 7 would look like, however microtransactions? Always online needed? Even UPDATING the game to make payouts LOWER??? I still love the game but I cannot give any score due to these issues, this most likely isn't Yamuchis fault aswelk, it smells of sony corporatism and being out of touch

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
