    I purchased a PS5 for this game alone and was really let down by it. I feel it would take me weeks or months to even earn one if the top cars. Also felt very dated for a PS5 game.

    How get Gamer to jump on X-Box.
    Step 1. Ruin your own IP!
    Step 2 Play stupid, and hope no one knows.
    Step 3 Make the game require an internet connection for offline single player.
    Step 4 Repeat Step 1.
    I'm surprise they don't make people use credit to pump gas into the game car.

    I kinda feel disgusted for even buying this game now, the fact that they not only have an always online EVEN if you are playing single-player but also that they made it take even longer to earn credits to buy cars which would further put pressure on how long a player can resist just buying it with real money. They actually added an update to make it take longer to earn credits.     Beware, this is not the game you grew up with. I was excited to play this when I saw all the reviews. However it is a constant grind and the races hardly pay anything at all. The always online is a definite problem as seen by the servers being down and not being able to play a $60 game. Microtransactions ruined this title.     I have played every Gran Turismo title since Playstation 1 and have enjoyed almost every single entry until GT7. I was honestly really enjoying the game while overlooking some glaring issues, which are now made even worse with ridiculous micro-transactions, and now unplayable because of maintenance and being always online. If this isn't fixed, I'm trading in this game immediately andI have played every Gran Turismo title since Playstation 1 and have enjoyed almost every single entry until GT7.     While the game looks and plays fantastic something feels off within the first few hours rewards slow down cars get way more expensive and the grind sets in then you see how much they are charging for credits as micro-transactions.

    This was my first GT game since the original as a kid and after being spoiled with all other series this was just disappointing for a full price game. Cars can cost almost half the price of the game and they recently patched the game to increase the grind to make it harder to unlock cars without spending real money. Scummy practices at their best.     Pulling a fast one, to make more money, like xbox did with FM7, lets hope they reverse it too like xbox did. And they clearly held back tons of cars to make them appoear as DLC for more money, They are missing Years worth of recent models of cars, It is just sad.

    GT6 was a favorite of mine but GT7 is really bad. I don't understand how they could take a really good game and make it so much worse. Obviously the micro-transactions are a big part of the issue, but definitely not all of it. I would recommend staying away from this title for awhile.

    Driving is ok, or it would be if you could play the game when you want to, wich you can't since even the solo is behind an online DRM and not available when server are down. Also the game, sold full price, has free to play mechanics asking you to grind indefinitely to buy just about any car... DISAPOINTING, a huge step back for playstation exclusives

    For the price paid - a $10 increase over the long-standard $60 - you deserve a complete game with all content available through reasonable, achievable, non-frustrating progression that does NOT encourage microtransactions. In fact, there shouldn't be ANY microtransactions for cars themselves (or credits needed to buy them).     De base el juego podría tener su público, ya que aporta cosas interesantes para los fetichistas de los coches. Más allá de ello se siente un juego desfasado para los tiempos que estamos y lo que se puede esperar de la saga. La gota que colma el vaso es la conexión permanente y los macropagos incluidos en el juego que lo convierten en un pay to win.

    Unfortunately my disc repels water, so it is useless as a coaster which can be the only intended option for a game that doesn't work. Terrible money grab. Everything that you loved about this series is dead. So sad to see another great game die due to greed.

    My favourite Driving game franchise is totally ruined. I waited this game since GT6 (2013). This is just microtransaction filled grindfest. Other than that it is polished copy of GT sport. They have nerfed all possible ways to earn credits in game. You can't sell cars and they reduced the winning prizes in races.

    Forced update, to lower rewards and push for microtransactions? Totally unacceptable. You can't even play offline without updating...
    +Good visuals, -Junks of nonsensical features (carwash?), -Multiplayer (cars with varied range of power).
    On multiplayer I got penalized for been hit by other cars! Multiple times, to be a coincidence.
    No real improvement to GT6, except graphics...

Not a single reviewer had 99% of the single player portion of the game blocked if no active internet connection was provided and there was no free to play monetization present during the review period.

    A mostly single player game, from a series that has been mostly single player focused since its inception, cannot and should not ever have an always online requirement, especially it is implemented with the sole purpose of forcing ludicrous monetization on players who have paid full price for the game. There is no way to play off the disc with the console off-line to earn credits properly as the game locks you out of content unless you are online and up to date to its latest patch. Absolutely unacceptable. I returned my disc for a refund and I am hoping there might be an attorney out there who loves GT and decides to do a class action lawsuit for the dishonest, shady and anti consumer garbage Polyphony and Sony have pulled with this game so they’ll have to rethink continuing with this garbage and going down this path with other games going forward.    … Expand

With good but not perfect graphics ( I think they should have devekop a PS5 Exclusive GT instead of still support PS4), awesome sound, good control (for driving wheels and gamepad!) and alot of stuff to do!     - Physical Copy/Game on Disk is not playable after installation without patches (Useless Copy)
    - OnlineDRM all the time, for all Parts of the game! = SinglePlayer isn't really playable offline.
    - More than 30hours of GT Online Server downtime, short after release (because of a broken patch) ment a complete dead game, no SinglePlayer/Offline gaming ability.
    - Sh..t load of Microtransactions in a Full-Price Title!
    - Game was patched after Release with huge negative changes around Campaign Actions, and Race Events with increased car costs and deacreased Winning Race money to push Microtransactions even more in the focus!

    Many of these things are usually strategic company descisions and not developers faults, so I don't wanna blame everyone about this. I also agree with many comments here. This Game now, with all the relevant and negative changes to the game for Players, feels like (and should be) a free2play title. Instead they wan't to steal your money twice, out of your pocket! Really... SHAME ON YOU!

    Graphics settings are superior mostly on REPLAYS...do You get it? Replays...Ray Tracing so hyped up in presentation is only on replays...

    Realized I can't play the game offline. WTF, always been able to play Gran Turismo offline. Also selling credits?!? I mean come on if I wanted to pay premium price $80 for a game, and only realize by the way you need to pay more for other cars because it's not feasible to get them by just PLAYING THE GAME....

    Good game until 18th March. Post 1.08 update, due to greed of Sony, the grind of the game is useless, you need to swipe the card to buy credits to be able to get the cars that you would like. Already sold the game, dissapointing experience

    This could have been an amazing game if it wasn't for Al the cars being put behind a paywall. Yes you can play the game and gain credits to buy cars, parts etc. however that then becomes an unreasonable grind. Unless you are ready to grind for dozens of hours for cars or don't mind spending real world money for the cars you should steer clear of this game.

    I couldn't put this game down at all for a week straight. After 1.07/1.08 I don't even want to boot it up anymore. Always online was a TERRIBLE choice. Microtransactions was a TERRIBLE choice. GT was always a grind but my god... it was pretty bad before the update. After the update... by far the most grindy GT ever. Or you could pay $200 real money for a single car. Sounds awesome. Thanks.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
