    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Fun parkour movement that can be a little wonky and frustrating due to the first person perspective. Combat is definitely not very layered as it is just 90% melee weapon swinging, just dont get surrounded and overwhelmed and most fights have been a breeze. The combat improves when new abilities are unlocked such as the curb stomp and the awesome big damage drop kick. Seriously, you can wack away with a blade or a hammer but a jump and kick does triple the damage. Decent open world map with endless activities to do. Activities like supply caravans, stores, etc. are repeatable to farm valuables for money or parts for crafting. Crafting system is ok, materials are all over and easy to find. Upgrading the crafting recipes is a real pain in the ass as they require an unreasonable amount of monster tokens, most of which have to be farmed at night and don't have a definite drop rate. Most standard recipes seem to require upwards of 50+ uncommon tokens to upgrade fully, and there are at least 50 recipes to upgrade. A standard play session usually netted me somewhere around 20-25 uncommon tokens, so progress on upgrading has been very slow. Copy and pasted skyrim/Fallout lockpicking system could use an overhaul as it is stale at this point. Lockpicking does not pause the game though which keeps the intensity up if there are enemies nearby or if you are in the dark or in the toxic material. I really enjoyed the nighttime travesal and ticking clock game that you would have to play to stay alive. With only around 5 minutes of survival time when outside of daylight or UV light the early parts of the game were much more of a sturggle to stay alive and reach the goal. By mid to late game I had piled up enough immunity boosters and UV shrooms to basically ignore the mechanic all together, with no shortage of resources in sight. The story has been engaging and eventful, there are almost too many named characters to keep track of and follow, the "choices" within story missions lead to some tough decisions. I ultimately sided and gave the nuetral territory resources to the "survivors" because I wanted to make travesal as easy as possible because I like clearing the map in these open world games. The final boss was a **** that had 4 extremely similar and annoying phases, which included unblockable attacks with no rythm and some instant death areas if you fell off. *SPOILERS* The game really fell off in the late game for me, I'll admit I maybe made some wrong key story choices like letting Hakon die and choosing to save Lawan at the end, I definitely got the "bad" ending which always seems to happen to me during these games, I'll still never get over my witcher 3 ending. In the end everybody but me and lawan died and the entire city exploded due to a rocket strike i chose to let happen. Sheesh.… Expand

The stories, characters, voice acting, graphics, animations, world-building, gameplay, sound effects, music, everything about this game is well done and makes for an overall very fun game that I can't stop playing. 20 hours into it now and see no reason to stop any time soon. Is the game perfect? Not at all, but I give it a 10 anyway because it'sI couldn't be happier with this game.     Techland did it again! If you liked Dying Light 1, this is all that package but elevated to the next level. Parkour is better, combat is better in some aspects, story much improved compared to the first one. To top it all off, the city level design truly makes for a parkour dream. I only encountered minor issues so far that did not break the flow of the game. Playing this game at 60fps isTechland did it again!     This game is definitely a gem of 2022. The plot is not thrilling, but there are highly rated games where it is worse. Graphics are epic, mechanics could be better - but they are ok. The romance of the main character with some woman is missing. The main storyline could be longer, but it's still longer than the messiah of gaming CP2077.

    This game expands literally every aspect of the previous game from parkour, to combat to stealth and even story.     This game expands literally every aspect of the previous game from parkour, to combat to stealth and even story. The parkour has been totally overhauled, some moves have been kept but even better ones have been added. You can run on walls, chain moves easier, jump huge gaps, it feels incredible.

    Combat has seen the addition of blocking, some parkour/fighting moves such as vault kicks and a new more RPG weapons system which doesn't allow for as much creativity as the first game, but it also forces you to use more than just one weapon as you can't just craft another of the same thing.

    Stealth is probably the weakest area of the game but it can be important and is reasonably well done. You have your basic stealth system with tables and tall grass to hide in, but the AI is not stupid and will see you pretty easily, so it's somewhat challenging to be quiet. Maybe you like that challenge, it's not my favorite but it is what it is.

    The story is honestly pretty fantastic. I hear a lot of people aren't into it but I genuinely don't understand why. The choices you make certainly feel pretty important to me, and there are some high stakes moments for sure. I would have to play through again to know how much choices matter but they seem pretty important so far. Aside from that I'm always itching to get to the next story mission, and have to force myself into side quests.

    I say that like it's a bad thing, but the side quests are as good as the story if not better. They have cutscenes of the same quality as the campaign, and often tie into the main quests and in some cases can influence them, which is really interesting. Mostly though they are simple, find someone who is looking for someone else, deliver a weird package for a guy, beat the crap out of zombies with a bat that sends them to the moon, etc. There's a great variety here.

    Finally, the biggest thing this game has added is the loot and crafting system. Techla d clearly wanted to make this game an RPG and they delivered. Now blueprints seem to be a bit harder to get, and once you get them they all suck. But you can upgrade them several times, with craftmasters. You could make upgrading certain tools or mods you use a lot your priority, or try to diversify. Whatever you wish, you will have to hunt special zombies like goons and bolters and others for their trophies. Subsequent upgrades are more expensive and require increasingly more rare parts. Ultimately this is about as good of a game as you will find, and it's really something special. A few bad apples are hung up on performance on PC or language options. It's 2022 after all, you need to find something to complain about or you aren't relevant apparently. Absolutely recommend and hope you found the review helpful!    … Expand

    Basically everything we wanted in DL2 and more. Although the engine sometimes looks abit out dated on next gen hardware it's still a stunning game.

    playing. Games hardly ever hold my attention anymore. Running at a silky smooth 60fps this game plays and looks like a dream to me.     I accidentally became a huge fan of the first game after I realized I replayed it three times. 20 hour DLC included. When the first one came out, there were problems. Each time I came back it was twice as good as the previous time. Dying Light 2 has bugs, but that's it. I love everything about the game already, 15 hours in. It's SO...ambitious. A lot of people worked on this game. Most of you Italian enthusiasts haven't even picked up the game. Stop punishing Techland for doing the best they could. These people had it rough developing this game. They are known for improving their games over time. An Italian language option will probably get worked into the game in a future update or something. But like Jesus Christ guys. I hate the fact that the user score is either stagnant or decreasing. Techland is not a bad company and DL2 is not a bad game. I'm enjoying it a lot actually. Please have some sympathy. Game development is hard it takes a lot of hardwork and dedication.     If you liked the first dying light then you should love this. This has a more RPG feel than the first game. The choices you make do effect the world and environment. Story is solid and graphics are good. loads of places to explore. You could spend hours just looting buildings. A must have for any action RPG fan.

    Another solid entry in the Dying Light series. It improves on almost all aspects of its predecessor without revolutionising anything. If you liked DL1 you'll love Dying Light 2. I believe that some of the small issues as well as 1080p resolution on new generation of consoles take the score down a notch. 8/10 seems fair to me.

    I'm having an absolute blast with this game. Love it, can't wait to see the years of free add-ons like they did with the first one. So happy it came out. I have bugs, yes, but they will be fixed and they aren't game breaking.

    Really like the game play and somewhat enjoy the story. Frames tend to drop mid game but I just can't stop playing. Would maybe recommend people hold up till they patch a couple of things to improve the flow of the game. Overall would recommend for anyone who liked the original

    Playing this on PC with a 3080 and the game runs flawlessly. Everything maxed out I get 110 fps. The game is a lot of fun. Graphics are great, characters are interesting, and the missions are fun!

    Incredible game. 3 days in not a single bug, perfect performance, 4k 30fps as stable as a whistle on my ps5, as a fan of the original this is just such an upgrade. Highly recommended.

    I have only made it to just after getting the binoculars and so far but I am quite impressed with the size and vibrance of the world this time around. The RayTracing and DLSS seem to be well implemented as far as I can tell as it runs great on my 3060Ti at 1440p Ultra RT, DLSS balanced.
    I'm not really playing for the story, so I'm not expecting anything to blow me away on that front. The    I have only made it to just after getting the binoculars and so far but I am quite impressed with the size and vibrance of the world this time around.     amazing game to play with a friend having fun killing zombies trying to find legendary weapons and trying them out the drop kicks xddddddddd god its amazing when you see your co-op friends do it it looks damn funny you see enemies flying. nice skills better parkour smooth gameplay some glitches not that bad the co-op had a problem but got fixed for me . every quest is a new story andamazing game to play with a friend having fun killing zombies trying to find legendary weapons and trying them out the drop kicks xddddddddd god its amazing when you see your co-op friends do it it looks damn funny you see enemies flying. nice skills better parkour smooth gameplay some glitches not that bad the co-op had a problem but got fixed for me . every quest is a new story and characters. amazing action story for real your choices matter some characters died bec of my choices after that happened i really wanted to restart the story and see what will happen if I picked another choice. for a zombie game story its a 9/10 slow pace early 5 hours after that it goes fast gorges open-world you feel freedom in it full of obstacles for parkour you feel the world is just a parkour paradise. people asking for help hearing people die enemies screams amazing atmosfear nice easter eggs. for a zombie game its a 10/10 best open-world zombie game sandbox . just don't forget to play with your friends it will make it better 1000% good night good luck… Expand

    Sorry to see there is now PVP in this one, (took a point off for that) but hopefully that’s coming in a future update. Game looks great on PS5, in performance mode (60 FPS).

    Have yet to come across any bugs that I can tell, nor anything that has stopped my progression in game.

    Dying Light 2 é claramente uma evolução do 1 tanto em fluidez de parku combate com zumbis e humanos e dinâmica na customização de personagem e modificação de armas mas, como em qualquer jogo tem seus problemas técnicos como textura, física etc. Contudo creio que em breve vai melhorar nesse quesito já que a desenvolvedora prometeu suporte durante anos nesse jogo.

    Optimization in this game, very even nothing. I don’t have very good hardware, it’s a little higher than the minimum, but it plays at stable 60 frames, but in the city there were drawdowns up to 40, but this can be pushed to my PC. There are enough bugs in the game, but it can be forgiven, because the game itself was released a couple of days ago (in the same cyberpunk it was much worse), I think there will be much less of them in the near future.
    And if you go with friends, it will become much more interesting and more fun. If you liked the first part, definitely take the second.    … Expand

    This game is breathtakingly beautiful, the sound design evokes emotion as you play the game. You can get lost in this world, in it's beauty in the interesting characters. Holy mackerel the story telling got leveled up a ton between DL1 and this game. I feel like the storys are a little "less hokey" then in the first game. The factions give an interesting dynamic.

    Love the game. Some bugs here and there but nothing as bad as the way the Italians are acting. Which is funny because 99% of their reviews are in English. Get over it you self obsessed Gabba ghouls. I honestly was going to give it an 8 but the whiners made me increase my score.

    Dying Light 2: Stay Human brings all of the basics from the original Dying Light; however, it makes it all better and more fluid. Despite very minor bugs, my play through was very smooth and the only bug I experienced was an audio issue. The color palette and graphics quality brings a new and refreshing environment to the zombie apocalypse. Who ever said that zombie apocalypses looked likeDying Light 2: Stay Human brings all of the basics from the original Dying Light; however, it makes it all better and more fluid. Despite very minor bugs, my play through was very smooth and the only bug I experienced was an audio issue. The color palette and graphics quality brings a new and refreshing environment to the zombie apocalypse. Who ever said that zombie apocalypses looked like nothing but gloom and doom? Combat is more fun and refined with the new blocking and parrying system in addition to being able to mix parkour into combat as well. Stringing attacks together from one opponent to the next makes it fluid but also addicting despite the combat being sort of redundant at times. Parkour is more realistic in terms of movement / fluidity but also insanely fun as you develop new skills and encounter new obstacles throughout the game. Customization and weapon modding has improved with more personalized options of customization for Aiden and his weapons. This is a spoiler free review so I will be very cut and dry with my content review in terms of THE MAIN STORY. The story is a rollercoaster depending on the choices you make. I wish Aiden developed more as a character throughout; however, you will enjoy seeing surrounding characters develop depending on your choices with who you help. Overall, I am pleased with this game. It is immersive and all around a fun experience. With minimal bugs that aren’t detrimental to the entire game, I still enjoyed my experience from beginning to the end of the main story quests. Do not let some reviews turn you away. This is all a matter of opinion including my own but this is something you should experience yourself.… Expand

    This game plays and looks AWESOME. Parkour is smooth and freedom of movement amazes me. It's a pleasure to watch the city and run through it. Personally I love all the small details that were prepared with care, random encounters. This game has also a HUUUGE amount of easter eggs and references to everything.

    This game is so cool. There is no other games with as good gameplay. Parkour, fight and feelings during the game are awesome. I really recomend try this game for everybody.

    Great improvement of ideas from previous game, interesting enough story. If you like the first game - you definitely need this one. Yes of course it is not a next gen, not close, but the impact and feel of movement and impact in fights will give you wonderful emotions.

    Absolutely love the game. The graphics are amazing for the detail of the open world. The sound design is next level (my only suggestion would be the foley cloth sounds are a touch too loud. But that’s the sound designer speaking). The game is fun, the story is interesting and it is beautiful. Not sure what else you could ask for.

    The side quest can be funny, really. But feel a bit off when you‘re on a literally search mission for your sister.

    The combat feels nice and smooth and never had any trouble with it.

    You will face some minor framedrops (approximately 5-10 FPS when moving REALLY fast), but nothing unplayable.

    Overall people need to set their expectations lower and shouldn‘t hope that every game becomes a masterpiece.

    Es un JUEGAZO, pese a haber tenido review bombing por parte de los usuarios (o tal vez sean bots de Sony para allanar el camino a Horizon?j es un juego que mejora en muchísimo al anterior. Jugabilidad de 10, historias secundarias de 11 y más! No es una continuación con mejores gráficos como el de Aloy.. JUEGAZO!!!!

    So I have the PC version with an RTX 3080. This game is incredibly fun, deep, with tons of different encounters. The world, parkour, and the exploration that it brings is easily the coolest part of the game.     The story is not bad. It's actually pretty good, with great set pieces, interesting characters. It's very engaging.

    The choices you make do have an impact on your experience. You literally will have entirely different missions depending on what you choose. There is like ten different paths to take in the middle and 3 endings. This game reminded me of a bethesda game except the gameplay was actually good.

    Don't skip this. Techland brought us a banger, and will continue to update for 5 years.    … Expand

    it's very good title, the best game that came from Poland since Witcher 3. Amazing gameplay, really good story, great graphics and no macaroni dubbing, good job Techland!

    Dying Light 2: Stay Human looks more like a DLC to the first game than a whole new one. This does not mean it is a bad game, but it is not one that you should rush to buy. It looks and feels like you are playing the same Dying Light from years ago, and despite the storytelling being solid and entertaining, it is not enough to justify buying it right now.

    Delivering a huge improvement on the first title, but lacking with new features, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is quite fun, brutal, rewarding and a game of exceptional quality when it comes to the open world. Minor issues still exist here, but Techland successfully manages to live up to the hype surrounding the game.
