    Don't think for one second that people are being harsh on the game. After 26 hours I can confirm that this game is a massive downgrade from the first. You don't feel the tensity of going out, the zombies aren't a threat at all. Combat is insanely boring, traversing the world is an absolute chore, and story is abysmal. I wanted to love this game, and be proud of Techland. This is a pass,Don't think for one second that people are being harsh on the game. After 26 hours I can confirm that this game is a massive downgrade from the first. You don't feel the tensity of going out, the zombies aren't a threat at all. Combat is insanely boring, traversing the world is an absolute chore, and story is abysmal. I wanted to love this game, and be proud of Techland.     Качество квестов ужасно, такое впечатление что делали все на отвали. Нету никакого смысла в выборах(желтые стрелочки с выборами диалогов) только 3 из них работают на концовку, остальные для виду, которые ничего не меняют. Бесполезность большинства навыков убийство бесшумного если враги выше уровня то оно не работает, и это только маленькая часть проблем, не говоря о проблемах с физикой,Качество квестов ужасно, такое впечатление что делали все на отвали.     Game is awful. Can't repair weapons being a bizarre feature. Game crashes more than cyberpunk did for me and this time I'm on a series s. The story itself was boring and made little sense

    To my regret, Techland released an absolutely raw, unfinished product, whose code was written by crooked-handed monkeys (especially in terms of multiplayer, because of which the save of 32+ hours played was lost). This raw PoS still needs a year or two to be grinded / polished. Tons of bugs, mountains of jambs and a poor plot kill the feeling of the game completely.     To our main character is constantly "piss in the eyes", and this moron says "God's dew". This spineless slug is disgusting. I started skipping dialogues when reached FishEye.

    Well, it should be noted the most important thing! The game is very depressing with bunch of "copy-paste" locations! Comrades, this is some kind of freaking joke! A lot of buildings on the roofs is absolute copies, up to the location of lootable items (boxes, bags, etc.). One to one.

    Dark areas, abandoned shops, infected zones and etc were riveted with this COPY-PASTE!

    Mutants in anomalies are always the same types!

    I was hoping to buy the product they advertised in their commercials trailers. But got a downgrade in all game aspects...    … Expand

    I gave this game 5 hours of my time and turned it off because I was so bored. I played the first one to a platinum trophy and enjoyed it, but this is just the same old enemies, same old pointless side quests all dressed up in new clothes (improved graphics). I honestly could not recommend this to anyone.

    So I own a ps5, and I'm able to download the ps5 version with better frame rate and resolution, however if I want to play with my friends that's still on ps4, I need to play the ps4 version of the game and my save data DOES NOT carry over between the 2 versions. Now I'm stuck with the last gen version of the game on my next gen console just to play with friends.

    This game is very boring and poorly optimized. But there is obscene language and jokes about intercourse. A good example of how sequels aren't always better.

    1)В игре нет мелких деталей (которые были в 1 части) вообще. К примеру: стрелы теперь пропадают а не торчат в дереве, Нет капелек воды на камере во время выныривания, отсутствует анимация ныряния с большой высоты,отсутствует анимация ПАДЕНИЙ В ИГРЕ ПРО ПАРКУР!!! Если в 1 части ГГ судорожно и в панике махал руками от страха, то тут он просто летит без какой либо анимации. Это можно продолжать долго но нет смысла, суть ясна.
    2) убита боевка, в игре нет физики тел! ТО ЕСТЬ если ударить зомби в живот он пригинался, в плечо: Он толкался в плечо, и так далее. Так вот тут этого нет! А в 1 части было (недавно зашел и сравнил).
    3)Паркур убит: Гравитация тут работает под какимт непонятным углом, ее тупо нет! ГГ БУКВАЛЬНО во время прыжка зависает в воздухе.
    4)Нет интерактивного окружения с миром к примеру: Вы не можете притянуть зомбака к себе кошкой, или нет открывающихся кошкой вентеляций(как в трейлере) есть только: бутылки копья и кирпичи с балонами. Это все интерактивные объекты.
    5)Сюжет это просто Пи"дец, без комментариев
    6)Вариативности тупо нет, в игре всего 6 концовок 5 из которых друг от друга вообще почти не отличаются.
    7)В игре нет НГ+ (что убивает реиграбельность)
    8)В игре нет эндгейма, вообще.
    9)ОТСУТСТВУЕТ ЛЮБАЯ мотивация начинать игру заново.
    10)В игре на момент редакции НЕТ текстового чата между игроками в сессии :DDDD
    ИТОГ: Игра на 30-40 часов геймплея из которых 20 гринд. Не знакомы с 1 частью? самое время ее купить, а не этот кусок дерьма.
    UPD: Как оказалось в игре используется множество звуков из первой игры, и по возможности буду добавлять какие именно!
    [Звук перелома шеи врагу, Голос во время припадков Эйдена, дропкик, Звук падения на мусорку,Звук зиплайна,Звук включения фонарика,звук залаз по лестнице,звук отмычек,звук ходьбы по мет-объектам, звук"тарана",звук подката,звук переката]

Aiden the main character has gotten knocked out by random people at LEAST 23 times since I started the game. How are we medically enhanced humans that are super strong and resilient yet we can’t block a single punch from ANYONE. It’s pathetic and disgusting. The lighting effects are a joke, especially when there are black outlines. The black outlines makes this game look like a Telltale game. The developers are too greedy and lazy for that. The developers were also cheap and lazy to make actual looting animations. The AI is incredibly stupid. The open world in this game is boring and repetitive. The physics are beyond horrible. There are too many bugs and glitches. The trees look like trash. This game looks and feels like an off-brand Far Cry game.

    The co-op in this game is trash. Too many framerate drops. The greedy developers didn't even bother to make a PvP mode, despite the previous installment having PvP. The developers would rather brag about the game being 500 hours long. It's 500 hours alright, 500 hours of boredom. How about they spend time giving us PvP, instead of 500 hours of meaningless content. I don't recommend this game at all.    … Expand

    The feeling when the previous part was better. Animations were made like by 10$ freelancers. Moreover, why would they do a rpg game about zombie apocalypse?? You can't stealth kill a zombie just because it's 1 level higher than u :d. Deserved 0/10, pathetic game.

Its done the ridiculas effort to "avert the male gaze", like their priestess and savior (Sarkesian Anita) demanded.
    I've seen it before and if there is a pinch of progressive Sjw activism on the surface, then there is a pound lurking below..And that's all well and good,  but what I can't get over or suport is who these developers are..They are people that hate us!, hate us for our sex, skin colour  and consumer practices..They hate us on Twitter, in the forums and in their progressive journalist interviews. They hate us and I will never pay people that hate us ever again.     Not worth the buy, hot buggy mess. over 40 hours of gameplay, 2 corrupted saves. One I am unable to upgrade glider because option is not in the craftmaster store and other save I am unable to claim a windmill due to no interaction option. halting my 100% save.

Я начинал игру три раза , ничего не сохранилось в итоге про*бал около 10ч в пустую . Перезагружал игру , это тоже не помогло. В самом пути к файлу игры кириллицы нет , только латинские буквы.     I don't normally write reviews but this has been bad and Techland can do better. I have tons of bugs from Survivor Sense not wanting to work, enemies falling into the floor on death, a flickering black screen on a regular basis, zombies going from on the ground to instantly standing behind me when I hit them, zombies vanishing when I get close and not being able to redeem preorder itemsI don't normally write reviews but this has been bad and Techland can do better. I have tons of bugs from Survivor Sense not wanting to work, enemies falling into the floor on death, a flickering black screen on a regular basis, zombies going from on the ground to instantly standing behind me when I hit them, zombies vanishing when I get close and not being able to redeem preorder items in game. I only have about 7 hours into the game and had to stop because of the annoyances so who knows what else I could have run into. Then there are the poor decisions in development. I had a quest that said meet people. What it doesn't say is you have to do their side quests to consider them met. Just all around a huge disappointment.… Expand

    I can't believe that coop progression was saved for all the players in DL and it is only saved for the host on DL2.

    Es un juego lamentable...al menos en PS5,no puedo creer que haya gente que realmente lo haya jugado y le de una puntuacion positiva..., tiene 3 modos para elegir, modo rendimiento, resolucion y calidad y solo puedes jugar en modo rendimiento ya que en los otros dos modos funciona a dos frames por hora, en modo rendimiento se ve como un juego de hace 10 años, la historia no hay por dondeEs un juego lamentable...al menos en PS5,no puedo creer que haya gente que realmente lo haya jugado y le de una puntuacion positiva..., tiene 3 modos para elegir, modo rendimiento, resolucion y calidad y solo puedes jugar en modo rendimiento ya que en los otros dos modos funciona a dos frames por hora, en modo rendimiento se ve como un juego de hace 10 años, la historia no hay por donde cogerla, no es nada consecuente con el 1, se han inventado una trama mala y aburrida, cuando dejas de lado todo eso y decides que ya que has pagado 70€ vas a jugarlo e invitas a un amigo a tu partida te das cuenta que no tiene ni crossplay ni cross-gen...es lamentable pero a dia de hoy no se pueden comprar los juegos de lanzamiento, mi recomendacion es que no lo compreis al menos todavia.… Expand

    1080p to get 60FPS on next gen console is a joke. The graphics basically looks like Nintendo Switch in a docked mode. Playing at 30 FPS does not make any sense with that much parkour in the game. Poor graphics optimization and not the best use of system's resources.

    the game plays me despite the various bugs and problems but the thing that makes itself felt the most is the absence of the Italian language of the game that does not make you have fun as you should .... I watch the game at the subtitles. I fell off a building several times just because I was reading the subtitles

    The game is just bad, i don't know why it feel like a downgrade from the first game. In the first game the sound and the movement is so much better, the story in both games are bad but in the DL2 is so much worse. and the hitbox it is like from a joke game from facebook.

    Please wait some time to buy it on a sale.

    The graphics are OK, the sounds are OK, the gameplay..ehh..the story.. what story? It's as generic as it gets. The game is super glitchy and unfinished.     The graphics are OK, the sounds are OK, the gameplay..ehh..the story.. what story? It's as generic as it gets. The game is super glitchy and unfinished. The enemies and friendly NPCs all move around awkwardly and unnaturally and the writing is made by elementary school children.

    Is the game fun? Kind of? As long as you can make fun of it and just follow quests WITH A FRIEND. By yourself? Go play Days Gone or almost any other BETTER open world and/or zombie game.

    I also do NOT understand why devs feel the need to add the work f**k into every sentence either. Good writing requires a bigger dictionary.    … Expand

On PS5, we have uncomfortable PC interface without habitual for console gaming interface, but with cursor. Side missions short and silly, so I don’t want to speak about that. Dark zones, at first, they seem interesting, but on 3-4 try, u understand that they all identical. Gameplay, especially parkour, is good and I have a lot of fun, when run across the city, it’s better and more dynamic then in 1st game. But it’s not save this game.     The game glitches out at the final boss, my 21 hours of playing mean nothing because the last stage of the last boss is unbeatable on my ps5. I am so sick of games coming out so broken, this is inexcusable.

    This game would probably be fun if it wasn't broken. Developer has acknowledged various game-breaking bugs which have not yet been fixed on subsequent patches. Not sure what game the "critics" played, but in its current state it is unplayable for any extended period of time. Shameful for a game to be released in this state and for refunds not to be offered.

    The game is so incredibly clunky, slow (way too many cutscenes/dialog). The fighting is so lame being RPG style (this one is really tragic because they should have just copied how good the fighting felt from the first one instead of completely ruining it).

    I hope they take this failure and learn from it to do a proper sequel to the first, and realize they don't need high production value cutscenes/dialog/etc, they just need to make the core game fun and let the player *play* the game instead of slogging through a bunch of media.    … Expand

This is irritating beyond words during any of the myriad of parkour challenges/sidequests littered throughout the game.

    6. One of the choices in the game permanently lock you out of an entire district of the map, and there's no indication whatsoever that this will happen. You can swim in the area to grab a few chests, but it's extremely slow and any enemies or other encounters you would normally run into in there will be unavailable to you unless you replay the entire game and make a different choice.

    7. When an enemy calls for reinforcements, they can spawn out of nowhere right next to you and attack you immediately, meaning you won't have the chance to finish looting that chest or whatever you were doing when it happened.

    8. Human enemies dodge a lot, and they're immune to damage while they do it. It isn't unusual for them to keep dodging one attack after another, and you won't be able to hit them until they decide to stop. You can still hurt them by using AOE attacks (such as grenades) or a ranged weapon, but the former will alert zombies and other enemies, and the latter are extremely rare, have limited ammunition and deal low damage compared to the melee weapons.

    9. Hitboxes are godawful. Even if there's an obvious distance between you and an enemy, they're usually able to hit you with attacks that would be a clear miss under normal circumstances.

    10. There are trophies for maxing out your Health and Stamina respectively, but you can only do one per playthrough, so you're forced to go through the whole game twice. You can kinda circumvent this by save scumming, but that would require you to not upgrade your Health and Stamina until late in the game, effectively locking yourself out of using most of the Parkour and Combat skills and thus make playing even more of an annoyance than it already is.

    I purchased the Ultimate edition when it first launched because I was such a big fan of Dying Light and the Following. This game was such a huge let down. I agonizingly played through the hole hoping there would be some redemption but the story and the mechanics were just awful. Such a let down.

    The latest patch has made a bug laden game completely unplayable in co-op. We just made the chase for centeal loop and not a SINGLE sequence out of the 10 something parts worked. Not a singöe row of code seemed to have been run in the correct order. Co-op was at least working before that patch..

    Wow. Just wow. This took 7 years to make? What did Techland do for the first 6.5? This is NOTHING like DL1. Incredibly bad graphics, sound is fuzzy (and voices echo), dialogue is cringe. This is nothing more than a parkour sim. I'd walk over my grandma's face to play anything else.

Honestly, night time use to fill you with dred as the Virals would hunt you down and chase you, and you stood no chance in hell against them. So going out at night was terrifying. (Non working conversation, non working doors, disapearing key enemies, etc.) At release this kind of bug is unacceptable, but 2 months after release and several patches... it's straigth up pathetic.THIS is the kind product that doesnt have its place in the video game industry. Hyping a game for years, showing fake footages/ showcases and releasing it in an half cooked state, full priced should be a criminal act. Another studio that lost my trust forever. I really hope every talented artist that worked on this game will find work elsewhere for a company that cares and has respect for videogames… Expand

    Dying Light 2: Stay Human looks more like a DLC to the first game than a whole new one. This does not mean it is a bad game, but it is not one that you should rush to buy. It looks and feels like you are playing the same Dying Light from years ago, and despite the storytelling being solid and entertaining, it is not enough to justify buying it right now.

    Delivering a huge improvement on the first title, but lacking with new features, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is quite fun, brutal, rewarding and a game of exceptional quality when it comes to the open world. Minor issues still exist here, but Techland successfully manages to live up to the hype surrounding the game.

    Dying Light 2 ups the ante from the original in almost every way, offering more satisfying parkour, combat and enough jump scares to make you never want to walk in the darkness ever again. A worthy and essential sequel.
