    Not since the Star Wars Galaxies combat update or NGE release has a patch been so unanimously hated. 1.11 Season 1 should be renamed to Season of the Moribund. Long loading times, insane lag of season launch day, it is like they have learnt a thing since launch!

    I can live with bad patches, hey it's your game. But the service itself is quite bad, lags, rubberbanding in town and endless queues are things that do not work out for a game that is basically a single player one. Was looking forward to play season 1 today, 1 hour queue....

    Promising game at the start but devs quickly proven to be incompetent and inept. The management use scummy and predatory moves such as nerfing exp and making gameplay much slower to squeeze out game time from playet base. I HIGHLY recommend people to give it no more than zero

    Let's just get this out of the way, Blizzard is dead. They are a shell company propped up and puppeteered by Activision and Bobby Kotic. They are monetizing our nostalgia for Blizzard games. Every patch and update for Diablo 4 since the first closed beta week has only aimed to make the game slower and LESS FUN. They want to keep you in the game by decreasing overall leveling and gameplayLet's just get this out of the way, Blizzard is dead. They want to keep you in the game by decreasing overall leveling and gameplay experience to increase their own metrics. Instead of just adding playful mechanics or additional events/minigames. This ONLY GETS WORSE with season 1. For some reason, they think it's fun/optimal gameplay to make leveling slower, mobs harder, decrease exp gained all round, nerf dmg reductions, nerf fun builds, NO BUFFS to off builds, nerf helltides, nerf vulnerability/crit dmg, and increase teleportation time, like wtf?

    ALL those bad gameplay decisions without addressing or fixing the resistances, storage space, early level gameplay drag, and so much more. IIt genuinely feels like they (diablo dev team and leadership) don't play enough games and enough of their own game to see the flaws. Does anyone else feel like we, the players, are QA testing this game for them? A lot of this can steam from Joe Shelley and others coming from the WOW team cause these are all problems they've done in WOW.

    And can Blizzard STOP with stealth nerfing and turning off items/aspects, thanks.    … Expand

Game has A LOT of Stuttering in many zones, the World Feels Empty with little to do after you've finished the Campaign, when there's lots of content that could be Reused in a Weekly or Daily basis that once we get to Nightmare dungeons we completely Abandon. Once NDs are available it will be unlikely that we Do WBs, any Tree of Whispers Events are ignored just like Random Estuar events, Cellars, when we could Reset some of these or get NPCs involved in them by means of giving us Bounties for Rewards that are Actually Useful. Caches filled with Materials, Items, Loot, Gold, anything, but basically we go about with Mindnumbing ND farming so its basically becoming D3 Rift farming. IDK, there's so much potential, but instead they worry more about nerfing everything to the ground and micro transactions. Such a shame. hopefully after all this feedback from the community that care about the game, they actually DO SOMETHING that benefits the player more than their Pockets!… Expand

    Awesome "waiting in queue simulator". Sometimes it lets you play a forced always-online game which is fine for couple hours and boring wow-like after that. Online shop is always working fine and with 0 lag though

    I loved the game at first have over 20 days of actual gameplay. Literally could not wait to get home from work to play i was just having fun for a change. BUT after the latest patch game feels horrible and i refuse to play until something changes so may be back one day but current state of the game SAVE YOUR MONEY play something else.

    Nobody asked for or wants cooldowns, they are by far the most annoying and completely useless part of the game - we already have Mana so why have a mechanic that punishes us twice to use the "best skills" (not to mention there are so limited of them). We want runewords but they dont have runewords. The only thing going for this game is the graphics which i like but god damn this game sucks.… Expand

    When the game first came out, I thought it was a great addition to the Diablo franchise. However, after the brutal nerfs after the first patch, I find the game just flat out not fun. The same thing happened when D3 came out. I have no idea why devs try to force types of play on a community that was having a great time with the game. I don't plan on logging in until things are fixed.

    the game is extremely slow paced, everything is created in a way to slow you down.

    the devs had the ability to look at D3 and see what it did well, what people liked, and implement those things into D4 or just take inspiration of those things. they could have looked at other games that do well like PoE and take inspiration out of that.
    for some reason they did neither. all the QoL changes those games made over the years ? D4 has none of that :)

    it's actually disgusting that they have the audacity to charge 70 bucks for this...

    Absolute rubbish.. never have I felt so bad for spending that much money on a game... everything feels like a mechanic in place to keep you locked into the game as long as possible, and almost nothing feels as if it's in place because they want you to have genuine fun.. oh and no trading, yanky mechanics, rubbish endgame and the list goes on and on

Blizzard once again strikes their fan base down by launching a game for everyone to beta test, that constantly has seen changes that transformed the game from very fun at launch into a drag to even log due to the incessant bugs, very restricted way to build your character that actually can defeat content, many, many quality of life things that literally had to be added through time for the same mistakes on Diablo 3 that simply aren’t anywhere to be seen on Diablo 4. Why? Why such little stash space? Why the need to make players avoiding making alternate characters by nerfing experience and fun ways to power level with friends to be able to play at the same level? Why are the devs, especifically Mr. Rod Ferguson trying to trick and tell players that “remember Diablo 4 has been out for only a few weeks” means that a triple A, bug riddled game (resistances don’t work, spells don’t work as intended, damage calculation is bugged, and the list goes on) is ok to have and we shouldn’t demand that fixes are churned quicker rather than later? And to top it all off, they release a patch where they literally change every single build every player has for worse, make the least customizable, least powerful class that’s bugged (sorcerer) worse, show a desperate attempt to slow everyone’s progress and restrict growth, and to make matters worse is riddled with a myriad of even more bugs. And we’re supposed to say thanks?
    I give it a 1 because the art, story and cinematics team should be rewarded, praised and recognized for creating such an interesting, and beautiful, dark world and ambiance, what a missed opportunity. This shouldn’t be accepted, that’s my 2 cents.    … Expand

The problem with blizzard is that they are too busy making changes that they think they should make while totally ignoring the entire community of gamers who play the game.     My original score would have been a solid 7ish, but after patch 1.1.0a its definitely a 0. The game was already a challenge for me, I work non stop and having my experience/Helltides/survivability/damage and much more nerfed without proper substitutes etc. I just dont have the time to really enjoy the game. The game was already a challenge for me, I work non stop and having my experience/Helltides/survivability/damage and much more nerfed without proper substitutes etc. I just dont have the time to really enjoy the game. My experience in the game was okay if not good before this , I ignored the lazy/sad/CHEESY excuse of "difficulty" that is insane crowd control mechanics that enemies in the world implemented on players making a smooth play through quite challenging when you're constantly feared, frozen/chilled, stunned, pinned in a corner from stone walls/lightning pillars erected by enemies while standing in a puddle of poison helpless, getting one shot by after/on death effects unseen due to screen clutter . However it's quite difficult to ignore the fact when I log in and do a nightmare dungeon I'd normally run through and I'm doing half the damage I normally did while also taking bucket loads of more damage and getting less experience. On top of that making it harder to enchant good stats on gear by adding an acknowledged broken stat like resistance to the possible rolls on gear? Why waste my time on a game with devs that say they are "listening" to the community but push through terrible patches such as this. Hopefully it levels out in time but until then I am putting the game down and venturing else where.… Expand

I'm a sorcerer, the most nerfed class in the game, it made me lose the desire to play, because now I have to start over to find new items. It is not possible that on their whim I wasted useless hours. shame!

    Absolutely trash game after new patch. Was getting trash gear before szn 1 and could barely stay in tier 4 now I just get tossed around because my gear is so bad and cause of the patch. (I’m level 73) haven’t got better gear since level 50. Done playing, I got better things to do. Campaign was nice tho ngl

    That 20-40 hours is not worth 70 euros.
    The developers do not respect: -you -your time -your effort -your opinion -your ideas -the genre -the community -the game Making ALL CLASSES DO 40% LESS DAMAGE to slow them down. Adding the fack that your hp has also been reduced, while the enemy's were rised. With a nice finishing touch of giving you less experience    Dont buy the game.

Get access to WT3 around level 50 and maybe WT4 around 60-65 depending on skill level but everything from level 50 onwards is just an absolute slog. Not only is there a lack of anything to really do but the dungeons are all some variation of copy paste of each other. The world bosses are timed usually while you are at work and the loot is absolute garbage for every single activity you can partake in. Not only did they nerf the hell out of the density for the monsters to the point where you're just walking a giant line with a circle with the occasional fight every 3 minutes but they continually nerf player power and xp gain on top of that. All the gear is bland and hope you like making spreadsheets because that's really all new gear feels like after level 50, You get 4 stash tabs that fill up insanely fast, uniques aren't unique in any way except for the single special affix on them most of which are garbage and actually unuseable because they nerf your character further. There are bugs galore in the game that have gone unfixed despite player outcry (Resistances don't work at all, horses get caught on the tiniest pixels etc.) the paragon board is massive with no real choices to be made and also requires you to manually one at a time refund them if you wish to respect. You will NEVER have enough gold, rerolling a piece of gear can cost hundreds of thousands to millions of gold and on WT4 a monster MIGHt drop 800 on average. Elites are absolutely busted, they tend to spawn 6 elites on top of each other that will just CC you to death because their skills are near unavoidable and they body block you into each other. They have enemies that can literally one shot you from rooms away if not careful in one hit that are a constant threat. On top of all t his lack of fun blizzard seems more concerned with setting the game up for another Diablo Immortal style cash grab system than listening to their fans and fixing things/making them more enjoyable. They seem to be completely capable of nerfing things into the ground in just a couple hours but always have excuses for why they can't fix things in the same time span. At this point I've given up on the game until some major changes happen to put some semblance of fun back into it and improve upon the state. If you spend money on this know you're essentially paying blizzard for a beta test experience if even that, it now feels more like you're in the starting phases of an alpha things are so bad. It's pretty sad that things are in their current state when Diablo 2 has been out for nearly 20 years and is still far superior to this.… Expand

    It's pretty obvious they don't care about their game. Really, if they did you would think they'd put any effort in making it fun. All they've been doing is making the game the complete opposite of fun. And this is coming from someone that has been playing D2 for over 20 years and played every season of D3.     The gameplay is not fun especially with all these season 1 changes/ mechanics. I don't know what Blizzard is doing however, they are for sure not making quality Diablo content. Feels like they are trying to change by doing all this weird stuff and just falling flat. This being said I'm the sucker that pre ordered it with copium that they would stop doing blizzard things.

    Le patch de la honte. Pas une seule amélioration sur l'interface ou la gestion des coffres (en 2023 devoir créer des mules ce n'est pas possible). Par contre un gros foutage de gueule pour les joueurs. Du nerf de partout, dps/def/xp, mais le pompom c'est le sorcier qui se fait encore plus enflés, deja que c'était la pires classe avant et on nous dit que c'est pour équilibrer et qu'ilsLe patch de la honte.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. had to change my thoughts as of recent patch, 1.1.1

    staight to the main points i have:
    pros
    -the campaign i throughly enjoyed.
    -the boss appearances from previous diablo games
    -skill tree system mostly reminds me of diablo 2
    -able to respect
    -cinamatics
    -length of campaign
    -ability to skip campaign when creating new characters
    -seasonal content, as long as it's just cosmetics on the battle pass

    cons:
    -paragon board resets are more time consuming than resetting character skills when trying different builds
    -lack of public test realm at this time. would be great to have the playerbase try out a patch in development and give feedback
    -at this time lack of having the option to re-fight campaign bosses
    -patch implantation. the communication of patch has gotten better but it still can't go into the pros slot. of course characters got some damage and defense buffs, however depending on the nightmare dungeon you run after the density buff, the buffs to characters can be noticed or feel non-existant(at lease in my experience from what feels like 90% of the time i generate what feels like infinite crowd controlled mobs or mobs that deal high elemental damage for there is near to non-existant elemental defense which won't be fixed until season 2 last time i checked.)
    -getting infinitely crowd controlled by the mobs. most guides say just get more croud control duration reduction on gear. news flash, it does not help if you fight a mob and end up repeatly dazed, confused, frozen(and in some cases one shotted after being frozen), feared or worst case all of the above at the same time. when i enoucter that situtation with my break free ability on cooldown i just drop my controller and grab a drink before picking it up again to revive my character, just being honest
    -elemental resists(fire, ice, lighting). they are currently none existant. i doub that potions that claim to give them even work. as mentioned earlier, unless I'm wrong; the last time i checked elemental resistances won't be fixed until season 2.
    -being raw dogged by poison damage.
    -lack of build diversity meta's. there was a ranking of "top tier" builds after some recent patches and one of the character classes didn't even rank in any tier let alone F tier    … Expand

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
