    Not sure why I spent $60 on this game. It's a shoddy copy of GTA with lame hacking. Definitely one of the most overrated games of the year.     Brings something diff to the table, not WOW but still interesting. Graphics are awesome on my opinion but graphic whores may think different. Overall i think this game is great and totally worth the 60$. Buy it, you won't regret it !

    Watch Dogs single player may have be a bit disappointing with it's stupid story line and monotonous missions but it brought a new kind of gameplay which was never seen before and it also has a multiplayer with full of online fun but over all it wasn't a complete perfect game as we thought watching the e3 gameplays and trailers

    I'n shocked at how there'd are so many haters for this game. IMO opinion this game is wayyy better than gta 5 and here is why. First off the city of Chicago feels way more real than anything rockstar has crafted. Don't get me wrong rockstar can craft some great live open world games but nothing comes close to matching watchdogs living breathing city. Random crimes happen, fights, and someI'n shocked at how there'd are so many haters for this game. IMO opinion this game is wayyy better than gta 5 and here is why. First off the city of Chicago feels way more real than anything rockstar has crafted. Don't get me wrong rockstar can craft some great live open world games but nothing comes close to matching watchdogs living breathing city. Random crimes happen, fights, and some nova will even call the cops on you. It just feels so real even in how the npcs interact with you and others. It's simply amazing. The animation and graphics are excellent even though there is a noticeable graphics downgrade. The shooting and hacking in the game is fun and opens up endless possibilities on how to complete missions, stop crimes, or evade the cops. There is just so much content in this game from the aforementioned random crimes to activities like chess, drinking games, races, and even my favorite activities...digital trips. There is so much more this game offers but explaining it would take a while and I'd rather get back to playing this amazing piece of work. It is well worth the money don't believe the hate. It ain't perfect but it sure as hell is close to it 9.5/10… Expand

    I was hyped for this game following E3 2012, but feel Ubisoft sold me a lie. From the moment they hyped the graphics, not telling people that it was on a top spec PC and Next-Gen consoles would be a big downgrade, they set themselves up to fall.

    Somebody has put a lot of effort into the game, but let down by the marketing department. Fortunately I waited until somebody else spend £65    I was hyped for this game following E3 2012, but feel Ubisoft sold me a lie. From the moment they hyped the graphics, not telling people that it was on a top spec PC and Next-Gen consoles would be a big downgrade, they set themselves up to fall.

    Somebody has put a lot of effort into the game, but let down by the marketing department.

    Fortunately I waited until somebody else spend £65 on this then tried first. I am a graphics whore, so felt so let down that my money will stay in my pocket.

But take the thing on its own merits and it is definitely worth the purchase. I don't CARE about GTA V. I don't care if basement dwellers feel they were misled regarding the graphics. The graphics are solid. And I can't understand giving a game a "0" out of some sense of socially inept, acne driven rage. Or how people can actually root for companies providing them with games to FAIL. Lame. All you've done is convinced me to stop looking at game site forums or metacritic user reviews. You have nothing constructive to say. You got nothing HONEST to say. And you're coming across as hateful to people who have done NOTHING to you. You don't want a product, then don't buy it.     This is getting zeroes? Seriously? Yeah, it's not quite as good as expected but a zero is just laughable. A zero is basically saying it's the worst game you've ever played which is just nonsense.

    Watch Dogs is a game that almost needs no introduction but shouldn't be taken completely lightly at all. From the start it seemed like this game would have to much hype going into its release, but once you get into the game you will start to notice the journey it takes you on isn't what you probably expected but is still breath taking and a fresh idea none the less. None the less Watch Dogs is truly a next gen experience that you will want to play at some point and that is why I feel this game deserves a 8.5/10!… Expand

    So I've played Watch Dogs around 12 hours and have only completed the first act due to the massive amount of side missions and other activities the online aspect of the game is simple, with one player joining your game and having a set task, for example tail the player or hack the player while they are trying to blend in to not get killed. Other online modes include racing and a capture the flag type game. the game so far is excellent and i have had no lag issues or any other issues with the game. The overall idea of watch dogs is a simple one. you are Aiden Pearce a man who can hack into almost anything ranging from Cameras to Grenades held by the NPC characters. There are several ways you can tackle the missions some of the missions can be done without Aiden even being seen by the enemies where as you can also go in guns blazing and take out everyone and anyone you want.

    So far i have not found any bad parts, the game runs smoothly on the Playstation 4 the only issue with the gameplay is have is driving. The driving seems terribly clunky especially when you are driving at high speeds and trying to turn corners, but this depends on the car you drive at most times as the better cars such as the sports cars seem a lot more responsive and easier to drive. there is no combat from the cars apart from using your phone to hack things like gas lines, pop up blockers, traffic lights and more thus making driving feel quite limited.

    Watch Dogs contains a kind of moral system which reflect on the things you do. Mainly if you injure or kill civilians you will have a negative moral, so far i have not found any reason for this apart from time to time seeing news clips saying things such as ' The vigilante has killed innocent people' the hacking mini game is simple but effective as you have to spin pieces around trying to link to a lock, this mini game is spread out quite even between the games missions so it does not get tiring or repetitive. overall the game is great and is worth picking up if you are into free roam games.    … Expand

Shooting isn't helpful either. It's fun to hack everything, but it tends to get old.     Please do not let all the negative reviews deter from this great game, people are just sad that this was not the masterpiece they were expecting but trust me this game is great.     Large amount of side missions and random traits of profiled citizens create a feel of busy city around Aiden. A few online hacking attempts that I've experienced were fun and challenging and also allowed me to better understand skill system -- what I need right now and what not. On the other side -- driving is not so smooth as in GTA and    A good mix of Assassin's Creed and GTA.

    Been playing for over 4 days and still cant get enough. Great fun and gameplay. Actually have to think about what your about to do on realistic. Great mash up of gta creed and the row. Love this game and i couldnt stand that mess of gta v. I love how the negative reviews have to pick apart a small part of the game to justify the low score. Dont let the haters persuade you, this game rocks.

    The game isn't as bad as people may think. It brings some original gameplay elements as well as decent graphics and interesting storyline with well-written characters. Is it worth 60$? I'd say yes if you enjoy stealth gameplay and don't mind GTA-style big city

    For the game itself, its your average GTA style game. The story is very odd and inconsistent. The one moment i beat someone up with a basbeall bat, then i'm visiting my nephew, then i'm suddenly Badass McBadBat again. The side Missions are extremly dull and usually consist of dozens of heavily armed dudes getting thrown at you. You have whole military-like mob convoys driving trough the city. Whoever runs the city is probably the worst police state in the history of gaming.

    The gameplay is uber-realistic. You have a three meter turn radius, every car handles like a formula one car that has tanked cerosine and the gunplay is quite odd. That said, there are good things in watchdogs and its fun to **** around with the city, but its not enough to keep me want to play it.

    In the end, Watch_Dogs is not a bad game. Its just extremely average.    … Expand

    It's for sure the best new game that I've ever seen in years. Of course there are some things that can be fixed (like the driving mechanic), but in general, it's an excellent game with awesome theme, history and gameplay

    This is a game i have been waiting from start. Don't compare it with gta 5 cause the game itself is unique.
    its got nice graphics and awesome gameplay given if u get the hang of it.Its a nice one all in all.

    Chicago feels like a real city. It is exquisitely designed and nicely populated with places to see, things to do and citizens who accurately react to your presence and actions

    Hacking is simple - in most cases its just a press of a button - however that is a gameplay decision. In the vast majority of cases hacking is not an end but a means to an end. You can manipulate the environment to cause panic, take out enemies, lose your pursuers, create cover and many other things. The sense of control I got is unique to this game.

    The online is very novel especially when you get to invade another person's game and try not to get detected while profiling him. Its a very interesting mechanic of cat and mouse. The fact that you can get invaded at any time creates a sense of suspense although, to be sure, the goal of the invader is never to assassinate you so grieving is kept to a minimum.

    Cons

    Driving is a tad too slippery although I am getting used to it. Also - you cannot shoot while driving. Presumably this is to focus more on hacking the environment in order to take out pursuers or victims. However its still a regrettable decision.

    The story is not that interesting so far. As is usual with these open world games which involve killing countless innocent people with very little consequences it is hard to identify with the plight of the main protagonist.    … Expand

You dont even have to buy guns you can pick new one's off people you kill or knock out. got midnight release and had to go to work cant wait to play it at lunch been a while since a game grabbed me like this.

    I haven't played GTAV and therefore I can actually judge the game by how fun the game is by sheer quality. This game is a quality game. I am sad that people are actually trying to destroy a new IP because it didn't meet everybit of their babyish expectations. Grow up!     At first I was upset now I'm just baffled.I don't believe any game in hisory has had gamers split down the line.No ' professional ' reviewer gave it horrible reviews.I think most people that trashed it didn't play it.I am not calling anyone a liar but it like 40 zero scores.That's impossible.     on the plus side .. while i tested the game there was not a single bug in it...
    almost every mission have several ways of completing them . stealth , loud , ghost ... and its not easy . but its possible. is it worth buying: if you    Good open world with a new and very well done story line . It's a fantastic new IP that has a bunch of game changing mechanics; and for the most part it uses them all to the fullest. It's a fantastic new IP that has a bunch of game changing mechanics; and for the most part it uses them all to the fullest. Watch Dogs has an interesting enough story, but the hook lies with it's vast open world. Chicago has so much atmosphere and I 100% believe that this the best atmosphere in an open world. You have a loads of side things to do that should keep you playing for many hours after you finish the campaign. For its multiplayer, I have yet to properly experience it. Ubisofts servers are being really finicky, therefore I won't judge just yet. Overall Watch Dogs is a solid game that really surprised me. So what if the graphics aren't as polished as you would like and the driving is really mediocre. It's fun to play and that's what counts.… Expand

    What ab incredible game. It's a mix of gta, deus x, the last of us, metal gear solid. But it's better than all of them. The only bad point is that it has dlc on the day of purchase
    also it comes in many languages not like gta v!

    Wow, you can really see the development path the game took, it plays like someone put AC1 on top of a GTA game.

    The important part is that its fun and original. That makes it better than COD 30-some or AC 4 in my book.

    Very good new IP. Visuals not "NextGen" from time to time, but overall very solid. A huge amount of content like mini games, digital trips and so, with a huge lively city. Excellent gunplay and sound.

    Chicago is a very rich, vibrant and pretty city that becomes a playground thanks to Aiden Pierce unique hacking abilities. I really enjoyed the dark tone of the story and his characters and although not every character is relevant, at the end of each mission I was thrilled to continue.     I felt a very satisfying character progression but the only problem is that when you finish the game there are some repetitive missions, and after completing everything you are left with an only good looking city with some normal activities to do.
    Multiplayer is fun for a while and it's a good addition to the campaign.

    O melee é muito bom não tem como e os minigame e hacks gostei de todos. Até o multiplayer de você se esconder perto da pessoa da uns momentos muito engraçados, Jogo muito bom e não é 10 por causa dos bugs, história, física e as rampas pq a gravidade do jogo é no mínimo 3x a da terra.

No puedo cree que vaya a hacer una critica del Watch dogs en pleno 2020 a unas cuantas semanas de que ubisoft de mas detalles de Watch dogs legion, pero es importante saber de este juego porque este es la razón de todo, Watch dogs del año 2014 no fue lo que nos prometieron mas aun en el aspecto gráfico, pero uno dirá ¿vale la pena este juego?, este juego se encuentra en la sección de play station hits así que uno diría que si, en mi opinión este juego vale muchísimo la pena y aquí le diré el porque, Watch nos sorprendió a muchísimos en la e3 del 2012 con un protagonista que se veía prometedor pero no fue así ese es uno de los mas grandes errores que comete el juego, en la historia, lo se la historia les gusta a muchos incluyéndome pero los personajes se sienten vacíos como si no tuvieran vida atrás excepto por: Clara, Tbone y Aiden de ninguno mas, pero llegamos a encariñarnos con ellos, he leído muchos comentarios del trailer de Watch dogs legión, que es uno de los mas grandes proyectos de Ubisoft, que piden un remake para Aiden o que salga dentro del juego, incluyéndome, pero al fin y al cabo la historia si llega a atraerte y mucho es por eso una de las razones para jugarlo, en online sonara chistoso pero yo lo sigo jugando, lo se fornite por aya fortnite por acá todo es fortnite ahorita, pero el multijugador no fue nada malo es mas a veces hace sentir de forma viva al juego de que algún otro usuario te hacke y te robe tu dinero en plena partida o jugar el captura la bandera que es mi favorito y en la jugabilidad se que watch dogs su jugabilidad es muy genérica y simple cubrirte y disparar, pero no solo es cubrirte y dispara también puedes usar las cámaras y activar explosivos, hackear sus audífonos, cortar sus señales y eso nos abre a muchas posibilidades, que esas cosas si son las que nos prometieron tener la ciudad bajo tus pies aunque en cierta parte tambien nos limitan mucho y ese limite nos obligan a acudir a las armas, lo se la mayoría de puntos que he tomado en cuenta son puntos positivos pero hasta el día de hoy no existe juego perfecto quien sabe tal vez el watch dogs pudo serlo pero no lo logro… Expand

    The game offers so much rich story that you won't want to stop playing the game not to mention the big open world to explore and tons of side activities/missions to do that keep you engaged. While the car handling is a little wack, this game has a story and immersive hacking environment that can be played for a long while. I think it's such an underrated game.

The amount of effort put in this game is phenomenal. Vehicles feel more realistic while driving. If you're seen as a terrorist in your reputation, people call the cops when they recognize you or when you shoot a gun in public. And the story? Amazing! Although I didn't get emotional during the mission where your family has to go somewhere safe, but I just didn't want to see them go. Character development is also really good. When Clara died, you wanted to kill the hit men badly, jut wanted immediate revenge. Overall, this game is a big slap in the face, but still a good game.… Expand

    Recomiendo el juego a fans y a no fans de los videojuegos Watch Dogs, si has jugado otros Watch Dogs te gustara pero notaras menos posibilidades de hackeo y otros fallos.

    In terms of story, I really dug every mission and plot point, far more than I ever have with a GTA game (I am a huge fan of GTA, but I know story isn't it's strongest point) the characters seemed interesting and I really connected with the main character which is definitely something GTA fails to achieve.

    In terms of Gameplay, Watch Dogs is exciting, fun and hard to put down once you get started.
    Not only is the hacking an interesting and enjoyable mechanic, but it adds such a deep layer of depth to the gameplay that it allows any player to play in any method he wishes. Want to gun everybody down ala GTA? Go Ahead. Want to stealth it and sneak around buildings via hacking and disable foes remotely? Sure, why not.

    Any time I replayed a mission, or did one of the repetitive side missions, I had a blast, because no quest was the same. Even replaying the exact same side missions results in different enemies, some can be interacted with and some can't always in different ways.

    I am far more likely to replay the story of Watchdogs over a game like GTA. I really look forward to a sequel, and hope Ubisoft ignores the haters, and it has fans.    … Expand

    The big downside of this game and probably the main reason for the legion of haters is the plot. Please don't buy this game if you want to play a game, treat Watch Dogs as a sightseeing experience. The storyline is just ridiculously bad: Aiden Pierce could be replaced by a potato or sack of balls and it would make no difference (at least it would be funny for the first 5 min seeing a sack of balls blowing stuff up), same goes to the side characters. Ubisoft promised us this griping conspiracy theory wikileaks/bourne type of story and we ended up with a straight to DVD mockbuster.

Fixer contracts are boring as hell. I'm not going to compare this game to GTA, because only bad reviewers compare one game to another to a similar one without focusing on the essentials. Also, there aren't all that many vehicles at all. There are only about 3 or 4 bikes, and cars are limited (but look sick). Overall, Watch_Dogs is an innovative and extremely interactive game, but repetitive gameplay, boring side missions, and limited mechanics hold this game back from being GOTY. I definitely recommend this game, especially on PS4 with the exclusive missions. Do yourself a favor, and buy this game.… Expand

    What can i say about this game, pure brilliance! didn't live entirely up to the expectation but not far behind either!
    I hope in the second game there's more to do after you complete the game.
    And i think it be great fun if the next one was based somewhere like London.

    CONS: The beginning of the game is a tad slow. Also, the driving mechanics and vehicle damage/destruction were very poor and inconsistent. Sometimes I would smash through a fence, hit a trash can, and hit a park bench and have little to no damage on the car.

    With huge hype after the E3 demo everyone was excited for it. And like many many Ubisoft games the reality sets in downgrade graphics and gameplay. Aiden Pierce is one of the most bland and boring characters I've ever played with and the game just felt incomplete.

Driving is not so good as in GTA V but still ok. Protagonist's story is quite well written. It's not Last of Us but ok. I can't understand why it has only 6.4 rated by users. I like shooting here. Driving is not so good as in GTA V but still ok. Protagonist's story is quite well written. It's not Last of Us but ok. I can't understand why it has only 6.4 rated by users.     I really liked the game.

    There's enough to do in the open world.
    & the more serious tone of the story line is in my opinion a good idea, especially when compared to the clown fiesta story of Watch Dogs 2.

    This game is definitely way better than Watch Dogs 2, and I recommend you to play it, if you haven't already.

    It has flaws and lots of bugs, but the story and characters make it playable. It’s a typical Ubisoft open world game.

Driving takes a little getting used to as anything that handles even slightly different from GTAV's driving is alien. Its fine though once acclimated. The gun-play and just combat in general (including stealth tools etc) is great. The City (Chicago) isn't quite on GTAV's Los Santos level... but its a more than serviceable map.

    Also, I really liked the online. Its different (& less appealing to the masses) to GTAV but it worked for me. Its reminiscent of Dark Souls' world invasion system but with stealth and observation as opposed to fantasy combat. Hacking another player and then finding a clever hiding-spot to wait out the hack while observing your 'opponent' scramble around looking for you is incredibly satisfying. And if you're unable to locate a 'great' place to hid, it can get incredibly tense as you try to read what the other player is going to do next... so you can circumvent it.

    I think a lot of the negativity at launch was down to the various promises not kept by Ubisoft but playing it years later with little to no expectations I've had a blast.    … Expand

    I play this game right after i finish GTA V. AND I LOVE IT. This game was epic. I dont care about story i didnt remember anything but gameplay and the things in here are a gem. Watch Dogs are a hidden gem and a must play

    O jogo é bom mas é preciso consertar alguns Bugs, faltou aproveitar alguns personagens pouco aproveitados. A gameplay é legal e divertida mas porém as vezes é muito fácil com determinadas armas como lança granada e rifle de precisão, a dirigibilidade dos carros é média para ruim , e muito arcade. O jogo é bom e, recomendo para quem não jogou.

    One of my favorite modern-open world-city games, just behind GTA V. Hacking mechanics makes it fun and stand out more than games like Sleeping Dogs. Nice atmosphere, decently designed city. It could have had more, but at the same time, it has just enough content.

    Watch Dogs is amazing game and so underrated that it's almost sad. People who say that it has bad graphics, don't understand graphics at all. Just cause it has different graphics from E3 trailer, doesn't mean it automatically has bad graphics. It looks great and is very fun game.

    The story is such a classic about saving a family from a villain. As we say in the Czech Republic    Playing this game in 2021 is not a bad idea at all. Multiplayer is still active, the game is well patched and during my whole passage through the game I came across only two bigger bugs / glitches.     But honestly, I have to say that from the beginning, the overall gameplay of this game is a bit confusing, because the game will overwhelm you with information about what and how it is used more or less at once. So you learn during the game. At least that's my sincere and subjective look.

    The driving model of cars is intuitive, boats are boats. What I'm a little sorry I wasn't in the game is definitely piloting aircraft.

    In conclusion, I must point out that the game must have been really annoying during the release. When I saw a few videos of the state of the game at the time, I was honestly a little sorry for it. However, now it is more or less problem-free and I give it a rating of 8/10.    … Expand

He's unlikable and you are forced to play this random guy. Wtf Ubisoft? Combat mechanics are alright. Poor driving, poor ai, poorly designed npcs. The token Jordi Chin is so out of place... So what's good? Well, I guess hats off for their marketing team =)

    Stick to gta. And Ubisoft, I don't know what to say but maybe... please give your customers some respect? I mean, how dumb do you think we truly are?    … Expand

    Watch Dogs is a fun open world experience. However, the repetitive chases and the formulaic gameplay tend to get tedious and boring after a while. As such, you might want to enjoy the different multiplayer experiences and take frequent breaks to just roam around the city.
