Watch Dogs could've easily been Grand Theft Auto with tech equipment. But Ubisoft Montreal has managed to flesh out this experience as something more, making fantastic use of the technology and applying it just right to deliver a remarkably deep experience.

With a deep storyline, plenty of side content, and a gorgeous rendering of Chicago to explore, Watch Dogs brings a lot to the table and truly unlocks next-generation graphics in a whole new way. Watch Dogs is a beautiful, mesmerizing title.

Watch Dogs sports an extremely solid gameplay with a good stealth flavor and tons of things to do. It stumbles however in the story area, with an uninteresting plot and quite dull characters, Aiden included. Overall, however, it's a good package, even if it isn't the masterwork we were expecting, and it will undoubtedly be worthy of your time.

Despite the fact that Watch Dogs hasn't made any meaningful impact on the genre, I found myself having a ton of fun with it. Between the deep levels of customization and the sheer breadth of content, there's no shortage of things to do. If Ubisoft can take the game's core fun factor and marry it with an actual "next-gen" experience the next time around, they'll have something truly special.

If you were expecting Watch Dogs to take the genre in new directions then you’re going to be sorely disappointed. With that being said, Watch Dogs is still an engaging and often times surprising action game.

It is not quite the revolutionary title people were hoping for, but Watch Dogs is still an excellent game in its own right.

Even though I feel its story is often weak and its action isn't that different from other games in the genre, I still enjoyed my time with Watch Dogs. It turns out that the old stuff still works, and the strong-but-standard mission design kept me entertained, most of the time. It's rough around the edges, though, so if you don't settle for anything less than the best, you'll probably be disappointed.

You've got A LOT things to do, main storyline is superb , side missions are great with lots of fun. Watch dogs is just like Arkham Asylum - "cosy" atmospheric "semi"-open world game. It's better than gta 5 imo, because of it's story, setting and solidly balanced gameplay. If you are online player then you'll be surprised how much this game can deliver. I can't get enough of Watch dogs! Expand

However the game really was incredibly fun. The hacking really brought a whole new dimension to the game, and was damn good fun and made missions a hell of a lot more interesting than just running around and shooting.

The cover system was good, the weapons were fun (I loved the silenced pistol), and the game world was also fun to explore. I normally just go through the main story in games like this, but I felt compelled to explore and complete lots of side missions.

The online hacking and tailing was the highlight for me. I loved the idea that at any time someone could be in my game spying on me. A couple of times I caught people out because they were acting in an odd way, but I dread to think how many people I miss. Sometimes a NPC would have a car crash, or something weird would happen, and I'd start freaking out trying to find another player, only to realise it was just an NPC scripted event. Awesome!

All in all, I loved the game and would highly recommend it.

Sadly graphics don't live up to anything near what they showed at E3 2012. Tough levels, lots of hrs of gameplay. If you like GTA V, this will tie you over until Oct 2014 when GTA V is released on next gen consoles but it is only a stopgap sadly. Saying that, I am giving it a 7 because I love the multiplayer aspect of it and the ctOS app is brilliant for battling against friends, regardless of the console it is on. Expand

The game looks good, no doubt, but not nearly as good as in the E3 Trailers, Launch Trailer or Steam Shop Page Screenshots. By all means, this form of false advertising has to stop. Also, getting hours less of playtime because i didnt bought the "Digitale Deluxe" Edition is just wrong and should not be supported.

For the game itself, its your average GTA style game. The story is very odd and inconsistent. The one moment i beat someone up with a basbeall bat, then i'm visiting my nephew, then i'm suddenly Badass McBadBat again. The side Missions are extremly dull and usually consist of dozens of heavily armed dudes getting thrown at you. You have whole military-like mob convoys driving trough the city. Whoever runs the city is probably the worst police state in the history of gaming.

The gameplay is uber-realistic. You have a three meter turn radius, every car handles like a formula one car that has tanked cerosine and the gunplay is quite odd. That said, there are good things in watchdogs and its fun to **** around with the city, but its not enough to keep me want to play it.

In the end, Watch_Dogs is not a bad game. Its just extremely average.
