With a unique thriller and grimy aesthetic, Watch Dogs looks interesting. With its unique gameplay that mixes hacking, gunplay, stealth, multiplayer all while giving players tons of choice when approaching missions makes the game interesting. While the story could have used another some more tweaks, Watch Dogs is a great open world action game who's mechanics make GTA V look simplistic.

not much to say for a game that is so dull and forgettable. 3/10 just because the idea and parts of the hacking gameplay was very enjoyable. being able to control so much around you was fun, but nothing else was. The city is dull, the characters are forgettable and boring. The graphics even for the time were horrible. Why would anyone play this with GTA V out there???? Makes no sense to me!

Another bug I had experienced was that the crosshair disappeared, and it wouldn't come back. I had to dig through the files of the game, delete a file for settings, and reopen the game just to get a stupid crosshair back.
The game files corrupt frequently, so you might just open the game back up and see that your skill tree has been reset and all of your money is gone, but you're still in the point of the story that you are at. The list of bugs just goes on and on.
There was even an option for ray tracing, but they decided to deactivate it for what ever reason.
Now, I received this game for free on a sale on Epic Games, but if I had bought it with actual money, I would've gotten every chance to refund it. Definitely not worth $30 considering how many bugs there are. Please do not buy unless it is on a 70% sale or something like that. I've probably spent more time trying to fix the bugs than actually playing the game.

I felt a very satisfying character progression but the only problem is that when you finish the game there are some repetitive missions, and after completing everything you are left with an only good looking city with some normal activities to do.
Multiplayer is fun for a while and it's a good addition to the campaign.

Average revenge story. The MC is boring like most people say, but his voice actor is on point. The gun play is terrible, along with the driving, even after 5 hours of playing, still can’t get a feel for either The hacking is awesome, aside from the timed hacking spots. I don’t care for events with timers. Overall:wait for sale.

The driving is really poor, with nonsensical physics/collisions wherever vehicles are concerned. The NPC drivers are also awful and crawl along at 5 mph and stop for no reason all the time. This is a big deal for me personally as the driving experience has always been a big part of my immersion into the game world. With such unpleasant driving, I wasn't really interested in doing all the collection/side quests (unlike in Watch Dogs 2).

Speaking of side quests, it's a shame that Ubisoft opted to include only epeatable side missions that have nothing memorable about them. And for the most part, the rewards for side missions/collectables are mediocre and not worth the time.

Also, AIden Pearce is perhaps one of the worst protagonists in any video game I've played. His complete lack of personality and comically flat voice acting make it hard to root for him or care about the things that happened to him. Having to deal with this annoyingly dull player character was another reason I didn't bother sticking around for much of the activities beyond the campaign. On the other hand, the side/supporting characters are decent (although riddled with cliches) and better than those in WD2.

The story was pretty good at the beginning, but soon turned into an overly predictable revenge tale. It felt like it was trying too hard to be serious, especially given the game's lapses in quality.

In terms of the game's strengths, I thought that the hacking element was rather fun (mostly the campaign and the ctOS towers). It's not as powerful as in WD2, but killing enemies by blowing up electrical boxes through your cell phone never got old. I tried playing the game like I did in WD2 -- without killing, instead relying on hacking and stealth to complete the missions. I quickly found out this wasn't possible. The game regularly forces you to kill an inordinate number of enemies, which is fine, since the combat is fairly good (and certainly better than the clunky car chases). On this note, there is a much greater variety of weapons than in WD2.

Finally, the game world felt lively, detailed, and well crafted. If the driving weren't so insufferably bad, and the graphics were a bit better, I could easily see myself doing more of the side activities/collectables as I did in WD2.

Oh, and play it on realistic. Otherwise it's just way too easy.

The concept behind the game (the fact that you can hack almost everything in the city) is
    really well thought

The bad: There is some inconsistency in the graphics quality. Some textures are really well made while others are just ugly (for example, Aiden's clothes are really well presented but the trees, the furniture inside some houses don't seem like quality graphics) I observed that during night time in the game, graphics seem to look better than during day.

The driving mechanics can be odd but we get used to them.

Average: The story is better than a lot of similar games but the plot is complicated.

Overall, I think this game is good and the reality is that I had a lot of fun playing it. However, the below than average graphics are impacting the immersion and IMO make this game a 7/10 rather than a 8/10 like some other AAA games I played before

What a boring game. It's as if developers target was to create the greatest open world game, but forgot to put in fun or quality content.

I'm one of those people who stayed under a rock just to avoid all the hype the game was getting, so don't expect me complaining about how graphics are downgraded or how Ubisoft was lying straight to consumers faces.

    Gameplay:
Car physics and handling is terrible, feels like something from the PS2 era. Even the terrible handling of True Crime felt more realistic or fun for that matter. Same goes for weapon handling, AI is as bad as you can expect, they'll be either staying in one place and show themselves for a few seconds just to shoot and then hide again in the same place, or run towards you. It's already a clumsy game, yet they managed to screw the melee system that you can knock someone only if you're playing a stealth mission.

The location itself is alright, but there are some awkward moments. Take for example civilian cars, you will never see in a car anyone else besides the driver(except for police and henchmen in the story missions). I find that small detail very annoying since that's something that was not an issue since GTA3 which came out in 2001. If you visit any store more than once you will quickly notice that the visitors do the same thing every time you enter. So most of the stuff is copy/pasted and scripted, hence the world feels more lifeless than it should.

The hacking part can be in some respects fun, but it can be limiting. For example: wouldn't it be fun to crush your card with a container? According to the game, nope. If you put any vehicle under, I guess then your hacking system get some kind of guilt or something, it won't do anything. You want the train to hit the car or Aiden because he's a lifeless tool? I guess you can't because the train has feelings now, but explosions are ok.

Missions/Campaign: Yet another terrible mess. The only positive thing I can say is the hacking part, but even that part gets annoying when you see that's the only thing they have to show outside all the generic open word stuff. Those hacking puzzles and finding the targets through the camera overstay their welcome, just like tank missions in Arkham Knight. The plot is poorly executed, main characters are boring, I don't feel any sympathy for characters that have fewer emotions than my neighbors' old cat.

If there is one thing most developers have learning for the past 10 years is that tailing missions are boring, so you have to ask why didn't these developers get the memo. Chase missions would have been fun if the car handling/physics weren't so stiff. And every time you're a bit behind you gets warning that you're losing the target and it's annoying because of the counter stopwatch which refreshes to the start quite a lot. A good example of how broking the stealth/tailing target is the mission where you're following Iraq's cousin, you will fail even though you can see him right across the walking path. A lot of times I failed missions because I didn't know what to do, and they happen to have the worst possible checkpoints as if developers were trolling just for the fun.

A lot of times, it's much easier just to kill everything that moves, rather than avoid or use hacking gadgets for a stealthier approach. As a vigilante, you'll be killing more often policemen than escaping them, because it's just less annoying.

So yeah, mission design is not great.

    Sound/Music:
The music playlist, outside of a few songs nothing else either good or worth listening. It's the type of music artists put on albums as a filler. Whoever was choosing those songs, your hipster music is terrible.

If I have not mentioned gun or vehicle sound, well it mediocre, just like the rest of the game. If you're reading this far, this shouldn't be surprising.

Conclusion: The game is mediocre at best. Some will find it appealing, because of the hacking features, but in my case, it quickly wore off. I would recommend to try it out only if you have nothing else to play, which is very unlikely.

The amount of effort put in this game is phenomenal. Vehicles feel more realistic while driving. If you're seen as a terrorist in your reputation, people call the cops when they recognize you or when you shoot a gun in public. And the story? Amazing! Although I didn't get emotional during the mission where your family has to go somewhere safe, but I just didn't want to see them go. Character development is also really good. Good game, if you did not expect it to be the GTA killer, I am impressed with what the devs have done with the game I wish there is a bit of real hacking where you type in commands and such don't really like the puzzle hacking part of the game

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Watchdogs focuses on Aiden Pearce, a hacker that can access many of the cities electronic systems (such as traffic lights and bridges) and use them to his advantage as he attempts to track down the people responsible for the death of his young niece.

The game is based around an interesting central concept and features solid shooting, stealth and driving mechanics. The majority of the campaign missions are pretty entertaining, often offering the player some flexibility in how to complete them, and taking out or escaping enemies using the variety of electronic devices found in the environment is always great fun (although can I ask for no more missions that involve slowly following someone!).

The bewildering array of side missions on offer are also mostly just mundane mini-games and item collection and, while the hacking tech adds a nice puzzle element to proceedings, accessing towers to unlock points of interest on the map is hardly original anymore. There are a couple of more interesting ideas, such as tracking down a serial killer, but even these amount to little more than going from point to point on the map.

In the end the biggest frustration is that Ubisoft have just played things a little too safe with their insistence on sticking to the over used structure first seen in Assassins Creed about a decade ago. Had the developers been willing to take a bit more of a risk Watchdogs could have been something really special instead it has to just settle for being a good, if slightly too long, game that most people will only play through once.

There is fun to be had in Watch Dogs with it's decent gun-play and alive open world. But, the story and characters are super dull and some of the side content can get repetitive.

You know, the more I look at this game, the more I think about how 2014 was such a disappointing year for gaming. The dawn of the eighth-generation of gaming was upon us with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (oh, and the Wii U wasn't selling or getting third-party support, but at least we got "Super Smash Bros." that year!), and unfortunately, we were graced with a lot of new IPs that unfortunately didn't deliver on massive expectations, like "Titanfall," "Driveclub," "The Crew," "The Evil Within," "Destiny," and of course this game right here, "Watch Dogs." Even new titles in established franchises, like "Thief," "The Sims 4," and "Assassin's Creed Unity" struggled in 2014. But now that years have passed, maybe we can step back and reassess some of these without considering all the hype and hubbub they got prior to their launches. So, is "Watch Dogs" worth it in that case? Eh.
Off the top, "Watch Dogs" has a very interesting concept in mixing hacking with open worlds, and in general, the open-world gameplay is quite solid. It's fun getting to explore the open-world of Chicago, and while the hacking can be a little simplistic, it still feels like a very neat concept for the game. There's also plenty of exciting content in the game, great mission variety, and some rather interesting level design here.
There are quite a few gripes, though, that make it unable to live up to all of the pre-release hype. For starters, even if we don't consider the "E3 downgrade" and all that, the visuals in the game aren't really all that great for what is a "next-gen" game. Playing the game in 2018, it unfortunately just looks painfully outdated already. On top of that, while I can appreciate that the hacking is mostly kept simple in the game, it does feel like said concept of hacking just isn't utilized that much, and more of the game revolves around rather generic stealth missions that don't feel exciting whatsoever. And don't get me started on our overly-stoic main character and weak storyline of this game, because for what's supposed to be a "clever, interesting new idea," the story just feels so run-of-the-mill here.
I wanted to love "Watch Dogs." Really, I did. I even pre-ordered the game when it came out because I wanted this to be the best next-gen game out there. Unfortunately, it just isn't. What was supposed to be such an innovative game just felt like another "Assassin's Creed" styled game with a hacking mechanic slapped on for "uniqueness" and a boring, cliché story hiding behind it all. It's a damn shame, because it was such an interesting concept. Unfortunately, 2014 taught us that even the most "innovative" games can be lackluster (I'm looking at you, "Destiny"), and even if it's not a bad game (in fact, it's a pretty decent one at that), "Watch Dogs" will most certainly go down as one of the biggest disappointments of the eighth generation of gaming.
Final rating: 6 out of 10 "Decent"

I really enjoyed the game now in 2017. The whole ideea of the game is very original.Main storyline , graphics, stealth system, caracters, they are all very well created. The very bad thing in this game is driving , wich it is horrible indeed, and can make you angry most of the times. Overall , for me the game is a solid 8.

It's got some pretty good driving left over from it's days as a Driver prototype and the combat is a decent competitor with GTA V. Where it falls short is content. In true Ubisoft fashion Watch_Dogs takes place in an open world, this world is filled with the most boring and bland stuff imaginable. After your 16th time stopping a random crime it starts to get boring. The campaign is where this game really shines and sadly it's hampered by some stages behind mind numbingly boring with ease or rage inducingly hard. Like I said if you can find it cheap definitely pick it up and place through the story, but for me after finishing the story, doing a couple "side missions", and not even touching the online I'm done with Watch_Dogs. It's actually fun to roam around Chicago, there are plenty of activities to try, and gameplay is pretty solid. Sure, the whole hacking stuff boils down to pressing and holding a button, not as deep or complex as we thought, but it's quite fun to mess with traffic lights, gates, bridges or steam pipes during a chase to lose your pursuers, complete blackouts are also pretty awesome.

That being said, the story is just alright and that has a lot to do with Aiden being such a flat and uninteresting protagonist, it's just hard to care about what's going on with him. Supporting characters like Jordi and Clara definitely had potential but you don't even spend enough time with them to care about stuff that happens later in the game. Side missions can be fun but some of them quickly get repetitive as they offer little variation. This game was definitely overhyped and Ubi failed to deliver in some aspects, but I still had a good time playing it and don't think it deserved all the hate and low scores it received.

For the first couple hour, I tried the single player and liked how the hacking gameplay integrated well with ALL of your characters movements. (Which includes driving, shooting and being on foot.) Eventually, I moved onto the online part of the game and found myself PLEASANTLY surprised!! After two year AND a brand new sequel out, the online community STILL thrives!

Getting into any of the online games was a smooth transition will very little wait time. (Most titles like CoD or Battlefield are between 3-8 minutes between games, following the end of a scoreboard+loading time. Where Watch Dogs, is 2-3 minutes tops!!) The gameplay is a little different for the multiplayer, with the only true competitive modes are online hacking and racing. BUT they are fun and easy to get into!
Another thing I liked was the integrated matchmaking with the main game. Sure, it's annoying when you get hacked or tailed, but the transition is smooth and is enjoyable to find the person tailing or hacking you, in the regular world.

Like I said, it does get annoying, especially when you're trying to do side missions or activities, as they will interrupt your gameplay, even though you can go right back to playing after the hacking or tailing is completed.

As for the main game, it's a lot of fun! Many of the side missions focus more on driving and evading the police. Which is really fun to do in Chicago, the game's setting! Many of the side missions remind of me of playing Need for Speed Most Wanted and the Dukes of Hazard.

As for the combat, I'll admit, the AI is fairly dumb and doesn't really pose too much of a challenge until the really outnumber you. Firefights aren't very tense and in many cases, when you combine you ability to sabotage things and the gunplay, Aiden gets pretty overpowered, provided you don't get shot in the progress. (As you really can't too many shots. Which is realistic., I guess.)

Story-wise, it's a pretty decent little revenge story, which some may find boring or overused. Personally, it keep me interested, especially if you did a little exploring and listened to some of the audio logs.

Two more things: the actual in-game hacking of Chicago's population didn't fit with the game's character and gave NO penalty for robbing people's digital accounts and literally STEALING someone's stuff! After a while, I was able to get well over a half million bucks from hacking phones, in an hour, by JUST STANDING STILL AND PRESSING THE SQUARE BUTTON. That I didn't like!

The last one, is the actual environment and the streets of Chicago. I found it to be AWESOME and a close comparison to GTAV's detail. The city lives and breathes as it should; there are street performers, people out talking and doing all kinds of things, including actual crimes! My only complaint; the people were painted too much in a dark perspective.

Overall, Watch Dogs, is a fun sandbox game that will appeal more to those who like racing, high speed chases and playing something a little bit different than GTAV. Sure the similarities are close to GTA, but it's great in it's own rite!

I do believe in comparison if it were to be compared with Grand Theft Auto, there would be absolutely no comparison to Grand Theft Auto as that franchise is almost perfection in every aspect.

But to start this game I may agree, was over-hyped or had an expectation that was not met and I will say it was definitely the graphics. The graphics were nothing in comparison to it's demo trailer which really got the industry and gamers excited. But the graphics are not as bad at the same time. I believe the biggest problem with Ubisoft is that they publish way too many games in a short period of time. I believe that one or two development groups should be fully devoted to development and that is where I think this game went wrong in anyway.

However, gameplay is great once you get used to the fact that it is NOT Grand Theft Auto. FPS is not as bad for its timeframe. The story is pretty solid for a new game from Ubisoft. Aiden Pearce the character maybe boring at some points, but as you play, you will understand why he is so bold most of the time. Kind of like Connor from Assassins Creed III. Without a doubt, Raymond Kenney was my favorite character. Missions are pretty fun as you get a great exposure of hacking. I love the concept of taking over CTOS and Blume. What I believe was that more time should have been taken to develop this game to meet the expectations of the players. I believe that the hacking capabilities can be pretty fun when you unlock them and it makes the experience really bring out. You really get into the story after sometime playing it.

What is very nice about this game is that there brings a future franchise for the open world side of gaming. It is definitely a beginning of something great and can also be a learning curve for Ubisoft. Watch Dogs is definitely something fresh and new for Ubisoft and the gaming community and I am excited to see what they do with their next installment. I believe Ubisoft will deliver better next time. When Ubisoft gets below a 9 rating, you know that it did not favor the expectations of its fanbase.

You are supposed to help civilians and the whole city is much deeper and darker. It reminds me more of GTA IV than GTA V. But, this game has absolutely great stealth system and shooting system kicks GTA's ass. City of Chicago also feels so much alive and the whole map is great. (maybe a bit small, but original). I don't see why other people talk about this game being repetitive. I completed it to 100% and had fun all the time (maybe Fixer contracts are bit annoying). Online is also cool, hacking and tailing other players is really fun. Weaker point of this game is probably the story, which is kinda short and the plot is... weird, let's just say.

Watch Dogs is a 3r5d person open world shooter game with a dash of puzzle…
You play as Aiden Pierce trying to get to the bottom of his Nieces murder…
The story telling in Watch Dogs is great… Especially when your focus changes from your niece to someone else that I won’t mention to prevent spoilers, but I feel like the transition was perfect due to that connection… it makes you care... it keeps you pushing forward… but at the same time you’re still going after everyone involved in the initial hit…
And again the writing and introduction to each character in the story is so great that you’ll either really love or really hate someone… you feel pierces emotion personally which creates a great deal of immersion in this story..
To get information on locations you have to hack into buildings and severs…
And there’s freedom in the way you can approach this…
Watch Dogs works great as a 3rd person shooter with an intuitive cover system… an easy to access weapons wheel, tons of weapon variety, a great amount of ammo and crafting parts for bombs… a great stealth system to silently take enemies down or take them out with a silenced pistol…
Or you can hack cameras and explosives…
I personally had the most fun jumping from camera to camera, waiting for opportunities to explode fuse boxes, trigger alarms for a takedown set up… activating the grenades inside of enemy pockets…
Many times during the story I didn’t have to fire a single bullet to get everything I came for..
I hopped from camera to camera hacked into the system and left…
Hacking here is very simple and comes down to a pipe type puzzle of feeding a blue line into other pieces and unlocking them. And these sections are the only mandatory hacking sections as again you can just play as a third person shooter if you’d like…
Outside of the 18 hour campaign though is the open world of Chicago and unfortunately the open world is the weakest aspect in the entire game…
Think of this more as a hub world to extend play time by spreading out mission locations, because ubisoft took 0 note in crafting this open world as it has issues in its open world I haven’t ran into since the PlayStation 2….
Cars will disappear from where you left them if you run into a building to start a mission and come back out…
During chases you have to ram cars to stop them or hack the world around you... which is actually a great deal of fun during intense chases, to blow up streets, raise bridges and road blocks while youre chasing or being chased by the police…
But you cant shoot out of your window to shoot out tires despite enemies being able to shoot while driving…
Another annoyance with these chase missions is that if you do get the person youre chasing stuck, you cant just pull them out of the vehicle theyre in… the only way to continue is shoot them through the window or get back into your car and ram them until they get out…
This isn’t too annoying in story, but is highly annoying in online play when you have a random player trying to hack you…
You can turn this feature off, but anyone at any time can enter your world and you can do the same entering there’s for rep, or co-op and competitive fun like races…
But again these are real people... not ai controlled enemies, so trying to get a head shot on someone in a vehicles is much harder to do in this instance…
And then theres hacking npcs to profile them…. To stop crimes from happening before they happen... I personally didn’t enjoy this aspect at all, I found it to be shallow filler and had no interest in doing random chases as again the campaign created such a great deal of urgency that it created tunnel vision for me…
While Wacth_Dogs didn’t deliver the ground breaking experience it promised.. If you can look past those promises for what it actually is, it’s a great game with a great story.
    I give Watch_Dogs
    an 8.5/10

This game is extremely overrated. I'm not worried about the graphic drops.. i bought this game 2 YEARS ago... and only played a bit of it because its so BORING! The story is horrible as well!
I am finally just now beating it and i'm reminded how tedious the missions are! Cannot believe people would want a sequel when there's much better games out there!

the things that make this game fun is the online hacking and tailing because you never know what your opponent is going to do the opponent can be funny its just unpredictable every time you invade an opponent the match is always different

This is good game, but i have mixed feeling about Watch Dogs. Storyline wasn't addictive for me, and i was very quickly bored this game. Hacking environment was very funny and it was the most interesting in game, especially online.

Watch Dogs is the worst game of Ubisoft. The story missions are mostly boring and unclear. Due to problems with the story the map loses its potential. The world is visually good-looking but characters and cars are not. Chicago feels empty and you have nothing to do except annoying side missions. Vehicles have ridiculous acceleration so you have no time checking your surroundings. PhysicsWatch Dogs is the worst game of Ubisoft. The story missions are mostly boring and unclear. Physics of the game are terribly unrealistic, enemies are too stupid or too clever but never even close to normal. The genre Watch Dogs is competing is just way too harsh for it. Hacking is the key element of the game and sometimes it causes unexpected death of Aiden Pearce or somebody he was supposed to protect. Very often you are about to hack some gates or traffic lights but Aiden decides to commit suicide by exploding himself with steam pipe... and mission failed. It is somewhat annoying when some other player invades your game during your casual gameplay and you have no time for their mierda del toro. The good thing is that you are able to invade their games as well. One of the few good things is that you will earn relatively multiple easy trophies from the game... Expand

Watch Dogs is a game that does not deserve the hate it has. It's a game that I became very fond of as I continued through it. Sure, you don't get to hack as much as you thought, and the driving is absolutely terrible. However, if you're willing to look past that, there is a decent game to be played.

Historia mal contada, mecánicas poco originales y final predecible.

Good graphics. Nice driving and GPS system. But the game overall is boring and repetitive, the story is the same old cliche. This is Ubisoft being Ubisoft again.

    The game is good.
The graphics are very realistic , history is cool.
But the Hype that Ubisoft created for this game was too exaggerated.
The game is worth the price currently being sold.
    Good game!

I hear people saying negative things about this game but a lot of it is bandwagon hate imo. I went in expecting it to be crap but I actually enjoyed it. Definitely not the game of the year but it's for sure worth playing. One thing though, hearing "son" and "b" from characters when the city is supposed to be Chicago shows the developers needed to do some more research.

I don't get all these Negative scores, Yes Watchdogs isn't perfect but it's way better than gta series.
If you like a great action game and also gta then Watchdogs is for you.
the graphics aren't what we seen so many years ago at E3 but they are still very nice. watchdogs hacking is super fun and I truly enjoy what Ubisoft has made here and i'm a fan of the watchdogs series. I can't

    Watch_Dogs - PS4 re-release. Now here's me thinking....yay...another remastered port... ¬_¬

Actually as you play through the first 20 minutes you already start to notice MAJOR graphical changes. Scratches on bins, things YOU KNOW was never there etc. Visually the game got buffed, no doubt. However, the camera is still shocking at times. I guess they didn't fix that. But apart from

Alright so I got a "free" game to my console when I bought my PS4. I had been waiting and waiting for this title. I first saw the trailer many years before and I kept waiting but Ubisoft kept extend and delay the release date. At last I got it to my brand new console. This was going to be next gen. I first saw the trailer many years before and I kept waiting but Ubisoft kept extend and delay the release date. At last I got it to my brand new console. This was going to be next gen. Man, I was thrilled.

Since my expectations were sky high the game never had a chance to actually come close to what I hoped for. The graphics weren't next gen even though it still looks pretty good. But it was buggy and I never liked the character all that much. I remember I thought that "On a brand new console the game can't be having all these issues". The loading time is awful. Most of the side missions are just the same.

Some side games are pretty dull but the Spider Tank is a blast.

However, the game has its good parts. The villain is splendid - what a guy. He personifies evil and he looks amazing. I really liked the ending. The animations are well done and looks great when they work. It's pretty thrilling being chased by the cops but a bit annoying if your battery runs low. I actually played and completed the game twice and that says something about it too. It's fun but according to all the bugs and loading time it's not the best games I've played.

Ubisoft still disappoints me after they made me buy Sam Fischers original pistol in the game. Just as my expectations for other Ubisoft titles, such as Assassins Creed Unity and Far Cry, Watch Dogs don't convince me as being a next gen game. There's too many issues that needs to be sorted out.

Watch Dogs is a fun open world experience. However, the repetitive chases and the formulaic gameplay tend to get tedious and boring after a while. As such, you might want to enjoy the different multiplayer experiences and take frequent breaks to just roam around the city.

It’s a bold first step on the new terrain for Ubisoft. The game is enjoyable, offers some interesting mechanics and lasts for long enough, but is bland as a whole. The characters lack personalities, the city could use more distinctness and the story is instantly forgettable. [07/2014, p.46]

Overall, it is almost without a doubt the best platformer that has popped up on the current generation of consoles and is a bedrock on which Ubisoft could build a brand to remember.
